Something I adore about this saga is how the songs all end with such powerful and forceful singing. It almost feels like Odysseus is trying to drown out the screams he hears by being louder with his own pain and convictions

The role reversal between Eurylochus and Odysseus from Puppeteer to Mutiny though…

Eurylochus initially wanting to leave the crew behind while Odysseus refuses to, and now Odysseus choosing to sacrifice crew members and this being the last straw for Eurylochus.

Thinking from Eurylochus’s perspective, I wonder if he felt guilty for not trusting Odysseus after opening the bag in Luck Runs Out, and when Odysseus succeeded in saving the crew on Circe’s island, had his faith fully restored and began to trust Odysseus fully once again… only to have it broken with the sacrifices in Scylla.
