Sometimes I think about the fact that I have 3 separate blogs dedicated to Rose Fall (2 of which are currently inactive due to not being ready yet) and it makes my organization loving brain go wild lol

i totally agree that it’s ridiculous for people to write fics for films that haven’t been released yet, but the problem isn’t the smut itself. people have every right to write porn if that scratches the itch.

i think your main point is the most important: it’s impossible to write a thoughtful, inspired fic when we don’t even know the story it’s based on. no one knows who this character is or what he’s like.

at this point, everyone should just call a spade a spade and write pedro rpf. all they care about is seeing his face in different situations.

so my earlier post was not so much a statement on Pedro Pascal Character fanfiction/porn, but the commercialization of art and I interpreted the thoughts and opinions of others through the lens of the medium I most often express myself with, which is fanfiction.

let me be clear: i have no problem with smut - pwp or otherwise. people are allowed to write whatever they want, about whoever they want, with whatever tropes make them happy.

my overall focus (and granted it was probably very muddled by the end of those - what, like three reblogs?) was an interrogation of fanfiction as art, and the state of art in this modern era. and after doing some more thinking and listening to more people much smarter than me (thank you to everyone who dm-ed me directly to talk further about this), my opinion is thus: the creation of content (not art) is more ubiquitous today is not because we are getting more stupid as a society, not because of our failing attention spans, not because we are on the brink of moral collapse but because we physically do not have the mental strength to be intellectually curious as a direct result of constant, distracting, emotionally-draining stimuli.

i can explain what i mean below the cut with two primary examples, specifically regarding the shift in fanfiction cult, and yes, the prominence of smutty oneshots in the pedro pascal character fandom of which this blog is a part of.

I have been in various fandoms for almost twenty years. I have been writing fanfiction for almost that same amount of time. In recent years, I've noticed two trends that initially discouraged me, but that I now believe is a symptom of our adjustment to a modern, constantly online era.

A severe lack of engagement within the artistic artifacts of a fandom

The quality of the fanfiction itself (because yes I do consider fanfiction to be an artform) has gone down hill - mostly.

Lack of engagement:

Art is inherently created to be shared. This is especially true for fandom because the community lives or dies by how many people are interacting with each other and sharing ideas (news, theories, fanart, fanfic, etc). If you say a fandom is dead, it means there haven't been any new posts or fic about it in years. So I don't wanna hear it when people say, "oh write for yourself, you shouldn't be chasing engagement" because that is antithetical to the very concept of fanfiction.

In recent years, I have seen and experienced myself engagement in my work only so far as a like or kudo. This is not how it used to be. Message boards (yes I am that old) and niche fandom sites were constantly abuzz with media sharing and excitement, and everyone enjoyed some version of praise (unless you got hit by the antis but they're never fun anyway). Initially I blamed this drop in engagement on laziness: people just want the next thing, they can't be bothered to appreciate the hard work writers put in and they just see content and art as the same thing - stuff to consume.

But I myself am GUILTY of minimal reblogs and comments and I LOVE what I'm writing - the impact certain works leave me with is long, long lasting but for some goddamn reason, I can't sit down and praise the author's works. Am I lazy? Possibly, but this is also not an isolated behavior and it's on the rise: people do not have time to engage with fandom/fanfic like they used to. Most people I know have worked at least two or three jobs at some point in their lives to just to make rent. This gen z is the first generation in DECADES to be worse off economically than their parents. With an interest rate at 8%, who the fuck can afford the security of a home anymore? We work ourselves to the bone for scraps and the realization that The Dream has officially died. And so what do we want to do in the free time we do have? Engage with the very bare minimum. We want to read things that we can at best skim, things we don't have to think about or engage with in any meaningful way. We want a way to turn off the noise of the next apocalypse and sometimes the best we can do is the tap of a thumb.

Which brings me to my next point: what the fuck happened to thoughtful fanfiction?

But this question is inextricably linked to the points above: oneshots are easier to write, faster to write, and if you write fic that is basically "Mad libs porn" (without ever engaging in the actual medium because it is literally not released yet), you are doing the most minimal work for the most amount of engagement. But I can't fault ANYONE for doing that. It feels good to be told your smut is "so hot" or "this exploded my panties" and in this era where the time available to create is so fucking small and minimized of course you're going to write for the most popular character, whether or not you're interested in the source material because we want our art to matter to someone. Intellectual pundits loooove to lambast our "shorter attention spans" but fuck, when are we allowed the time to think - in between this "100 year storm" that's happened twice in the past five years, or the global pandemic that turned millions of deaths into a political punching bag, or the next video of a white woman crying wolf to the police over an innocent black man, or - or - or - or

In a day where reality and the world as we know seems to be holding onto a thread, we turn to comfort: comforting tropes (dbf to rape/kidnap fantasies), comforting fanfic (pwp), and comforting ways to engage with fandom. There is nothing wrong with wanting your art to be appreciated and there's nothing wrong with inherently wrong with pwp - but I do believe its symptomatic of a MUCH larger and more sinister movement within ALL art right now.

I come from the generation who banished fanfic authors for scrubbing off the filing numbers to their fics and publishing it as original content because, in our communities, they were selling out. Fanfiction is inherently an act of rebellion. Every time you write fanfiction you break canon, an established structure with its own rules and boundaries. So by trying to appeal to the masses, to curb your own writing to fit whatever is mainstream, you are doing a disservice to yourself AND to the art of fanfiction. If something you write becomes popular, wonderful, great, you are very lucky and there is nothing wrong with that either. But do not sell out your 13 beloved fans who WILL take the time to leave a comment, who WILL take the time to reblog because your weird little fic spoke to them on a fundamental level and now is with them for the rest of their lives - in favor of a 100 thumb taps.

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Megan, I’m 31 and my wol is Heather. I have been playing ffxiv off and on for around 5 years. I must say however, that somewhere along the way I was distracted by cute buns and for the past three years I have been hopelessly addicted to this lovely game, abandoning every other game that I have ever loved.

Some of you may remember me from a few years ago. I had a blog, and things were going well. First and foremost, I would like to apologize for disappearing and I do hope that the ones that remember me can find it in their hearts to forgive me. I let someone from the community ruin things for me, and I felt as though I had no other choice but to leave. This person was stalking me and making my gaming life miserable, and I truly do apologize to those of you who were so kind to me before I vanished.

I had deleted Heather in a desperate attempt to get away from this person as well. With that being said, when they restored her, my friend’s list could not be brought back with her.

Heather is my oc, she’s a viera who has been through quite a lot in her lifetime. She doesn’t trust easily, but if you are patient with her and give her time, you will earn a very loyal friend who will do anything for you.

Star Sending Event Info

Welcome to the Pokeask community’s first Star Sending Event. Basically, this is a Holiday Exchange (AKA, Secret Santa) with a little twist: It’s in-character! Write up a wishlist for your characters and in exchange receive another blog’s character’s wishlist - one which you either draw or write your character completing their gift as best they can.

This is not a full fledged event with a location your characters must attend, interact with others, etc. You only need to do three things: Write your character's wishlist, fill the sign-up form, and do your piece for who you get!

One entry per PERSON.

The form to apply is found above, just make sure you read the full document first.

Do not expect to send or receive more than one gift (But you can choose to provide more than one should you be inspired)!

As part of your entry, you can submit multiple Wishlists for your characters, with one list each. This gives your Sender multiple options to choose from. More lists does not guarantee more gifts to receive. 

Senders may do as much or as little as they like with their submission, as long as it meets the minimum requirements for the post.

Feel free to reply to your Sender’s submission as well, and use it to kickstart an interaction!

You MUST keep your Recipient a secret.

Do not share with anybody that is also participating in the event. 

This event focuses around character interactions.

Politely, I ask you don’t join with the sole intent of getting free art or writing pieces. While I ask for effort in submissions, the main goal is to spark little interactions between the characters from different blogs!

TIMELINE

Assume all dates are done under the Eastern Standard Time Zone. We do not have exact times because our team is doing this within our availability and have life priorities outside of the event.

Our application period starts from now, and runs until the 3rd of November. 

Wishlists will be distributed on the 4th or the 5th, depending on availability and any extra organisation needed. 

You may start working on your submission as soon as you receive your Wishlist!

We will be checking in on submission progress on two separate WIP dates; the 25th of November and the 15th of December. This will be to make sure you’re on track with your submission.

 A verbal update is sufficient for the first Checkup, but we expect something more substantial by the second Checkup. 

If no update is received a backup entrant will be assigned to your Recipient. We will have one final Checkup on the 10th of January for unsubmitted posts.

As part of the above, PLEASE keep a line of communication open with us! We will be understanding if you find you cannot complete your gift and there is no judgement towards you should that occur. We want the event to be as fun as possible!

As part of submitting your Wishlist, you MUST make sure to include some kind of visual reference for the characters that you are submitting lists for.

Wishlists may be posted publicly, and posting them is even encouraged! Tag them under #pokestarsending2023. 

Wishlists are allowed to be farfetched, abstract, or even impossible to complete in-canon if it is in-character for your OCs to request such a thing.

If you’re unsure what this qualifies as, check the list examples or confirm with a mod!

In the case something your character would ask for is something you as the blog owner does not want to be completed for plot or story reasons, please leave a note written OOC stating so!

Lists can be written in-character, out-of-character, by a different character on the blog, or just a simple bullet pointed list.

As everything is completed in-character, do not expect the Sender to complete any wishes in a proper manner if it doesn’t seem fit for them! 

SUBMISSION INFO

The period for posting for submissions will start on the 24th of December and ends on the 31st of January.

We ask that you send your submission to be checked over with us to make sure it meets all requirements. Once approved, you may post!

If you require more character info about your Recipient, you may ask us to ask for you while keeping you anonymous!

Remember: It is your character that is completing what is requested on the Wishlist. 

Your character does not need to be able to fully complete a gift item from your Recipient’s list, if it isn’t realistic for them (i.e. their Wishlist asks for Technology and your character is a Wild Pokemon, which may be unrealistic or abstract). HOWEVER, there should still be effort put forth by your character in providing the gift.

Try to keep the tone positive and heartwarming, unless you receive permission from the character owners for your submission to take on a different tone.

Post by @-ing your Recipient, and include the tag #pokestarsending2023! We will be reblogging all submissions.

If you are unavailable to post your piece during the submission period, please let us know! We can post it for you on our blog.

Writing minimum: 600 of words minimum.

600 words is the minimum we ask of a writing submission to make sure enough is put into describing the gift and/or gift giving process. If you find yourself struggling to meet the minimum, please reach out to us with your WIP so we can can help review it with you.

In the case you plan to write the Recipient as part of your submission, we will inform you if the person receiving would prefer you not to write their character in your submission. 

Instead, try focusing on other details: How would your character prepare the gift? What process do they take in doing so? To what lengths do they go? Also, make sure you describe the gift itself and how it’s delivered to its Recipient.

Art Minimum: Either a coloured full-body, or a half-body with a background (at least three props).

Must include the character of the Wishlist. Including your own character is encouraged.

Comic Minimum: Clean sketch, 3 panels.

So it's come to my attention that despite the page I have set up within the desktop version of my blog, I don't have a mobile version of an introduction post here. Oops! This one's newly written, too, in a different format than the other.

So, that being said - Hello!

I am Nikki/Niko (Whichever you prefer!) and I am a 27-year old Genderfluid artist person (My birthday is on January 9th!). I don't think there's too much to be said here, but I can and will say with confidence that this blog has been, especially in the last few or so years built up to be a catch-all for whatever I deem good to reblog or post (All of which typically related to fluff stuff, feel-good vibes or something that I may feel strongly about).

This place is, and always will be a safe space for a) People with disabilities (I am autistic, have ADD and Bipolar as well as Anxiety) and b) LGBTQ+-identifying people (I am, as mentioned before Genderfluid, and I'm Pansexual Panromantic!).

If a reblog or post makes you uncomfortable, then I will happily delete it if asked.

I make it a point to keep these posts SFW especially nowadays - however, I can't quite vouch for possibly the oldest of my posts (as I've been here since the early 2010s along with some ol' dumb teen thoughts involved and it'd take forever to sort absolutely everything out from over a decade ago at this point). I'm pretty sure that I've removed most of the NSFW stuff already from those years ago, but if I missed something then I don't mind deleting it as long as you let me know first (I'm incredibly disorganized and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction).

With these details out of the way - I am an artist that dabbles in various fandoms with no real sense of rhyme or reason outside of either hyperfixated interest or otherwise with the intent to update old ideas and refresh them into new ones. Dance Dance Revolution, NotITG, Friday Night Funkin (I'm a rhythm game nerd and love the creativity of the communities surrounding these three - I just haven't been able to piece together anything for it yet visually except for FNF stuff on and off)

A Dance of Fire and Ice (Same as the DDR fandom part, but I've made a couple fanart pieces before so this one I may have an easier time of conceptualizing later)

FNAF (Specifically Security Breach AU work! This one's not as frequent as others but I still have stuff in mind for it. Security Breach is how I finally caved with the FNAF series as a whole after watching how the fandom grew over the years.)

Warriors (Warrior Cats, in our year 2024? Eeyup. I just like the funny spiritual witties!)

Team Fortress 2 (This one's in and out but it's one that I come back to a lot as my boyfriend, regularly interacting and involved in the GMOD animation community reminds me of my own TF2 stuff with his presence alone lol. Love you James! <3)

Persona 3, 4 and 5 (This one's a lil self-explanatory but I have AU ideas surrounding these games that I want to make more art for eventually)

If I have anything else not listed before, I'll add it to the list. C: Please keep in mind that although I dabble in these fandoms, AU versions of existing characters may be changed in terms of sexuality, personality etc to reflect the AU they are from (For example, I have a version of Cream Unicorn Cookie that uses he/they pronouns, and my Redeemed!Pomegranate Cookie from the same AU leans bisexual over lesbian for reasons relating to reflection of character and overall character development. I like to make characters more flexible while self-indulging, so keep this in mind). I note this because my own headcanons about certain characters have set off one or two people in the past unintentionally and they VERY much have pushed things in an effort to keep canon down my throat out of retaliation. Let's just say that this part in particular is a thing that taps a sore spot for me for personal reasons. :/

When it concerns making art of my characters - surprise or not, feel free to make art of them and mention me in post (and/or message me, either way works)! It makes me feel SO loved when I get art from others, and I appreciate every piece dearly. 💜💜💜 (I go so far as to hold onto an archive of art that was done for me - with artist names in-tact within the file name nowadays!)

A few things to consider when it concerns tickling-related matters with me:

I am a Switch! I'm unsure how far Ler or Lee I am just yet, but I do enjoy tickling both ways. Unfortunately, however, I'm the kind of person that practically flies across a room when poked,, (if it comes down to tickling my sona - Niko Spirata - tie or hold 'em down if you want to wreck 'em with tickles lol)

My interest in tickling alone is purely SFW - It feels too weird looking at IRL photos/videos with very rare exception (a lot of the exception is the giggle the lee produces from ticklish contact). As a result, all the stuff I'll be reblogging and posting here is art or animation-related instead!

My favorite tickle trope is the one where a shrunken someone or a small something wiggles under the unwitting lee's clothing to tickle them! (Points at wormonastriing's Squirmles as an example of this trope :3) No, seriously. If I end up with art of any of my characters getting destroyed with tickles in this manner I will ASCEND BEYOND GALAXIES.

My favorite spots with tickling overall are belly, side and rib tickling - on rarer occasions, I enjoy tickling in other places (I prefer foot tickling if the lee has paws instead of normal feet!). This lines up with a particular enjoyment of characters being slightly chubby! I looove a good squeeze of the sides or belly, enough to get the lee blurting out giggles.

Lily Orchard Accusations Masterpost (response)

“Lily wrote pedo fic!”

This references an old fanfic called “Scars” that skewered and condemned the brony fandom’s romanticizing of abuse and their excusing of pedophilia. Was hosted on GDrive, and then angry bronies edited it to have underage sex scenes into it and reposted it to other sites under the name “Stockholm” using the same tactics they’d developed harassing a teenage girl for not liking their rapist Celestia comic.

Scars was written in 2012, discarded and disowned in 2014, and rebooted in 2018 to be an original story about trauma.

first lie. see EssenceOfThought’s video that include a clip of LO’s saying “i can’t do (a video) on Stockholm, i wrote that one.” more than that, there are multiple clips circuling around about LO talking about stockholm, showing fanart for it or referencing written facts that only ever happened on that series. @lilysstreaminghiglights​ has another bunch of clips of LO openly talking about her writing process behind stockholm and referencing ships she only wrote on stockholm. her character spectrum, that she still references to this day, was originally an OC from this fanfiction. it takes a lot more effort to believe someone misteriously wrote Stockholm (that is a long series of multiple fics, not just one) and pin it on LO than believe LO wrote it when she was an adult and doesn’t want to take accountability for it.

“Lily encouraged a friend to groom a minor!”

This refers to FireRose, an awful real person ship the Brony Analysis Community was encouraging that I was pressured to go along with under the threat of harassment. I was previously deluged with death threats by one of these people for not liking Team Fortress 2 and it had been to first time I had been harassed en masse so I was intimidated into complacency. I immediately denounced the people involved once I escaped from that mire of toxicity and fled. The only surviving relic of this is an old post on Josh’s blog, who naturally never reblogged the denouncement because duh. My blog itself was purged of all posts in 2018. After 5 years (this took place in 2013) I naturally didn’t think such an old relic would be dug up but I guess you should never underestimate the obsession of a stalker.

see EOT’s video for more references and screenshots proving this incident. nobody bullied LO into saying “they won’t be for long” when someone pointed out that the person involved was a minor. LO said that out of her own free will.

“Lily is a zoophile!”

A furry drew furry porn and blamed it on me.

refering to Patch. here’s a video of him talking about it, providing multiple screenshots of LO approving the art and paying for it. also includes Patch expressing that he felt pressured to be more and more sexual while interacting with LO because he thought that was the only way to be a good friend to her. “furry porn” also doesn’t fully covers what the porn actually was. it was a drawing of a bunch of dogs SA Evelyn, the OC of Lizzy that LO later stole, recoulered and barely changed her name when Lizzy mentioned taking possible legal actions since her character is copyrighted. at the time that these transactions were taking place LO would complain a lot behind Lizzy’s back about how sexually inactive she was and how LO wanted more sex from her. more on this later.

A 16 year old got around YouTube’s age verification to access an 18+ stream and saw my boobs.

what she fails to mention is that she promoted a 18+ stream on a SFW channel and then failed to explain to said minor why exactly it was 18+. on youtube 18+ content can refer to sexual jokes, mentions of sex, LGBT+ issues or irl violence, but never porn. pornographic material, including naked bodies with the end goal of titilating anyone, are forbbiden so that 16 had no immediate reason to assume that LO would do that during stream. see EOT’s video for evidence.

“Lily abused her exes!”

I have three exes these people refer to. One of them emotionally abused me for years, raped me several times, and toyed with my head out of a sick need for control, and swatted me. Her actions nearly drove me to suicide.

Another allowed her mother to verbally abuse me at every turn without protest.

The third ended the relationship on a very innocent misunderstanding and we’re still friends.

i guess this is official confirmation that she isn’t on good terms with Carousel, who she brings up later.  in all fairness, the only one of her exes that has come forward with allegations of abuse (more specifically, emotional abuse, being pressured into engaging in sexual activities that she already said no to, which included drawing NSFW art that made Lizzy uncomfortable and LO still has to this day, and cheating) was Lizzy. but that doesn’t mean that she is the only person that has allegation of similar nature against her. Patch is one, @britts-galaxy-brain​ was another. they were both friends of LO and found themselves manipulated into giving in to her sexual demands.

“Lily suicide baited her ex!”

I was suicidal after my ex’s extensive abuse.

you were suicidal publicly on a platform where everyone could see it. Lizzy then called for a wellness check and LO has called that swatting ever since, adding up a story of being abused by the police but also saved by a convenient lesbian police woman who just happened to be there.

“Lily faked being trans to get in a lesbian’s pants!”

Putting aside the fact that this is blatant TERF rhetoric, I came out as trans two weeks before ending that friendship. And I’d already been in her pants years prior.

the mention of a “terf rethoric” is going to be really funny in a bit. but how curious she didn’t mentioned what friendship she’s talking about. maybe she doesn’t because then she’d have to admit that was @britts-galaxy-brain​, that they were still friends when LO came out, recieving full support from Brittany, and despite the multiple guiltripping and manipulation tactis that she attempted to do, while catfishing as someone else, LO never met Brittany in real life. the bringing up “been on her pants” is still a gross details that nobody needed to know. side note: i don’t actually support this theory either. i don’t think it does anyone any good.

“Lily dated an 11 year old boy!”

This was in 2003. I was born in 1992. He was a classmate. This accusation rose after I talked about my first childhood relationship in 5th grade.

this is the first time i ever heard of this claims. nobody cares.

“Lily dated a 17 year old girl!”

This was in 2008. Same story. I was the younger one in that relationship. This is why the dates events happened are important, people.

again, never heard of this before. i don’t know why LO felt strongly enough about these two points to bring them up before.

“Lily abused a fan for drawing her fanart!”

Said fan drew me in an extremely harmful way almost immediately after I made a post complaining about how people would draw me in that way. This fan was a long time viewer and knew this already. Though I apologized for lashing out and the fan apologized for doing it in the first place, said fan went on to harass me anyway.

see Opal’s video on this situation to get their side of the story. i saw it all while it was happening so i can confidently say this is all mostly lies. LO never apoligized to Opal nor Opal knew that her drawing would cause such a violent angry reaction because LO famously refuses to have a clear guideline of what kind of fanart she prefers. Opal did apoligized to LO, twice, and LO doubled down as many times she wanted to frame Opal as a awful person, all the while having blocked Opal. unless Opal was doing something behind the scene, they never harassed LO either and LO has never provided any evidence of this. the reason LO claims that Opal is harassing her is because they have two videos providing further evidence that LO did wrote Stockholm: 1, 2. the fact that she wants to framme Opal as a harasser  is because she doesn’t want to public to know about it. side note: Mangakamen also did his own video referencing the situation and pointing out how abusive was the response of LO.

“Lily groomed her partners!”

Both my wife and my ex girlfriend have been the subjects of these accusations. My wife is 29, my ex girlfriend is 22.

Lizzy and ginger were both 19 when you first dated them. ginger talked themselves about how they were a fan of LO since they were 17 and were quickly accepted on the “inner circle” of LO when reaching 19, which also quickly turned into a relationship. ask yourself why LO doesn’t bring ginger’s age up.

“Lily romanticized suicide!”

This refers to a story idea where two old women pass away within a week of each other.

lie. LO said that Rey would commit suicide after the death of her partner and, more horrifying than that, that she talked about it to the rest of her family and they all agreed it was a good idea. for weeks LO argued that this was very romantic and rey was old anyway.

“Lily holds lewd streams for her mostly minor audience!”

7% of my audiences are minors according to Google Analystics. The streams were age gated. YouTube requires an ID verification to access them. They are also no more raunchy than an episode of Family Guy.

7% is not 0 and as long there isn’t 0 you have no excuse not to think about them. the first stream where LO flashed the audience wasn’t age gated. Youtube requiring ID only happens in certain countries, from which she never clarified a majority of her audience comes from, not world wide. here’s a clip of her showing her personal spank bank on a stream that wasn’t age gated. here a clip of many followers of LO talking about how they followed her since they were minors. here a clip of LO disregarding people being uncomfortable at being shown porn. here a clip of LO trying to set up a irl meeting with a fan for sex. here is a clip of LO claiming she sucked her wife off during stream. here a clip of LO claiming to be completely naked while streaming. this is not raunchy content, this is encouraging a hypersexual environment where she knows children could be. other factoids that i couldn’t find a clip of so take with a grain of salt at your discretion:

-LO lamenting that she couldn’t flash everyone on stream because one minor mentioned being a minor on chat.

-one of the flashing incidents happened with MO, who did it too.

“Lily called a Jewish Woman a Nazi!”

I criticized the way Steven Universe bends over backwards to get along with fascists, a worrying trend many leftists are getting into. I never called Rebecca Sugar a Nazi. I called her a suicidal idiot.

LO made a almost three hours videos constructing the narrative that Rebecca Sugar is a nazi sympathizer and then offering a weak passive “i didn’t say that but i wouldn’t blame you if you did”, all the while misrepresenting the show, the character of Sugar and straight up lying to support her narrative. on her blog since then LO popularized the trend of calling SU a name that ties back to nazis.

“Lily doesn’t consider antisemitism worth talking about!”

After the 4 year long harassment I recieved for criticizing Steven Universe, I decidedly avoided talking about the antisemitic tropes of The Big Bang Theory and Harley Quinn, both of which have Jewish creators.

i’m not sure what she’s even saying here. SU also has a Jewish creator. what she said doesn’t work as a response to the claim either. the claim was “LO doesn’t really care about antisemitism” and LO defense was “no, i don’t, you’re right.”

“Lily hates women’s sexuality!”

I said Reylo was bad, straight women’s fixations on serial killers was bad, and that Bayonetta was Hideki Kamiya’s fetish fuel.

she also has erased the sexuality of bisexual women she doesn’t like by calling them straight and in some cases that they have “a straight woman’s taste on men.” the judging women for their sexuality is very much still misogyny, even if those women are straight and they like characters that you don’t.

“Lily hates sex workers!”

I said “Sex work is work.” I am also a former sex worker.

i have nothing for this one. 

“Lily fetishized black women!”

I dated a black woman, and then made a black OC that I thought was cool, and got excited about a few black characters that I also thought were cool.

LO also said that Hunter (a character she won’t shut up about) would be “inherently more interesting” if he were black. she made a comic where rey crushes exclusively on black women. even if none of this is enough to convince anyone of anything, LO still showed anti-blackness when she painted the black people who called her out for making them uncomfortable as vultures and stalkers not worth listening to during a stream. many of her claims are constantly debunked by her own streams. why do you all think she deletes them?  more than that, it’s pretty weird that the first thing she says to the claim of fetishization is that she dated a black woman. those are not mutually exclusive facts.

“Lily is racist!”

I have had a few slip ups in the past. I have apologized and made strides to do better. I have said many times I don’t begrudge anyone who is still angry about them.

she won’t blame anyone for being angry at her because of her “few slip ups”, but she’ll still minimize it on her “accusations masterpost”. if it looks like contradictory and like she isn’t really sorry it’s not for nothing. one of those “slip ups” was admitting to keep repeating a song that contained the n-word on it.

“Lily misgendered a trans person!”

This refers to Essence of Thought, a right wing Youtuber whose gender I was unaware of until recently. She came into my stream chat to hurl verbal abuse over me not taking her bullshit seriously and I said “Dude fuck off.” The chat then mocked her until she left.

here’s a clip of LO misgendering EOT during a stream and saying that she deserves it because she acts like a dude. anyone can see EOTS’s channel to see at a glance that she’s not right wing at all.

LO fails to mention: 1- they were 3d rendering of not only shotacon, but many other material of worse nature. one of them involves what looks to be a irl girl naked opening her mouth and that picture in particular haunts me to this day. 2-those two accounts misteriously dissapeared very, very soon right after they were brought up to the attention of the public. one of them had reached 800+ favourite images before being deleted. 3- the account without the 3d renderings that Brittany discovered has been years in constant usage, but all activity on it stopped suddenly the moment she brought it up to the public until very recently.

I didn’t want to watch a video about Lindsay Ellis.

reference to a series of videos made by Xiran Jay Zhao with the collaboration of multiple southeast asian creators. the first video only mention Lindsay Ellis briefly but it’s actually about Disney and the way they handled the SEA representation on the movie Raya and the last dragon. LO just showed here that she prefers to hate more on a white woman than hear about what SEA people say about their own representation. similar to how she much prefers to hate on a white traumatized teenage boy that appreciate the afrolatina main character.

Three years ago today, I decided to join this fandom and I am so glad I did!

I had reblogged things randomly from a non-choices blog and liked things on my personal account but I had never really interacted with anyone or participated in the fandom. When I was in elementary school, I definitely was writing fan fiction, but then as I got older people made me feel less because of it and I stopped writing. Then I found this fandom community and decided to take a risk and pick it back up again. I never expected anyone to read it!

I'm truly grateful to everyone who has ever read or supported my writing here or on any of my blogs. You will never know how much it means to me! Thank you!

Don't poop on the floor

You never know what you're going to get with me. You may get a multipara starter/reply, you may get a few sentences. I don't expect you to match my length, especially if I've written a behemoth of a starter... but I do ask that you try to match my effort. If I'm writing a huge reply and you respond with something that doesn't match the setting or context, (and do this consistently,) I'm more than likely going to drop threads, and if this keeps happening, I'll just soft block you. Yes I do this for fun, but I put abouts and rules and everything you need to know for a reason, and if you can't be bothered to put in the effort to read it, or properly read my responses, then don't even bother.

I am a mobile user. Maybe once in a while, I'll pop onto a computer at the library to fine-tune posts like this, but it's hard, if not impossible for me to use the site to its full extent. As such, icons will not be used, tags will be scarce, and trimming posts will not be done the way I like.

Trimming posts are a strange area. I have adhd and autism, so the best way for a thread to be trimmed is with the last response still attached. This way I can remember what's going on in the thread, which will lead to an overall better rp experience. If posts don't get trimmed, I'll just have to make the reply and hit that big red X button that deletes everything before my response, so take that as a warning.

RESPECT MY FUCKING BOUNDARIES. I've had some issues with one individual who sucked me into this Fandom, they refused to take no for an answer and forced me to rp an incest ship. This has scared me away from this rpc for years. If I say no, it does not mean "convince me," it means no. I have a three-strikes-your-out policy.

Speaking of boundaries, this blog in particular deals with themes of child abuse, racism, and possibly more dark themes. I will tag as needed, but I may also forget, so if you are easily triggered by this stuff, do not follow this specific blog. I can also be found at @reactivatedrockstar, but I can only be dmed here.

I have a full-time job as a daycare teacher. I am not always online. Do not pester me for replies unless it's been a few days. Maybe a notif bugged out, or maybe I thought I replied but didn't. General rule of thumb, if it's been less than a day, then don't pester me.

I like to talk in the DMs!! Please don't think that this is a passive-aggressive attempt to get you to reply, as eager as I get, this is a hobby, and I will not rush you intentionally!! Please tell me politely if I make you feel rushed or don't want to talk via dms. (I personally just think that writing is more fun when you know your partners.) I have kept up with the lore moderately well, but if I don't know something, or have forgotten something, do not bully me. I have zero tolerance for it. You respect me, and I respect you.

My Persona

Hello, all. It's Asenath. I have decided to make quick art of my persona, as Azazel showed me (and I have seen) that zy posted art of theirs.

As it stands, my persona's colour palette is quite a choice right now. While I have no qualms with it, Az said that it makes zier eye's hurt. So, I may change it soon.

Overall, this took me longer than initially intended as I was busy with family all day and only had tidbits of time here and there to get it done. The thing that took the longest was definitely the colouring, especially since I find it the least enjoyable part of the artistic process. Therefore, expect many of my posts in the future to be in black or white, or another monochrome colour palette.

This piece was very lazy and is not what my best art looks like at all, so I understand fully if you're not able to find enjoyment in the artwork. I do not fully understand why I decided to post this just because Az did, perhaps it's because we are so close.

Me and Azazel met around three years ago on the app commonly known as Discord. We both found ourselves in a small, close-knit community of self-shippers and hit it off almost instantly. Our friendship bloomed into a strong comradery, a bond almost blood linked in nature. This Discord server has since dissolved, and most of the members have gone their own way.

In fact, I have not had any communication with any other member except for Azazel in a year. Additionally, their last messages were nothing less than disgusting and rude. They have all decided mutually that me and Azazel were the root cause of the issue of which caused the server to cease existence. This is entirely fictional, and I have not a single idea in my brain what chronically incorrect notion adapted by them caused this group to hate us so furiously.

As for me and Az meeting Gabriel, well that will be a story for another time. Perhaps one day I will also explain the circumstances of said Discord server, but for now I feel as if I need to discuss the matter more thoroughly with my close friend.

As always, if you have any questions for me or any other moderator of this blog, feel free to send us an ask and/or message and we will respond as soon as possible. However, any inherently ignorant or mean message will be removed, and if we can find the account linked to it you will be promptly reported for bullying.

I have been attacked personally so many times by multiple people claiming me to be some delusional egotistical sociopath. It quite honestly dampens my mood, but I try not to let it get to me to save face. Not my own face, obviously, but that of others as my anger is intense and venomous. I only lash out against those that I feel truly deserve it.

Being an angel, I know these people the moment I set my eyes on them. I can feel it in my bones, flesh, and the air I breathe when I interact with someone who's intent is impure. People may think that I am delusional- that what I say is nothing less than absolute lie. These people are nothing less, and nothing more, than human.

It's human to not be able to understand or perceive things that you may deem impossible. For that, I am not angry at those people. Their feelings are more than understandable, if not a bit childish and mortal. But they didn't choose to be mortal, like I didn't choose to be an angel nor an alien.

But I'll explain more some other time perhaps. I have been rambling on for quite a while and I really don't mean to bore you with my long-winded explanation on how Heaven, Hell and Purgatory really work. Plus, mortals and those not inherently Holy in nature will never understand fully. It is their greatest fault.

2024 Week 5

I need to get better about writing these blog posts on a timely basis. Originally I was using Twitter for every thought that popped into my head and posting it immediately, but I got tired and embarrassed by that very quickly.

I have multiple Twitter accounts and have been using the platform since 2016 I think. My main Twitter has a lovely selection of posts— art from my favorite artists, cute foods, different sciences, psychology, astrology, and funny memes. Then there's one I made as a VTuber and one I made for art after the last account was hacked. I don't check the VTuber one anymore because it's full of VTuber drama or overtly sexual humor. I understand that's part of the appeal of VTubers, but the jokes are so corny and make me cringe quite a bit. It makes me feel like I'm back in high school with a bunch of obnoxious students yelling dumb jokes as the teacher is trying to speak. Very specific, I know, but I think we've all experienced something like that.

The art Twitter isn't any better since I follow some VTuber mutuals on there. The people I follow are fine, but on the timeline I still see dumb posts with people either stirring up drama, spreading misinformation, or being overly dramatic about simple things. The memes on there are also super outdated— like stuff I saw back when I was still on Tumblr is making rounds again and people are eating it up. It's just become very off-putting to be there. I did have a lot of fun posting daily as a challenge though. It was a good exercise in research to see what kinds of posts were doing well. And I do like the mutuals I made through streaming, they are all very sweet people. I want to stay connected with them if possible.

I've been brainstorming other ways to pursue "content creation" (I hate that phrase). I just want to share my work with others and bond with them over it. I don't desire to be famous or have a community, I just want to have fun with my hobbies and interact with people.

Maybe it's better if I make a text document and update that like a Twitter every day for the week, and then compile them all into a post on Saturday or something like that. I will think about how to continue the consistency. This is probably the clunkiest post I've made because the sentences are so abrupt and short. But right now I just want to get my thoughts across.

Nothing super interesting happened this week I guess. I found a new dentist and set up an appointment with them, which is early tomorrow morning. I need to schedule a checkup next, but maybe I will wait a bit for that. I want to get a blood panel done this year and see how I'm doing. Work was dull this week because I barely had anything to do— and then suddenly I had to repeat one task three times, which was annoying but no one's fault.

It's been storming a lot so I made a tasty soup today. I used the chicken stock I made and froze a few months back, and added wood ear mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, baby bok choy, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and noodles. The broth tasted especially good after the ingredients simmered in it for a while. I want to try making it again. I want to make a heartier one though since this was a very light vegetarian soup.

The storm was making me feel anxious though, the tree outside was waving its branches wildly and bending to the winds. the wind and water hitting against the outside surfaces of the house was also a bit eerie to hear. My fear is that the roof will crumble and place will flood, though I think the place is a lot more structurally sound than that. I have enough food and a giant flashlight if I do lose power (many of my friends already did today) so I will just try to be careful.

What’s your fannish ID? Once upon a time there were three friends who ventured into the world of children's book illustrations. The Cool guy, the guy who looked like the Thing from the Fantastic 4 and me, the Tragedy part. Living by illustration is very difficult here, so we move on with our lives but we're still good friends, of course. And I kept the name for myself because I think it's childish and chaotic at the same time.

What types of fanworks do you create? I like to draw fan art. One of the things I love most about the art world is the possibility of always changing and experimenting. My art style has changed a lot over time, but you can still recognize my style if you look at the old stuff I made.

What are your favourite types of fanworks, when you’re not creating? Oh, I love fanfics! It fascinates me how authors are able to create a whole new world out of another. It's magical and I love it!

What do you like in particular about this fandom? I love how everyone in this fandom is so creative. Some illustrations and fics hit me in such a special way that I end up thinking about them for many days. Matt/Foggy are my favorites! Friends or lovers, I think they belong together. They are definitely soulmates!

Do you like participating in fan events? I love participating in these events! It's a great opportunity to improve my art and interact with the fandom.

What about your creating process? I have my own little art room, where I hide and listen to some music ( Frightened Rabbit most of the time ) and let my imagination work. I wish my imagination wasn't so lazy sometimes.

Do you interact a lot with other fans? I would love to! But unfortunately the wires that connect my brain to my mouth aren't plugged in properly. I'm just kidding. I have Asperger's along with some limitations like mild Dyslexia. I can sound brusque to some and too slow to others. This makes communication a little difficult sometimes.

Is there any particular piece you'd like to showcase for this post? Well I love this Mermen!    Hel-lo, darling ones! Aki here. Wanted to say some stuff, since I know I’ve been on and off here lately...

   First off, I have quite a few asks for imagines~! Super excited to get to them, but do know it’s been super slow for me, here, on account of a lot of IRL stuff that’s sapped my energy. (We’ll get into that in a moment.)

   Secondly... I wanted to do a far overdo gush post for everyone who follows and interacts with this blog.

   It continuously amazes me how much support this silly little thing gets. We’re nearing 2k followers and... I never thought I’d get these sorta numbers off of, “Do I love Jaal today?! Let’s find out!!” (I’m terrible at consistency, but I think it helps that I knew that ahead of time and opened up fics/headcanons, as well as rb’d art... The community already does so much! Gotta pay it back somehow, right?)

   I’m both delighted and exasperated (in a warm way!!) whenever I see the notifs for this blog blow up. It brings me so, so much joy to see people not only still love ME: Andromeda, but also Jaal and the angara in general! I sincerely hope we’ll someday see more of them...

   Here’s to hoping, what with an upcoming revisit to the Milky Way! (...I can desperately hope, at least.)

   Which leaves... IRL stuff. I’ll put it under the cut, as it’s pretty heavy stuff. [warnings for transphobia, homophobia, mentions of racism, and heavy depression]

   So... As of November of 2020, I left home. Not of my own will; I’m nonbinary, as well as DemiPan, and while my mother sort-of supported me... Her current husband, my stepdad, very much did not. He didn’t know fully what was going on, but he apparently got an inkling when his grandmother told him something was “wrong with me.” (I posted on Facebook about coming out, as well as talking about what each bit of my identity meant. I honestly did it in an attempt to tank familial relationships, as I had an inkling I wasn’t going to receive the support I dearly needed.)

   He’s an incredibly hateful man who- like most- defends this with religion. All others are wrong, bad, and evil. POC are making up stories about what they go through. Trans people have something wrong with them...and he simply does not believe gay people are pure. (So insert the age-old, “sinful gays,” line.)

   I have a boyfriend irl. He was able to make sure I was fed, when they didn’t. Made sure I was safe when I was breaking to pieces. I stayed over at his house for sleep, instead of in my own bed as much as possible. I didn’t see “home” as a place with family; it was wherever my boyfriend was, because I couldn’t stand to be in that hateful house, with a mother who overlooked the behavior right in front of her (because it “wasn’t as bad” as her relationship w/ my dad), and a bunch of children who deserved much better.....and I was terrified to gamble their safety on CPS. (I was made 3rd parent, being the eldest child.)

   So... November, I brought up more issues from stepdad. Mother defended him, basically. (As well as told me- to my face- that singular they/them pronouns don’t make sense. It’s only for plural, isn’t it?) I got super upset and emotional... Made worse by stepdad joining in and saying exactly what I thought he’d say.

   My boyfriend got me after work, I later gathered up my stuff (and then that stuff got stolen from the trunk of his car), and...I left. Never went back to live; only to continue picking up my stuff. We don’t have an apartment yet, and I’m just lucky his dad was okay with me staying with them.

   ...I wish that was the end of it.

   My dad has been a big help making the starting transfer over to adult life, especially as...nowhere I want to work at wants to hire me. But, I do have a phone, thanks to him. And am now able to contact my half-sisters.

   ...The older of the three coming out to me as bisexual (though she admits she might be pan?) and how things have gotten worse. Her dad- stepdad to me- told her to throw away LGBT+ books she bought; she had to sneak them out of the trash after he went to bed. She’s still not eating well. (As I did when I was there.) Her depression is fully apparent; her dad is unsupportive, mom still doing nothing to help, and even her own two sisters have started seeing things his way and don’t like who the older sister is.

   I...can’t do anything to help her aside from be around and it honestly hurts. Because I want to do more for her and I can’t. (I even tried encouraging them- all three kids- to be more open-minded when I was there; showing them SU and She-Ra to try to introduce those thoughts to them, since no one else was going to...)

   So.... Yeah. The explanation of why I haven’t been as active here, alongside of never getting the chance to finish ME: Andromeda for myself. I’ve been horribly burnt out from the pandemic, and then this happened along with it all... It’s been a blow that’s been so hard to recover from.

   And I don’t know how to even begin asking for help, so...I figured I’d write this. If you read this far, thank you so very, very much.

   It’s a lot. I know. I need therapy for all this, but my insurance is gone and idk what that means for me now. I’m trying to figure it out...

   But I guess if I was going to close this off on anything? Please take care of yourselves. Check in with friends, if you can. Try to not bottle up too much. No matter what anyone else says, you’re a lovely person and deserve so many kind, nice things.

Hiatus time. Rant time. Don’t know when I’m coming back, but I’ll check back once in a while for messages. The blog may not be active anymore but the mun absolutely will be.

I might honestly just put my blog on indefinite hiatus. I just got guilted and blocked by someone that wanted a different interaction from me that I didn’t feel like giving, and frankly it’s probably the final straw that broke this camel’s back.

The entire time I’ve been on Tumblr it’s been growing progressively less and less incentivizing to stay and it’s made me very unhappy. It is incredibly cliquey, icons are getting smaller and smaller and squinting hurts my eyes, roleplay posts are getting formatted to the point where it looks like one of those “serial killer letters made of clippings of word-art from magazines barely held together by a stick of glue” and it overwhelms me, blogs are harder to navigate which hinders my need to read and study your guidelines, people are making other people fill out application forms to write with them which creates distance between muns that shouldn’t be there, people are still Highlandering (bullying same-muse blogs by pushing superiority), people are actually giving each other a hard time or guilting each other because they have a preference for canons or original characters or cartoons or live-action, there is no personality or open communication here-- And I mean absolutely no communication, I’ve met THREE autistic people over the past month that see social boundaries blurry whom are all incredibly anxious from writing here because nobody wants to respect their disabilities. Some people here are actually wondering why this roleplaying community isn’t as active as it was 5 years ago. 👈 This. This is why. Literally insert the person-putting-a-stick-in-their-bike-wheel meme here.

This website made me cry too many times and I was in a very bad place emotionally since I started writing late 2012, and it is not getting better here. I gave this site a second chance because I’ve grown up a lot over the past few years and I’ve discovered myself, and I still wanted to create some dope stories with some dope people. I’ve had therapy, still need more, and a lot of my trust issues stem directly from simply being here, and it’s because of this lack of communication and understanding that so few people want to give to each other. Which is ridiculous considering how a lot of people here are more than happy to tag moving pictures and mun selfies with trigger warnings, why can’t we have that same kind of sensitivity towards communication and culture a warm, welcoming, and healthy roleplay environment for everyone? Including autistic people like me? (Seriously, the way the majority of this community handles interacting with autistic people really breaks my heart.)

Why can’t there exist a single place where people can roleplay and not have a laughable or harmful community? Is that even possible?? It seems so easy to do, but so few people will put in the legwork to make it happen. And I’m extremely grateful to know some of these exceptional people. (Seriously, when I’m financially stable, I’m buying you a game on Steam for being so great to me.)

Okay, listen. I cannot figure out why you would send this. What purpose is this supposed to serve? Who are you helping? What is the desired result?

Like, sure I don’t enjoy that ship and I really wish it were less prominent, because it makes so many potentially interesting fics unreadable for me, but it’s far and away the most innocuous of the intra-family ships.

(Followed by either of them with Cass ig since Steph doesn’t strictly count. Or Duke, but like DC deeply failed to integrate him into the family network. Actually is anyone writing Duke/Tim, there’s space to do some fun work there with the idealization-of-and-identification-with-Robin-as-wearable-identity.)

It’s not like anyone is being depicted Committing Sex Crime here, or like there’s an existing familial dynamic to be getting corrupted. Or even a firmly ingrained power dynamic. They’re about three years apart in age and didn’t even meet until their late teens? I don’t like the adopted sibling incest angle even in that context, but I can’t pretend that part is actually inherently hurting either of them, except by complicating things with their support systems and intensifying the baggage.

The reason I find the ship so intolerable is they have so much baggage between them, adopted family very much included, even before you start on shit they’ve actually done to each other, that to jump straight into the premise you have to go either wildly AU or wildly ooc (very frequently both) to sell them having a remotely sane or healthy romance, let alone at all a normal one.

The AU version tends to make them hopelessly boring by flattening every existing element of complexity to avoid Problems and the ooc option both boring and vaguely revolting to my personal sensibilities, because I have issues about people’s characters being warped around the demands of romantic relationships, and especially about the result being treated as positive. Those things on top of the sibling thing is a definite hard no.

...I feel like the only way to get me actually interested in a JayTim premise would actually be to lean in to all that shared baggage and dysfunction, and depict the relationship as a downhill tumble of mutual projection and trying to process their own Robin-related-identity-smear issues and overlapping parent issues using one another, ‘self-recognition through the other (derogatory)’ angry makeouts, and all that unhealthy stuff, made even more fucked up by their canonical existing tangled respect for and resentment of one another.

All that, if well executed, could be really intriguing! And could even potentially sell me on the ‘ship as ultimately positive in the end, because the narrative would at that point have put in the work to make the relationship a vehicle for character development.

As far as I know, though, that is not what the shipping community for these two is looking for at all, ever. And I'm not going to subject myself to a million versions because one of them might be tolerable.

So, I know this is something I dislike! On every level! I avoid it! I have, in fact, ended acquaintanceships with people because they could not consistently remember to respect clearly delineated boundaries about it, because they’d internalized the ship as a baseline norm of batfam fandom. Don’t like that.

But like. What possible purpose could it serve to warn me that someone whose reposted-and-reunited art I reblogged ships this thing? What is that adding to the world? Is this supposed to be helpful to me in some way?

I’m not entering into a longterm or intimate relationship with this person whose name I don’t recall. I’m not interacting with them. I didn’t even reblog a post original to them or directly from their blog. The JayTim ship is not relevant to the art in question, which was a depiction of Jason speaking to Bruce (not pictured).

Even if the artist were a JayBruce shipper and there was some relevance, I’m not clear on what you think you would be accomplishing by informing me there might be secret bad subtext to an art I reblogged!

Like. State your goals here, don’t just end your statement with a 'mouthful of vomit' emoji, which incidentally is somewhat more triggering for some issues I’ve been working on than the JayTim ship itself, because guess what people are complicated.

Is your goal to get me to comb through my blog to remove the post? To go memorize the url so I know to avoid this person in the future? To blacklist them???

What even is rampant in this context anyway. Just. Lacking in restraint? The boundary-disrespecting issue I mentioned before? Just...doing it a lot? Do you mean it in the heraldic sense of ‘standing up on their hindquarters for dramatic effect?’

Be specific. Explain why you are inflicting this subject on me in the correct presumption it’s a subject I like to avoid. Why does that make sense?
