Tropical
If you have mercury sextile venus as a women your voice gives you an upper hand in your career , example Sofia Vergara being famous for her acting as well as her unique voice , lana del rey for her vocal range , Rihanna , Kim Kardashian memes lol .
If as a man you have mercury sextile venus it shows up as an upper hand in your thoughts and creativity , often times men with this placement are very soft spoken and understanding , in a dark way they could be manipulative as well . They mostly create a world of wonders for themselves and have distinct contributions towards art or way of life . Eg : Walt Disney , Ewan Mcgregor in big fish
Scorpio men give high school bad boy vibes , their upper body might be larger then their lower body , fellas don't skip leg day
Wanna start content creation or wanna be a singer , check your moon sign , a popstar might become popular based on the emphasis on either vocal range, lyricism, performance (credits to the instagram reel i watched lol i lost the link ) eg : scorpio women embody the performer persona most strongly , for example: Beyonce , Miley Cyrus , Lady gaga etc (vedic - Vishakha)
Cancer sun women mostly embody the trashy girl aesthetic.
Though widely considered meek , the cancer sun embodies a badass feministic yet kind vibe to them eg : Princess Diana , Selena Gomez , MIA, Frida Kahlo , often turn out to be revolutionaries and make changes in their own fields .
Pluto in the 5th is an amazing placement for fashion designers or in the field of marketing in the field , eg: Coco chanel , Miuccia Prada , Donatella Versace etc . 5th is the house of creativity and pluto being in it bring something out of the ordinary to make the person famous.
Pluto in 5th might also suffer from a turbulent childhood often with home relocation or absent parents
Mercury in 9th might be forced to grow up earlier , these people embody wisdom beyond years, often time resulting in void eg : Drew Barrymore, Mila Kunis lying about her age to get roles , Brooke shields .
Mercury in 9th is also a good placement for writers, eg : Sylvia plath , Agatha Christie, Emily Bronte .
Sidereal
Purva Bhadrapada women are very activist and stand for what they believe in , they make really good points in an debate👏
Punarvasu sun will give you fuller lips . Mostly downturned
Gemini men often have a wild chemistry with Sagittarius men 😭😂 the gemini man either admires the Sagittarius or hates them , like a frenemy vibe .
Libra men have the rake energy they flirt with everyone but they also make you feel like you're the only girl 😭 tf
Moon conjunct Saturn is said to give a bad relationship with mother but I have observed that if it is in the 12 th house it actually gives a good relationship, as there's more understanding .
As a jupiterian myself I won't advise to dye your hair blonde if you have prominent jupiter ,it makes me even more delusional. I would recommend brown for grounding and inviting creativity in your life .
Idk mars dom men are too good to me I like them so much, I've seen that in other cases as well so I will say jup dom 🤝 mars dom.
Rahu doms are underdogs yall , mostly people underestimate them until one day they put all their energy into something and prove themselves .
Uttara Ashadha girls act as they're stupid but they're observing so much , they might have really captivating eyes , puppy eyes if I say .
If two people have asc-moon synastry , they love each other and loathe each other because of their similarities , their is also a tendency of copying the others gestures or fashion .
Ketu doms push people away and then say they're lonely , it takes a lot to understand the inner rich world of ketu doms , which I think venus doms get to a degree.
Rohini people have a certain liking towards the metal of gold , and it will bring you auspiciousness if you buy them gold.
That's all for today hope yall enjoyed , I think you can read both observations interchangeably hehe I tried a new format hope yall like it . Dm me if you want to book a chart reading or an astrology reading 🫶
Thank you for reading

ASTROLOGY OBSERVATIONS/NOTES (18+)
by lup-ines
Tumblr media
1. Venus-Ascendant aspects are often known as THE beauty indicators in astrology, but in my opinion, I think Neptune-Ascendant deserves the title more. Neptune-ASC aspects are often found in the beauty icons of the world, and in comparison to Venus-ASC beauty, Neptune-ASC beauty gives more of an “other-worldly”, “she’s not from here” vibe (I will make a post about this).
2. Aquarius men and Virgo men are the same people, Aquarius men are just stranger.
3. When Mars transits over your 1st, 5th, or 8th, you tend to attract more sexual partners/attention.
4. Neptune in the 11th house people are may be blessed with friends that are artistic, loving, and caring but they often have a lot of friends that are secret haters.
5. Saturn in the 10th requires a lot of hard work before you actually get the flowers you deserve. Saturn in the 10th is the definition of the underdog. Often people with this placement find that they are constantly underestimated by those who work with them, but when they persevere wealth, fame, and admiration follow them. This can also mean get praise in the later part of your life (usually after your Saturn return).
For example, Queen Elizabeth II has Saturn in her 10th. At the time of her coronation, she was only 25 years old. This caused a lot of chatter due to many people thinking that she was too young and unfit to rule as a queen. As she got older, she slowly started to gain the respect and love from the people around her and had a VERY long career (Saturn in the 10th often indicates a stable/long career life depending on how it is aspected in your chart).
6. Fire signs moons/venuses (sometimes mars) have no concept of hiding their feelings for someone. When they like you, YOU WILL KNOW. If you’re confused, they probably don’t like you.
7. If you ever find yourself in bed with an aries mars or someone with mars in their 1st, pull their hair a little bit and watch what happens 😉
8. Leo placements have celebrity energy without even trying.
9. In 2024, Gemini risings and those with heavy gemini placements will see a boost in attention (good and bad depending on your chart) and popularity because of Jupiter moving into Gemini.

Since he’s probably Oswald’s closest Marvel equivalent, being a relatively-unpowered crime-boss who semi-frequently becomes Mayor… any thoughts on Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime?
Tumblr media
It's a comparison that's frequently made by Big Two fans and it's easy to see where it comes from, certainly they're the most iconic gangster/mafioso villains in their respective companies, but I don't think Kingpin is the closest Marvel has to Oswald because A: If anyone has a prior claim on Comic Book Gangster, it's definitely him, and B: They simply don't work in comparable or equivalent fashion. You can even boil down a key difference to the fact that The Penguin is inherently a small man trying to be bigger, and The Kingpin is the biggest man who ever lived. That's not a joke about their sizes, that's how they operate as characters and villains: Oswald is underestimated, ridiculed, diminished, and driven in large part because of it. He is the underdog, he slips under the radar, he slips through the cracks, he is a cockroach who lives to thumb his nose and pull the rug under the bigger bastards who think they can step on him. Wilson Fisk IS the bigger bastard who steps on people, he is the biggest bastard in the world.
He is an unsurmountable force of crime at the top of every possible advantage that a criminal can possibly weaponize, he is a titan of wealth and privilege as willing and capable of crushing your skull with his bare hands as he is of murdering your entire social circle with a phone call. He is "the ill intent", the biggest and strongest gangster of all time, and even if there are bigger and stronger bastards than him, they certainly aren't gangsters like him, they certainly aren't meeting him in his playing field of choice. There isn't really a DC equivalent to Wilson Fisk - there were certainly attempts to make Luthor and Cobblepot more like him, there's no shortage of imitators or knock-offs like Blockbuster and Tobias Whale, but the Kingpin is a league of it's own among comic book gangsters. Like Luthor and Joker and Doom, like the top dogs of the genre, he's become an Archetype in his own right.
Tumblr media
I talked about his Spiderverse version a little while back in regards to how much I liked him in that movie and what his design represented about him, Fisk as this black hole obelisk who drains the color of every room he's in and suffocates the world visually as well as metaphorically, far from the most interesting character in the movie but one that you can pin all these other more interesting things on, and I think that's also applicable to a lot of what he does as a Spider-Man villain. Now, he's a GREAT Spider-Man villain, easily one of the best, his arcs in Ultimate Spider-Man alone should be more than enough proof of concept for that, but even if he's not necessarily the most colorful or intimate or dangerous villain to hang a Spider-Man story on, he is maybe the most villain to hang a story on - the entirety of Marvel's street level vigilantes and organized crime exists under his shadow, and you can blow up his scope to the moon and back as a way to build up all the other characters you can squeeze more dramatic stuff out of. Whether it's in TAS, where he is so undisputably atop the pecking order that everyone else is bouncing off his fixed presence, or in the Insomniac games, where he stood tall as Peter's main villain for 7 years until the game begins with his downfall as a way to kick off all the strange new threats he'll be up against, Wilson Fisk is The Crime Man to rule all Crime Men, as entrenched and emblematic and secure in his kingdom of Manhattan as Dracula is to Transylvania and Dr.Doom is to Latveria.
Unlike the vast majority of Spider-Man villains who regularly enjoy redesigns and rewrites and do-overs, official and fan-made alike, Wilson Fisk is practically the same character in every iteration, there's very little need to seriously rethink or readjust who he is and how he does things because he is perfectly simple and perfectly timeless - we have now two Ultimate Spider-Man comic runs that have brought significant overhauls and revisions and new spins to established Spider-Man characters, and in both of them, Wilson Fisk is a major character, and he is completely and utterly unchanged from how he already works in the mainline universe. Even if you don't want to use Wilson Fisk, you can't neglect Wilson Fisk, you have to show how he fits into things, you have to show what he's up to or how he allows or makes way for what's happening without him, you have to give him his cut. This imutability of his is another thing I'd say is a major difference between him and Penguin - Oswald demands change, he demands growth and adaptability, he demands different surroundings more suited to him, he wants to grow and grow and make a nest that's suitable for him, he can't fit into existing systems so he breaks them to remake them as his own. That is simply not the case with Wilson Fisk.
Tumblr media
Unlike The Penguin, unlike some of the other great comic book supervillains, Fisk has no intention whatsoever to change anything about how the world works - as far as he's concerned, it worked just fine up until these costumed irritants arrived, and even they just became another part of his conglomerate in time. Fisk really doesn't have or need any kind of big philosophy to justify himself, rather, he takes it as fact that he's operating under the way the world works and under a merit he's achieved by being the man he is. He is content within society's morality, because he is at the top of society and therefore that morality will always bow to him. The legions of costumed enemies orbiting his life are merely dissidents going against the order of things that places him at the top, tools to be used and bugs to be squashed and little more.
And this is true even of those whose power and scope stands above his own - they are not players in his game, and if they are, they are distractions, diversions, things that he can deal with. When he loses to billionaires like the Stromms in Zdarsky's run, when he has to playy ball with bigger villains, when he is ousted in a power play, it is humiliating, and he doesn't deal well with humiliations - but he can take humiliations, he knows he can give back, he can ultimately rebuild his pride as he rebuilds his empire time and time again. Spider-Man is annoying and powerful and infantile and annoying and an enemy and really really annoying, but he is no existential threat. He is not terribly concerned about Spider-Man, which is part of what makes him such a fun Spider-Man villain, that he never sees it coming when Spidey gets serious and just brings him down (peak example of this being Back in Black), that he is this larger-than-life bully/shitty grown-up who actually can and must be defeated. And if a lot of what makes him a fun and great Spider-Man villain is contingent in the ways that he doesn't lose sleep over Spider-Man, part of what makes him a stronger Daredevil villain is the precise opposite: he desperately wishes he could be this dismissive towards Daredevil, who is for all intents and purposes weaker than Spider-Man. It's his relationship with Daredevil that brings out the best of him as a villain and the worst of him as a person alike.
Tumblr media
Against Spider-Man, the Kingpin is a very strong enemy, the figurehead of the kind of crime that is Spidey's daily routine, a powerful and oppressive force ruling over NYC who is nevertheless a step down from the Green Goblin or Dr Octopus or the Symbiotes and all those other genetic nightmares and obsessed masterminds that plague his life. No matter how clever or vile his schemes are, Spider-Man can still beat them, and Spider-Man can ultimately always triumph over him in a fight, and Fisk can always rebuild because Fisk builds empires as easily as most people breathe, and things rarely if ever get personal between him and Peter. Against Daredevil? There IS no bigger threat than Kingpin (well, The Hand I guess, but they're boring as shit), Kingpin is the mountain that Matt always crashes against in due time, and it is always personal. The Kingpin is his biggest and strongest enemy, able to run mental laps around Matt and someone that Matt cannot in fact beat in a fight, their battles are drawn out miserable slugfests where Fisk usually thrashes him around like a ragdoll with few conclusive victories and whatever victory Matt has is hard-won and usually via cheap shot.
Matt has an infinitely harder time dealing with Fisk than Spider-Man does, which is part of why it is Kingpin's appearences in Daredevil comics that made him comic book villain royalty: Matt has no real advantage against him other than his senses. He has no intellectual advantage, no physical advantage, and he can't even claim to be more determined or driven, Fisk is fueled by an equally horrendously powerful will and protectiveness towards what belongs to him, This City. There is nobody and nothing in the world that Matt hates more than Fisk, and there is nobody and nothing in the world that Fisk hates more than Matt. They've taken turns shattering each other to the point that those slugfests are the least of each other's offenses against each other.
Tumblr media
Even besides the sheer accumulated history they have against each other, it's in the way they unforgivably violate each other's vision of the world. If the Kingpin was the invincible man of vision who loves the city and must steer it even if smaller people disagree with him, if he was truly so secure and untouchable at the top of the world, he wouldn't be having such a colossal hard time dealing with this one guy and he wouldn't be reduced to a base animal thug every time he shows up, let alone lose and be humiliated. If Wilson Fisk was as correct as he needs to be, if the strength of his love for Vanessa/the city/what belongs to him was as powerful as he wants it to be, Daredevil would never get the upperhand on him.
And if Daredevil is a man who dedicates himself 100% all the time to protecting the city and it's people, if Daredevil commits unlawful deeds to preserve human life and fight for justice, if Daredevil struggles with the innate contradictions and hypocrisies and nature of what he is and does but can nevertheless push past them all to do the right thing for others, every second the Kingpin lives, every second Fisk lives because he lets him, chips away at the assurance that he's doing the right thing, that he isn't just wasting time. If Daredevil's vision of the city was correct, if Daredevil was right about his beliefs and worldview, there wouldn't be a Wilson Fisk out there getting away with the things he does. They hate each other for that same fundamental reason: If the world was ruled by the principles I need it to be, in order for me to be who I am and do what I do, you wouldn't exist, and you wouldn't be in my way again and again.
Tumblr media
As a Spider-Man villain, he is one of the greats, a core component of his world, a highly versatile and even necessary figure to have and an excellent villain to dictate proceedings. As a Marvel Universe villain, he is an indispensable facet of any criminal element, the Mt.Fuji that the streets of Marvel rest upon, someone who can be added to any storyline and be grafted into many characters to oppose or assist them, or even create and kill them. As a Daredevil villain, he is undeniable as one of the top supervillains, bordering on main character a lot of the time. An implacable unstoppable force of nature as well as a villain of history and brutality and drama and a character who brings intrigue and tragedy and even complexity, even as it all ultimately comes down to that raw hatred between them, the splinter in each other's eye, an infection in their world that just keeps taking and taking and taking without stopping.
It is an unforgivable offense to Wilson Fisk that there is a man out there so beneath him that he cannot break, cannot bend, cannot stop, and who makes such a mockery of everything he's built himself to be by existing, just as it is unforgivably offensive to Matt Murdock that there is a man out there named Wilson Fisk who thinks he has the right to be who he is, and do what he does. To be a man who not only cannot care about human life in any capacity other than what he thinks belongs to him, but whose continued existence attests to a world that validates him, that doesn't care about those lives either, where there is no accountability and no justice and no salvation that cannot be bought and sold. Fisk isn't just an embodiment of cruel, bottomless indifference, he stands for a world that agrees with him.
It would take too much work to defeat him, he just walks unscathed if you do, and even if you defeat him there will just be someone else to step in temporarily. And so it is with a heavy heart that the people of New York accept that the blood of countless runs through the streets, so long as the big man gets to give them their cookie at the end of the day for their hard work and agreeability. He is too big, too clever, too strong, and too invincible - and that's why Peter needs to stop him, that'd why Matt can never stop trying, that's why they can never let him be, otherwise Marvel New York would just be regular New York.
They'd have to accept a world where Wilson Fisk gets away with everything, and who could live with that?

From Avra Helvaçi to Sick of Singing Covers, greetings! I have said it before and I will say it again! Is it better to be loved or feared? NEITHER, it is better to be pitied! Because then everyone underestimates you and it’s much easier to impress them! All things are within your grasp if you sacrifice every ounce of personal dignity. In your case, I would recommend spilling a drink on your crotch so it looks like you wet yourself, or possibly smearing mustard all over your face, or tripping over your own feet right as you get on stage. This way, their expectations for you will be lowered to the ground, and even a half-assed job will seem like a triumphant, miraculous comeback from a plucky underdog. You will seem so brave and cool and approachable if you do this. They will applaud wildly. They will think about kissing you in the moonlight, maybe. The other great thing I have discovered is that most people are too polite to boo. Like, you have to be REALLY REALLY bad to get vegetables thrown at you, or for the bouncer to come and escort you outside. You can get away with being so, so, so mediocre as long as you keep track of how much savings you’ve got in the People Have To Put Up With Me credit union. You can go out there and be truly mediocre and *they just have to let you do that* – isn’t that amazing? I think it’s amazing. They’re basically trapped in here with you until you let them go or the bouncer drags you off stage. It’s a hostage situation. So they should be scared of you, really, when you think about it. Break a leg! Love and kissies, Avra ~~~ (Are you a fan of my books? Do you have a burning question and you've always wanted to ask a fictional character for advice? Send in your question via the "Dear Blorbo" Advice Column submission form! :) All questions welcome.)

Two takeaways right now that I really cannot stress enough: 1) We cannot afford to keep spouting the "The American public is fucking stupid" and "Republicans are dumb and uneducated" rhetoric. I have already seen a new resurgence in the past 24 hours. Yes, it's true: One in five Americans are functionally illiterate. Many of them live in states like New Mexico and Mississippi, below the poverty line, with underfunded educational institutions, and very little access to resources to help them. A staggering amount of USAmericans read below a sixth grade level. This is not a moral failing. This is not their fault. This is a societal failing, an infrastructure failing. We've been failing the rust belt for decades and it's only getting worse. And it does not help our cause if we continue to turn up our noses and say they're all stupid cousin-kissing hillbillies who deserve what they're getting. That only helps Trump. That is how we got here. The division only helps the people in power to keep up the grift. As long as we continue to disparage and underestimate working people from the Midwest and the American South, we will continue to lose. They are tired of being condescended to, and that is why they like Trump. He at least pretends (badly, but he at least pretends) that he cares about their interests.
Remember this bit of propaganda?
Tumblr media
All the way back from 1754?
We have to stop fighting each other. We cannot afford to continue saying 'Trumpers are stupid and hateful and uneducated' and continue this us-against-them mentality. It is JUST as bad as my Midwestern parents who say that Democrats are evil satanic child-killing communists. I grew up steeped in that environment. I fully believed it. Many people are just as scared as you are. They are working with the information they have. They believe they are doing the right thing, just as you do. They are watching their communities literally disintegrate and the only person that promises to bring them jobs is Donald Fucking Trump. And he is employing every propaganda tactic in the book to grift them. A big part of the lies the Republican party loves to spout is that they're persecuted and they're underdogs -- I grew up in this environment. It stems from an Evangelical worldview that to be righteous is to be persecuted. Disparaging these people, insulting them, condescending them, only feeds this narrative. The only way I got out of this mentality was by having access to community college, meeting kind people outside my bubble who were willing to have a conversation with me, and finally getting education that wasn't steeped in evangelical propaganda.
I invite you all to go and watch Megan Phelps-Roper's TEDtalk (or read her book, it's excellent) about how she left her family's cult. The only thing that broke through that fog of 'We are persecuted and therefore righteous' was when people stopped throwing cups of hot liquid and piss at her (when she was a child!), and started being kind and empathetic. We all can stand to learn a lot from stories like hers. The second that evil god-hating people started being kind to her was the second she began to question everything she'd been taught.
Yes, it's very easy to look at these people spewing hateful rhetoric and label them as evil. But they're not. The people exploiting all of us are evil. The people exploiting fear and division are evil. We need to call for accountability with news outlets, to fund grass-roots efforts to give adults with educational gaps access to help. Many of them simply could not continue going to school because their families were impoverished and they had to work so they could fucking eat. Many of them have undiagnosed disabilities because they do not have insurance to even go to a doctor. To be ignorant is not a moral failing. Willful ignorance? Absolutely. But ignorance, no. The only thing we can do now is be kind, invite people into discussion, and remember that the only enemy is the oppressor in power who views everybody as pawns and dollar signs. We are all the same to them.
2) Please do not fall into the trap of thinking this means that your vote does not count. Voting is more important than ever. You need to vote in your local elections. You need to. The Senate and the House are the lawmakers and the people in charge of declaring war. They have term limits. They are not untouchable. They are the only people now who are capable of checking Trump. And your local mayors, councils, etc are the people who are going to make the real difference between public healthcare, good education, censorship, civil rights, housing, etc. States have an immense amount of freedom to operate. That is how I have access to incredible free healthcare in mine. That is how we have one of the best public transit systems in the country. That is how we placed penalties on industries and got rid of smog and heavy pollution in the 70s. That is how we have gay bars and drag brunches and well-funded libraries. That is all local-government stuff. If you want your communities to change, you HAVE to vote locally. Please, please, please do not give up and think your vote doesn't matter. It does. It matters immensely.

Mercurials healing rise up!
im an ashlesha asc whose historically struggled with receiving criticism but then during the pandemic i had the most profound spiritual awakening and was able to get better abt it. so with that being said i’d like to stay being unable to receive criticism is a HUGE theme for us ashlesha like it’s almost ridiculous how prevalent it is amongst us omg. someone acc sent in an ask as of why that is - we typically grow up in harsh environments that force us to become highly defensive to perverse ourselves so that’s where we pick up our ‘poisonous ways’.
so the anecdote i want to share is that the first i saw of this on a mass level was on vedic twitter YEARS back. there was massive fighting in the community as ashlesha natives felt targeted after quite frankly having the spotlight on the nak for a while and receiving all sorts of praise and content in the community. like i saw so many twt friendships breakdowns bc of how defensive and sharp ashlesha got on the tl. which felt ridiculous to many in the community at the time (so much so it’s become a kind of meme with us lol) bc every nak eventually got targeted for criticism for a period of time but none of the other naks ever reacted the way ashlesha did (punarvasu i’d say was maybe the closest in terms of extreme defensiveness but still not comparable to ashlesha). in fact i had a fav user at the time and she had 2 out of 3 big 3 placements in ashlesha and i was taken aback abt how personally hurt she got by the criticism; the way she fought with everyone on the tl in the aftermath was concerningly vicious to me and it was to the point that it seemed like self-destructive behavior. and it hurt to see her fall from grace like that.
i feel like that’s another aspect of ashlesha is actually that tendency of getting self destructive in our attempts to perverse ourselves if we feel that the circumstances have gotten really dire for us/attacked. i feel like the one thing ashlesha so desperately seeks is security/feeling of safety and we often find ourselves going great and questionable lengths just to feel like we’re finally safe.
so no im not really mad at the critic. its an observation that keeps cropping up simply. i can’t blame you for what is a pattern. in a way i see this theme as the path for ashlesha. our journey to eventual healing and finally lowering our guns. not everyone is out to hurt us/tear us down lol.
i briefly mentioned this in one of my asks but tysm for letting me know that this is a universal experience 😓the way you explained it, makes a lot of sense.
i wish peace and healing for everybody<33the people who have been abused and those who abuse others. let everybody heal more, hurt less and hurt others less.

I am always on the lookout for your fics and I gotta say you do not disappoint!!
Now to the most important question of all: do you think our Hoshina is packing down there? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
well jesus christ, anon, i'm supposed to be sad and mopey tonight then i got this ask and now a little bit of the depression has been washed away. anywho...
i dont wanna buy into the stereotype of japanese men having small peepees, but i won't be ashamed to admit that my headcanon for hoshina is that he's average in terms of dick size.
and this is not me belittling him or anything. in almost all regards, hoshina is seen to be the unpredictable type, an underdog - remember that scene where kafka was shocked that hoshina was apparently too quick, too skilled in the kaiju-killing department? hell, even i was surprised when i saw that specific scene (yes, the black compression shirt scene), because omg where the fuck was hoshina hiding all those abs??? i would like to believe that's the same thing in terms of his size and even skills in bed.
hoshina lets people underestimate him and he doesn't mind. so what if he looks average? he makes up for it in his stroke game lmao, and don't get me started on the fact that his hands are literally his bread and butter as a swordsman - he knows how to use his hands and fingers. i have also endlessly talked about how the man says the dirtiest things during the deed, and have you heard him talk kaiju no. 10 down??? legends say that kaiju no. 10 wants hoshina's body because the vice-captain is so hot. add his athletic physique to the long list of his attributes, so i'm pretty sure he's also got the stamina and endurance for multiple rounds.
tl;dr: hoshina soshiro doesn't have an 8-inch dick but he doesn't need one to make you walk funny the next day.

Kaz and being the King of the Barrel
He is, technically, the king. And I have referred to him as king. But I don't think Kaz would see himself as king.
It's similar to the "Kaz Brekker didn't need a reason thing" because Kaz always has a reason, but the general population of the Barrel see it otherwise. It's the same here: He is definitely called the king but does Kaz see himself as king?
Imo, I think he'd let them call him that, but he doesn’t personally see himself that way. He's the self proclaimed bastard. The illegitimate son. There is a large thematic motif of the monarchy (Pekka: the king of the barrel, the apex predator lion) being taken down by the "Barrel scum", by the personification of the Barrel which is at the bottom of society (Dirtyhands, the Bastard of the Barrel, the Dregs)
To quote the show: "The Barrel doesn't belong to kings. It belongs to bastards." Of course, Kaz is saying that at a time where he isn't king but this is still true! The Barrel doesn't belong to the rich who lord over everyone because they have a "divine right". It belongs to the cunning, the calculating, the ruthless underdogs who fought for what they have.
Imo he let's them call him it for two reasons:
It makes him sound powerful
He usurped Pekka
Both these things are true, and both these things are important. They make Kaz sound untouchable and dangerous. But Kaz still sees himself as the Bastard. He came out on top but he had to work for it! He wasn't just handed a crown, he fought his way up. He proved himself as being the best in the Barrel.
Kings are undeniably the most powerful, which is why Pekka used the title. But Kaz is always being underestimated, whether it's because of his age or the limp, Kaz doesn't garner the respect of a king. Not because of the title anyway. People literally kneel before him because of the fact that he's monstrous and cruel. He clawed his way up, fought for every scrap of respect. The title may give Kaz a concrete proof of power, but even without it everyone knew who was boss.

Two of the reasons that World Trigger is one of my favorite anime’s are that the fights are tactical and the main character has some of the best character growth ever. These things go hand in hand, but I’ll start with the fights.
Outside of enemies from other worlds, all the characters have access to the same weapons, defense options, and optional assist abilities. There are three different class types: attackers, snipers, and shooters/gunners (the main difference is that gunners have firearms that fire the different ammo types and shooters just use their hands). They are limited only by their Trion amount, the energy that lets do just about everything in the series, and their own personal choices. Most of the characters are in teams of 3-4 people, with an additional person who is basically ‘the guy in the chair’(practically all the people who are in this role are female, but I digress).
This allows for some very creative fights when combined with the different stages(where the time of day and the weather can be altered). You’re a team of more long and mid range fighters vs two teams of close range fighters (the mock battles have 3-4 teams fighting each other, with any and all team ups being temporary. The lowest ranked team gets to pick the stage and any other elements)? Pick a stage with wide open spaces. More close range than far? Your opponents will have a hard time fighting you in narrow alleyways and indoor spaces.
These variables make the fights so good because you get to see how each team uses what they have to make the best of their surroundings and get the upper hand on their opponents. Which brings me to the main character.
Osamu Mikumo is an underdog in just about every sense of the word. But that’s what makes him so special. Osamu has very little Trion, which lowers his attacking abilities by a significant margin when compared to his contemporaries. As such, his main advantage is that he has to strategize more than others to be a better team player for his team, and it’s that ability that makes some people wary of him and others get taken out because they underestimated him. Osamu is a perfect example of ‘It’s not what you have, but how you use it that matters.’ He uses his power in ways that others wouldn’t think of or do think of but don’t do because they don’t need to do that. He and Luffy are similar in that they both believe that it doesn’t matter what they can’t do, because what they can do, they better than anyone believes they can.

Bad Writing Can Make A Underprivileged Character Unintentionally Unlikable Or Likable
Tumblr media
Sequel to my other earlier post.
Like I said in my earlier post, there can be a way to make a privileged character sympathetic or unsympathetic. The same can be said for characters that are underprivileged as well. This can be shown with Velma from 2023's Velma and Striker from Helluva Boss. With Velma she is race and sexuality swapped into a bisexual Indian girl who we are supposed to root for because of her minority status. On the other hand, Striker we are supposed to hate because of supposedly being an imp supremacist who misjudges royals.
Like the thing with Fred and Stolas, we get the opposite reaction because Velma goes out of her way to be a narcissist, sociopathic asshole who uses and hurts other people who gets in her way. Also despite trying to set herself up as this righteous social justice warrior she doesn't practice what she preaches and is as sexist and racist as the people she crusades against. Not to mention she treats her family and friends like total garbage while wanting to have all attention on her. This is in contrast with Striker who although a villain is made out to be a so-called supramcist because he hates the nobles of hell for belittling and taking advantage of the lower classes like imps. And again we are supposed to see him as a extremist, but in a series that is made of all sorts of killers and the fact that many nobles are shown to be crappy people have come to be sympathetic to him. He might try to kill Stolas because it's because of how terribly written he is we side with Striker due to how he has abused his privilege and is an example of that system despite the narrative saying otherwise.
Despite showing herself to get so much wrong, Velma is often still treated as if she is smart and capable while also trying hard to make it work in a bigoted world. However, a lot of stuff contradicts that with Velma always shown to be a lazy moocher who leeches off other people work and claim it as her own. She only claims to say she has to work for everything so she can make herself look like the underdog when in reality she doesn't put effort into anything. She also claims to be smart in reality her ego gets the better of her and prevents her from seeing errors. Meanwhile, the narrative tries to tell us Striker is only doing it out for selfish reasons and wanting to blame all nobles even so-called innocent ones for his tragedies. The problem is Stolas ain't innocent and he has the right to bite the bullet in Striker's bath. Also again we are told by Vivziepop he does have a tragic story but never shown in order to keep Stolas more sympathetic. They try to force him into being seen as toxic by giving him traits like seeming like he's LGBTphobic or has machismo so we shouldn't root for him but all of that comes out as forced instead of natural. Also his distaste for sexual comments comes off as contra dicing when he didn't mind doing that talk with Blitzo and again the penis statue of himself. He also mentions hurting Octavia even though that doesn't make sense since he works for Stella and she should be off the table since Stella wouldn't want her daughter involved but again it's more on trying to make him unlikable rather than logically make sense. Again a case of trying too hard to make unlikable it makes no sense.
And again how the hypocrisy is shown with both characters is that with Velma the writers are so unselfaware how hypocritical and nasty she is they often underestimate how much she doesn't practice what she preaches. As said before, she says she fights against bigotry but shows herself to be a white man basher and is sadistic in enjoying their pain even when they don't deserve it. She even can be shown to be racist against other minorities if she's really being intensively obnoxious. And when it comes to sexism girl just straight up loves slut shaming other girls. Also when it comes to rich people she might say he hates them but when she gets a taste of that privileges she changes her tune and it shows it's more about envy than actual injustice because she really is thinking how about she thinks the world is unfair for her and not anyone else's needs. It's the thing they try to do the same with Striker but you really can side with him because of the hierarchy that is often ignored but sometimes is present in the series. While in theory don't judge all rich people can be a good thing, but with this series it's in hell where bad structures are enforced and that the hell nobles are shown to be shitty towards the lower class. Striker is thus is depicted by a hypocrite by working for Stella but it doesn't work because you get more of an enemy of my enemy situation rather than him actually would act like the nobles if he was offered to be one.
So just like with how one series has a unintentionally sympathetic rich characters and the other has an unintentionally unsympathetic ones, the former has a unintentionally unsympathetic underprivileged character while the other is a unintentionally sympathetic one. It reflects the biases of the creators and also how they think they are viewing the character's blight. Ones like Velma come off as assholes who pretend to be the victim of a cruel world when in reality they want to blame everyone for their own mistakes. Meanwhile, Striker is bashed in series for daring to think that imps have it hard and that nobles shouldn't be unfairly judged when the series in general shows how shitty the higher ups are. Bad writing can make us either think underprivileged characters are sympathetic or unsympathetic.

And i have always wondered why in the world anyone would undermine jimin's musical success because on sns followers or engagements he might not rank #1 but he's ranking #1 or #2 every single time BTS had released albums and members had their solo songs in it as b-side. Him and jungkook has always been #1 or #2 like they switch those numbers yet people underestimated his success. And how do people see him and think he'd not want to release solo music? I think years ago he was the first member who wanted to do solo songs or like Frist member to mention those things. He's always wanted these things but as you said people by that i mean armys/ jkkrs and other jm biased too misunderstood his intentions and i wonder why. He lives for that stage.
Hi anon,
I agree but I think part of the reason why some people didn’t really see his potential (atleast compared to Tae and Jk) was because this entire fandom had always seen him as the third most popular member and least popular of the maknae line. You need to understand that before the solo era, many unfortunately hadn’t had the opportunity to see how good the members would perform with solo songs and even though we know they had already performed solo songs within the group and Jimin and Jungkook’s always did much better than everyone else’s this whole fandom was still caught up on who gets the most views on fancams, who has the most instagram followers and stuff like that. That was how they measure success and we know that Jimin doesn’t get the most views on fancams and doesn’t have the most followers on instagram and his posts don’t get the most likes so naturally they assumed he only came after Tae and Jk in EVERYTHING including their solo success. They didn’t realize that the boys excel in different aspects.
Another thing is that, Jimin has always spoken so much about how much he loves being in the group and rarely really spoke or looked interested in solo ventures, of course this doesn’t mean he wasn’t interested because we know that even while he was working hard on his solo albums he said nothing about it which led people to believe that he was lazying about and not doing anything like the other members who were doing this or that or flying here and there but we see that he wasn’t lazying about. I think all these things contributed to this entire fandom underestimating him as an artist.
His immerse success in the solo era came as a blow to so many because they could never imagine. When Jimin got a number one on Billboard Hot 100, and then Jk got it too, this entire fandom was 100% positive that Tae would get one too. Why? Because to them, he was always the most popular member because of followers, views and likes and to them, that equaled success in music so that is why they were beyond shocked when he didn’t and that is why some people are still so bitter at Jimin because he was always viewed as the underdog. Everyone knew he would be successful but very few people thought he would be more successful that who they believed was the most popular member and that is why even till this day, they try so hard to discredit his success because they still cannot believe their eyes and ears.
Jimin once said “SILENCE IS GOLD. DON’T WASTE TIME” and he did just that. He let people think what they wanted to think of him. He let people say he was lazy, not ambitious, unmotivated, depressed and all the stuff they said about him when he was working on his albums and only came out when he was ready to show results.
He took “never let people know your next moves” too seriously. lol.

Autopsy of a gay lie: the Wikipedia trail
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”
― Abraham Lincoln
For starters, sorry for the length and numerous screencaps. It is an investigation, after all and these are sorely needed.
Never underestimate the conjugated power of Internet, a Sunday afternoon and the lightbulb moment that can happen while baking something, because you know, people have also to reward themselves at some point.
I might have fucked up my foolproof Lemon Squares recipe, but I regret nothing. It took me three hours I could have gratefully used to finish that spirits post, but this is too damn good not to share.
Remember Meow Kabob's cross my heart and hope to die pinky swear she found confirmation of Data Lounge's allegations on Wikipedia, out of all places? How she regularly unburies that infamous screenshot listing S under the Wiki "Gay Actors" category? How she told us, filthy and uneducated shipper mob, over and over again, that story about STARZ people scouring the Internet far and wide and scrubbing any gay reference related to S, as soon or shortly after he was cast as JAMMF?
I can confidently prove now Lincoln's perennial truths I quoted above apply to this situation.
I was just pouring my lemon juice, eggs, flour and sugar mix over the hot and nutty shortbread when I stopped in my tracks: 'wait a second, isn't Wikipedia an open source project? BUT OF COURSE IT IS, SILLY COW - yes, I very often talk to myself like that. RUN. NOW. I HAVE TO KNOW.'
Sure enough, like death and taxes, the full edit list of S's Wikipedia page was there for everyone to see:
Tumblr media
Even better, since Internet is forever, we have full access to all these edits and can take screenshots.
This is how Sam's Wikipedia odissey started, on November 11th 2007, when he was the complete underdog:
Tumblr media
A ' strapping lad with natural dark blonde hair and 6'2'' tall', ideal for the role of Alexander the Great - pious silence and RIP. I grinned, because it sounds well, nave? It also sounds gay, perhaps? What else does it prove, other than the gay crowd has an acute interest for novelty and a wandering eye?
Nothing. Not even remotely related to S.
Also, note the two classification categories: British TV actor stubs/ British actor stubs. Mark them, they stayed still and alone for a looooong time.
Up until 2009, in fact, when the wikientry was no longer considered a stub and even got several category additions:
Tumblr media
Then again, some movin' on up, on that semi-dormant page, in 2013. Totes normal:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By early 2014, even more interest in S commands an expanded webpage and a longer, more detailed, category listing:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's quickly peruse 2015...
Tumblr media
2016...
Tumblr media
The incorrect Irish descent category stayed there for about ten days, until removed by another user. This is how it is done and it is then added to the list:
Tumblr media
2017, 2018, 2019, early 2020, no change in the categories, but all hell broke lose content-wise. From Cirdan, the 'estranged brother' acting in a very gay connotated theatre production I have never heard about, in London, September 2016...
Tumblr media
...... to a woman named Tiffany Trach who used to dream the impossible dream, in October 2016 (and she was not the only one, far from it)...
Tumblr media
...to some halfwit being rightfully slapped for adding brainless Flukenzie Floozy content in March 2017:
Tumblr media
By that time, I was getting supremely bored clicking on links and wanted to pack the tent and throw my lemon squares in the trash bin. But, lo and behold, what do I see on January 26th 2020:
Tumblr media
With the tag possible vandalism:
Tumblr media
Whodunnit?
A very brave person, hiding under a string of random numbers...
Tumblr media
... and one single contribution EVER to the Wikipedia juggernaut. This is what I would call a targeted attack:
Tumblr media
It stayed like that, unmolested, for five days only, until the user Spiderpig662 decided enough is enough and did something about it...
Tumblr media
....categories being then restored to the previous wording:
Tumblr media
The last vicious gay reference on Wikipedia dates back to May 28th 2020 (Ha-wa-wee, anyone?), was labeled as 'hate speech' & promptly removed:
Tumblr media
Where wuffter is, in British Cockney slang:
Tumblr media
Same modus operandi, this time an IP address, pinging in (you simply can't make this shit up, can you?)...
Tumblr media
County Durham, FYI.
I then asked myself when exactly did Meow Kabob appear on Tumblr?
Tumblr media
Even more exactly, on...
Tumblr media
That is, to say the least, a troubling coincidence.
I do not imply anything, I have no wish to attack anyone. All I am saying, is that particular argument, which this user is shouting anytime she is prompted to, had a very short online lifespan. How could an American woman, who appeared in this fandom shortly afterwards, have known about changes operated for five days only, by an unknown user, on the open source webpage of a B-listed British actor?
I have only one question, Your Honor:
WHY?
I rest my case.
[Edit]: To make it maybe more clear, I now know where the person adding that category lives, thanks to Wikipedia's own tracking system:
Tumblr media
No surprises here:
Tumblr media
Augusta. Georgia. USA.
Now, yes. Now I rest my case.

So because Sam has nice things... she can't win the sekai taikai?! That's the dumbest shit l've heard from tory fans. Sam deserves to win because she's a great fighter and has been beat down and underestimated. She lost out on the all valley because of Silver, the sekai taikai will help her know she can win on her own accord and allow her closure. Sam had to learn that she wouldn’t always get what she wanted, and she did, multiple times. She also had to realise how life isn’t always black and white. I think her arc would be complete if she wins — even though the leaks might not back that but honestly she deserves a win. I’m tired of fans thinking she’s not great when she is. She just isn’t the underdog and that triggers a lot of people for some reason.

You know. Maybe the true meaning of gerrymandering is to never underestimate the underdog, because with enough passion for a cause people can do wonderful things.
Sike! Doomshroom still Lost! Ha HA! Vriska lives to die next round. That's what it's all about. Me winning and everyone else losing, that's the real meaning of gerrymandering.
