percy and annabeth in my species au!

this is an au where all the demigods are species that i created for my own universe!

annabeth is an amarin, and perch is a nerosa!

amarins- very tall beings, only get taller as they get older, have 4 forearms that are connected at the elbow, are basically immortal unless killed usikg syrylthian metals are on their native planet, endwarp. they dont feel temperature and have magic (idk what annabeths power would be tho-)

nerosa- sea creatures whose hair is made out of water and changes color to the nearest and largest body of water, they are extremely short and most dont go over 5ft. theyre also skinnier and stronger than humans. their life force is also connected to the water, and if theyre too far away them they will pass out and can die if they dont get near it soon enough (percy being a nerosa and the child of poseidon makes this 10x as much, and so he cant be 50+ miles away from the ocean without passing out. someone carries him when this happens when annabeth isnt there)

the time this drawing takes place is during ttc, where they are both 14

percy also doesnt get claimed by poseidon (for safety reasons and bc i love that trope) amd instead is sent on the quest because hes the newest nerosa since zeus doesnt like them, and also because other gods, some non-water gods included, also have nerosa children at times

Is Starscream now a part of the Malto Family? If so how did the rest of the family react? I think Hashtag is happy and will probably call Starscream "Uncle Star" or something

oh gosh i was joking when i mentioned being an ask blog. my curse continues, so i must answer

Pretty much all i draw/write of ES starscream is part of my "fast track to redemption" au! (title not final) Most easily seen in the fics I've written.

Rather than ignore season 2 entirely, I like the fandom notion that the quintessons perhaps attempted to get Starscream to do their dirty work by taking control of the titan AND killing all the other bots. Since. Well Starscream really needed a Starscream to tell him his plan was absolute dogshit. His plan benefits the Quintessons more than it does the Decepticons.

And i personally believe that ES Starscream would never kill a child, let alone two.

Starting with just a little bit of influence to kickstart things, to more and more interference with all of his systems in order to get him to do what is required, only for him to fail and be made useless to the quints. He snaps out of a haze where he's barely in control of his own body and can barely even comprehend what's happening, dropped back into consciousness hard enough to shatter his spinal strut.

Anyway I made it so that gave him brain damage.

Once everything is over and they do a quick little scan of his body for damage or weapons, discoveries are made.

To extra super fast track my favorite setting of "everyone is kinda friends and casually near each other", i needed to essentially declaw Starscream. Without the mind control he's still an asshole who will try and destroy everyone's trust in him as often as possible, which without external assurance that he's genuinely not a threat, would make all the adults keep him in jail for years.

AND i think he wouldn't even stay at the autobot base if he didnt have to rely on them.

Yeah thats about the minimum i think it would take for starscream to mayyyybe admit weakness. The quintessons gave him a tummyache :(

Thus, we got ourselves a seeker wandering the base within months.

and then we have someone much more willing to confront the sadder feelings Hashtag has about so many things. And relates on the mind control front, since she isn't very close with Grimlock.

They connected, if only for a moment. by primus they'll connect again. he's adopting her if its the last thing he'll do.

and then hes made fun of for adopting 7-9 teens because hes being a stereotypical nesting seeker.

this gives me the setting to do what i wish.

Observations, surprises, and learnings

Mostly canon pairings: Almost everyone depicted canon romantic and platonic pairings. Only 7 romantic ships were non-canon pairings, and they each had only 1 work. Not a single one was gay! 😢 (Which is motivating me to finally write that Wentworth/Brandon fic for next year!)

Mostly core Austen fandoms: I expected a lot more works from non-Austen fandoms, given how often I see people draw and write Regency AUs for every fandom under the sun, as well as original works, and given how many people from non-Austen fandoms I notified about the event! Also, not a single work was submitted related to a modern Austen adaptation, like Bride and Prejudice, Clueless, or Lizzie Bennet Diaries. I’m not disappointed by any of this, just surprised.

Very few gifs: While I love the 4 new gifsets made for the event, I was disappointed there were only 4, considering how many Austen gifsets I see made for Period Drama Appreciation Week, for instance, and how popular Austen gifsets are on Tumblr. Next year, I will make a concerted effort to contact more gif-makers. (And if you have any you’d love to see join, tell them about this blog! I only just found out about @regencysource yesterday, curses!)

Creativity boost: Several people told me that this event inspired them to start writing again after a block, or post a fic for the first time, or finish a fic they were stuck on. This was so wonderful to hear that the event boosted creators in this way! It made me so very happy. ❤️

Prompt interpretation: My goal with the prompts was that they be somewhat Austen/Regency-specific but not the standard, obvious choices like balls, dancing, proposals, etc., because those wouldn’t be very inspiring since they’re so common already. It was a joy to see the different ways that people used the prompts. For instance, Bath the place vs bath the activity, or literally hunting animals vs figuratively hunting men. And even the folks who used modern AUs found ways to make the very dated prompts like cravat and calling cards work! Bravo on everyone’s creativity!

Okok thinking about the Ghoul Hunter AU and wondering how would the TTT possession play out.

Hunter had been suppressing his hunger and instincts for months and now Belos is in control.

Does he get the same bloodlust as Hunter? Is he able to control it and does he even want to? Does he use Hunter's jaws made for ripping and tearing flesh do to just that to his friends?

Does Hunter have to explain afterwards that the mauling wasn't a side-effect of the possession, not Belos' doing, but an urge Hunter is actively trying to stop himself from acting on day after day?

By the time the possession happened, Hunter would be months without a full meal.

However this wouldn’t be the first time Hunter lashes out as his friends, that would be another time before :3. When the possession happens, the hexsquad would be aware of Hunters tendencies and bit of backstory but not the completed and ugly picture. Hunter censors himself a lot around them, never wanting to expose them to his violence and hating himself for any violence he commits against them or in front of them.

Anyways, when Belos possess him, he is overwhelmed with months worth of bloodlust and hunger. Belos felt hunger and lack of control due to his own past and curse but he was never prepared by overwhelming power of it in Hunter. So unlike canon where Belos has his focus on Titan blood, he’s overwhelmed by hunger and fights with the intent to eat.

It’s shocking, when he possesses Hunter at first with how much hunger and pain he feels as seen in the first image, he didn’t expect it and he can’t control it. So rather than mocking or in control, he’s reduced to a ravenous beast, snarling and salivating with Hunter oh so desperately trying to take back control.

These are also more like concept sketches because I do intend on having more drawings of this particular scene. Belos really thought possessing Hunter would be easy, bro forgot Hunter was used to starving and suppressing urges. :33

Concept: Percy and Leo reincarnate into Epic (specifically!) Odyssey as Nausinous and Nausithous, the sons of Calypso and Odysseus (that were only included in later myths, not the original Odyssey by Homer but shhh!)

Real quick:

- pjo has Calypso being the daughter of Atlas, imprisoned and cursed on Ogygia bc she was on the Titans side in the first war. She’s a titan.

- In Epic, she mentions that she has spent her whole life on Ogygia, heavily implied that she is trapped there as well bc she was “cast aside”. She’s a goddess.

- In what I can find of the original myth (through quick google and wiki searches), she actually just lives there and keeps Odysseus there cuz she fell in love w/ him and wants him to be her immortal husband. She’s technically a nymph/ oceanid

Anyway, the myths give two options for her parents: Atlas, or Oceanus (her mom is always Tethys, the wife of Oceanus). I vote Oceanus in this au bc it makes it immediately obvious that she’s not the Calypso Percy and Leo knew, that this isn’t the world they knew. Also bc it gives more excuse to let Percy still have ocean powers.

There are 3 options for their powers:

- they still have their powers from their old life in full, bc godly blood isn’t actually blood and being reincarnated w/ memories goes against traditional Greek lore anyway

- They only have powers related to Calypso and her geneology (mainly affects Leo in losing most of his old powers). Their powers are stronger than expected for children of such an unknown, minor goddess tho

- Their powers have been affected/ morphed by their new geneology. (Still mainly affects Leo in keeping some of his old powers)

Number 3 is my favorite. So, like, Percy has most all of his ocean powers (drawing mostly on his new titan grandparents of the sea and rivers) but nothing earthshaker and no more storms. Enough wind control for sailing tho, as apparently in the myth Calypso sets the wind at Odysseus’ back. Also, he no longer has telepathy w/ ocean animals and horses, but has empathy and automatic favorability w/ any animals (calypso’s kinda paradise settings).

Leo is still fireproof, but kinda has a sunshine glow and warmth instead of fire. If he works at it, he can still set something on fire (think forest fires, magnifying glasses). His powers I’m kinda more extrapolating on pjo calypsos magic, epic animatics giving her plant power, and the original myth mentioning she weaves? Anyway, Leo inherits a lot of the handicraft things. He keeps his knowledge from his last life, but he was always a more mechanics than forging kinda guy anyway. He is now super great at carving? Like, he will make the most intricate wooden puzzle box ever. (Also, he doesn’t have his magic belt so no wires or easy nails 😢). He’s got more of a green thumb than ever, can kinda tell what plants need but no Demeter kid type control. He also gets to breathe underwater and survive anywhere in the ocean now too! (Tho no control over water) he has also learned a lot about weaving and what magic can be put in weaving a from his Calypso and some watching the mom!Calypso.

Since my Percabeth Parent Swap Au has recently been infesting my brain a little, I wanted to share some other ideas for it!

Sally got the invisibility cap from Athena in Percy's cradle and gave it to him before she was taken by Hades in PJO

(ig Hades would maybe get some minor prophecy connecting Percy to the lightning bolt to the point he wants to leverage Sally against him?? Or maybe he assumed he was Poseidon's kid bc he likes the sea and he was just. Wrong)

Annabeth obv grows up in Cabin Eleven so she's a bit more of a thief and trickster, but also better understands Luke's and the Titan Army's motivation on a more personal level

She also doesn't have that thirst for a quest since she doesn't want to draw attention to herself, and is internally warring between wanting to leave Camp to see the world and wanting to stay because of how strong her scent is

Annabeth and Percy get claimed around the same time to tie them closer together and give basis for Annabeth choosing him as a questmate

Probably in the same game of Capture the Flag, I'd say? Annabeth comes in to help Percy out when he's getting his ass kicked and they get claimed

(their parents are pissed that they chose the same claiming time)

Annabeth has to live alone in Cabin Three, which. Sucks

Percy gets to have siblings tho!

Annabeth gets Riptide

(the two soon swap their godly gifts for the one they like better)

Also Annabeth doesn't have that same devotion to the gods/her godly parent so she doesn't see Percy's disrespect as so outlandish

The TLT prophecy would probably be different, though probably still include a line about Sally

Annabeth is also dealing with her biggest secret being aired out at the worst moment, as well as going from "random unclaimed kid" to "child destined to save/destroy the world" in one day

Luke tries so hard to get Annabeth to come with him and she almost does but she doesn't want to be what everyone fears

She doesn't go back to Frederick and Co. because they decide it's too dangerous for all of them, at least until the prophecy plays out. They try to keep in touch, though

Tyson is Annabeth's brother. In her Cabin. She gets to deal with that, too

Zöe sees parallels between herself and Annabeth (girl gives Riptide to a hero she's enamoured with (even though Annabeth is "more" of the hero)) so it takes her a bit longer to acknowledge Percy's trustworthiness

(no idea if Annabeth would still be the one kidnapped in TTC or if it'd be Percy)

With Mt St Helens, I'd say Percy tricks Annabeth into blowing the volcano up while he's still in it? Like, he didn't mean to still be inside but it turned out like that, I dunno. Annabeth never gets over the guilt of killing her best friend, even if he turned up alive two weeks after the fact

Unbreakable Annabeth. Can you imagine? Annabeth with the Curse of Styx? Esp a Cabin Eleven-raised Annabeth? She's tossing herself off the Big House because the Stolls dared her to

(she has the same curse as her brother! How wonderful, isn't it?)

She's the one that has to make the cursed blade choice with Luke. She has to give her dagger, gifted to her by her brother with a promise of family, to her brother to kill himself. She is. Very far from okay after that

Her bitterness against the gods wins out over her hubris to get her to refuse immortality

Annabeth is the one taken in HOO. Do with that what you will, I don't remember the books well enough to go into detail

Meanwhile Percy gets to go on the Mark of Athena quest and fight Arachne, which is all very nice for him

Annabeth gets to go feral in Tartarus. And I mean feral. As in, we're throwing out that "afraid of poison-bending" thing because Annabeth is the one losing her mind here and Percy is. Well, his fatal flaw is loyalty, and Akhlys had messed with his best friend (after Grover) and girlfriend. He's not telling Annabeth to stop until he thinks she's completely lost it

Also! Annabeth is not suddenly dumb, nor is Percy suddenly serious! Annabeth is still into architecture and STEM and books! She's still a skilled strategist, it just comes more from her experience and practice than an inborn talent! Percy still loves Montauk and skateboarding and joking around! But without the worry of being a Big Three child, he could more easily get the environment needed for him to explore learning, so he more obviously enjoys it! They don't just swap personalities and interests because they have affinities for some different things now.

ok so i have an au ive been talking nonstop about with my gf for the past year or so??? I've drawn a fuck ton of silly doodles for it, but i haven't written anything (YET) but i can give a loose rundown :3

basically, amelia gets cursed. thats it. thats the au.

this is while lucia and amelia are dating and are planning to run away together to get amelia away from her parents, which leads to a lot of conflict and angst when amelia randomly disappears without saying anything and then reappears a few days later covered in blood with no memory of what had happened to her.

i dont wanna go into Too much detail cause i do wanna write smth for this eventually, but i can infodump a little about amelia's curse :]

it's why i draw amelia so fluffy! the curse altered her witch form, making her hair grow super fast so there's no way to look like a 'normal' witch anymore. it works with the moon, so on full moons she shifts into a beast and then as the moon waxes and wanes, so does the amount of magic in her body since her curse is tied to her magic!! she can shift outside of a full moon but it takes up a lot more magic and energy than it would during one, and she can't shift at all during a new moon!!

i drew up this new ref of her beast form!! she's sort of a mix of a bunch of big cats :]

i have a lot of curse lore too and how it connects to the isles >:3 cursed beasts like amelia (and eda) were once used to protect towns pre-belos and were honoured for their roles. they were seen as the Titan's soldiers. because of this, cursed beasts are Very loyal and protective of the people they care about and amelia takes her job of guarding the owl house very seriously -_-

she lives with eda, who adopts her as her own (amelia clawthorne moment) and then eventually she moves out with lucia and they live in a shack in the woods together close by to the owl house ^^

i am so extremely insane about this au, so any non spoilery questions im more than happy to answer!

Titans win au or smt

Alabaster shifted from one foot to other, trying to relieve the ache, not that it did worked. His vision was getting blurry, his spine was on fire. He hadn't consumed anything for almost a day. Perhaps more? The council meeting had started somewhere around mid-noon yesterday and he hadn't left the side of Kronos's throne since, hadn't been allowed to. He had no idea what the time was. They were still arguing.

His mother sent him a brief sympathetic smile from upon her throne and went back to ripping apart Hyperion with her words. If he didn't know it would anger his lord, Alabaster would hold onto the throne's armrest to stop his legs from wobbling.

His head snapped up as the throne room's doors bursted open. A scrawny child with torn clothes and a thin jacket stood at the entrance, cursed loudly when they realised where they got in. Alabaster's throat constricted; the child couldn't be older than thirteen, might even be one that he had took captive, the faces had all started to blur together months ago, he wouldn't know. They probably found an opening to escape and took it, and gotten lost due to not knowing Othrys's layout.

'Run' he mouthed. Above him, as the top of his head barely reached the edge of the armrest, Kronos shifted. Alabaster stilled as he felt a hand placed on his head, standing at attention.

"What’s the saying, what the cat dragged in?" Kronos hummed, "An intruding rat."

The kid made a peeping sound, clearly terrified, eyes darting across the council members frantically. They held their dull blade between Kronos and them, chest raising and deflating rapidly as they breathed out loud.

"My lord," Prometheus raised his hand, "if I may?" He didn't wait for an answer.

"If we can not call mortals rat.. Of course some of them may be quite like them but I'd want to inform that I've worked hard on them and—"

Prometheus shut his mouth as Kronos raised his hand. Alabaster sighed quietly at the relief of the pressure on top of his head being gone. How nice of Prometheus to draw all the anger at him in his attempt to boast about his creations. Hopefully Kronos would remember that and take his frustrations out on Prometheus this week? Call him selfish but Alabaster didn't have a desire to inquire his lord's wrath.

"I am not a rat!" The kid cried out. "I will- I will get out of here and we will end your reign!" They pointed their blade straight towards the main throne.

An intense dread filled Alabaster up as Kronos tilted his head. "How cute... How naive. Demigods," he sighed, " always the same. Always acting like I didn't warn them: Pledge loyalty or die."

A few of the Titans chuckled. Alabaster's gut twisted as the kid inched on themselves, trying to back away, only for the doors to close with a crackling slam.

"You're a demigod!" The kid begged to him. "Why are you doing this? Why are you helping him?"

The kid was young, as young as his littlest sister.

They wouldn't be the youngest person he had killed.

"Torrington!" Kronos bid, waving a hand as if bored.

Alabaster pulled his sword out of his scabbard, watching the kid's eyes grow wide with increasing terror. He took a step forward—

Alabaster stared at the dark marble floor mortified as he collapsed to all fours when his knees gave out. The low chattering cut off. He could feel the scrutinising eyes on him. Kronos broke through the silence.

"Up." He commanded, like you would to a pet.

Alabaster helped himself up with the intricate carvings alongside the throne, but shamefully swaying on his feet even after that. Kronos clicked his tongue, and pushed him down to his knees with his two fingers. Near the back, Atlas howled with laughter. Alabaster stayed put, bowing his head, averting his gaze to not see the pure unadulterated disgust in the kid's eyes.

A gust of power breezed through the room. After a loud thud, and the following silence, the argument over the sacrifices re-began. Alabaster lifted his head slightly to see the kid's crumpled body near the wall, laying in a pool of their own blood.

At the sound of finger snapping, Alabaster rose to attention once again.

They had won the war, both of the camps were gone. His mother finally had the throne she deserved. He was as miserable than he ever had been.

Personal headcannons and Potential au!

I hc that Zane is interested in witchy stuff and can do magic (other than his element) to some extent due to absorbing the power of the golden armor and accidentally absorbing some of the overlords essence (I hc that last part due to ninjago decoded, because the overlord somehow ended up in his system.) not to mention the fact that in the pilots he was(in my opinion he still is)a seer

I also hc that there's some kind of astral world that zane enjoys exploring when he meditates.and he has plenty of knowledge over magic stuff.Plus in this mini au Zane sorta stumbled upon clouse's grimoire (spell book) and took it because he was curious and because clouse was dead/ stuck in the cursed realm (it's not stealing if the owner was dead and didn't put their name on or in it).

Now what exactly is this astral realm in the au? Well to put it simple it's a minor forgotten realm that was ruled by an unknown "god" (who was actually a titan which a being similar to a god but not really) there used to be an ancient civilization there mainly consisting of seers and a race who called themselves night walkers, although their name sounds ominous they were actually peaceful beings who used their magic to deliver dreams to the main 17 realms and guide lost souls to the land of eternal peace(which is the departed realm's more peaceful and beautiful counterpart). However an unknown disaster struck this realm creating a war which caused its civilization to fall into ruins and it's titan sovereign to fall dormant for many centuries . however the night walkers hope despite being dimmed during years of hardship still remained burning for they were revealed a prophecy as they waited for their newborn Savior

YESSS gladly! I love Percy and Barry 🥰 their parallels are why I came up with this AU in the first place (and def check the “pjo x flash au” tag for more!). Okay so:

The backstory follows the PJO books, but the trio have the appearance of the show, because I make the rules ✋

And on that note…yep, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are all tossed into season 1 of the Flash! Ideally right after Titan’s Curse. I still have to finagle with the timeline and nail down specific years tho, because they stick around until Percy turns 16, and that happens at the end of s3. So…I’ve got some math details to work out 😅 and I can’t ignore BOTL, so there’s also that

Percy and Barry bond pretty quickly due to how similar they are. Annabeth bonds with Iris (they’re not totally similar, but they have some things in common…and Iris even sees some similarities to 11-year-old Barry right after his mom died). Grover bonds with Cisco. The Team are all suitably horrified at everything the PJO trio has gone through as kids

The big question hanging over the AU is whether or not to send Percy back. Percy has, at this point, already resigned himself to the Prophecy…and even if he wanted out, there’s Nico to think about—Percy would rather take on the burden himself. The Team is…more hesitant. Percy’s so young, not even 16, and he’s been through so much more than they have. There’s likely a few attempts to “sabotage” the trio going home (which Percy in particular is pissed about. He has a mom to get home to, a destiny to fulfill)

The reason this extends to s3 is because of the super fun Savitar drama. See…Barry’s been nursing a growing resentment against the Olympians…and in addition to wanting revenge on Barry, and wanting to be free of his pain, Savitar’s reason for seeking godly power also has to do with wanting to overthrow the Olympians—or at least, overrule them enough to keep Percy here and make him his lieutenant. And he sweetens the pot quite a bit, offering to bring over his mom and stepdad (if Paul exists in this AU, which idk if he does yet 😅)…and also drawing parallels between Percabeth and Westallen

Because oh yeah that’s the other thing! Percy spends almost two years comparing him and Annabeth to Barry and Iris…and then when Westallen get together, he can’t quite deny his feelings anymore 😂

Well, that was certainly an ending to a season.

I can tell what inspired the Hageman Brothers for the ending of Rise of the Titans (2021). It’s pretty much the same ending beat for beat.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that.

I really don't have too many thoughts on the finale, it's mostly just "at least this was the ending to the season, and not an entire series". Was it the best? No. Was it the worst? No. Just meh.

Had I seen this 2 or 3 years ago, I might have felt differently, but RotT really did a number on me. (If you haven't seen any of the Tales of Arcadia series, please consider yourself lucky. It started off very well but ended Badly.)

I'm glad the the sky pirates turned out to be pretty ok in the end. I really grew to actually like them. I'm going to be sad if they don't show up again.

And Echo! Oh, gosh Echo. Sweet baby boy. I loved the little bit of time we got with him. I hope he comes back again.

I haven't looked to see what the next season will be called yet, but I'm hoping we learn more about the previous Elemental Masters. We've been getting a little bit here and there, but it feel like there's more to their story than we've been told so far.

Tomorrow, I'll be watching the Day of the Departed, and maybe the Wu's Teas shorts, if I can find those. Until tomorrow!

The ninja will be caught at some point by the po-po. And get thrown in a jail cell with one bed.

Nadakhan will pick them off one by one.

The wedding is inevitable. It sure was something.

Mutiny from the crew. Better late than never.

Jay will recruit Echo Zane to help him rescue everyone. He did and he got more friends.

I'm going to cry bc of the wedding thing and everything surrounding that. I cry at things very easily, so this wasn't really a surprise on my end.

Incorrect

Cole will get cured of being a ghost this season. He sure didn't.

Pixal will get a new body. RIP queen.

Nadakhan is going to use Wu to draw out the ninja and make them retrieve the Realm Crystal. This is such a great AU idea.

Going The Mummy (1959 & 1999) route to raise a loved one from the dead -- to bring back Delara. She was brought back via wish, not an entire sacrificial ceremony.

Nadakhan will be trapped in the sword once he's defeated. *disappointed noises*

Flintlocke had a thing for Delara. I'm actually surprised that this wasn't a little subplot. It actually felt like something they would have done.

Jay will be forced to help piece Djinjago together. There were other plans.

Cole, Nya, and Lloyd are going to spend the whole episode planning on how to save Jay. The used that time to try to leave the island. I completely forgot that was something they needed to do in order to even start planning for a rescue mission.

Ronin will help in the rescue mission for Jay. He really didn't.

Jay knowing the ins and outs of the Keep will help them navigate their rescue mission. Yeah. He did all that cleaning for nothing.

Flintlocke swiped the poison and the dart from Clancee. Clancee told Jay where he hid it.

Partially

No one from the Cursed Realm will come back. Sort of? Clouse wasn't in the Cursed Realm when it collapsed, but he was a resident there for a while.

They won't lock Misako up. The didn't even get a chance to finish questioning her before she was kidnapped by Nadakhan.

Kai will be needed to collect the Tiger Widow Venom, and without him the team will struggle. They did struggle without him, but I'm not sure how much help he would have been given the circumstances.

We're going to learn how Jay lost his eye. Sort of? But not really.

First to find out: the player character, while travelling w Arven for the titan quest!! Though if you wanna get technical about it, the professors Do Also Know. It's probably a lot of connecting two and two. Arven stopped showing up to school around about the same time as rumours started spreading of a monster in mesagoza. He's been camping in the paldean wilderness to try and draw less attention to himself. In an rp w a pal, we had the player character discover his empty tent in the middle of the night, only for arven to return in the early morning, looking dishevelled.

His pokemon know, but for the most part he keeps them in their pokeballs. Rascal (mabosstiff) has known ever since arven was a kid, and was a main protective force throughout his life. He would be there to protect and calm him when he transformed. When Rascal got sick, that was the first time arven discovered he'd gone on a "rampage", and the rumours started spreading. I don't think he initially knows it was Rascal who was keeping him from running wild.

Pokemon hybrids aren't common in this au but arven definitely isn't alone!! And not all of it comes from the same source. In Arven's case, he initially believed it to be caused by terastal energy exposure from a young age, but later he finds out about a paradox lycanroc who was summoned through the time machine and attacked him as a child. Its bites had the ability to curse humans. This lycanroc was mentioned in the scar/vio book and is the source of the term "lycanthropy" in this au!! Other causes can be things like divine intervention (Arceus pointed at someone and decided they were gonna be part pokemon), genetics, various environmental factors, basically using the logic of "humans are adjacent to pokemon and sometimes the wires get crossed". Another hybrid in this au is Hassel, who (and this hc was also provided by a friend) is part dragonite, as part of his noble lineage that is mentioned in the game. At some point in the au arven is able to confide in hassel about his situation, so at least he has one supportive adult in his life.

Titanlights Week Day 3: Boo-boo buddies [Emperor´s acolyte AU edition]

"Luz realizes this strange demon from the emperor´s coven is more of a child than a beast"

It happened too fast that day, one moment they are just trying to get more inside information on the Emperor´s Coven the next moment they are now basically holding hostage the Emperor´s weird "lapdog" at the owl house. He made a mess out of the living room in record time, raking claws onto the couch and growling, puffed out in anger, it let out a shrieking voice talking about how doomed they were once the Emperor knows about this, much to their surprise as the demon hadn't let out a speaking word before fully letting it sink in his predicament.

"-So you CAN talk" Eda snorted, and the demon just seemed more annoyed, now playing the silence game with his arms crossed and tail twitching behind him in irritation.

After a few hours, it seemed that he had resigned that his rescue will not be coming in tonight, and wandered silently around the house, Eda had expected him to be looking for a way to escape, but he did not seem interested in fending off alone into the night in Titan´s knows where.

"Sssshhrrrriip-" Luz´s ear perked up at a noise down the hall, blood running cold when she realized it was coming from her room at the house, quickly running in and much to her dismay seeing the demon having busted into her room and starting to rip apart at her belongings,

"HEY- !" Luz shout out but the small demon seemed to purposefully ignore her and continued in his petty wreckage, tearing into left out homework on the floor;

"Stop that, come on!" Luz decided getting physical was the only option, quickly scooping the demon up in her arms. The small beast was startled and obviously angered, pushing Luz away and clawing at her direction, Luz tried remembering her mom´s advice on animals that react aggressively, trying to find his nape, but the demon squirmed his way out and fell with a loud -THUNK!-

Luz realized the demon fell head first onto the floor, worried now that he could have cracked his skull in some way, much more mortified realizing that the golden caps that where on his horns where gone, rolling off nearby, she gasped in horror thinking -she broke his horns-

The demon´s furious glare once he touched the end of his horns wasn't helping her thinking this wasn't the case,

"Oh my gosh oh my gosh- im so sorry i didn't mean it-" she reached out at his head and he hissed and backed away, in all her panic with thoughts swirling in her head she persisted in getting close, and the demon lashed out, biting her hand hard, hard enough to actually draw blood, Luz could bit her lip and cursed under her breath in pain, not wanting to scream out and alert Eda and get this demon she just hurt badly in any trouble for her own mistake, and so the demon realizing she wasn't budging and just taking the bite, eventually softened his grip and let go, letting Luz bruised and bloodied hand shivering in place,

- "Ahh, shoot... i - let me, please wait! , ill get the aid kit!" Luz was trying her best to not let out a sob of pain as tears prickled her eyes as she held her bloody bitten hand and rummaged through things to get bandages, and hopefully glue as well, thinking that at least a temporary fix for the horns could help, meanwhile the small demon just watched intently, grabbing the golden caps left on the floor.

"Childe" she heard behind her, a soft mutter as her good hand finally fiddled around with the aid kit, trying to get a healing patch onto the wound,

"What was that?" she asked because she couldn't really understand what it meant. The demon huffed , "thats what Im called."

"Oh...Oh!" she gleamed through the throbbing hand ache,

"Im Luz! Luz No-" "I already know that." Childe cut her off and held onto the caps. Luz giggled nervously, right , Emperor´s Coven, they know very much about her, shes a criminal to them, to him.

Once her hand was bandaged up and the healing spell started working onto the pain, she finally could grab the glue and carefully scoot close to Childe.

"Sorry about your horns, i hope that this helps a little ?, i guess we are even..."She held her wounded hand up and smiled nervously

"You are resilient, i guess you proved yourself enough to me" Childe tentatively grabbed the glue, then realizing he had no idea what it was for.

"Uhm, oh do you need, help with it? for your horns?" she asked and fiddled with her thumbs and motioned horns on her head.

Childe quirked a brow and then realized, what a stupid human this one was, Belos hyped her up to be more ingenious than this,

"They are hollow. i dont need to glue them on." he said as he just put on the caps back on the cut off horns again. Luz did feel incredibly stupid.

So the bite was all for nothing? she thought and then sighed, no, no she should not have grabbed him like that, of course he was gonna retaliate. Luz glanced at the lower part of his horns, scuffed and scratched, shivering at the thought of what sort of things he had to train for. Luz sat her back on the wall, he seemed so small, helpless, not really fit for a scout at all, the more she looked at him, maybe he was a kid then, even Hunter had some sort of muscle in him from all the training, meanwhile Childe was just,rough all around the edges, his spiked gold collar was too big on him.

"Did it hurt?" she motioned horns again.

"I dont remember. Belos gifted these caps to me, if he found dents on them he would kill you." he glared at her , that explained the anger very well.

"Well, did they get any?"

"....No." she sighed in relief, as if that would make any difference really

"You punished me enough!" she almost playfully booped him on the muzzle before she stopped her finger in the way, he pushed her hand away, rather gently, and turned himself, huffing and curling on the end of her sleeping bag.

"Consider me merciful. I wont rake your face off tonight." Childe said and laid his head and closed his eyes. She did her best finger gun towards him and snorted, probably delirious from the rush of pain and adrenaline of the moments past.

"Thank you very much!" Luz said as she just laid her head against the wall and closed her eyes, too tired to even turn the lights off or get in bed.

My first design for my PJO AU where Luke isn’t the host of Kronos (among other things but it doesn’t really have a name yet.)

Unfortunately someone had to do it where is where I decided to start for my first oc. He doesn’t have a name quite yet but in this AU he’s the one who hosted Kronos and kicked off the Titan War.

He mostly shows up in flashbacks but he definitely plays a similar role to Luke and his actions definitely haunt the narrative.

Most of the quests from the OG books still happened including the Titan’s Curse so I had to give him his gray hair for holding up the sky.

I actually don’t have that many designs done but I’ll post them periodically (probably) as I draw more for this AU than write lol.
