Did a quick Google search to avoid doing work check if Daniel Brühl and James McAvoy have ever done a project together and I found this Vulture article published in 2012...

Never knew James was originally cast to play Daniel Domscheit-Berg in 2013's The Fifth Estate — that would have been the third time he would star in a movie with Benedict Cumberbatch (after Starter for 10 and Atonement). I do know Ron Howard went out of his way to endorse Daniel for the role. If memory serves, he showed a rough cut of Rush as proof.

The movie was panned by critics so James may have dodged a bullet (especially if it was to film X-Men: Days of Future Past — which makes the most sense for the timeline), BUT it was through this project that Daniel and Benedict became good friends. And... I just love that. Their friendship makes so much sense to me. Benedict was apparently the only major celeb at/invited to Daniel's wedding in 2017. In 2022, he also hosted a special screening of All Quiet on the Western Front in London, presumably upon Daniel's request.

p.s. all films mentioned in this post (except the one at the heart of it 😅) are worth checking out. To be fair, it isn't terrible and I don't regret watching it... Daniel and Benedict play off each other really well and Benedict as Julian Assange is particularly impressive... I just wouldn't call it a priority.

Seblaine is my ride or die tbh. Love them BAD. I went to a Darren concert last year, and ugh, my love for that man and the ship solidified even more.

I loved writing for them (ArwenP on ao3, if you want to check it out!) and I definitely want to get back on track. Perhaps do a story for the Christmas thing that's been organized and finish my WIPs before doing something more. Is the week still happening, do you know?

Ideally, I would love to also write for Tevan! I love them so so much. I just need the time and energy lol. I definitely have some ideas I would love to explore, especially one I had a few weeks ago that I haven't seen yet. Fingers crossed that after the craziness of the holidays I can actually write it!

I also feel like opening my inbox to prompts, perhaps? That could be fun!
