Skrunkle Survey Update:

Unfortunately due to glitches when the survey first went up and multiple SMPs within the survey adding or removing members within a few weeks of the survey being made, I feel like the data for the skrunkle survey became too quickly inaccurate for any adequate skrunkle measurements to be done.

Because of this I intend to run a Second Skrunkle Survey (Better, Skrunklier, Improved) that addresses the glitches and player changes from the first skrunkle survey so we can once and for all truly determine which MCYT is the skrunkliest.

However, this being said, I still intend to release some of the data of the original skrunkle survey, unpolished, with notes about how the data may be skewed or otherwise incorrect due to glitches/etc. And maybe some of the funnier open responses.

After that, my family’s repeated displacements continued due to the horror and horrible events, from the north to the center, then to Khan Yunis, then to Rafah and now to the centre of Gaza Strip .. In every area it penetrates, the Israeli occupation army prevents civil defense crews and medical teams from reaching the bodies of the martyrs, claiming that they are dangerous combat zones, and fires directly at the crews whenever they approach those areas.

These measures adopted by the Israeli occupation contradict heavenly laws and international and humanitarian laws, as this illegal policy has exposed the bodies of martyrs to being devoured by hungry stray dogs that found food in them, under the eyes of the Israeli occupation soldiers.

In numerous reports and testimonies by our teams when dealing with dozens of bodies of martyrs in cases of the Israeli army's withdrawal from some areas, these bodies were found to be "skeletons", and in other cases, these dogs were seen devouring other bodies, and this was in areas such as the Zeitoun neighborhood, Shuja'iyya, Tal al-Hawa, Jabalia, Tal al-Zaatar, Beit Hanoun, and in some eastern areas of Khan Yunis and Rafah.

International conventions and norms recognize the legal protection of the dead, and grant their families the right to know their fate by collecting information, data, and all documents related to the dead; Their relatives must be able to search and investigate to know their fate or request accurate and detailed information about their burial places, which is what was emphasized in Article (17) of the First Geneva Convention of 1949, as well as in the First Additional Protocol attached to these conventions issued in 1977. Article (32) emphasized these provisions and guaranteed the customary provisions of international humanitarian law special protection for the dead themselves, and respect for the sanctity of the bodies of the dead and not to touch, mutilate, tamper with or burn them.

The Geneva Conventions are clear, as they stipulate that the dead must be treated with dignity and humanity, and strictly prohibit acts that mutilate or degrade the bodies. The Rome Statute also classifies acts of assault on personal dignity, including humiliating and degrading treatment of the dead, as war crimes.

The Israeli occupation army also prevents civil defense crews from reaching the bodies of thousands of martyrs after they decomposed under the rubble of the homes it destroyed over their inhabitants, and deliberately destroyed all heavy digging equipment and devices to prevent access to them and bury them with dignity.

In light of these crimes committed by the Israeli occupation that degrade human dignity and humanity in the Gaza Strip, the high-level signatory states to the Fourth Geneva Convention must take urgent action and oblige the Israeli occupation, as the occupying power, to respect its obligations under international humanitarian law.

We call on the International Committee of the Red Cross to exert pressure on the Israeli occupation to implement the guide for dealing with corpses in times of war; to ensure the continuation of providing our humanitarian services.

We also call on the World Health Organization to pressure the Israeli occupation to follow standard and standard procedures for managing corpses and bodies; to ensure the dignity of the dead according to the standard guides issued by the United Nations organizations.

We stress the need to grant civil defense crews and medical relief teams the right to move freely in conflict areas in accordance with international protocols, and to deal immediately with the bodies of martyrs scattered in the streets of the Gaza Strip, some of whom have become martyrs after being injured.
