love triangle with chat noir & claw noir
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: adrien agreste / chat noir x gn!reader x claw noir
tags: set during the paris special, romantic rivalry (chat vs. claw), flirting (cats with reader), lots of jealousy (both cats)
Tumblr media
when ladybug and chat noir ended up in a universe different to their own, where they were villains called shadybug and claw noir, you ended up stumbling into that universe as well!
the first person you ran into there was claw noir, who was the obviously evil counterpart to chat noir
upon meeting you, claw noir seems to be head over heels for you! he might be a villain, but he has a bit of a soft side for you and immediately starts flirting!
and when chat noir sees the two of you together, with his evil doppelgänger being all over you, he HATES it!
chat noir feels super weird about seeing ‘himself’ flirt with you and he hates that the person he's jealous of is kind of himself…?
claw noir has an easier time to separate himself from chat noir! he doesn't think he has anything in common with chat, aside from his miraculous, their feelings for you and… well, their face! or whole body, really–
when flirting with you, claw noir is far more brash and suggestive, while chat noir stumbles over his words in comparison to claw!
but chat noir is always around you, to prevent claw noir to get the chance to flirt with you! he's very protective, as he doesn't trust claw noir at all, despite the two of them being the same person
claw noir and chat noir are both very jealous! that's another thing they have in common but hate to admit!
chat noir hates the idea that you could fall in love with a villain, while claw noir believes villains are more fun than those boring heroes!
they constantly try to find a moment alone with you, but are constantly crossing each other's plans!

Chat Ate Catnip!?
Chat Noir x reader
Summary: Cat Noir gets into some catnip and start acting like a love sick puppy who is determined to be as clingy as possible with you.
Tumblr media
It was night in Paris and here you were laying on the couch next to your boyfriend cuddling him. You were watching Princess and the Frog, best movie ever, the movie was in its final scenes in ending.
"Mon amour, are you all right"?, Chat said looking at your awkward position.
"Hmm..I just have to use the bathroom", you said continuing to squeeze your thighs together to stop the irritation.
"Just go Mon amour, why hold it", Chat smiled brightly also maneuvering to sit up like you.
"I can't, it's my favorite part of the movie", You eagerly said before you saw Chat roll his eyes and pause the movie.
"There, now go Mon amour", Chat said watching you quickly get up before running to the bathroom to do your business.
Suddenly you heard a crash in the kitchen before you quickly finished using the bathroom before running into the kitchen.
"What happened, Chat are you hurt"?, You said scared upon seeing the mess on the floor. Turning the corner you saw a bag of catnip on the floor but before you could pick it up, You felt someone jump on top of you.
"ARGHH, What the-, Chat...What are you doing?", You asked in pain before looking at Chat angrily.
"Why did you do that?", But instead of answering Chat only hugged you tighter refusing to let you go.
You found the source of the problem, Chat had eaten catnip which altered him to act so weird. You tried to create some space but Chat just chose to jump on your back, staying there.
"No, don't leaveee, please", Chat adorably replied pouting with his cute lovesick eyes, making it so hard to refuse.
You almost caved...Never mind you caved in, I mean how could you leave Chat all alone, especially in this state. So you were basically his cuddle pillow.
"Were gonna be together forever and ever right...", Chat said with his infamous sweet smile that melts your heart on how adorable he looks.
"Of course baby", You smiled before gently playing with his hair.
"Hmm, baby I'm gonna go get's some water, I will be right back", you said getting up only to be dragged back down with Chat cuddling your arm.
"NO, you are not going anywhere amour", Chat grinned before laying his head on your lap.
You gave up trying to leave Chat, from his body basically on top of you and how fussy he got when you tried to move just an inch.
"It said it should last an hour or maybe more", You google 'What to do if your cat ate some catnip'.
"Luckily its nothing serious, only the cat would get super clingy, great", You smiled at the purring kitty resting on your leg.
"You tired Baby" " you grinned gently rubbing behind chat ear.
Chat gave a sleepy nod, rubbing his face deeper into your leg and enjoying the massage.
"Do you want to go to bed or stay here", You said admiring the way Chat looked all sleepy.
"Here", Chat quietly mumbled to you.
"Why don't you de-transform so you can be comfortable", You suggested before Chat quickly mumbled out 'Plagg claws in'.
You stood up before laying Chat down on the couch, "Where are you going?", Chat tiredly said before opening his eyes glancing up at you.
"I am going to go feed Plagg and put him to bed then I will cuddle you", You sweetly smiled. Yep, Plagg and Adrien love to stay over all the time so you decide to buy a small bed for Plagg to sleep in and restock on all his favorite cheeses. As you went to leave, you could hear Adrien getting up before following you to the kitchen.
"Here Plagg some Camembert", you saw Plagg quickly stuff the cheese down his belly.
"That was the best Camembert, Yum", Plagg said burping then rubbing his belly satisfied then flying towards your room to go to bed.
You dragged Adrien back to the couch before taking some of his spare pajamas he had left over here, to change into.
Adrien quickly changed before taking your hand and laying on the couch with his hands around your waist as his face buried into your neck.
You slowly lifted the blanket onto the two of you before hearing the soft purrs of Adrien sleeping before doing the same.

A/N: I finally caught up with everything and god, I love this silly guy so much. He needs a nap and lots of therapy after the end of season 5, please let him get therapy.
Tumblr media
There are big differences between his flirty remarks when he's on camera and when he's with you
Always has something clever to say when you try to flirt back with him, he knows you can't help but fall for his charms
Dates mostly happen during the night since he's busy with superhero work and other activities during the day
If he needs to he will ask one of his fellow heroes to cover for him so the two of you can have your date
Loves talking about the supervillains he's defeated with the help of his friends
Speaking of his friends, they're the only ones who he can talk about dating you so he annoys them with it
If it wouldn't put you in danger he would tell the whole world you were dating
Does indeed purr when you scratch behind his ears, under his chin or invite him over to cuddle in general
Sleeps over at your place as often as he can
Hates that he can't take you on a normal date like couples usually do but on the other hand who else can take you on top of the Eiffel Tower at night, overseeing the lights and streets of Paris
Always asks you if you've seen him inaction against the newest Akumatized villain, he wants the praise
Chat Noir uses his belt to pull you over to him so he can kiss you
If he misses a night or two you can be sure that it's because he was busy, not because he's bored with you or anything like that, he could never be
Kisses your hand every time he has to leave you, telling you that he will be back as soon as he can

You never expected to wake up in Paris—not the Paris you knew, but a version straight out of a TV screen. The last thing you remembered was falling asleep after yet another late-night binge of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, grumbling about how Marinette didn’t deserve the Miraculous of the Ladybug. She was clumsy, obsessive, and a borderline stalker when it came to Adrien.
“She doesn’t deserve it,” you’d mutter to yourself, turning off the screen. “I could do so much better.”
When you woke up, everything felt… different.
You weren’t in your bed, in your small, cozy apartment back in your real life. Instead, you were in a room you didn’t recognize, adorned with pictures of a family you’d never seen before. The soft morning light seeped through lacy curtains, and outside, the faint sound of Parisian streets hummed. Paris.
No. It couldn’t be.
You bolted upright, scanning the room. It was utterly surreal, yet painfully familiar. The pictures of the Eiffel Tower, the smell of croissants wafting through the house—this was Paris. But it wasn’t your Paris. It was the Paris of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir.
You stumbled to the mirror, half-expecting to see your usual face. But no, it was still you, albeit… younger. A moment of panic set in, but the surreal reality quickly overtook it. Somehow, impossibly, you were in the Miraculous universe. And if you were here, you knew exactly what was going to happen next.
Your initial excitement quickly morphed into envy. Marinette, in all her awkwardness, was destined to become the heroine, to wield the Ladybug Miraculous and save Paris. But why? You were smarter, more decisive, and less distracted. If anyone deserved that kind of power, it was you.
And then you realized—you could take it.
The memory of the Origins episode was fresh in your mind. Master Fu would soon be in trouble, and Marinette was supposed to save him. But if you acted first, you could claim the Miraculous and rewrite destiny itself.
The plan was simple: stay close to Marinette, wait for the right moment, and steal her fate.
That morning, your new parents—kind strangers who felt oddly warm—called you down to breakfast. They smiled as though you’d always been their child, and while it was disconcerting, you played along. Over croissants and jam, your mother handed you a small box of mooncake. “For your first day at your new school,” she said with a smile.
You nodded, murmuring your thanks. But your mind was already racing. You knew the plot. You knew what today would bring. You were determined to take the chance Marinette was supposed to have. After all, why not? If fate had given you this opportunity, then wasn’t it meant to be yours?
The streets of Paris were just as lively as you imagined, the sights both foreign and familiar. You approached the school with your cookies in hand, keeping an eye out for the key moment.
At the crosswalk, you saw him: Master Fu, the elderly guardian of the Miraculouses, hobbling across the street. You watched from a distance, your heart pounding as you spotted the scene unfolding. This was the moment. This was where Marinette was supposed to step in.
But not today.
You ran forward, reaching him just in time. “Sir, watch out!” you shouted, grabbing his arm and pulling him to safety. The car whizzed by, the driver honking angrily.
Master Fu looked up at you with a warm, grateful smile. “Thank you, young lady. That was very brave of you.”
You smiled warmly, masking your inner glee. “It was nothing, sir. Are you okay?”
He nodded, adjusting his cane. He wobbled precariously, and you helped steady  him. “Here, let me help you,” you said, guiding him to the sidewalk.
“That’s very kind of you,” he said, his voice filled with gratitude.
You noticed Marinette standing a few steps away, her box of macarons clutched tightly. She had seen the whole thing, but she hadn’t had a chance to act. You shot her a quick glance, a small smirk playing on your lips.
Would you like one of these?” you asked, pulling a mooncake from the box and handing it to Master Fu.
“Thank you,” he said, taking it with a smile. “You’re a very thoughtful young lady.”
Marinette hesitated, her eyes darting between you and Master Fu. “Um… I was going to—”
“Oh, were you?” you interrupted, feigning surprise. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”
Marinette frowned but didn’t respond. She tightened her grip on her macarons and walked away, her excitement from earlier dimmed.
As you made your way to school, a flicker of guilt passed through you. You now destroy Marinette’s chance to be Ladybug. No. You stole her chance to be Ladybug. But she didn’t need to be Ladybug. You were here now, and you would be better.
The classroom buzzed with energy as you entered. Marinette Dupain-Cheng sat near the front, she stares at you but quickly looks away. It's obvious she didn’t like you when a frown curved her mouth. You didn’t care, you're not here to be friends with her anyways. You took a seat a few rows away, watching as the class dynamics played out like clockwork: Chloé Bourgeois asserting her dominance, and Alya standing up for Marinette, But your focus was elsewhere. Your mind was on what would come later.
Later that day, the akuma attack on Stoneheart interrupted class. You feigned fear like everyone else, though inside, you were buzzing with anticipation. This was how the story began.
Because of what happened, school was suspended, sending every student back to the safety of their homes. You returned home to find a small ornate box on your desk. You opened it with trembling hands, revealing the Ladybug Miraculous. Tikki appeared, her tiny figure glowing with excitement.
You fake shout in surprise, asking what she is.
“Hello! I’m Tikki, your kwami. And Y/N, you’ve been chosen to wield the Ladybug Miraculous and protect Paris!”
You feigned shock, though inwardly you were thrilled. “Me? Are you sure? I’m just… I don’t know if I can do this.”
Tikki’s eyes sparkled. “You can. I believe in you. You have the courage and heart to protect Paris! Just wear the earring and say the phrase: Spots On!”
Meanwhile, Marinette couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. Her first day had started with such promise, but it had ended with a strange, gnawing emptiness.
She vented to Alya the next day. “It’s just… that girl, she swooped in and saved that man. I wanted to help, but she just… took over.”
Alya raised an eyebrow. “You mean Y/N? I don’t know her that well, but she seemed nice enough. Maybe you’re just thinking too much about it, Marinette.”
Marinette frowned. “Maybe…”
But the doubt lingered.
The battle against Stoneheart played out just as you had anticipated, though with one key difference: you were in control and you already knew what to do. With the help of Chat Noir, you used your Lucky Charm to defeat the villain and purify the akuma, restoring Ivan to normal.
The people of Paris cheered as you stood victorious. You had done it. You were Ladybug.
Days turned into weeks, and you quickly became the perfect hero Paris needed. You saved the city countless times, each victory cementing your role as its protector. Fighting alongside Chat Noir was exhilarating. The people adored you, showering you with praise and gratitude.
But Marinette hated you. She didn’t hide it, either. She avoided you at school, her glares sharp enough to cut glass whenever you crossed paths.
You returned the sentiment. Marinette’s bitterness annoys you to no end.
“I know you’re hiding something!! You’re not what they say you are!” Marinette snapped one day after school. “I know it!! You stole something from me!!
You smirked, leaning against a wall. “I don’t know what you're talking about Marinette, you can’t just convict me without evidence~ who knows I might slip and suddenly post this to the internet~” You said whilst holding a phone with evidence of Marinette stalking adrien.
Her face turned a lot more pale than it already was, her hands balled into fists, but she said nothing, storming off.
Despite your animosity, you excelled as Ladybug. Every akuma was defeated swiftly, every crisis averted. You were meticulous, calculating, and unyielding. Where Marinette would have hesitated, you acted decisively.
Paris flourished under your protection, and even Chat Noir—still oblivious to your identity—admired your skill and determination.
“You’re amazing, Ladybug,” Chat said one night after a battle. “I can’t imagine anyone else doing what you do.”
You smiled, leaning casually against a rooftop ledge. “Thanks, Chat. It’s nice to hear that.”
But deep down, you knew the truth. You hadn’t just stolen Marinette’s fate—you’d rewritten it entirely. And while guilt occasionally gnawed at you, the adoration of Paris drowned it out.
This was your destiny now, and you wouldn’t let anyone take it from you.
Marinette remained an ordinary girl, but something in her seemed to shift. She began to grow more suspicious of you, plagued by dreams where she was Ladybug.
The dreams started weeks later. Marinette woke up in a cold sweat, her heart pounding. In her dreams, she was Ladybug—fighting akumas, swinging through the city, standing beside Chat Noir.
“I am Ladybug..”
But when she woke up, reality hit her like a brick wall. That wasn’t her life. It was yours.
“No!! I am supposed to be Ladybug!!”
Confused and angry, she cornered you one day after class, eyes blazing with determination. “I know,” she said, her voice trembling with anger. “I know I was supposed to be Ladybug.”
You tilted your head, a cold smile playing on your lips. “Oh? And what makes you think that?”
“It feels real,” she insisted. “Like it’s a memory, not just a dream. No. I know it's real!! I am Ladybug!! You stole it from me! You're a thief Y/N!!”
You stepped closer, your voice dropping to a low, mocking tone. “Maybe I did. and Maybe I am. But let’s face it, Marinette—you’re no hero. You’re obsessive, and distracted by your crush on Adrien. Your stalker behavior is not something a heroine should possess. Paris deserves better, and that’s me. I already have the Miraculous, and doing a REALLY GREAT job at it, what makes you think you deserve it anymore??”
Her face flushed with anger, but she had no response. You walked away, triumphant. The Miraculous was no longer hers to claim, and you will make sure it stayed that way.
Paris sparkled under the moonlight as you stood on the Eiffel Tower, gazing over the city you had come to love—and rule as its heroine. With the weight of the Ladybug Miraculous and the Guardianship on your shoulders, you felt untouchable.
That was until a glowing portal split the sky open.
Out stepped Bunnix, her expression hard and accusing. She didn’t waste time with pleasantries. “We need to talk, Ladybug.”
You crossed your arms, feigning nonchalance. “Bunnix. To what do I owe the pleasure of a time traveler’s visit?”
Her eyes narrowed. “Cut the act. You know why I’m here.”
Chat Noir appeared at your side, his baton at the ready. “What’s going on, Bunnix? You seem… tense.”
Bunnix pointed at you. “She’s not supposed to be Ladybug.”
Chat Noir blinked, stepping protectively in front of you. “What are you talking about? She’s Ladybug. She’s saved Paris more times than we can count!”
“She’s not supposed to be here,” she said, her voice sharp as her glowing portal shimmered behind her. “Marinette Dupain-Cheng was supposed to be Ladybug. This version of reality shouldn’t exist! You’ve disrupted everything!”
You crossed your arms, unfazed. “Paris is safe, isn’t it? I’ve done my job. Heck I even did a good job saving this world”
Bunnix stepped closer, her tone accusatory. “You’ve changed it, I’ve seen it. Marinette was supposed to save Master Fu. She was supposed to receive the Miraculous. But you—you interfered. You stole her destiny!!”
Chat Noir stood protectively in front of you. “Hey, back off. Ladybug’s saved this city countless times. Who cares what was ‘supposed’ to happen and who can receive the Miraculous?!”
Bunnix glared at you both. “This isn’t just about this world. The timelines are unraveling because of her!”
You smirked, letting your mask of innocence drop. You gently push Chat noir aside, stepping closer to Bunnix.
“It doesn’t matter what was supposed to happen. I’m Ladybug now. I’m the Guardian, the center of this world. And if Chat Noir protecting me despite what I did isn’t proof enough that her fate as Ladybug now officially belongs to me *smirk* Haven’t realized it yet? This world is now synchronizing with me, just like how a world favors the protagonist… Marinette wasn’t fit for this responsibility, and I made sure Paris got the hero it deserves. And unfortunately for her, this world agrees, whether you like it or not~” You whispered lowly to her
Bunnix clenched her fists. “You’ve broken the balance. Do you realize what you’ve done? The entire multiverse is at risk!”
You shrugged. “Then I’ll fix it. As the Guardian, I have authority over all the Miraculouses, including yours.”
Bunnix’s eyes widened in realization. “You wouldn’t—”
With a wave of your hand, you summoned the Bunny Miraculous. The portal behind Bunnix flickered and closed as her powers were stripped away. She staggered, powerless, and glared at you with fury.
“You can’t do this!” she shouted as she was returned to the timeline she came from.
“Oh, I can,” you said, your voice icy. “And I will.”
You donned the Bunny Miraculous and rewrote reality, ensuring Marinette never became Ladybug in any timeline.
You stood tall, the portal you had summoned with Fluff's guidance shimmered with an ethereal glow, its swirling energies casting a kaleidoscope of colors across the rooftop. Beside you, Chat Noir’s green eyes were filled with uncertainty, a rare crack in his usually confident demeanor.
“Ladybug,” Chat Noir said softly, his voice almost pleading, “are you sure this is the right thing to do? I trust you, but... tampering with time feels... dangerous.”
You turned to him, a small, serene smile gracing your lips, the halo of your presence making him instinctively relax. The effect was subtle but undeniable—your words carried weight, as though the universe itself bent to support you. This power, this influence, wasn’t yours initially. You had stolen it, just like Marinette’s fate. But now, it was yours, and you wielded it masterfully.
“Chat Noir,” you began, your voice steady and filled with conviction, “this isn’t about what’s easy. It’s about what’s necessary.”
“But the timeline—changing things could destroy—”
“Destroy what, exactly?” you interrupted gently, your tone laced with practiced sincerity. “I’ve already disrupted it simply by being here. If I don’t act now, the balance will collapse entirely. I’ll vanish, Chat. We’ll vanish.”
He froze, his hands clenching tightly around his staff. “Vanish? What do you mean?”
Your expression softened, your red eyes glistening with what seemed like vulnerability. “I wasn’t meant to be here, remember? If the universe realizes I don’t belong, it’ll correct itself—and I’ll disappear, taking everything we’ve built with me. Paris will lose its Ladybug. You’ll lose me, Chat.”
The thought seemed to strike him deeply. His jaw tensed, his emerald gaze flickering with desperation. “I can’t let that happen. But why go to every timeline? Why stop... Marinette?”
You reached out, placing a gloved hand on his cheek. The gesture was intimate, calculated. “Because Marinette was never meant to have this power. She wasn’t strong enough. Look at what I’ve accomplished, Chat. Paris has never been safer. The people trust us, they trust me. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if someone weaker had been given this responsibility? She would’ve crumbled under the pressure, endangering everyone.”
Chat Noir looked away, guilt and hesitation written all over his face. “But... Marinette never seemed... bad.”
You tilted his chin back to face you, your voice a quiet murmur, dripping with affection and manipulation. “That’s because you don’t know what she would’ve done with this power. Trust me, Chat. I’m not doing this for myself—I’m doing it for Paris. For us.”
His resolve wavered, the pull of your halo overwhelming his doubts. The world revolved around you now, and it was only natural that he would follow your lead.
“I don’t want to lose you, Ladybug,” he finally admitted, his voice barely audible.
“You won’t,” you assured him, your fingers brushing against his. “But I need you to trust me. Together, we’ll ensure that this world—and every other—is safe and whole. I’ll fix everything. I promise.”
With a reluctant nod, Chat Noir stepped back, his staff lowering in submission. “I trust you, Milady. Always.”
The portal grew brighter, illuminating your face with a crimson glow as you stepped forward. Inwardly, you reveled in your triumph. This wasn’t just about fixing timelines or ensuring balance—it was about solidifying your place as the center of this world. The Ladybug. The hero. The one who mattered most.
Marinette would never again have the chance to be Ladybug, not in this timeline or any other. The universes would belong to you now. With one last glance at Chat Noir, you stepped through the portal, ready to rewrite reality itself.

ADDITIONAL SCENARIO:
The sky above Paris was a canvas of pink and gold hues, a fitting backdrop for the triumphant end of an era. Hawkmoth had been defeated, his Miraculous reclaimed, and the balance of power restored. The Miracle Box was secured, its treasures now beyond the reach of those who would misuse them. For the first time in years, Paris was at peace, its people celebrating the heroes who had brought them here.
Standing atop the Eiffel Tower, you gazed over the city with Adrien by your side. The red and black of your Ladybug suit shimmered faintly in the setting sunlight, a symbol now synonymous with victory, hope, and resilience. Adrien, still in his Chat Noir guise but no longer bearing the same burdens, looked at you with admiration.
“You did it,” he said softly, a smile spreading across his face. “Ladybug, you saved everyone.”
The words should have brought unmitigated joy, and they did—partially. The world was safe, and Paris adored you. People cheered as your identity was revealed, their faith in their heroine unshaken. Even Adrien, your partner in battle and in life, stood unwaveringly by your side, his pride in you radiating like the sun.
Yet, beneath the surface, you couldn’t quite shake an unfamiliar tension. It wasn’t guilt, not exactly. It was a feeling you couldn’t name, a quiet unease that lingered despite the cheers and celebrations.
“Do you think it’s really over?” you asked, your voice barely louder than the wind.
Adrien’s hand found yours, squeezing gently. “It’s over, my Lady. You’ve done more than anyone could have ever asked for. Paris, no—the world owes you everything.” His green eyes met yours, filled with warmth and certainty. “I owe you everything.”
His words should have been enough, and in many ways, they were. You leaned against him, allowing the comfort of his presence to settle over you.
The streets below were alive with celebration. Parisians rejoiced, the weight of fear and uncertainty finally lifted. Even beyond Paris, the world had embraced you as their Ladybug, their symbol of hope. For the first time, everything felt aligned, as though the universe itself had recognized your place at its center.
And yet, in the quiet moments between Adrien’s reassurances and the city’s applause, that tension remained.
Elsewhere in Paris, Marinette sat on the balcony of her cozy apartment, a faint smile playing on her lips as she watched Luka strum his guitar. The melody was soft and soothing, wrapping around her like a warm embrace.
“I never thought I’d see the day,” she said, her voice wistful but not bitter.
Luka glanced up, his expression calm and understanding. “The city is safe now. That’s what matters.”
She nodded, her gaze drifting to the distant Eiffel Tower. She didn’t envy you—not entirely. She had carved out a life for herself, a happy one. The bakery was thriving, her designs were starting to gain recognition, and Luka’s steady presence brought her a sense of peace she hadn’t known she needed.
But deep down, there was an ache she couldn’t quite ignore. She had once dreamed of being Ladybug, of carrying the weight of the Miraculous and protecting Paris. That dream had been taken from her, rewritten in a way she couldn’t change. And while she didn’t begrudge your success—how could she? You had saved them all—there was a part of her that mourned what might have been.
“Do you think she’s happy?” Marinette asked suddenly, surprising even herself.
Luka’s fingers paused on the strings. “I think she did what she believed was right,” he said after a moment. “And I think she’s still figuring out what happiness looks like.”
Marinette nodded, her faint smile returning. It wasn’t the life she had imagined, but it was hers. And with Luka by her side, she could find contentment in that.
Back atop the Eiffel Tower, you stood with Adrien as the last rays of sunlight disappeared, casting the city in twilight. Paris was happy. The world was happy. And you were, too—or at least, you told yourself you were.
“Do you feel it?” Adrien asked, breaking the silence.
“Feel what?”
“The peace,” he said with a soft laugh. “It’s overwhelming. I’ve never seen Paris like this.”
You smiled, his words grounding you. “It’s everything I worked for.”
“And you deserve it,” he said firmly, pulling you into an embrace. “You deserve all of it.”
The weight of his belief in you was as comforting as it was daunting. For now, you let yourself believe it, let yourself bask in the happiness you had fought so hard to create.
Paris was safe, and you were its hero. The world had accepted you, embraced you, celebrated you. Yet, as you looked out over the city, the faint tension lingered—a quiet reminder that even in victory, some battles are never truly won.

Could you write an Adrien x reader imagine where they’re forced to date by their parents to promote an upcoming fashion collaboration something, and then go from hating each other and being super fake to falling in love for real?
You know what? I postponed this ask waaaay to much. So what did I do? I sat down and took up your challenge. Go and enjoy the story you asked for but I never put the effort to make - until now e.e
warnings? no warnings apply :p
Tumblr media
You always thought arranged dates were a relic of the past, something that only happened in old movies or distant cultures. Yet here you were, sitting across from Adrien Agreste, the face of the Agreste fashion empire.
Your parents have arranged this meeting to promote an upcoming collaboration between their brands, hoping the buzz around your "relationship" would skyrocket their sales.
Adrien looked perfect, as always—his blond hair artfully tousled, green eyes bright but distant. Always maintaining the perfect façade. Unlike you, painfully aware of every imperfection and every nervous gesture.
"Let's get one thing straight," Adrien said, breaking the silence. His voice was calm but firm. "We don’t have to like each other, but we do have to make this work."
You nodded, feeling a mix of relief and annoyance. "Agreed. Let's just get through this."
For the next hour, you both put on a show for the paparazzi lurking outside, sharing forced smiles and rehearsed lines. The whole encounter felt like a poorly scripted play, and you couldn't wait for it to end.
The next few weeks were a whirlwind of public appearances, photo shoots, and meticulously planned dates. Your parents had spared no expense in crafting the perfect narrative: two young heirs, brought together by fate and fashion. But behind the scenes, your interactions with Adrien were cold and apathetic.
One evening, after yet another tedious event, you found yourself walking alone in the Agreste mansion. The luxury of the place was suffocating, each room a reminder of the pressure you were under.
You wandered into the library, seeking solace among the rows of books.
"You like to read?" Adrien's voice startled you.
You turned to find him leaning against the doorway, a curious look on his face. "Yeah," you admitted. "It's one of the few ways I can escape."
He nodded, stepping into the room. "I get that. Sometimes I feel like my whole life is scripted. But I prefer watching anime to get some distraction." And patrolling as Chat Noir, though he wasn’t about to expose his best-kept secret to you.
For a moment, you saw a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes, and it struck a chord within. Maybe you weren't so different after all.
As the days passed, the cracks in your mutual disdain began to show. You still argued over trivial things and maintained a facade of disinterest, but there were moments—small, fleeting moments—when you glimpsed the real Adrien beneath his polished exterior.
One afternoon, you were both at a photoshoot for the collaboration campaign. The theme was a romantic picnic, complete with a vintage blanket and a basket of props. The director called for a break, and you and Adrien found yourselves alone in the park.
"Here," Adrien said, handing you a water bottle. "You look like you could use this."
"Thanks," you replied, surprised by the gesture. "I didn't expect you to be so… thoughtful."
He shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips. "There are a lot of things you don't know about me."
He hesitated, then said, "Like how terrible I am at cooking. I once set the kitchen on fire trying to make toast."
You laughed, picturing the usually composed Adrien in such a chaotic situation. "Seriously? Toast?"
He grinned, a little sheepishly. "Yeah, it was pretty bad. I had to call the fire department and everything. My father was not impressed."
You chuckled, the tension between you easing a bit. "Well, remind me never to let you near my kitchen."
He laughed along with you, the sound genuine and warm. "Deal. And maybe one day you can teach me how to make toast without causing a disaster."
One day, after a particularly exhausting photoshoot, Adrien and you found yourselves with a rare afternoon off. Deciding to make the most of it, you both ended up in the Agreste mansion's sprawling garden. The setting was beautiful and serene, a perfect escape from the public eye.
As you wandered through the lush greenery, admiring the flowers, you suddenly felt a cold splash of water on your neck. You turned around to see Adrien standing there, a mischievous grin on his face and a small water gun in his hand.
"Did you just...?" you began, but before you could finish, he squirted you again, laughing.
"Lighten up!" he teased. "It's just a bit of water."
You couldn't help but laugh, the unexpected prank breaking through the formality that often hung between you. "Oh, you're going to regret that!" you said, grabbing a nearby watering can and splashing him back.
What ensued was a playful water fight, with both of you dodging and splashing, laughing like carefree kids. It felt liberating to let go and just have fun, forgetting about the pressures and expectations that usually weighed you down.
Finally, drenched and out of breath, you both collapsed onto the grass, still giggling.
"Okay, I have to admit, that was pretty fun," you said, wiping water from your face.
Adrien smiled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "See? I knew you had it in you."
"Just don't make a habit of it," you warned playfully. "Or I might have to come up with a prank of my own."
"I'd like to see you try," he challenged, his grin widening.
As you lay there, catching your breath, you realized that this was the first time you'd seen Adrien truly relax and let his guard down. It made it more obvious that he's not just a perfect, polished model, but a real person who wants to laugh and have fun.
As the collaboration launch approached, your relationship with Adrien grew deeper. You began to spend more time together, not just for the cameras, but because you genuinely enjoyed each other's company. You talked about everything—your favourite anime, your dreams, your fears, your hopes for the future.
One day, you were both at a charity event for Adrien's school, where he introduced you to his friends. Nino, Marinette, Alya—they were welcoming and kind, and you felt a pang of envy at the close-knit group they formed.
"You're lucky to have such great friends," you said to Adrien as you watched them from a distance.
"I know," he replied, a fond smile on his face. "They keep me grounded."
"Tell me more about them," you urged.
He did, and as he spoke, you saw a different side of him—one that was caring, loyal, and deeply connected to those he loved. It made you like him even more.
The night of the collaboration launch arrived, and the event was a resounding success. The venue was abuzz with excitement, filled with influential guests, dazzling lights, and the perfect blend of glamour and sophistication. Your parents were thrilled, the media couldn't get enough, and every detail had gone off without a hitch.
After a whirlwind of interviews, photos, and obligatory mingling, you and Adrien finally managed to slip away to a quiet balcony overlooking the city. The cool night air was a welcome respite from the heat and noise inside.
"We did it," you said, raising your glass to him. The city lights reflected in your eyes, adding a sparkle that matched your mood.
"Yeah, we did," he agreed, clinking his glass with yours. His smile was genuine, not just for the cameras this time. "But I want to tell you something."
You raised an eyebrow, heart beating, curiosity piqued. "Oh? What's that?"
He took a deep breath, looking out over the city before turning back to you. "I don't want this to end. This whole thing. I know it started as a publicity stunt, but somewhere along the way, it became real for me."
Your heart skipped a beat. "I...". The sincerity in his eyes was unmistakable. "I actually feel the same way," you admitted, feeling a rush of warmth on your face.
He laughed, a light, joyful sound that made your heart flutter. "Good. Because pretending to be in love with you was starting to feel way too easy."
You blushed, a mix of relief and happiness washing over you. "So, what now?"
Adrien stepped closer, cupping your face in his hands. "Let's stop pretending and see where this takes us. For real this time."
Adrien stepped closer, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair from your face. "Now," he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper, "we make this real."
Before you could respond, he leaned in, his lips capturing yours in a kiss that was both tender and passionate. The world around you faded away, leaving just the two of you in that perfect moment. You could feel the genuine emotion behind his kiss, a stark contrast to the rehearsed displays of affection you'd shown the world.
As the kiss deepened, you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His hands found their way to your waist, holding you as if he never wanted to let go. The kiss was intoxicating, filled with all the feelings you'd both been holding back.
When you finally pulled away, breathless and smiling, Adrien rested his forehead against yours. "I've wanted to do that for so long," he confessed, his voice full of warmth.
"Me too," you replied, feeling a flutter of joy.
The pressures of your parents and the fashion world still loomed, but they felt more manageable with Adrien by your side.

Would you please ask me for a favor or a tiny little question? Time is slipping through my fingers like grains of sand... Boredom has wrapped itself around me, and my inbox is emptier than my wallet. It's so quiet, not even an echo would dare speak... Just one word, one sentence, maybe even a simple “Hello?” would be enough. Come on, let’s have a little chat, shall we?

Can you please write a platonic Yandere Adrien with (best) friend reader. Reader also has a miraculous, Adrien finds out. Kinda like a scenario
Please don't read this if you are uncomfortable with the yandere!
Pairing: Yandere! Adrien x Reader
tw: platonic obsession, stealing other people's things
Adrian sighs heavily. Lately, too many problems have been piling up on him. He didn't get a moment's peace at school. His father was constantly demanding something. And Hawk Moth seemed to never sleep. He added work for the heroes at the most inconvenient times. During a recent attack on the city, another person joined the famous hero duo. A little later, Adrian (or Chat Noir, to be precise) learned that Ladybug had nothing to do with it. This made him worry. Who is this person? Can they be trusted? And where did another Miraculous come from that doesn't belong to the guardian of the box? Too many questions filled the blond's head.
———
You greet Adrien with a joyful hug. The boy finally relaxes and forgets all his worries. In your presence, he feels calm. You excitedly start telling him about a new game and make him promise to play it with you this weekend. Adrien looks around the classroom. Every classmate is busy with their own thing. Once (when he had just started going to school) they used to tease you with jokes about being long-lost sibling. You two had just become friends too quickly and easily. Adrien sometimes joked himself that you were actually an Agreste. A bright glint distracts Adrien from his memories, and he notices a new pendant on your chest.
"What’s that?" Adrien asks.
You don't immediately understand what he's talking about. But when you catch his gaze, you start to stammer.
"Oh… Umm… just a piece of jewelry," you answer awkwardly.
"I’ve never seen you wear it before."
"I found it recently in a shop. Just some junk. Doesn't matter," you laugh nervously and change the subject.
Adrien raises an eyebrow in surprise. You've never behaved like this before. So… strange. It's like you're hiding something.
———
The villain throws Chat Noir into some trash cans and moves further into the city center, leading Ladybug away. Cat Noir groans in pain and tries to stand up, not very gracefully. A new hero lands softly next to him and extends a hand.
"I thought cats always land on their feet."
"Ha. Very funny," Chat Noir grumbles, but accepts the help. Chat Noir's gaze stops at the new hero's Miraculous. It's a pendant. The jewelry reminds him of something, but he can't remember what exactly.
"Let's deal with this quickly. I still need to make it to the book fair," the hero heads towards the noise, not waiting for his partner.
Chat Noir freezes. There’s only one fair in the city today. And Adrien was already planning to go there with you. A strange feeling washes over him. Now that he knows the new hero will be there too, he’s not so sure if he should go. Although there will be hundreds of people. The chance of revealing someone's identity is practically zero. Even if he accidentally starts scanning the crowd.
———
Ladybug was delayed. The heroes found themselves in a disadvantageous position. They barely escaped. Chat Noir was in a panic. He admitted that he hadn’t come up with the best plan. But the idea was reliable if they wanted to throw the villain’s minions off their trail. The minions ability will not allow them to find specific heroes if the heroes exchange Miraculouses and become new heroes. They needed to buy time until Ladybug showed up. That was what Adrien thought as he handed his ring to his partner behind the door.
He shuddered at the thought that if they wanted to betray him and reveal their connection to Hawk Moth, now would be the perfect moment. But they obediently handed him their pendant. Adrien almost thanked them but restrained himself. It was best not to talk too much without the magic of the Miraculouses. After all, Adrien was a famous model and it wasn’t hard to recognize his voice.
He finally looked at the other’s Miraculous and felt a shock. In his fingers lay a very familiar object. He couldn’t help but recognize your pendant. He had looked at it too often since he first noticed it. You were the new hero. Adrien panicked, wondering if you would recognize his ring. You rarely paid close attention to his hands. The hero (it can’t be… it’s you!) knocked on the door and asked him to hurry. Adrien decided to put his inner turmoil aside. The city needed saving right now.
———
The next day, Adrien watches you more closely than ever. You act as usual, which leads him to think that you haven't figured out Chat Noir's identity. A whirlwind of emotions overwhelms him. He's angry that you haven't told him anything. He understands you because he kept his secret the same way. And he's scared. What if one day you can't handle a villain? What if Hawk Moth finds out too? What if all of Paris learns your identity? Adrien starts to have a small panic attack. Nino jumps up and tries to help. Adrien is gasping for breath and can't explain anything.
-------
Adrien sneaks into the empty locker room while you and the class are swimming in the pool. It's one of the rare moments when you take off your pendant. It turns out that not all Miraculouses are as convenient as his ring or Ladybug's earrings. He never thought about how lucky he was before. He quickly finds your locker and breaks into it. The lock is so flimsy that Adrien feels a bit ashamed of how easily he was able to open it. He grabs the pendant and goes to hide it in his bag.
Adrien mentally prepares himself to comfort you. If he lost his Miraculous, he would be horrified. He thinks about what words he could say to console you. Adrien wonders if you would tell him your secret if you had nothing left to lose. He wants this. This will prove your trust in him.
Adrien thinks about what to do with your Miraculous now. He would like to use it sometimes along with his ring. But that would completely ruin your opinion of Chat Noir. Maybe he should bury the Miraculous in the forest or throw it into the sea so that no one could find it.
Now, you don't have to worry about the villains. And Adrien doesn't have to worry about your safety. Protecting Paris is no longer your job. Ladybug and Chat Noir will handle it together.

Do you write for Claw Noir? If not just ignore this. Can you write a Claw Noir falling in love with reader from another dimension and isn't sure what to do because he doesn't know what love is please
Love? What is Love?
Claw Noir x reader
Summary: above in the request.
Tumblr media
Claw Noir stared at the strange, glowing portal that had appeared in his dimly lit alleyway.
He had seen a lot of weird stuff in his time as a cat burglar, but this was something else.
Suddenly, a girl tumbled out of the shimmering light. You had long, c hair and big eyes.
Claws' ears perked up as you looked around, clearly disoriented.
"Where...where am I?" you muttered.
Claw Noir approached you slowly, not wanting to scare you off. "You're in the city. What's your name?"
"I'm (your name)," you said, still looking around. "I was just walking home from the library, and then...and then this happened!"
Claw Noir blinked. Library? What was that? But he pushed on. "I'm Claws. Do you need some help?"
you looked at him, and your eyes widened. "You're a cat! A talking cat in a suit!"
Claw Noir shrugged. "Yeah. I'm a bit of an oddity."
But to his surprise, you just giggled. "Well, Claws, I think I could use your help. I have no idea how to get back home."
Claw Noir nodded. He knew the city like the back of his paw. "I can help you find someone who can deal with that portal thingy. But first, how about some food? You look starving."
Your face lit up. "I am starving! But I don't have any money..."
Claw Noir waved a paw. "Don't worry about it. I've got this covered."
And with that, Claws took you on a grand adventure through the city's rooftops and hidden corners.
They shared fish from a street vendor, and you told him about your world - a world with towering buildings that touched the sky, and people who stared at little glowing rectangles all day.
Claws told you about his cons, about how he outsmarted the cops at every turn.
As the night wore on, Claws found himself wanting to spend more and more time with you.
He found himself grinning like a fool whenever you laughed, and he felt a pang in his chest whenever you touched his arm.
But what was this feeling? He'd never felt it before. He only looked out for himself.
The next day, Claws took you to see a guy who owed him a favor - a weird old dude who knew about magic and stuff.
The old guy examined the portal, muttering to himself. Finally, he looked up.
"I can get you back home, girl. But it's gonna take a few hours to set up."
You let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much!"
Claws felt that pang again, sharper this time. He didn't want you to go.
But at the same time, he couldn't ask you to stay in this hard, mean city. So he just nodded. "I'll show you around until it's ready."
As the hours ticked by, Claws found himself opening up to you in ways he never had with anyone before.
He told you about his past, about how he'd survived on the streets since he was a kitten.
He told you about his fears, about how he was always looking over his shoulder.
And through it all, you listened with kind eyes. You didn't judge him, like everyone else did.
Finally, the old guy called them over. The portal was glowing again. You hugged Claws tightly. "Thank you for everything. I'll never forget you."
Claws hugged you back, feeling his eyes sting. What was wrong with him? He never got emotional.
But as he watched you step through the portal and vanish, he realized what that weird feeling was.
He was in love. He was in love, and he didn't know what to do about it.

⋆.ೃ࿔*♡:・“no matter what you say or what you do, when i’m alone i’d rather be with you.”
↳ syn: you and cat noir have a interesting conversation after fighting a villain…
this will be part 6 to my valentine’s series!
❀ - fluff, female! miraculous holder! reader
h/n = hero name
Tumblr media
“phew, glad that’s over.” cat noir says, struggling to catch his breath
“yeah, agreed.” you reply.
you two had previously just fought a villain, and it was late at night.
you had school tomorrow, but you knew that you had to complete this mission with cat noir.
luckily, the mission was a success.
“h/n, there’s something that i need to tell you.” cat noir says, out of nowhere.
“yes, cat noir?”
anxiety clouds your mind, not knowing what cat noir is about to say.
“i really like you, h/n.” cat noir admits.
his response flusters you, a confession like this wasn’t expected from cat noir.
“i like you too, cat noir. i still don’t know your real name or who you really are though, so can we even be together?” you ask.
cat noir frowns in response, feeling the truth in your statement.
you both go silent for a few minutes.
cat noir’s eyes light up, an idea coming to mind.
“i actually don’t care about hiding who i am from you, h/n. i know and trust you enough to reveal my true identity…”
cat noir’s suit turns into a t-shirt and plain jeans, revealing that he is adrien agreste, a popular boy from your school.
“ADRIEN?” you eyes widen in response, shock painted across your face.
adrien then grabs your arm, pulling you in close towards him.
“you don’t have to reveal yourself to me if you aren’t ready, h/n. i like you no matter who you are.” he says.
you lean your head on his shoulder, not saying anything in response.
as you two bask in the comfortable silence, adrien then pulls you in for a passionate kiss.
maybe soon you’ll reveal your true self to him.

The Wall Between Us
Tumblr media Tumblr media
masterlist Synopsis: What if you're Ladybug but also Adrien's ex? Pairings: Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir x Reader Note: It's been a while since the last time I updated here in Tumblr. I missed you guys so much.
Tumblr media
The moon hung high above Paris tonight, casting a pale light in your bedroom. The night felt heavier than usual, the silence is making your ears ring. You lie curled on your side, face half-buried in the pillow, eyes glassy and red-rimmed. Your chest tightens, breaths uneven, lips trembling as they fight back a sob. Sheets lay tangled around you, the silence finally broken only by a shaky inhale on the edge of tears.
“I'm worried about you, (Y/n).” Tikki spoke, she hovered over your pillow.
Sighing, you raised your gaze to look at your surroundings and your kwami. Tikki is genuinely worried about you. Behind her, it’s evident that you’re moping around your bedroom for a few days now. Your room slightly a mess with some of your pillows off the bed and clothes and papers clutter the floor. “It’s just so hard Tikki.”
It's hard seeing the person whom you loved so much appear in front you after a long time of having no contact. He looked good, too good as if time never touched him at all. He still looks effortlessly put together. His tousled blond hair frames a soft, hesitant yet kind smile. One that lingers in your mind long after he’s gone. And it's true, even though he's gone you can't help but still think about him.
"Are you still thinking about him?" Tikki said softly, landing on your shoulder.
"It's hard for me because it feels like I haven't moved on at all." Maybe it must've been you who was not touched by time at all. Still stuck in the moment where he probably left and moved on. "I thought I was finally doing well, but when I saw him that day... It felt as if my heart broke in pieces again."
For so long, you had tried to let go, to convince yourself that he wasn’t yours to hold onto anymore. But then he walked through the school doors, and suddenly, it all came rushing back.
Adrien Agreste, finally here. Finally outside the cage his father had built for him—at least, as much as Gabriel Agreste allowed. He had been given permission to attend school, to make friends, to live just a little more freely. But that’s all it ever was with him, wasn’t it? Permission.
His father had allowed this, but he hadn’t allowed you.
That was what stung the most. Adrien had asked to be with you, just like he had asked to go to school. And when his father said no? That was it. He hadn’t fought. He hadn’t pushed back. He had let their love be another thing controlled, another thing taken from him—except it wasn’t just taken from him. It was taken from you, too.
"Maybe you just need more time."
It sounded so simple, but how long are you going to wait? Time passing hasn't erased anything but only repressed these feelings you're burdened with. What hurt the most is that being Ladybug was the only thing keeping you together. With the mask on, there was no time to overthink, no space for heartbreak. Every leap across rooftops, every successful lucky charms, every purified akuma gave you a purpose that had nothing to do with the weight in your chest. And with Chat Noir, he somehow helps alleviate the heavy feeling on your chest. His jokes, no matter how ridiculous, pulled a smile from you. The way he trusted you so completely, without hesitation, made it feel like you're not alone.
"I need some air." You sat abruptly.
"Like a patrol? Right now?" Tikki asked
"Yeah, just a quick one. I promise."
After transforming, you quickly went on your way to clear your head through feeling the crisp breeze of the night air while silently hopping across rooftops and eventually settling on one with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. Paris looked peaceful from up here. Timeless, untouched by the chaos of everyday life unless Hawkmoth is still awake at this ungodly hour.
You wished you could feel the same.
Settling onto the edge of the roof, you let out a slow breath, your gaze tracing the winding roads, the tiny specks of people still moving through the city, living their lives. It should have been comforting. This was your Paris, the place you had sworn to protect. But tonight, it only made you feel smaller, like you were watching the world move on without you.
"Rooftop brooding? I thought that was my thing."
You tensed, already knowing who it was before turning. Chat Noir stood a few feet away, arms crossed, his usual smirk in place, but there was something softer in his gaze, something knowing.
You huffed, looking away. "I’m not brooding."
"Right," he said, stepping closer. "Just dramatically staring at the Eiffel Tower in the dead of night. Totally normal behavior."
You rolled your eyes, but the usual bite wasn’t there. Maybe because he wasn’t wrong. Maybe because, for all his teasing, he wasn’t pushing you to explain. He was just there, as he always was.
Chat Noir sighed, leaning against the ledge beside you. "Rough night?"
You look at him, your eyes are glassy. They lack the usual confidence and spark. Chat Noir doesn't have to second guessed that these eyes cried a river and had no tears left to cry. His gaze softened, but you know he's not the type to pry in your personal problems because the two of you swore that no one could know who you are even the both you as trusted partners. However, the weight of your feelings is clamoring for you to speak up. Pour your heart out for a cathartic bliss.
You hesitated. You could lie, brush it off, change the subject. But what was the point? He’d see right through you anyway.
"You ever feel like…" You swallowed, you panned your eyes on the city below. "Like no matter how hard you try to move forward, the past keeps dragging you back?"
Chat was quiet for a moment. Then, in a voice softer than she expected, he said, "Yeah. More than you know."
You turned to look at him, surprised by the weight behind his words. His usual carefree mask had slipped, just a little.
You held his gaze for a second longer than you meant to. There was something unspoken in his eyes, something that made your chest tighten. It wasn’t the usual playfulness, the relentless optimism you had come to expect from him. It was understanding. A quiet, aching kind of understanding. Why do you know this?
You looked away first. “It’s just frustrating,” you admitted, gripping your yoyo and tracing your thumb along the details maybe it might help you piece the words you’ll say. “I keep telling myself I’m over it, that I’ve moved on, but then—” You exhaled sharply, shaking your head. “Then I see him, and it’s like no time has passed at all.”
Chat didn’t respond right away, and for a moment, you wondered if you said too much. But then he chuckled, though it was a little hollow.
“Yeah. Feelings are annoying like that.”
You glanced glanced at him, catching the way his jaw tensed, how his usual easy smirk faltered just slightly. He wasn’t just humoring you. He understood too well.
You hesitated. “There’s someone, isn’t there?”
Chat’s ears twitched, and for the first time that night, he looked caught off guard. “What?”
You tilted your head, studying him. “You speak like someone who knows exactly what I mean.”
He opened his mouth as if to deny it, but then he just sighed, running a gloved hand through his hair. “Yeah,” he admitted. “There is.”
That surprised you more than it should have. Chat Noir had always been flirty, always joking about his “undying love” for you. But this? This was different.
You swallowed. “What happened?”
Chat shrugged, his smile small and tired. “I let one thing destroy the only thing precious to me.”
You knew that feeling all too well.
For a while, the both of you just sat there, side by side, staring out over the city. No teasing, no banter—just quiet understanding.
And maybe, just for tonight, that was enough.

Beneath the surface
Chat Noir x reader
Chapter one — Acrophobia
Moving to Paris is a fresh, fresh beginning for you. Maybe it was a too big of a leap, but you’re excited, and you’re young, so why not? Though you can’t ignore the tender ache in your stomach. Gotta love anxiety.
It’s only when you step through the inside doors that you realise you have left your damn water bottle behind at your apartment. But then the bell rings, and immediately there’s a hundred footsteps, talking and yelling and someone actually barges into you. You can’t tell who it was anyway because they get lost in the sea of moving people. Scrambling for your campus map, you try and find your class. B5?
Finally finding the room, you open the door with an exasperated energy. But upon seeing the space, you realise that the class is not cinematography. At all.
A naked muscular man sits in the front of the room, posing on a stool as the student artists paint a portrait. Your eyes spring open and you can feel people start to look at you. You go to leave, stepping backwards. “Shit— sorry! I’m in the wrong class—“
You bump into a table filled with clay figures, fumbling a bunch of apologies as you knock one over and it smashes on the ground. What’s even worse is that people begin laughing as your skin flushes warm. You fall to the ground and scramble at the broken pieces.
”Hey—“
At the sudden close proximity of a voice, your head snaps up. A clean hit to the owner of the voice’s nose. A groan comes from above you as you whip your attention to the person.
His hand clutches at his face as you blabber, “I am so so sorry, oh my god…”
”It’s okay, it’s okay,” he pinches his nose, eyes squinted. “You dropped this,” he extends your book towards you with his free hand.
You tuck your hair out of your face and when you get a proper look at him, you swallow dryly. It’s when his green eyes finally meet yours, and you take your book with quick fingers.
He offers you a little smile, but it falters when he looks to the smashed pot on the ground.
You tuck your book tightly into your chest. “Was that yours?” You ask softly, face contorted in shame.
“Yes,” he slowly says, lolling those green eyes back to yours, and you catch the smallest twitch of them widening. “It’s… fine, though.”
Oddly enough, there’s a second of silence before the professor echoes a loud ‘ahem’. You scramble out of the class, offering another clumsy sorry as you leave, unknowingly having the same pair of green eyes following you as you do.
Once you’re finally in cinematography, a nice girl with tan skin and dark red hair chats to you as she polishes her glasses. She says her name’s Alya and it’s hard because you’re trying to listen to the teacher, especially because he was a bit annoyed at your lateness but she’s blabbering in your ear. You don’t have the heart to try and tell her to stop especially because you’re new and well, alone. You need to make friends.
”I was supposed to be taking audio and film instead of this class, but apparently, this branches more opportunity,” she uses quote fingers, rolling her eyes. “Anyway, I can thank my boyfriend for that—“
She gets hushed by the teacher, but after five seconds she slowly turns her head back to you, as if expecting you to start talking.
“I’m taking a performing arts bachelor,” you whisper. “I’d like to be an actress… or something like that.”
“Oooh nice,” Alya wiggles her words, once again getting hushed by the teacher.
After two full, long classes, you head out into the main courtyard like most of the students at the university. Some are on phones, some are in animated conversation. You see an oak tree at the far end of the courtyard, with a wide trunk and plenty of shade. You can’t see anyone nearby, so you make your way over, and you plan to sit on the grass against the tree when you feel someone clutch your shoulder.
”Girl, where do you think you’re going?” Ayla’s voice seeps into your ears, her glossed lips stretched in a smile. You open your mouth to reply but she beats you to it, pulling your shoulder to walk with her. “Come meet my best frieeend, oh my god, you’ll love Marinette, she’s amazing.”
You follow her with a nod, a pleasant wave of relief actually washing through you. She pulls you to a table under a tree’s shade. Marinette has black hair with a tinge of blue hue that just curls around the mid of her neck, kind blue eyes and you can just tell she’s a warm soul. She waves, offering a hello.
She tells you she’s studying in fashion design, and as you tell her your bachelor, she coos. “Performing arts? Are you looking to book any roles in Paris? We have some opportunities here, theatre wise— oh, and advertisements, films…”
“I would love that, I just… need to see if I’m actress material, I guess. I know how difficult it is to get into the acting industry, and I’m taking some extra classes with a studio every week, so…”
”Hey, I know a guy that can hook you up with some opportunities,” Alya grins, nudging Marinette with a smug look. “Adrien Agreste,” she lets the name roll of her tongue, smooth and knowing.
Marinette rolls her eyes at Alya, but she turns to you with a hopeful smile. “Actually, that is true. He’s done plenty of things like that.”
As they say this, you wonder who this said guy is. It’s obvious that they know him well, which is good in your case. You pick up a french fry and dip it in ketchup.
“Who’s that?” You munch on the fry, voice muffled a little by it.
”Uhh… oh, he’s over there,” Alya points behind you. You turn and see where she’s pointing, to a group of people standing around. “The one in the navy pullover.”
The one in the navy pullover. You look for the clothing, and once found, you rake your eyes up to the face to match. You almost choke on your french fry, a strangled sound coming from your throat as Alya pats your back immediately. That’s insane because that’s the guy that you socked in the nose. Not to mention, you broke his clay piece.
Shit. Yeah, that’s him. What a small world. You turn around slowly back to the girls, shrinking in on yourself.
“What?” Both girls say in tune, confused at your expression.
“This morning I mixed up my classes and I bumped into him and I smashed his clay piece,” you clutch at your forehead, embarrassed. They both ease into a laugh. Your mind reels at just the thought of the humiliating situation. They attempt to reassure you, and you smile at their pure friendliness, but it drowns out a little as you take another peak at him.
To your utter shock, you catch his gaze. He seems surprised too because his expression sets into a stunned one. He quickly adverts his eyes, regaining his attention on a friend. You screw your lips up, a tinge of confusion bubbling in your chest.
Your first day wasn’t unbearable, but it wasn’t a piece of cake either. The first bite into your freshly baked croissant has you drooling. The buttery, flaky layers of the pastry melt in your mouth, releasing a rich, buttery flavor that dances on your tongue. It’s a nice breeze through Paris, seeping against your cheeks and you’re thankful for the spare time you have.
Suddenly the ground shakes, and the salts and peppers on your cafe table fall to the ground with an eery smash. An earthquake? You never knew they were prone in Paris. But then you hear a maniacal laugh echo throughout the street. The rustle of chairs moving and shoes squeaking fills your ears, and looking around you see that people are running into hiding.
What is going on?
A fast blur of red and black whips past, a powerful feminine voice yelling something out. You’re frozen in your chair, croissant now splattered along the pavement. You tilt to look at your treat now gone, a wave of grief rocking you.
Another suited figure runs by you. He wears a black suit, golden blond hair and shifting cat ears. He tosses a shout, “You should be inside! It’s too danger—rooooouuussss…” his head turns as he looks at you, sharp, emerald eyes giving you a one-down as his run slows to a stop, “hello.”
You look around quickly, seeing if he’s talking to anyone else but there’s no one else. Anywhere. “Hi,” you say, a tone of a question as you feel a shudder slip down your back at the way his eyes gobble you up. There’s a sinister swing of his hips as he walks toward you, a challenging stare that you can’t replicate.
“Ma chérie, you can’t be out here,” he tsks. With him this close, you can really look at him. His soft blond hair running wild at his neck, defined muscles cut against leather, the little dimple in his cheek from his wicked grin. What a being. “There’s a possibility you can get caught in the crossfire, and I would hate to see this pretty face get hurt.”
You nod gently, spacing out a little.
A truck gets thrown across the street in the background. His flirty demeanour flattens as he blinks, his whacky grin slipping. “Are you in shock?”
You shrug. You hear him mumble something under his breath, maybe along the lines of ‘shit’ and ‘poor thing’ but you can’t really tell from the loud crashing and banging noises going on around you. He taps his foot a little, cat ears flicking like he’s thinking.
“Chat Noir!” The same female voice from before snaps, and you watch the way his ears flatten, an exasperated groan escaping his lips.
”I’ll come back for you, ma chérie, just—“
Another loud shout, and he suddenly clutches you by the arm.
“Be a good girl and go into the cafe, come on,” his voice is tender and guiding, leading you through the cafe doors and practically carrying you there. “There we are, that’s it, puurfect.”
The way he mutters that last word against your ear makes you shiver, and all you can do is nod to him and his words. He sits you down on one of the couches, giving your arm one last graze before zooming out into the Parisian streets. You aren’t in shock. Are you? You’re just confused. As fuck.
You don’t know how long it’s been until there’s a flash of pinkish white that blinds you and you cover your face with an arm. Blinking away the shine, there’s an evident clearing of the sky, and herds of civilians creep out from their hidings. You decide to stay in the cafe for a while, grabbing for your phone as something comes up on your web, Ladyblog News.
Superheroes. Ladybug and Chat Noir. How have you never ever heard of this? You feel stupid, ridiculously stupid. Making your way out of the cafe and heading to your apartment, you duck into an alleyway shortcut.
”Why such a rush? I said I’d come back for you.”
The sudden noise makes you swish around, coming into contact with a leathered arm. Thick, leathered arm. The feline heroine has that arm leaned against the alleyway’s brick wall, looking you down like a predator. This guy is big on dramatic effect.
“I’ve just moved to Paris, and this… this is all very new to me,” you explain, wondering why it was difficult to keep eye contact.
“Oh, chèrie, I know…” he draws out, letting his eyes roll down your figure. “I might need to go home with you.”
His words send your mind in a frenzy, it makes your throat grow tingly. “Why?”
”For safety measures, of course. Why else?” He tilts his head at you as if it were obvious, the bell on his suit dinging lightly. That implication was prominent and you knew it, he was sly. “Your legs feel okay?”
”They feel fine,” you mutter, biting the inside of your cheek. You have to admit, they’re a bit jittery from before. You duck out from the alleyway and he follows.
“Mmm, I’m not sure I believe that,” he reaches behind himself to grab something, and when it comes into view it looks like a metal bar. He slides an arm around your waist. “You afraid of heights?”
You raise an eyebrow at his question, confusion once again filling you as he grabs your arm to wrap it around his neck. “…No.”
There’s a glint of a grin on his devilish lips. “And which one’s your building?”
You point in the direction to the blue apartment building in the distance. “That one,” you respond.
Without warning, you’re lifted up into the air. You screech, arms flying out and attaching to him magnetically. You can hear a low chuckle from him as your heart pounds against your ribcage. You don’t dare to peek out from his chest, eyes sealed shut as wind snips through the gaps of your hair.
“Which one?” Chat Noir asks, giving you a little nudge.
”Seventh floor, farthest left,” you rush, gripping him as if your life depended on it. There’s a thud and a commotion, and when he gently sets you down, it takes you a second to detach from him.
You immediately go to land a solid punch into his shoulder, a hiss like noise screeching out of him.
“Heeeey…” he pouts, to which you jab a finger at his chest.
“You should’ve warned me!” You scold harshly.
“Where’s the fun in that?” His tongue runs along his smirking bottom lip, a glimpse of his white canines catching your eye. You only groan frustratedly, folding your arms. “Your balcony has a beautiful view,” Chat Noir praises.
You sigh. “I know, you can see the Eiffel from here and I didn’t even pay extra—“
”I wasn’t talking about the landscape,” he mutters. You turn to see his sneaky green eyes locked on you, seemingly proud at his flirtatious quip. Your arms tense in your hold, unable to play it cool as you let a smile creep onto your face. You hear a quiet beeping sound and you catch the way his eyebrows stitch down as he looks at his ring finger.
“What’s wrong?” You utter, unfolding your arms.
“I have to leave,” Chat Noir grunts, annoyance twinged in his voice. He takes your hand in his, giving it a swift kiss in apology. “Selfishly, I beg of you to go into shock more.”
You actually giggle at his silly statement, going to take your hand back but his grip doesn’t falter. His slimmed, feline pupils dilate with your sound.
“What’s your name?” He asks gently, smoothing his gloved thumb over your knuckle. You say it without a thought, quiet enough that it could be mistaken for another gust of Paris’s wind. He leans back towards the bars of your balcony with a smirk, and with one last look that he steals, he jumps off your balcony.
