#maybe its because its been fuck knows how many years since i watched 90% of c1 #but i actually find the way they're changing things up super fascinating #i have questions to be sure and i think they're all having so much fun watching people go THEY'RE NOT GONNA PERMAKILL PERCY ??#(they're obviously not going to leave percy dead)#but because so many things have been folded on top of each other to keep the pace in this several hundred hour campaign adaptation #idk! i just think it's neat! obviously we're not done with ripley yet so we'll see what happens there #also people being like “i didnt need a sad backstory for ripley” like that wasn't the most obvious vehicle to introduce the assembly #a lot of these scenes they're adding in or folding together are doing a LOT of work #the storytelling action economy is honestly astounding #like don't get me wrong i get why people are weirded out by it (i am too! It's strange!) No, seriously. Mephiles boss fight was so dang fun for me??? Legit the first stage I want to S-rank asap.

I never liked the Doom Morph skill. While Dash and Flying are easy to do because you just have to hold the Y button for the both of them, you have to press the B button for Homing Attack BUT hold the B button for swinging around with the Doom Morph skill. My brain cannot compute with the different button input! I often lost a lot of times and rings because I forgot to hold the button to swing, causing me to fell to my death.

CASE IN POINT:

Yeaaa...platformer games are not my strong suit...

However, in Mephiles boss fight, you won't fall to your death because the area is wide and circular. The cumbersome Doom Morph gimmick was enjoyable to play there and I was grinning from ear to ear from start to finish.

Ugh, I love this boss fight so much. If Mephiles had to come back and ruin the world just so I could fight such a fun boss battle once again, I would welcome him lickety split XD

just all of this from moa regarding frank/hazel/leo. the most uncomfortable romantic tension ever because nobody understands it and nobody involved wants it to be there

especially "Hazel's eyes glittered like gold. 'Gold is easy,' she said. It didn't seem that way to Leo--not when he looked at her." like we can interpret this in a few ways. what an interesting thing to think about a girl you just met

and the whole "if this is a private special thing that she's only done with her boyfriend then I either really don't want to try it or I really really do want to try it" like STOP cut the cameras

#also he's only riding with one arm around her??? on ARION?? bro relax 😭#a frank pov would have been so entertaining here like god I would have loved to see exactly what their loud argument looked like #leo is explicitly attracted to hazel but his romantic feelings are explicitly ambiguous. like he really doesn't know what's going on #he clearly feels Something. but what is it. mostly infatuation imo. he's a teenage boy with feelings that he doesn't want #towards a girl who doesn't want him like that. idk it's just kind of sad and relatable if you've ever been in a similar position #(this is where I remind everyone that hazel is 14 in hoo not 13. closer to being 15 than 14 really. frank and leo are not weirdos)#I love the detail about big bro percy being protective towards hazel even tho it sucks for leo 😔 poor guy #anyways this would have been more interesting if frazel were more slow-paced and didn't get together until hoh or something #like hazel is 100% off the table in this situation so the tension (and the resolution to it) feels kind of meaningless and inconsequential #frank is hazel's anchor to the present and leo represents her lingering inner conflict regarding sammy and her past #choosing between the two (present/past) would have been more thematically significant #but that doesn't really happen because she's already fully committed to frank so the choice is already made #one of the big questions you can ask about moa is “ok so what was the point of the whole sammy thing” and doing ^ something like this #would have helped imo. but everyone that isn't me hates love triangles so yk. probably I'm the only one who would have enjoyed that #or like all three of them should have kissed each other. in my head they did actually #the audience is gonna boo me for this but while I understand why leo and hazel were both weirded out by the sammy revelation #from a reader's pov I'm just like Ok but come on is it really that much weirder than being a demigod and dating your cousins #hazel levesque #frank zhang #leo valdez #pjo hoo toa #percy jackson #piper mclean #frazel #heroes of olympus #riordanverse #pjo #frazeleo #percy jackson and the olympians

That's very subjective!

For me personally, I'm totally fine with how it's played out. We get enough tidbits every season/developments with their dynamic that I'm pretty content. I also just think that when the time comes, how they choose to reveal that information to us (and especially to MK) will have optimal impact!

He could totally have not known about MK. But I still wanna learn more about why he wanted a student in the first place)#There are so many directions next season could go #But the direction I hope for most is really continuing 5x04 stuff #Like idk I personally feel like we didn't fully unpack Monkey MK. In certain aspects anyhow #And it's like omg 2 seasons later and we finally resolved the to pain scene!!!#But we haven't really resolved like. ''Hurting the people who care about you the most'' aspect of it. The 3x10 and 4x08 parallel #So like the hurting each other angle. TWO of them? im in.#The pacing is a bit weird - the first half could honestly be a contained novella. the second half is a bit all over the place #But I’m ultimately glad to have that extra more complex part of the story #it’s like very action packed with a few dense moments especially like the infodumps about what Lina / her mother’s deal is.#which kinda makes sense on a technical level (Moku learning this all at once) but also I definitely felt a bit confused at why/how some of #the stuff that was going on was happening #I did also find every now and then weirdly worded prose took me out of it? but I can look past that #I felt the side romance was random and weird. I felt like it did a disservice to her otherwise complex character to have her just forget #her goals and values because Hot Man?#idk. it’s lampshaded a bit by being viewed through the POV who also thinks it is weird and makes no sense #but they still get together again in the end…. I would have preferred if they didn’t.#that's mostly complaints LOL but the world is so rich and interesting and i love robots that are little shits (affectionate)#queer books

i hate to jump on the "i think i might have adhd" bandwagon, but if i think i might have adhd, how do i bring it up to my care team as a 28-year-old cis woman who was a massive overachiever until i couldn't keep up the ruse anymore?

#idk what happened when i got laid off it seriously is like my brain BROKE i cannot do anything #i have not done much of anything in a year. and i think it's bc my coping mechanisms were 1. self-medicate but ESPECIALLY do that while #2. overcommitting. because it kept me busy and distracted. i excelled in school because i could focus on it without it giving me anxiety #school was honestly almost the only thing that didn't give me anxiety as a kid. and i never felt quite Right like i didn't feel like i fit #in with my peers. i've always felt like a human being that isn't a person. like something's not quite right. i excel but i feel like i'm #doing it wrong because it's SO hard for me. i graduated my BA and BS programs with a 4.0 #but it came with the cost of alienating all of my friends and family and becoming really reclusive and weird and distant and anxious #but i really just wanted to do well at the one thing i felt i was good at. which doesn't seem like something i should take note of #idk. my life feels like a claustrophobic box. i feel like i'm buried alive and i can't get myself out because i can't work #because i can't focus. but maybe i'm just stupid and lazy and want everyone to take care of me forever so i can continue laying around doin #fuck all. which i do a lot because i'm chronically ill. idk. like is there ground to stand on here. i literally have zero friends rn #and i feel so so so sos so anxious any time i am working because i worry i'm going to do something wrong or forget to do something or make #lots of mistakes that get me in trouble. i'm so scared of making mistakes it keeps me from doing anything at all. but i get so anxious bc #i'm not doing anything! i'm wasting time! and i can't focus on anything when i AM working because i have to get up and pace #like i HAVE to move around or i start to feel like i need to peel my skin off like i'm an orange #like. is it anything at all. or is this just me being someone who has Other Stuff going on
