today me and my wife were out and about and while we were sitting down drinking some coffee I looked up and saw a family of three- two parents and a child- walking through the area all wearing the exact same shirt:

it was the exact same shirt, two adult sizes and a tiny baby one for the, like, four year old kid they were carrying

so I turned to my wife and pointed them out, because 1. it was really cute and mostly 2. I was wearing this

so we laugh and then i see one of the parents make eye contact, and i impulsively point at my shirt and then theirs and flash a thumbs up

at first I worried that I was being weird but they immediately turn to their spouse to say something, then point at me and they both start excitedly getting the kids attention on me. they nudge and coerce him and point at me and my shirt, smiling, but the child is too distracted by everything else in the room to notice our matching fit

eventually the parents look back at me and call out "its his favorite shirt, so we all got them to wear together" and I respond, "cool shirt, dude!" and they carry on with their day. ive never felt a stronger sense of community with complete randos and I will love them forever

I had an idea for a one-off Rise episode plot and just wanted to quickly sketch up some visuals for it.

The plot goes as follows: Donnie attempts to invent a cloning machine and, due to some kind of science-y mishap, ends up cloning himself...a lot. But there's a catch to this - the clones aren't exact copies of Donnie, they each possess just ONE of the various facets of his personality (i.e. brainy, broody, sarcastic, passionate, dramatic, mischievous, etc.) and a small portion of his mystic powers. Don tries his darnedest to keep the whole situation under wraps while he searches for a way to fix it, but some of the more rambunctious Donnies quickly escape and begin stirring up trouble in the Lair, so it doesn't stay a secret for very long. To make matters worse - the real Donnie starts to slowly disappear (something having to do with his existence being divided among the Donnies or blahblahblah fake science explanation). So, while he and the scientist Donnies continue to look for a way to reverse the cloning effect, his brothers and Co. set to work gathering up all the other Donnies so they can put them back where they belong and keep Donnie Prime™ from vanishing.

Hilarity, wholesomeness (and some mild angst) ensues.

(Note: I meant to include April in that second-to-last image, but ran out of room. Just know that she, Splinter, and probably Casey Jr. are all there, as well.)

Ideas and feedback welcome.#The core idea behind this AU is that LWJ goes to study with the Yunmeng Jiang sect instead of JC and WWX going to Cloud Recess #But why? Well I imagine Lan Xichen set it up to give LWJ a challenge (more social than skill based) and LWJ rose to it (begrudgingly)#Sort of a 'You've mastered so many Lan techniques but Other Sects have styles that are worth learning.' set up.#Lan Qiren agrees mostly on the basis that...well it's LWJ. Yunmeng Jiang is unruly but LWJ is beyond that riff-raff. He'll rise above it.#This is the story of a boy who thrives on routine and rules spending time in a place that is his apparent antithesis.#Also it is so warm there. He is used to it being cold and what do you MEAN just take off some of my layers?#I just want to see him struggle and flail in many situations. And get him in Jiang Purple.
