Jimmy is friends with the director Tony Palmer. Tony explained how he met Jimmy and Led Zeppelin in this interview:
He's one of the leading directors of music documentaries and historical drama films in the world. He has won over forty international prizes for his work. With over one hundred films to his credit, he's worked with the very best Rock has to offer, including The Beatles, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa.
Q - You actually wrote for this newspaper The Observer?
A - "Yes. I was music critic number two for The Observer from about the beginning of 1967 until about the beginning of 1974. The Observer is one of the two main, quality Sunday newspapers, or it was back then. There's now a third one. But, that was all there was then."
Q - That would have meant that you got to meet a lot of the Pop / Rock stars of the day.
A - "Well, not only that. More by luck than judgment, I think. It did result in me writing the first ever review of Led Zeppelin; the first ever review of Cream; and the first ever review of David Bowie. I mean, just one thing kind of led to another. Cream was because I'd met Eric Clapton when he played with The Yardbirds. I had a friend who was involved in The Yardbirds…one of the roadies I think. So, I'd met Eric and got on rather well with him. I suddenly had a call saying he was putting together this new group and would I like to come and hear them? So I did. I think I went to the first ever gig, which they played in the Brighton Dome as I remember. Now, I was so amazed by them. I was working for The Observer then. I wrote a long article about them absolutely straight-away. Through Eric of course I met Jimmy Page, (laughs) and hence Led Zeppelin. One thing kind of led to another really. But I think it was more by luck than judgment. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. That's Showbiz, as they say."
A project of Tony's -
"All You Need Is Love: The Story of Popular Music is the name of a 17-part television documentary series on the history of modern pop music directed by Tony Palmer, originally broadcast worldwide between 1976 and 1980. "
The series is great overall and you can watch it on Tubi.

AU in which James breaks up with Regulus and to spite him Regulus becomes one of the most well known people in one of James' areas of interest just so James can't enjoy his thing anymore without being confronted with Regulus

I would say that, considering his history, he's not that wrong, but even I have doubts as to whether that would be right. But at the end of the day, this is just a joke that's been in my head for a while, sooooo…eh.
Oh hey, an attempt at a comic? Made by me? That I didn't give up during the process or lost all motivation? What was my only attempt at this, 2019? Damn, it's been a long time.
I thought about leaving this here without editing or any colors, just the natural ones from the paper and pencil. But something in my head said "HAHAHA, no" so I went back to work. I had to put this idea down on paper this time (literally). If another year passes without me being able to execute this idea, I would lose my mind.
This scenario was inspired by this video by Jehtt, inspired by the original meme by Windii. Credits to both of them.
For a long time I wanted to joke - especially on the anniversary - that I wanted Sammy to only have less than 5 seconds in the next game (or in other words, take his screen time in DR, and shorten it even more). You know, just for the funnies (unless..?) But,thanks to the news released at the beginning of January this year about The Cage, I legally can't do this joke anymore…this year. Don't worry, after that comes out (and finally gives Sam the screen time he wants, hopefully) and we start to crawl into the Bendy 3 production era, I'll make this joke when I can.
Anyway, happy birthday Sammy Lawrence. You may not be my favorite character in this franchise, but there are some things I can actually appreciate about you. Plus, you made me laugh a few moments before (you know what I'm talking about) so there's that.
And happy 7 years to Chapter 2, and by extension, Susie, Norman, Alice, the Searchers, (Johnny????), and Beta Ink Bendy. (I would mention Jack too, but he was only introduced with the release of CH4, so technically it's not his birthday yet, but I'll consider him here).
And now? May I be able to do something for CH4's anniversary. Wish me luck, cus I'll need it.
(it might be really late now, but it's still the 18th where I live, so it's still his birthday, so I still won)

it’s not the most popular game out there or anything, but it’s a relief alan wake and other remedy games have fans because if i had to stew in my own thoughts over these games, my brain would explode from the pressure from keeping it all in

Question: why can't Broadway musicals tape their performance and put it up on a platform for rental while the shows still on Broadway?
Obviously you charge a fair price for the rental, make it like 48 hours and cost maybe whatever their general admission ticket costs. Then, after the musical comes off Broadway, you make that original cast recording avaliable to buy permanently (like including downloads) for that general admission ticket price and knock down the rental price.
Now you'd have to either come up with a streaming service or license it out to one which is not ideal, but it would vastly improve the availability of musical theater especially to people who live outside of New England or people who don't have thousands of dollars to drop just to go see a musical. Not to mention it could help make newer musicals more accessible and easily spread, and don't get me started on accessibility especially when it comes to physical disabilities that would disallow travel or actually seeing a musical in person. This would also allow people to see the musical and then maybe go watch it in person, which increases revenue.
It also allows a continuous revenue stream for the creative team and possibly actors (depending on how contracts are structured), particularly in cases of musicals with specific historical or literary settings that could be used in classrooms (think Hamilton, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, the upcoming The Outsiders, or like every Shakespear play ever). Or even if a musical is really popular and gets a cult following like 30 years later, it would be available in a watchable format and not just as a soundtrack. Plus it'd get rid of people going to musicals for the sole purpose of uploading a slime tutorial.

been thinking about stage musical poll that only had musicals from the last decade so I decided to make my own with broader categories! If a musical fits into multiple categories, pick the one that you think fits best!
Full disclosure I know these categories are wack in their distribution and missing a lot, but we’re all just here to have a good time 😎

Thanks for the tag, lea! @imperpetuallylost
rules: list your top 5 albums from your top 5 artists (can't have a repeat of the same artist) on a poll, so your followers can vote which album they think captures your vibe the best.

The way people are responding to Taylor Swift's new album because they don't think she is tortured or mentally ill enough to call it that is fucking embarrassing.
God forbid an artist ever exaggerates for artistic purpose. God forbid a celebrity writes about pain or suffering if they haven't experienced the maximum amount of trauma in their life.
I mean, everyone knows the moment you become a celebrity all your human experience disappears and you elevate to a new level of existence where you cannot have relatable experiences anymore for the rest of your life.

I failed at getting into les mis several times already do you have instead of it an enjorlas grantiare fic to reccomend for me to spend my time sending into my brain instead
yeah so i always recommend world ain't ready for ppl getting into it—it's the most kudos'd les mis fic on ao3 and it's like. shockingly good. you'd never expect a romcom about american high schoolers on ao3 that happens to be about les mis characters (which, like, it definitely is—the characterization is a really accurate interpretation of these characters as high schoolers in 2006 imo, but it's far enough removed from the source material that it's easy to get into even if you don't know the original story) to be this good.
i also like to recommend into the light, which is much shorter, and also possibly the only exr fic i've read that's completely canon-compliant? it's about them as ghosts spending decades together after they die. also how does it have <100 kudos what's going on there.
you can also look through my ao3 bookmarks, which isn't every fic i've enjoyed, but it's a list of everything i think was exceptionally good or really gets at some important concept or just stuck with me in some way. obviously heed the ratings and archive warnings here, some of them get really dark or explicit. and ofc i can recommend specific ones if you want! the thing is that i definitely tend to prefer canon era stuff but that's harder to get into if you're not already into les mis/exr
