Hi.

I'm going to break my very strict format for once because I need your help. For the past 9 years, the irl human behind this blog has been involved in the effort to save a museum from incompetent and money hungry executives.

The museum is filled with precious objects, telling the story of the history of technology, and how it relates to art and society.

Many of these are objects are large, but delicate and have been in place for over 30 years.

No one within the museum's community trusts the CEO, who was appointed by a hostile former government, and prefers renting out museum spaces for business functions over educating the public.

In a few days, the museum is set to close down for renovations. Yet none of the staff or volunteers have been given any clear details about these plans. All we know is displays which have inspired generations will be torn down, likely never to be restored.

We have a petition asking the new government to step in and stop the closure:

Okay real shit, I know this isn’t my usual content, I don’t care. I need y’all, ESPECIALLY queer, disabled, BIPOC, and/or anyone born a female to genuinely lock in NOW.

Below is a petition that calls for a recount and revote for the 2024 U.S. election. Trump has been suspected of cheating and rigging the election, there have been ballot boxes BURNED, there are people out there who’s votes have NOT been counted.

It doesn’t matter if you’re not American. It doesn’t matter if you can’t vote for any reason. It doesn’t matter if I have the same beliefs as you when it comes to some online discourse or whatever. This is real life, and people’s lives are at stake. The LEAST you can do is share this.

I don’t know how well this petition will work, and I don’t know if my words will fall on deaf ears, but as someone who’s black, queer, born a woman, and more than likely neurodivergent, I feel like I need to have at least some hope and drive left in my body. I REFUSE to go down without a fight and I need all of y’all to do the same.

In a Variety interview, the Amazon MGM Studios head made a statement surrounding their "commitment to female programming". They recently held a trailblazer event in London, which celebrated the women of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

As you've guessed, My Lady Jane, a show that has critical claim, a 95% rotten tomatoes score, an endorsement from George R.R. Martin, and was top 10 throughout the summer on the platform in multiple countries, was omitted from this event. The show has an all female EP team and it is VERY clear when watching the show. The show emphasises consent and healthy communication, and does not resort to violence nor features egregious (often hard to watch) content.

Seeing a show be excluded from such an event is so disheartening.

If My Lady Jane was airing week to week it wouldn't have even finished before it was cancelled. No time was given for it to reach everyone, especially with no marketing (fan-driven only!), and being dropped in the middle of the Euros and right before the Olympics. People have lives!!!

There is a difference between a commitment to women in programming and simply having women in your show @ Prime. Celebrate your successes, and all of your trailblazers.

- A Petition For Accurate Data Reporting In Criminal Statistics -

About the Petition:

The goal of the "NOT OUR CRIMES" petition is to call attention to the reporting inaccuracy of criminal statistics as it pertains to biological women (XX) and biological men (XY). Previously, 'The Federal Bureau Of Investigation' reported that, "in 2023, 73.8 percent of all arrestees were males. Males accounted for 80.1 percent of persons arrested for violent crimes and for 62.6 percent of persons arrested for property crimes. Males comprised 88.7 percent of persons arrested for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter in 2023. Of the total number of persons arrested for drug abuse violations, 79.7 percent were males". Statistical inaccuracies related to gender identity can arise from a variety of sources, affecting the reliability and validity of data in this area. These inaccuracies can significantly impact research outcomes, policy decisions, and the understanding of gender identity issues. Statistical inaccuracies can also further isolate Females (XX) who are victimized based on their biological sex and not a gender identity.

The phrase "NOT OUR CRIMES" often appears in discussions about the historical and ongoing injustices that marginalized groups face. We argue that gender identity should NOT be considered in the reporting of violent and sexual crimes, and that this practice on a broader scale attempts to further ERASE the biological Female/Girls (XX) as victims of sex-based crimes. Globally. statitica data suggests that the majority of sexually violent crimes are committed by biological men. If sexually violent crimes that are committed by men are now labelled as crimes committed by "females", based on gender-selection, then this data is flawed and any societal laws set to protect the Female (XX), will further be eliminated.
