A resquest asqued me to draw an scene from my au, but Shadow by the linvinstone started playing and what was going to be a wholesome drawing ended up making me go "hehehehe s3 assistant au"
ANYWAYS, I will still draw the other scenes but, I will take this chance to talk more about the "Shackled/ Assitant AU" A bit More.
Basically, at its core, the Assistant AU is "What if Wukong was trully not at fault?" "What if neither party is actually to blame?"
The events that lead to the fight of the Jade Emperor are extensive, and Wukong trully beliefs in Azures plitgh for freedom. But make no mystake, the reason she stands in front of the Jade Emperor had to much to do with the chains placed on the one she loved the most.
Wukong gives everything for Macaque. Her crown, her kingdom, their future, and her freedom. Macaque wont stand idle to her imprissioment. And if that means giving everything she has, everything she is... Then so be it.
It ends up Playing as LMK but MK and the gang only meet Macaque when LBD gets her out of her cage to chase them... More on this later 😌.
Also, lowkey this Au was made rearrenging Epic the musical songs and changing the lyrics for my agenda. Idk how to share the changed lyrics but here is the playlist if you want to reck your head with the order:
So question, do you guys prefer the name Assistant or Shakled? because at this point idk which one to use. And... I might have decided to divide it in 3 parts. 1) A fic I will post hopefully this week for the brotherhood era. 2) JTTW Era that is Ideally animatics but I doubt I have the time but this era is what most of the playlist is about. And 3) Modern Era which is mostly panel comics in my drafts.....
Would you guys like to see it this way? I cant promise anything for animatics tho, not rn. So JTTW era will remain ellusive unles you crack the playlist.

I finally drew LMK wukong... while also making him yandere because uh.. i like yanderes, we need more yan!Wukong content pls 🙏🥹 anyway Heres my rendition of what yandere lmk sun wukong would be like.. maybe ooc, ive only watched season 1...
Also not proofread— At ALL
⋆˙⟡ — Cw : Yandere, Dub-con, ooc lmk Wukong?, art is wukong x oc but writing is Wukong x reader, not proofread.
I imagine Yan!Wukong to be the type who taunts you about his past actions, how feral and rebellious he was, able to defeat the entire heavenly army and scared the Jade emperor out of his wits just for existing in flower fruit mountain. This only happens when you disobey him ofc, you left the cabin? Denied his wants to feed you himself? Maybe its time to remind you who he is
" See how i was back then? I was a Savage, untamed even if i had that stupid crown around my head. You wouldn't want me to be like that now do you, Peaches? "
He's a sweetheart, Patience and Virtue is a thing he learned the most during his years of living. Yet, unpredictability is also his nature. Especially as a monkey king. There are times when he would tolerate you acting bratty, a bit Defiant is all fun, but when the day comes where he's fought too many Yaoguais, Demons, and Alike. All he wants is your comforting touch soothing him of his worries. The last thing he needs is your uncooperative attitude.
" Peaches... im not in the mood for this. Eat the food. Now. Ive been kind to you. It's either you eat the food or ill get rough."
Wukong is canonically someone who hasnt experienced any romantic nor sexual attraction, the moment he does. He doesn't have a clue on what to do. All he can think of is being in his monkey nature, which includes being possessive, territorial, dominating, and providing you with nutrients. He doesn't trust others enough to help him with his feelings, barely have the guts to ask Bajie if you're in a bad mood. He prefers to wait for others to give him advice (not that he'll take to account).
"MK doesn't know anything, he's a kid! He doesn't understand love like i do... like us adults do. Im doing this to PROTECT you, peaches!"
There might be times where he'll be more touchy than usual, conditioning you to feel comfort and used to his physical affection. Wukong is nothing but patient, he knows how to pavlov you into feeling relaxed once you feel his hands. You'll notice his punishments ranged from letting him groom you, mark you and finally letting him eat you out.
The euphoric bliss whenever he touches you or caught a whiff of your scent is tantalizing, Due to this, he prefers to be the one to serve you rather than you serving him. A king needs his Queen to bleed his heart into, not a concubine who perfoms.
" ah, ah ah~ Remember what i said? You either let me groom your pretty head or i might change things up a little..."
Wukong who gloats about the ring around your finger, making sure everyone. Even the heavens. Know, who you belong to. Theres no such thing as divine intervention, HE willed this fate, HE knit the red threads of fate till it spells your name. Theres an endless amount of love flowing through his heart for you, it seeps through timelines and past reincarnations. Even if your current life is done in this world, he'll continue on finding you. Binding you with him, gripping your heart so close till it beats in harmony with his. He'll make sure to leave an imprint of himself in your soul, even your future consorts needs to know him in order to understand you.
While you came from another world, your own destiny is temporary in his. Wukong will fight tooth and nails to defy the stars just to have you as his permanently. He'll create his own thread. His own happy ending with you.
And if theres anyone who dares to leak the rough details about your hostage love life... hes not known as the god of trickster for nothing
" if the moon and stars are reflection of the past, would they know how many lifetimes have i been loving you before our souls reconciled in this one?
Because i couldn't possibly have just learned to love you this much, all in this single lifetime"

Okay May I request Lego monkey kid Wukong and Macaque with minor deity Reader? Reader lives in a garden and was isolated for so long she genuinely forgot what the outside world was like at times. (Cause humans were getting greedy and they been emotionally and physically hurt at times). Reader values connect so deeply and the garden is hidden by a talisman and guarded by her pet aka giant monster. Headcanons pls and apologies if it too much. I love your work. You can do Black myth Wukong too if you want
Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes,
And nobody knows like me.
(Lego Monkie Kid head-canons,
Black myth: Wukong head-canons.)

Author note: hello!, thank you so much for your request!, I hope you enjoy. Thank you for requesting!. ♡´・ᴗ・`♡
Just to reiterate, English isn’t exactly my first language so I apologize for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
★ ✵ ★
Lego Monkie Kid:
☀︎Wukong☀︎︎
Loves visiting frequently!, especially when your peaches are in season if your garden homes them.
This is a little head-canon of mine, but he knows how to make flower crowns. He use to make many when he was younger for the other young monkeys.
He always picks the ones he deems prettiest for you.
Depending on if he met you when he was younger (during Journey to the west) or older (during the time of him mentoring MK), he use to love playing hide and seek in the lush trees and bushes. But now older, he loves taking naps under the shade the beautiful trees provide.
Shoo’s off any demons or humans wondering too close to your garden for his liking. Especially after hearing what happened in the past for you to disconnect yourself from the outside.
He knows you have a guard animal but he still does his part as a boyfriend, after all he doesn’t want you to go through unnecessary stress.
Loves your guard animal!, though, the few first times of visiting your garden he either had to trick it or you had order them to stand down.
Once him and your guard animal are more acquainted he loves messing around with them, or feeding them treats. He knows their supposed to be scary and all but he just can’t help it!. Also does that thing where one person is the owner and the other isn’t and sees who the animal chooses first.
If you ever do wish to go outside, he’ll be right there to help you, and lead you to wherever you desire to go.
He loves watching you maintain the garden, he usually hangs up on a tree munching away at whatever fruit is nearest as he watches you water the flowers and crops with such care.
Brings you gifts from the outside as frequently as he can, and if your interested he’ll catch you up on the latest news.
Sometimes he manages to bring two steaming bowls of noodles from pigsy’s to you.
He loves admiring you as you relax on the soft grass, and the sun bathing you softly with its light, you look un-real to him.
Sometimes, when it’s a particularly hard day, he enjoys hiding away in your garden as well. Cuddling up next to you for comfort as you both lounge around the garden.
He doesn’t mind quite moment’s, when it’s so silent you can hear the grass shift with the soft wind, or hear the leaves rattle. How could he?, with you sitting there looking off so peacefully, and him looking at you so happily.
You are his version of your garden, a safe place, and home that no one can intrude upon.
★ ✧ ★
☾Macaque☾
He teleports over frequently when he feel’s overwhelmed with the noise of the outside world.
Because all he can hear is your sweet voice and the comforting sounds of the nature your garden nurtures.
He loves sneaking up behind you from the shadows of the trees. He loves the reactions he gets from it!.
Keeps his distance from your guard animal, but warms up to it eventually!.
Loves visiting at night and seeing the moon light bathe the place with its soft light.
He adore the tranquility of it all, it feels like time slows when he’s there with you. His fast paced days now coming to a slow stop when he’s laying in your arms and watching the flowers dance and sway side to side from the soft blow of wind.
Uses his shadow clones to help around the place if you ever need extra hands.
Has memorized every plant and flower you grow in your garden, but doesn’t stop you from spilling facts about them.
Mk sometimes wonder where he lounge around at when he’s not with the group. Of course, a good guess is his dojang (I believe that is what his home is called apologizes if it’s not!) but in reality he’s resting with you on flower beds.
Never mentions your garden to the crew unless you give the go ahead, but even then he tip toes over the subject, knowing your past experiences.
Puts on shadow plays for you on a particularly uneventful day. He likes seeing the smile that graces your face everytime.
His ears always picks up someone approaching your garden before your guard animal does so he’s quick to alert them.
He adores you, he truly does believe that your as beautiful as your garden, the center piece. He doesn’t understand the good karma he has received to meet you but he’s so greatful.
☀︎ ☁︎ ☀︎︎
Black myth: wukong
Bajie probably stumbled upon your guard animal and Wukong had to jump in.
Paranoid of leading enemy’s to your garden, not that he isn’t assured in himself that he can beat it. But he’d rather you not be stressed out or worry about it.
This doesn’t stop him form pranking you from time to time by transforming to a bug and buzzing around annoyingly. Prepare to have your patients tested by him.
If you have a big enough tree, he probably climbs and chills out in the branches.
Sometimes pulls you up with him and lets you rest and balance on him. He counts this as rest and bonding time.
Absentmindedly picks a flower and places it in your hair in the middle of a conversation.
On cold months, depending on how your garden on works, he either brings the finest cloths and blankets to you. Or if your garden is magically frozen in a spring or summer season then he spends the whole winter season with you, so good luck with that.
Although not one to be picky with fruits, he just prefers the one from your garden the most. To him they taste richer, and juicer.
When a certain fruit is growing on a tree and it’s time for them to be picked, he always picks you up and lets you rest on his shoulder so you can reach them easier. Could he just pick them himself?, yes, but how could he pass an opportunity to show his strength to you.
If you ever wish to venture out of your garden, he’d greatly recommend his mountain as its already protected from demons. He’d happily feel you cling onto him as he flys you over in his nimbus cloud.
On his way to visit your garden sometimes he does see people or demons lingering too close for his comfort. He easily scares them or defeats them before your guard animal encounters them.
Speaking of your guard animal, he’d be pretty neutral about it, he’s glad that he can keep some sort of peace of mind when he’s away from you knowing your under protection. But at the same time not very interested in it. Maybe annoys it from here to there when it’s off duty but aside from that let’s it do it’s job, knowing how important it is.
Brings you some souvenirs, ranging from gold incrusted bracelets and necklaces. To flower’s you may not have in your garden that he thinks you’d enjoy!.
You have on multiple occasions, almost ran out of peaches due to his rapid consumption of them. It’s almost concerning watching him be able to stomach all of them in one sitting.
He likes the peacefulness you and your garden bring him, like as if nothing was wrong, the world is silent and inhabited by only you two. He gets agitated when this peace is disturbed by intruding strangers. And although he has learnt the virtue of patience’s, he can’t help but take offense on your behalf for the intrusion. He likes the thought of you and your garden being only something he gets to indulge in. Your to much of a lovely sight for mere demons and humans to admire.
❁ ☀︎︎ ❁
Thank you so much for the request!, i hope you enjoyed it!.

///LMK SEASON 5 EP 9 SPOILERS
Tw: su*cide
The crown was something used so wukong wouldn't kill/hurt others
and now it was used so he wouldn't kill himself

Mk and wukong are both extremely selfless when it comes to their lives they'll throw it to each other and everyone else

"Thank you for coming back"
"I don't want to lose you mk"

Those words meant so much to mk he must have felt guilty about backing out on his sacrifice so having wukong thank him for it must have removed alot of weight on his shoulders

Eclipse Kings
Part Four: Sweet Little Star
(Part One: Mountain Monkeys) (Part Two: Barbed Dusk) (Part Three: Wild Dawn) (Part Four: You Are Here) (Part Five: Constellations)
(Extra One) (Art! Thank you to @lemon-ti)
(The “servants” around this lovely ecliptic pagoda are well-tailored to the needs of their lords, no matter the scenario- including hot meals and tension breakers.
You are the only sanctuary that MK has ever known. Through blistering summers spent as the shores of a rippling blue lake, through winters spent huddled together under a stack of blankets, hidden in a hole of straw-lined mud to try and avoid withering chills.
You are all the “home” that MK knows.
But the two demons who call him are certainly trying their damnedest to make up for lost time… to very little avail.
“Since we found you so late yesterday, we never got a chance to celebrate your birthday, Xiaotian... we can-
“Yesterday wasn’t my birthday,” the boy huffs, fingers deeply kneading the thick cotton trim of his new cape. “That’s not until winter.”
“…Xiaotian,” Macaque says, almost astonished at how confidently incorrect his son was, “you were born in the middle of autumn - who told you that it was winter?”
“Y/N.”
“…ah. No, that- okay,” he huffs, pinching the growing knot on his scarifying forehead- without the crown, his usual gouges were quickly healing - as he quickly pieced things together. “They didn’t know your birthday, so… so they just made that up. You were too little to remember the day, so Y/N lied-“
“Nuh uh! They wouldn’t lie to me !”
“…my bad, kid. Of course not. No, you were too little to remember, so Y/N just… pretended to know so you could celebrate. But your real birthday is in the middle of fall- it was yesterday.”
“No, cause it’s in the winter!”
Wukong laughs as his sable mate sits beside him, nestling into the plush cushions and groaning.
“Easy, moonbeam. Don’t push yourself- he’s still a toddler. We’ll get through to him.”
“I’d rather him just remember us and everything we did together,” Macaque snaps back throwing his head into Wukong’s lap- who, for his part, begins to smooth out the inky tresses of fur laid out before him. They stay there for a minute, quietly enjoying each other’s company, and then-
All of Macaque’s ears stiffen, six sharp points flaring up under his fur, which Wukong fluffs to hide them from sight. As much as he loves them, his mate’s feelings are very dissimilar.
He looks over with both hands over Macaque’s ears, looking to the marble doorway-
And it’s just you , wearing “your” lovely sky-blue hanfu, sash shoddily tied and silk pouch held close.
The umbrakinetic demon stands up without a noise, slowly walking over to you for a closer examination- he had heard about your little fit, and didn’t want a repeat for himself.
“It suits you,” Macaque says, giving an approving look to your new outfit- he reaches for the sash, maybe to correct or tighten it, but pulls away when you flinch, simply saying: “You can keep it. If you want.”
Be polite. You want this outfit. And you want the pouch. Be polite.
“…thank you. And.. were you… talking about his birthday?”
The king rolls his shoulders to stretch them, causing the thick spikes of fur on his head to swish and temporarily dip over his many, many forehead scars- they’re a lot more obvious now that he’s smashed the barbed circlet and scrubbed the dried blood from his forehead. “We were. Xiaotian didn’t know that it was in the middle of autumn. I hear the two of you celebrated it in winter.”
“Well, most of the time- it was just whenever snow fell for the first time in the year- I… I really didn’t have… I didn’t have too much to work with. So it was… usually in winter, or really late fall, one time we got really unlucky and it was mid-spring.”
“…what do you mean, ‘unlucky’?” Asks the Monkey King, standing up from his lavish recliner to replace all his accessories, each string of citrine beads and looping gold chains clinking against each other as he threaded them back into place. “I don’t remember ever hearing the mortals talk about a bad snow during spring- not anytime this century, at least.”
“It wasn’t bad- not for anyone else. We- MK and I,” you start, trying to ignore their little twitches at you using his nickname, “we lived in a little sunken hut. It was always falling apart in place, and- and I had to patch it up all the time- so snow was always really hard, cause it would make the mud I used all wet, and it’d drip from the holes-“
“You were using mud to keep your house together?”
Both of them share the same look, worriedly gazing upon little MK with a sort of regretful hindsight, thinking on how hard it must’ve been for him to reside in that squalid, rotted hovel- though Wukong is the one who speaks up. “So you- you and Xiaotian were living in a little muddy wreck?”
Macaque- you can’t read his expression, not quite, stares on with a deeply set frown- if you had to wager a guess, he seems to be some form of vaguely disappointed . Maybe that’s standard for kings when they hear about things like this. You don’t really care what he thinks- not when MK was fed, warm, and happy.
That was enough for you.
If they wanted to pull back and say it wasn’t enough for them, then- oh well.
But that’s not what happens. There is no remand or reproach, nor any discouraging words as to your care of their darling boy.
They just frown, thinking of what you- and more importantly, MK - might have gone through.
And you frown too, caught in a tense silence louder than any storm, more charged than a bolt of lightning forming in graying skies.
It’s simply… too much. There’s been too much everything across too little a timeline to accommodate for proper adjustment, so now everything has wound to a point of near shattering, fractures displayed so prominently across the terse “bond” shared that they were nearly visible to the naked eye.
And it isn’t for a solitary second that the quiet stretches on, heavy and suffocating- it’s pervasive, leaving you all standing there quietly.
You can feel their eyes on you, assessing, judging—not just your words but the years you spent with MK, the choices you made when you had nothing to work with but scraps and hope. They’ve swooped in now, claiming- reclaiming, as the nagging voice in your head reminds - him as theirs, and though you know he’s safer here, better provided for, the thought leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.
He had been fine without them.
He had been fine with you.
Why couldn’t it have just kept being you and- not your “temporary charge” Qi Xiaotian, Golden Star of Flower Fruit Mountain- but your little brother, MK?
Life had been miserably hard. It had been cold and drudging and dreary, and more than once you had come to one of the many peering peaks across the mountain, and sat on the idea of a quick end to the struggling.
And you had met your little “Monkie Kid”, just as cold and alone as you had been.
He had not just been your little brother-
He had been your entire reason for living.
And what did you have to live for now, with two people who could grant him ever luxury and possession a child could desire?
What did you have to live for?
Was there anything you-
“Excuse me,” calls a curt voice from behind, slicing the tension with practiced, professional ease. “We’ve prepared dinner for you, my lords.”
Like a metal door long unopened, there’s a hesitant, straining moment before the inevitable give , and then you all turn to look- at a very lovely woman. Her hair has been trimmed chin-short and styled into thick black waves, pulled to each side of her face to prominently display a golden ferronnière.
“My husband and I have finished cooking, and we wished to call you in before the meal grew cold,” she says, utterly unabated by the gone-cold atmosphere. “So we insist that you come and eat soon- preferably, right now. ”
There is no rolling of heads or smashing of bones arisen from the terse almost-command, and instead the Monkey King nods along with a chuckle and a laugh half-forced. “Of course, of course. Sorry for forgetting-“
“If you were truly sorry, you’d be in the kitchen eating all of our hard work.”
“Ahahaha! Fair enough! Moonbeam, let’s go have dinner. We can talk about celebrations tonight, together- when it’s quieter.”
Without you around to interject, of course.
Because why would anyone care about how long you spent in a crumbling shack held half-together with scraps of scrounged fabric and dried mud when you offered inconvenient things like “makeshift birthdays” and “learned attachments”?
Before your thoughts get too seething, the woman lightly claps her hands, snapping you and MK to attention.
“Since the two of you have… “lived a life of little substance”, let’s say, we’ve prepared a list of softer meals to help you both adjust to proper eating as quickly as possible- in about the course of a week. Sudden indulgence to richer foods could sicken you both- especially Lord Xiaotian. Today we’ve made a honeyed rice porridge with ripe tropical fruit, but I imagine you’ll also see fortified broth with bouillon powder, and… well, we’d be here all day if I laid them all out.
As the woman sends you and your brother down a hall together, before turning back to her eployers.
“And,” she whispers to the two kings, voice nearly low enough for you miss it, “ we’ve set aside some fruit purée and steamed milk with honey, if nothing else will work.”
“You are such a gem,” Macaque breathes, expressly pleased with her loyal diligence. “Now, if you’ll excuse me-“
“Your children are waiting,” she confirms, nudging him along. “Hurry and eat with them-“
And though he starts to correct her, to clarify that you are in fact not his child- the woman is gone in a swish of her long green dress.
You keep your head down, one hand gripping all of MK’s tiny fingers during your unflinching trek down the ornate hall. There’s hand-drawn pictures of many different demons, all portrayed with respect and pride. In one a purple minotaur holds an axe over his shoulder, horns and blade polished to a shine, in the next he’s standing beside a red-robed woman, tears brimming through his amber eyes as they focus on a small bundle in her arms. In another there’s a pachyderm demon, portrayed with thick glasses and a gargantuan stack of books- including one he must’ve been working on when the picture was drawn. The next is a bird with golden wings held aloft, spear dug into a training dummy made of stone. Then a lion, holding as many mortals possible aloft while trudging in waist-deep waters. One after another, demon after demon- though only those same four, aside from the woman.
Whoever they are, the kings clearly cherish them.
And said demons walk in unison just backwind of you, though their steps lack the carefree rhythm of easygoing camaraderie. They are just in steady lockstep, too close behind for comfort. You can hear the faint clinking of Wukong’s gold chains and the occasional rustle of Macaque’s red and black robe as they exchange glances, silent communication passing between them.
And then MK squeezes your fingers at tightly as his little fingers allow- a familiar gesture you’ve known through harsh nights and sluggish days, through famine and sickness and chill.
An anchor of reassurance in the overwhelming storm of unfamiliarity.
The shift you underwent was violent and painful. You had woken up half-paralyzed and nude, being scrubbed down by the two beings you feared most, incapable of speaking or moving- it had left a not-insignificant mark.
But MK?
MK had made a choice. He had chosen to come back, you were sure of it, sure that he had made a deal for your safety and retrieval alongside his own- of course he was going to adjust better than you.
But he was still a little boy.
A little boy who had spent his life in the hollow embrace of mud walls and patchwork blankets, in the firm grip of your scarred arms. This was a kingdom of excess, a world so vast and strange that it overwhelmed just as much as it comforted. He looks up to you, his tiny thumb fiddling with your knuckles, and you know what is being asked.
Are you staying?
You squeeze his hand back.
Always.
Neither of you is exactly cozy , but the air between you feels warmer for that little exchange, the newfound fuzziness lasting until the tall and gilded arc of a lavish dining room stands before the two of you, beckoning in.
Inside, the dining room gleams with you might bitterly call opulence . The long table stretches nearly half the length of the room, carved from a dark wood polished to a mirror’s finish. Gold filigree edges the surface, intertwining in swirling patterns that catch the warm glow of the lanterns overhead. The chairs are high-backed and cushioned, draped in fine fabrics with purple and gold-threaded embroidery. The centerpiece is a grand arrangement of flowers- peach blossoms and chrysanthemums interspersed with glowing lotuses.
The sheer decadence is suffocating .
MK gasps loudly at the sight, his wide eyes reflecting the glittering splendor. You squeeze his hand again, grounding him, grounding yourself. The boy looks up at you, half in wonder, half in unease. You feel it too- the crushing weight of not belonging. This isn’t your world. Not really. Not ever.
Not yet.
A man; dressed as elegantly as the woman that you presume to be his wife, is stocking the table with loaded plates. Not a drop spills onto his gold-lined white tangzhuang, no matter how much he moves.
“It’s an honor to be serving you again, Lord Xiaotian. And an honor to serve his savior, dear child.
He pushes up the bridge of his circular glasses, causing a sharp gleam to roll over them before coming over to usher you both in.
“Now, please- take your seats.”
There’s two chairs set aside specifically, both piled with stiff cushions to help someone of the height-disadvantaged reach the table- MK’s is especially egregious, containing no less than four.
Speaking of the boy, he tugs at your hand again, his curious eyes shifting between you and the chair meant for him. “Can we really sit here?” he whispers, voice laced with awe and a hint of anxiety.
Before you can answer, Macaque’s low voice cuts through the air as he and Wukong stride into the room after you, affably clapping their servant on his shoulders. “Of course you can,” he says, his tone soft but firm as both golden eyes land on you both. “This is your home now, Xiaotian. You can be wherever you want.”
Home. The word burns.
Maybe it sears even worse than the branding iron that haunts your dreams.
You take the seat beside his, allowing the cushion to sink as best it can under your meager weight, providing a nice abatement to your sore legs- though the cream Macaque had used to clear out grime and dirt had stopped burning not long after it was used, there was a dull ache left from both the concoction and, well… everything , really.
The man with glasses places bowls of warm, sweet-smelling rice porridge before you and MK, forcing your eyes to the bowl. The simple meal is an obvious concession to your past, but the presentation is impeccable, garnished with thin slices of banana and a drizzle of honey. It’s almost too beautiful to eat. Almost .
MK digs in immediately , tiny hands clutching the spoon with the clumsy enthusiasm only a child could muster. His muffled hum of delight sounds out at the first bite, drawing adoring coos from the two kings, and a faint, weary smile from you.
He deserves this, you think. He deserves a hundred lifetimes of warm meals, safe beds, and more love than his little heart could stand to hold.
You, however, hesitate. The porridge is still steaming, the honey forming golden rivulets over the creamy surface, but you can’t bring yourself to taste it just yet. It feels foreign, indulgent in a way that grates against the life you’ve lived- against the life that has shaped you into a scrapes-by survivor accustomed to spare bits of fuel.
You manage to lift the spoon and take a small bite.
The honeyed porridge is warm and sweet, slices of ripe banana on top to add a buttery texture that melts effortlessly on your tongue, imbuing a whisper of richness to each bite.
It’s good. Too good. It makes your chest ache.
Hunger is the world you have known, sprinkled through every aspects of your life in pieces. In the cold of winter on your stick-thin ribs, never enough meat to keep warm. In the gnawing ache that follows you to sleep. In the morning, curling like smoke in your chest as you wake, already weary. Hunger walks beside you, a shadow that stretches long.
A word heartbreakingly uttered from the lips of your darling little brother, spurring you to further and further extremes to keep him fed.
But today you are both full and warm, dressed and clean.
The thought pricks your eyes with tears, and the spoon seizes as a lump grows in your throat.
You could have never given this to MK.
The movement of your unwieldy hand grows faster and faster, shoveling more and more of the sweet porridge into your mouth, smearing it over your lips as tears begin to fall. Your spare hand drifts downwards to cusp the mildly growing curve of your stomach, feeling the meal compound through you. You drop the intricate spoon, and it clatters uselessly to the ground. In favor of scooping the meal bite by bite into your mouth, you do the simplest- and more importantly, fastest- thing possible.
You upend the contents directly into your mouth, the honeyed porridge spilling past your lips and onto your chin and cheeks. You drain it to the last drop and lick the remnants like a starving dog, and then set down the exquisite piece of china to reveal the tears dribbling over the sticky mess across your face.
“I want more,” you beg, voice plain and will broken. “Please, I-“
“ I don’t want to be hungry anymore.”
“…get them another bowl,” says Macaque, looking at you more closely than ever before. “As many as they need.”
”Until they’re full.”

on my hands and KNEES for a fic involving the circlet. i feel like it could be used so EFFECTIVELY for x reader angst but i never see it (wukong x reader hurt/comfort but HES getting comforted real not fake)
🧡👑 Heavy is the Crown That Crushes the Head — Wukong x GN! Reader Fic👑🧡
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort || they/them pronouns for reader || Warning for descriptions of circlet-induced pain/implied trauma

✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁⋆˚。⋆୨👑୧⋆˚。⋆✩₊˚.⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖
Li Jing's brash and cruel actions against the King affected him more than he was letting on. He was keeping up a brave and happy face, making it seem outwardly that it hadn't been bothering him too badly. That's what he'd always done, especially since his retirement. Especially for MK's sake. The kid was already going through so much, he didn't need to be worrying about Wukong on top of that. So he kept up a steel tight mask of a casual attitude, trying his best to not let any crack show through.
You, however, weren't so easily brushed away. You knew him better than Wukong sometimes knew himself, and that fact did often make Wukong just a bit nervous around you. There was a very brief pause in all the running and fighting, one where Wukong had distanced himself from MK and Macaque. He sure as hell didn't want Macaque making any snide comments right now.
You'd found him not long after he'd hidden, gently and carefully approaching him. "Wukong?" You began, sitting a few feet from him. Wukong gave you his default disarming grin "Yeah, peach? What's up?". "Are... are you okay?" You began, getting straight to the point "And I mean.. really okay. Not just 'surviving' or 'making it'". Wukong's grin faltered, and he looked down at the ground with a frown. "I... I'll be alright, hun. This isn't the first time I've had the world's worst crown on my head" he said. Though there was possibly a small attempt of humor in there, you could sense the genuine vulnerability in his tone.
You hesitated for a second, before reaching a hand out to him. He took it, and his breath faltered at feeling your thumb pet the back of his hand. He exhaled shakily, a hand going to the circlet. "There's really nothing we can do?" You asked, and Wukong shook his head. "No, I've tried. Practically takes a Buddah to do anything to this". You frowned sympathetically, putting your head on his shoulder. You could see his brow furrow, rubbing the circlet on his head. He remembered exactly how it felt. Being treated like a feral beast, like something to be caged and confined, to effectively declaw of his instincts. The first time it happened, at least he could admittedly understand it. He was quite literally a mass murderer back then, back when he needed the guidance of the Journey to end his borderline bloodlust.
But this was far different. This was blatant control. This was Li Jing trying to keep Wukong chained, because he knew the King was itching to settle a score with the man, especially after he got to talking to Nezha about how Li Jing acted. This was an act of malice, not protection. He could feel the familiar feelings from back then swirling in a sickly coil in his chest. Was he still dangerous? He did his best to learn, the Journey was proof of that. Maybe.. maybe all the trouble he was bringing was more than just coincidence. Maybe all these enemies coming back was a sign. He was dangerous. He was still that rough and undisciplined monkey who gnashed his teeth at any who came too close. What was he thinking, bringing this to MK and the others? To you? What kind of a partner was he, to let you fall in the way with his enemies? Maybe removing himself from the team would be better. Maybe-
"Wukong!"
The King was brought out of his spiral by your voice, cutting into his thoughts and adding a jolt of alarm to the mass of doubt he was feeling. He blinked, getting his bearings back as he turned to you. Your concerned frown hit him right in his heart. "I've been calling your name for like 30 seconds- where'd you go?" You asked. Wukong rubbed the back of his neck. "Don't worry about it, bud, I-"
"Please," You cut in imploringly "I know this is hard for you. I know that bastard has you backed into a corner, I... I'd be terrified if I were you. But you're not alone, love. I'm right here. I know I can't begin to imagine all the burdens on your shoulders, but don't be afraid to ask me to help lighten the load". Wukong took in your words, biting his lip to stop it from possibly trembling. He pulled you into a tight hug, burying his face in your shoulder and wrapping his tail tight around your waist. You held him in return, rubbing up and down his back in an attempt to comfort.
Wukong pressed his face more into your warmth, clearing his throat to make sure his voice was steady before talking "It hurts" he admitted "Worse than anything I've ever felt. Gods, it's terrible. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I can't- I can barely deal with it. I just don't want the kid to worry. He has enough happening, I- I should be strong enough for us both". As the Sage vented, you brought a hand up to his head, gently petting through the fur there. "You are strong, honey" you said to him "But being strong isn't just bottling all this up. You'll always be his hero, Wu. But you're allowed to be human, too".
That last line struck a deep cord. Wukong had lived among humans for years, finding comfort in their creativity and vibrance. He wanted to blend in with them for ages, to have the peace a human life away from the celestials and demons provided. He nuzzled into you, holding you closer "I'll... try. It's not that easy, but.. please, please stick with me. You're my own little sun, you know that?". You nodded, kissing his temple "I will, I promise. You'll be okay. We'll get that thing off of you soon. We're here for you, I've got you"
Finding comfort in your promise, Wukong calmed his breathing, holding you a little less tightly. He finally found himself relaxing, wiping his eyes as he let out a relaxing sigh. "Thank you, really" he said "We.. should probably head back now, huh?". You gave him a reassuring smile, standing and extending a hand to him. He took it, standing with you and keeping his tail wrapped tightly around you. As you two began walking back to MK, you kissed his cheek "Come to me whenever, okay? I'll never turn you away" you reminded softly. Wukong smiled, returning the gesture of affection "I promise, sunbeam"

Shadowpeach Angst AU, where the Jade Emperor decides to punish Sun Wukong in 2 ways... One is sealing him under the mountain... And the other is taking away his best friend's free will (Macaque)...
Macaque is now a constantly smiling, mindless servant to the Emperor (similar to how White Pearl was to White Diamond)...
Wukong becomes a disciple for Tang Sanzang to both atone for his past sins + hoping that redeeming himself would convince the Emperor to bring Macaque back to him...
But after the west journey, the Emperor REFUSED to give Macaque back his mind, because the Emperor believes that keeping Macaque is the only way to prevent Wukong from attacking the Celestial Realm again...
Wukong is heartbroken and depressed, until he eventually meets MK...
When Azure Lion destroys the Emperor, it frees Macaque...
Wukong tearfully gives Macaque a big hug! :')
Anon my friend, thank you for the delicious angst (also sorry for the wait in response, I've been cooking)
Prepare yourself to get yapped at cause I have thoughts!
Macaque would have either been captured soon after Wukong was defeated trying to shadow him away before anything worse happened, or he would've been caught after the celestial realm burnt Flower Fruit Mountain to the ground.
Regardless, Macaque ends up in the hands of the Jade Emperor.
Everyone knows the six eared monkey is someone very important to Wukong, and Wukong's extreme reaction to him being caught is very telling.
He finally shows some humility and begs for his mate to be spared, Macaque was just following his lead, he never wanted to rebel, all the punishment should go to him.
Execution would be the typical punishment for treason, Macaque isn't as immortal as Wukong is, he could be killed, but that's too easy, especially with the knowledge that the pair are mates.
The Jade Emperor says he'll spare Macaque, but he will serve the celestial realm. Macaque refuses, there's only one ruler he'll serve.
It's not a choice Macaque gets to make.
The Jade Emperor places him under a spell that can only be broken by his power, turning the once feared warrior into the perfectly well behaved servant who follows his commands to the letter.
Wukong is forced to watch the process while he's helpless to do anything to stop it. The last thing he sees before being sealed under the five phases mountain is the haunting grin on his mate's face.
Some in the celestial host(Nezha, Erlang, others with morals) think the punishment is a little extreme, but they can't argue with the Jade Emperor.
So, Wukong has five hundred years of stewing in grief and guilt because his mate is effectively dead, the only way to get him back is for the Jade Emperor to give him back, and he will never do that.
It's worse than if he actually had died, because Macaque is still alive, but he's not himself anymore, he's a grinning shell of who he used to be, he might not even remember him. Fun times for the monkey man!
As for Macaque, he is very unaware of what's going on around him. He doesn't think, he does what he's told. He's the Jade Emperor's personal servant so he's got a lot to do anyway, there isn't time to think, he doesn't need to think, he has a purpose, and that is to serve, not waste time with things he's not meant for.
Sometimes he gets flashes of things he's certain couldn't have happened, he'd be able to hear them if they were. Fun times for the monkey man!
When Wukong is freed, he eagerly joins the pilgrimage in the hope that his reformation approved by Buddha will be enough to get his moon back, the pain crown is a precautionary measure because he gets very aggressive at the mention of Macaque and Tripitaka is a squishy mortal.
Wukong understands why, Tripitaka doesn't abuse it. Zhu Bajie is not able to get him to use it on Wukong during the boen spirit arc because he trusts Wukong’s desperation to save his mate.
But, as you said, once the journey is over and Wukong is a Buddha certified redeemed monkey, the Jade Emperor refuses to give him back, it's the best way to keep the monkey king in line.
As a "reward" for the redemption, the Jade Emperor does allow Wukong to see Macaque once.
Wukong is absolutely devastated to see what Macaque has been reduced to, the now strained smile on his face never fading, his bright vibrant ears are shadows of their former selves, his mate is a shadow of his former self.
And he doesn't even remember him. He knows of him, and he gets irritated at him because of the giant mess his little rebellion left that he had to clean up.
Wukong is crushed that he wasn't able to save Macaque from the situation he dragged him into, and once all the pilgrims are dead, he becomes extremely depressed for 1000+ years.
Now that her monkey is super depressed, Nuwa decides to fix it.
She, being a goddess and relative of the Jade Emperor, is able to get access to Macaque, and she so she gets some times with the six eared monkey and instructs him to make a little clay monkey. Mac doesn't question it and makes a little four eared monkey, why's it got four ears? He doesn't know, it just felt right.
Nuwa dismisses him and takes Macaque’s monkey to the mortal realm before granting the creation life, it's a monkey, hooray.
Then she drops the baby in front of Wukong and is like “hi son, I got you a baby to cure your depression hope this helps.” Then leaves.
Wukong knows he's not in the state for raising a baby and sends the cub to the mainland where he gets picked up by Pigsy and Tang. Wukong is ignoring the fact that the cub Nuwa gave him is clearly Macaque’s, his fragile state of mind can't handle that.(I must make MK Shadowpeach’s kid, I just have too)
Then the same kid comes busting down his door two decades later with his staff, and he's both happy to see him and ashamed he couldn't be a better parent for him.
His depression gets better with people in his life again.
The plot of seasons 1-3 happens, MK does bump into Macaque during the celestial heist to deal with Spider Queen, literally, he literally bumps into him then runs. Macaque was very confused then moved on.
As for Macaque being freed when the Jade Emperor dies.
No.
The spell on him just passes to the next Jade Emperor, Azure. Now Azure has to be the one to free him.
Here's the thing, the Camel Ridge trio think that Wukong threw his lot in with the celestial realm because they had heard about Macaque being the emperor's most valued servant, and those two follow each other everywhere and they came to the conclusion that Macaque convinced Wukong to abandon their cause and betray them.
So they really don't like Macaque, but he is the first to bow to Azure as the new Jade Emperor.
Azure is confused and thinks it's just Macaque being a schemer and trying to get in with him like he did with the old regime.
Yellow Tusk notices something is off and decides to ask the other servants about Macaque, and gets told that he was put under a spell by the Jade Emperor that only he could undo, and it seems to have passed to Azure with his ascension. Yellow Tusk brings the issue to Azure, since they're trying to be better than the previous regime, they can start by freeing the person who's been a prisoner in his own mind for the last 1700+ years.
Azure considers it, but he knows how deeply Wukong cares about his shadow, and this tactic has been successful in preventing Wukong from attacking the heavens, why not use it a little longer until the Monkey King is subdued?
Extra angst.
Macaque gets brought down to be used as a bargaining tool, and that understandably makes Wukong very upset and he and Azure fight. MK joins in because that's an asshole move.
Macaque does get freed when Nezha seals the Jade Emperor's powers, therefore making him the one in charge of them, and he frees Macaque immediately.
Mac is extremely confused when he's back, and he is immediately tackled with hugs and kisses by Wukong; he does not let go of him for a solid week afterwards. It's been a rough seventeen hundred years, he's allowed to be a little clingy.
Macaque is very much not okay after being freed, he suffered a lot of abuse that the spell on him would not allow his mind to acknowledge, so now he's being hit with all of shit that happened to him. Wukong wants to kill everyone who ever hurt or was mean to his mate. He can't but he really wants to(Erlang gets a crushing monkey hug because he was nice to Macaque.)
Thanks for this idea, it's been very fun to play with!
I hope you enjoy the angst anon!

Tragic Sunburst duo headcanon.
Season 5 ending spoiler
Okay so you know that fandom headcanon that Wukong has a scar wear his OLD crown used to be?
Headcanon: When Mk had to use the crown to stop Wukong from offing himself, Mk used it so hard that Wukongs head started bleeding cause the wound reopened. The two didn’t notice until everything calmed down and Mk FREAKED OUT. He was hysterical that he hurt Wukong and was inconsolable. Wukong tried to reassure him he was okay but Mk WAS NOT having it.
Mk is now terrified to touch Wukong in any harmful way because of that instance so sparring and training is ALOT harder now.
Was in a silly goofy mood when writing this. Live laugh love Sunburst Duo.

Uhhh, OH, this will defo be asked but Reader desses up as Wukong for halloween?
Like, they have been kinda stand offish with their monkey and when Halloween comes they show them their costum! (Let's stroke their egos bc I love all of my monkeys ♡)
Better yet if they try and make an "impression" of their lover like "I'm the great Sage, equal to heaven!" Or smth like that, and go out to treat or trick dressed like that
Oh he won't know If he should be Flattered or Insulted🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
(Lmk Wukong) He went to pigsy's restaurant to get lunch for the 2 of you, until he heard laughter from inside. Wukong was curious and walked in wondering what's so funny. Then Wukong's jaw dropped when he saw you dressed as him, and acted like him as Macaque, Mk, Mei and Redson had laughed Hysterically. You acted like him, spoke a bit like him, even eating a peach looking relaxed, it was adorable and hysterical. Wukong didn't know if he should be offended or Chirp about how cute you are.
(NR Wukong) Su was giggling excessively, Li shook his head, but he was Amused. You had made a costume for Halloween in a few weeks, and you decided that your costume would be of your husband. You made a suit very similar to him, and you even have the same metal mask and everything, Li felt like he was experiencing deja Vu in your costume, and Su couldn't stop laughing. When Wukong finally saw, he found you to be more attractive than ever, and he'll probably want to make out with you while wearing your costume so don't be shock if that happens😉🤭
(MKR Wukong) Pigsy was cackling and laughing at the scene, and sandy was impressed with your handcraft costume. Wukong's eyes Widened looking at you and dressed like him you even had eye make up and a flower crown like his own. Pigsy and Sandy laughed as we behaved like him and fought using a branch as his staff, and even fruity got confused and thought you were him Wukong would feel mildly insulted if you weren't so cute.
(HIB Wukong) Luier eyes were sparkling in astonishment at your new costume. Silly girl was giggling as you held her and imitated their father, after a while Wukong had walked in and his jaw dropped. He saw you dressed like him you had the armor and staff and everything, you also were acting like him and even pigsy joined in the fun and pretending your Wukong. Wukong looked so done with the scene infront of him, and so did you as you copied him on that too.
(Netflix Wukong) Oh, his ego is gonna go off the charts. That is until you act like him and sorta make fun of him, and his behavior. At first it was cute and funny but then as the day goes by you end up showing him the negative parts of himself. Which is annoying now that he's made to look at it but at least he likes the coustum.
(BMW Wukong) Ohhhhhhhhhh Wukong loved your costume, and was flattered that you used him as an inspiration. Then he had an idea and shared it with you, and it's gonna have fun. You guys totally go troll heaven and Bahje as you are able to copy him and go prank Erlang too. What he doesn't like is when you go imitate the not so flattering parts of him but at least you make it cute.
(The Destined One) Awww, that's adorable you two are totally gonna match each other. He finds it cute how you go and try to copy his strong, silent type personality. He also likes how you watch him and his Mannerism so you can keep up with him. God, you're so adorable and you bring out a silent smile out of him.🥰

Day 15: Late Night Phone Calls
Characters:
MK
Be prepared cause depending on what kind of day he has is going to affect the type of call you both have. Like if he had a good day training with one of his mentors and was able to get some hits in then he’s going to be talking about how it went and describing the session. Talking about what he learned and how to do it; probably doing the moves in his room before he remembers you can’t see him and he just laughs it off, saying he’ll show you the next time he sees you. However… if he has a bad day or feels like everything is his fault (like LBD, Azure Lion, Finding Nuwa, and getting Wukong crowned again) then he’s going to need some reassurance and will probably comfort from his favorite person. Without a doubt MK will fall asleep while on the phone with you and wake up around the same time as you, seeing the time on the phone is 9 hours.
Sonic
Oh, my gods. Where to start. When he first got a phone he was nonstop excited for three days and constantly called or facetimed you. It doesn’t matter what time it is or if you’re right next to him, he’ll have so much fun. Sonic’s also the type of person to fall asleep on the phone or call you when he’s in the aftermath of the battle to tell you how it went down and that he’s safe or if he has any injuries. There are times when he’ll call you and ask if you’re busy and if you say no he’s already at your door knocking repeatedly.
Sun Wukong
Thank the MK and the gang because teaching an immortal sage how to use a phone took an entire day and explaining that you couldn’t always be on the mountain because you had a job and had to be an adult. Safe to say your lover wasn’t happy to hear that and was grumpy that you couldn’t just stay with him but was alright with the phone calls. He calls mostly at night or he’s lazing around eating peaches or enjoying the sun. Almost always it’s about how he misses you or asking if he can come over to cuddle with you and watch one of the many series with him while you both eat snacks. On the rare occasion, he’ll call in the middle of the night calling you with a tremor in his voice and sounds like he’s on the verge of crying then you know he’s remembered some trauma or had a nightmare. It’s not the best to talk over the phone but he’s grateful since he can tell you he’s coming over for some comfort.

•MK and Wukong have games night. Bai He and Wukong have movie night. They just put some random movie mostly being mystery and like to shit the movie because bad it is or make theory about details they notice. They figure the ending not even half way the movie.
•Bai He actually didn't like peach that much. She just didn't like the taste but never tell Wukong about it. She love most of fruits, especially tropical fruits. Fruits can be rather exspensive but with Wukong she can eat all the fruits she want with no limites!
•Wukong once let her name one of the baby monkey and she didn't sleep for 3 days thinking of good name for the baby.
•They love flower! They know many random facts about the flower and just randomly talking about them while making flower crowns. With Wukong being master of art he is and Bai He just strugle everytime.
•They like to dye their hair together. The first times, is to help Bai He because she didn't like the white stroke of hair Lady Bone Demon left on her head. But the thing is that the dye can stick long on the white hair and easily fade a way in few days.

Sun Wukong & Macaque w/ Hastur! S/O
Characters: Sun Wukong and Six-Eared Macaque (separate) Inspired By: Poll Result A/N: I made up some characters for the Reader's past, so just bear with that. ⚠️ Spoilers/Trigger Warnings for: Mentions of being locked away and mental manipulation (somewhat) ⚠️
Backstory of Information on Hastur! Reader
Years ago, the founders of the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign, had finally been able to summon their God, and bring them to Earth. And while they expected you to spread your own chaos like you pledged, you just looked at them, gave each sub-group a role in your court and began to work alongside the many immortals you had the pleasure of meeting. Though, you connected with a certain immortal better with the others...
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
╚═════ Sun Wukong ════════════════════════════╝
☀️ When you walked into a meeting with the immortals, Wukong had his eyes on you almost immediately. The way your yellow cloak flowed in the wind just made him stare at you until Ne Zha poked his foot with his staff
☀️ While he spent his time under the rock for 500 years, you were locked away in an old box by a demon who used your human friend, Li, and were only freed when her descendant, Caihong, had smashed the box by accident during a fight against a powerful demon
☀️ Coming across your familiar caped form and your tiny human ally made him smile and pick you up before spinning you in the air with a large smile on his face
"Wukong?! How're you here? I thought you got imprisoned under that mountain!"
"Well... I did. BUT! I got un-imprisoned by my old Master and uh, well, the rest is a long story. Now let me ask where you were!" He said, holding your arms as you chuckled and gave your side of the story.
☀️ Caihong walked up to you, her long holographic-like hair coming down from her flower crown that you made on your walk through a nearby village to find the supposed 'heroes' that were rumored to be coming by soon
☀️ She grabbed your arm and you could feel her puffy sleeves on her outfit hitting your skin as she looked at the Monkey King and asked who he was, to which you smiled, picked her up and introduced the primate-human to the young female
"Caihong, meet Sun Wukong, he was the man I was speaking to you about a couple minutes ago. You remember, the man who couldn't stop trying to train with me back in Heaven."
☀️ Wukong's cheeks became flushed as you smiled at the girl and did the same thing to him that you did for her
"Sun Wukong, meet Caihong. She's the descendant of Li, the warrior who helped me when I tried finding you after the conflict."
☀️ Looking from the man who picked the girl up gently and began asking her about her own life, the Monkie Kids looked at you with either hesitation and confusion or stars in their eyes
☀️ MK ran up to you alongside Mei and they began to ask you many questions, from your power to how you knew Wukong, before moving onto Wukong and asking how he knew you
☀️ Smiling as he ran away with Caihong in his arms, saying how he would let them hold her over his dead body, you couldn't help but remember how you both fought alongside one another all those years ago
☀️ Oh how you missed your sunny husband...
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
╚═════ Six-Eared Macaque ═══════════════════════╝
💜 After the revival of Macaque, you appeared on Earth, alarming the Monkie Kids and the King
💜 Instead of fighting them, you landed next to them and began to mentally torment Sun Wukong, asking why he would kill his only friend. The one who warned him about everything, yet his own ego got in the way
💜 Macaque just stood above them all as you appeared near him and used a tentacle to pat his head before motioning for him that you were ready to leave, saying your work was done for now
"I'm surprised you came by to help me with that, Y/N. Figured you had something better to do." He said.
"Oh no, I got unlocked for this weird box a couple months ago by Li's long-down-the-line child, Caihong."
"Li had a kid? Huh. Shocker."
💜 Chuckling as he laid a cup of tea down in front of you, the six-eared primate laid his head down on your shoulder after your hood was pulled down, revealing your extremely pale face with crown going from above your hood to laying on your skull
💜 After taking a breath and sipping some of the tea, you looked at Macaque and laid your own head onto his as he sighed and wrapped his tail around your midsection lightly
"She's not to bad of a girl, though her odd hair did put me off at first." You joked.
"So the holographic hair thing passed down the bloodline! Oh, if only Wukong would pay me for winning the bet." He joked back.
💜 Raising your head and staring into his eyes, you saw how he relaxed and slightly un-glamoured himself, the tip of his tail being tinted white and his scar coming out against his natural mask
"I missed you, Love."
"I missed you to, Sweetheart."

@quitealotofsodapop Au fanarts!

These are Ye Lin and Shihua from Stone Matriarch, redesigning them a bit to make them look more tropical and we also talked a lot in private with Ash about how their typical clothing worked being based on nature (leaves, vines, shells, leather and skins) and the fabrics saved for special occasions back then.
@soniclozdplove belongs to these characters.
And I decided to take off Shihua's overalls and Ye Lin's glasses but he still has bad eyesight so he always crashed into a tree...
For example, we talk about the customs of the Yao monkeys, who have customs similar to those of the stone monkeys due to the cultural syncretism they had after the great flood; an example of this is that infants do not usually wear clothes or ornaments because they will be too small for them when they grow up, so in their late childhood they will begin to wear clothes, as a rite of maturation.
A case we can see is Brother & Sister monkey'' who just went through this stage.
My draw for they!!
Once the monkeys reach adulthood, they begin to use their characteristic makeup. Each makeup of the Yao or stone monkey is unique and is something that identifies them as an individual.
A young monkey king arriving for the first time to human civilization.
My redesing of Rin rin based @littledoodles501 and @/journey-to-the-au
The current typical clothing of Wukong and Macaque of the island, Macaque was based on Liu'er from Meihouwan 2009 only that here it is a complete cloth that wraps him and his scarf, and Wukong uses his characteristic cape and the phoenix crown.
I love that we all agree that Wukong wears turquoise eyeliner jfisabdoia
And all the talk came to derive in the way the clothes of the monkeys evolved throughout the centuries by the human contact, the monkeys currently conserve their traditional way of dressing adding fabrics to complement it as ponchos or bibs, even using underwear in the loincloths, because the current generations are more modest and those who live in the cities use modern clothes for the obvious, but they never give up their makeup since it is their identity.
And well all this evolved into how the monkeys will celebrate their typical festivals, an example of this would be the monkeys of Huaguoshan celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival that happened recently; we came up with a plot in which the MKCrew were invited to celebrate the festival by Wukong on the island, for which the monkeys go on a pilgrimage to celebrate the festival… only there was a small detail… Wukong didn't think of mentioning the clothes of the locals (Or rather, he didn't tell them the way they dress because he is aware that their typical clothes are very… let's say different…) and they will feel very out of place because they are all dressed in a traditional Chinese way, they would be like:
And then the Stalwarts save their backs by saying why Wukong told them, let's say that each one began to wear more typical clothes (Pigsy would be the most modest but would agree to wear makeup and an accessory) and while Tang… Tang would personify the phrase ''when in Rome, do as the Romans do''.
Sometimes Nezha, when he could escape from his duties, would go to celebrate on the island, and Chenxiang would also be around the area…
The origin of the monkeys celebrating the festival is because of a Macaque infant who is originally from the moon and came here to live with his own kind. Feeling bad about leaving his sister, with the help of some infants Wukong and Stalwarts, he made mooncakes to console her. And also one that Macaque is the king's consort.
During the day, people would play games, serve fruits and bugs; to pass the time, there was also a lantern-making contest that Wukong used to win every year when he was an infant; In which MK and Mei got very competitive, but they didn't win because they were poorly made so the rest of the monkeys had to help make them for the evening…
Once dusk comes everyone stands on the seashore to wait for the sun to set and once this happens they start to launch their lanterns; the first to do so is the King who always has his peach-shaped lantern and once it rises everyone starts to raise theirs…
Once the lanterns have gone everyone shares the table, which is outdoors like a picnic, where the famous moon cakes are eaten, in the MKCrew area there are Wukong, Macaque, Nezha and Chenxiang if they are there; Pigsy brings many homemade moon cakes because he is aware of the New Year anecdote; But you will be surprised that Wukong also cooked mooncakes and they are not made of hair (In my headcanon Wukong has many hobbies that he developed over the centuries and one of them is cooking and he was the one who taught Bajie to cook <3)
Chenxiang: Sifu missed your cooking! *Takes a cake* MK: *Memories of Vietnam* ummm… you're going to eat that…? Chenxiang: … Yes *breaks it in half and surprisingly it doesn't disintegrate into hair, puts it in him mouth* MK: *glares at Wukong* Wukong, guilty look: I panicked because my kitchen was dirty
Lo juro este mono tiene un desorden alimenticio...
So Pigsy now confirmed that Wukong's cakes are not hair, is curious about the king's ''kitchen'' so he tries one with caution and…
MK: PIGSY!!!??? Mei: I think I've killed him…
Pigsy begs for the recipe Wukong is confused since he's been making them the same way for centuries.
Sometimes if you receive food from Wukong, you're either eating literal hair or a piece of heaven...
MKCrew also finds out that Macaque is Chang'e's brother because he himself told how Huaguosha started celebrating this party.
MK: Dude!! We could have taken you to see her if you weren't trying to capture us for Lady Bone Demon Wukong: Maybe we will go visit her another time… without something happening that is the end of the world… *Looks at macaque*
Macaque is definitely visiting after the events of S5...
Then, once dinner is over and they have admired the moon, some monkeys will go to put their children to bed or go to sleep, other people will go to parties around the island drinking liquor made from pickled fruits. So Wukong invites them to spend the night. Normally they expect to sleep in the king's cabin, but he passes them by and goes into the depths of the cave until he reaches a mythical and enigmatic…
The stone palace…
From: El origen de GOKU - Destripando la Historia
hermano lo juro esta es la unica imagen que he encontrado del palacio de piedra del rey mono...
Wukong: "I thought you guys knew about this place?" MK: Normally we are in your cabin *His eyes shine*
Wukong used to live in his palace, but after what happened with Macaque… he decided to leave the place, he didn't want to be in a place where everything reminded him of him and he built his characteristic cabin...
Wukong's cabin is for him only. Palace has many beds for dear guests and subjects.
And the mid-autumn festival ends the next day with a great banquet for everyone in the palace, in which Wukong makes sure that everyone is satiated and sober… above all, recovered from their hangover, so that their subjects can return safely to the colony.
And if you have noticed the absence of the Bull Demon family is because Wukong did not know if he should invite the Bull Demon family to the festival, they are currently in a tentative alliance and went to the beach day more because they were celebrating that they managed to save the world; but he knew that they would reject the invitation for what he has done… So he did not invite them even though he wanted to celebrate with them too (I have not seen season 5, I do not know if they are on good terms now)
So as in every year he always sends them some homemade mooncakes… He just hopes that this time they are not in the trash…

Nameless au part 16:
_"Kid! You're alive! I thought we were too late." Erlang finally arrived to the rescue.
_"Yeh, I'm fine. This is like- the third time I had to fight him." MK answered calmly.
_"You'd think you'd be better at it by now." Erlang said sarcasticaly noticing the kid's injuries.
_"I know!" Mk admitted. Even though he fought Monkey King before this time was completely different, it's like he doesn't recognise him. It's like he sees him as an enemy.
_"Care to fill me in on the situation?" Erlang asked as he was dodging Wukong who immediately turned his attention to him.
_"You were right, the crown has Monkey King and he's trying to take the scroll back." Mk flew with Erlang, trying to keep a distance between them and the king.
_"You found it? Good job kid!" Erlang sounded proud, "Get it to the monk. I'll take care of Wukong." MK didn't leave, he was clearly thinking about this, "GO! I know you're worried but you'll only slow me down."
MK understood Erlang's words, he'll only be in the way of an all out fight, he must leave. But the voice inside his head is telling him to stay or the general will die- before he could finish that thought, an ominous energy got his attention. It was terrifying.
What was that? It came from where the others are.
MK left immediately to check on everyone, that energy he felt almost made him run away. Whatever it is, he won't let it hurt his family.
____________
A few minutes earlier;
Seeing her son's expression become unnaturally empty, as if he was dead, PIF felt a chill down her spine. She wanted to call for him, to tell him it's ok, she'll be fine, but she couldn't.
Her eyes widened after looking down, something in the back of her head was telling to look its way. What the fuck!? Her stomach twisted and if it weren't for her state, she would've jumped for the kill. The thing, that was only focused on the spell it was casting, stopped and turned its head, it was smiling at her son with the most disturbing smile she had ever seen. It was sickening.
What the hell is it doing to Redson?!
The thing was almost too happy, the smile almost ripped Macaque's cheeks. But what it was feeling wasn't happiness, no, it was something more.
__________
_"Well~ well~ what do we have here?~"
_"What? Who are you? Show yourself!"
Redson looked around but he couldn't see anything, he opened his eyes in an empty voide, only the sound was echoing in what seemed an endless darkness.
_"Now now~ No need to be angry~ I'm here to help you~"
_"Help me? Ha! Like I need your help."
_"Then consider it a favour~"
_"Why would you do me any favours?"
_"Because we're friends of course!~ And friends take care of each other.~"
_"I am NOT your friend."
_"Ouch- That hurts you know~ I thought because we're very alike we'd be close friends.~"
_"Alike? Us? Are you crazy?"
_"That's what they said. They said I was crazy and out of control! A dangerous monster! Those cowards that took MY POWER AND LOCKED ME UP! And you know why?"
_"I guess you're telling me." Redson realised after that reaction that calling him crazy is dangerous, so no more calling the deranged creature crazy.
_"Because they couldn't control me. Those hypocrites never cared about the world, they never cared about anyone but themselves, and when they felt I was getting stronger, they didn't even dare to face me and sent someone else to do their dirty job."
_"Well it's not like you were trying to save the world either."
_"But I was. In a world where only the strongest survived and the so called righteous people turned a blind eye, I was the only one who gave power to the weak. I made the fight fair and their fragile ego couldn't handle it. But why are you defending them? You were one of their victims too. I don't understand why you'd fight me."
_"I am not a victim."
_"You're not? But I think you were. They broke your soul into pieces and took a part of you away. They sealed your rightful power then had the nerve to call you weak, useless, a disappointment. They pushed you to the limit only to laugh at your failure. That was cruel even for me."
_"Shut up."
_"They said it's for your own good. Well what good are they talking about? They just broke your legs before you could even walk. And we both know why."
_"..."
_"They were scared of you, no, they were scared you were gonna take away their places, they couldn't let that happen. And you know what's the worst part? They framed you as the villain and themselves as heroes, then made you believe it."
_"..."
_"But I can see the truth, and the truth is, you weren't a monster, you only needed a little help. They should've helped you, guided you, but they were only a bunch of egotistic maniacs, too scared to do the right thing. It was never your fault Redson, you were just a child."
_"..."
_"I know how you feel. Let me help you. Let's save your mother and make sure no one will ever hurt your family again."
_"H-how?"
_"It's simple really. Believe it or not, now that the seal is broken, you only need to tell your fire to come back to you."
_"I just have to call it?"
_"Yes. You're its master. It only listens to you. You told it to become the dragon girl's so it wouldn't hurt her and it followed the order."
_"I told it to?"
_"Not on purpose. But it can feel you, it knows what you want. You just have to want it and take it."
_"But why didn't it come to me in the first place then?"
_"You tell me. Were you afraid of it? I mean that wouldn't be too far of. They made it seem like some sort of doomsday weapon. So it's ok to feel that way."
_"What if they're right? What if I can't control it?"
_"You already are controlling it! Did the dragon girl burn to nothing? Naaaah, she's fine, what more proof do you need?"
_"T-that was-"
_"Oh you poor kid. Just how badly did they mess you up for you to let your mother die than have your powers back?"
_"H-how do I save my mother?"
_"You know how they said your fire is out of control and would burn the world?"
_"Yes?"
_"Well they lied. Your fire only burns what you want it to burn. You can simply burn the poison inside your mom and close her injuries!"
_"I can?"
_"I would love to teach you everything about your fire but we're running out of time here. Make your decision so I can help!"
_"I just have to call it..." Redson whispered, "What do you want?" He asked.
_"A friend. So be my friend. That's not much to ask, right?"
_"Deal."
_"Then give the order. I'll be right by your side.~"
_____
Redson found himself back where he was, standing under a tree next to his mother. But he didn't focus on her. His attention was entirely pulled to the Mei.
Somehow, he was able to see it. The Samadhi fire, his fire, sleeping inside the dragon, no, it wasn't peacefully sleeping, it was stuck, locked up, unable to move. And just like she could feel him, he could feel it for the first time. She was painfully waiting for him to call her home.
_"COME TO ME!" Redson lifted up his hand for her and just as ordered, it skinned itself out of her host and flew back home.
Mei almost passed out from the pain she felt when the fire left her but the relief she felt after it was gone made it all seem worth it.
It all went quiet, all everyone could hear was their own heartbeat and shaking breath, they were exhausted mentally and physically, but what just happened shook them to the core. All eyes on Redson.
The Samadhi fire is now back inside Redson, and Redson might be under the crown's control. Which means the crown might control the fire. The next few seconds might be their last...
(What do you mean I stopped here because I have no idea where to go next? These are all false accusations!!!
Also I didn't want to write the dialogue between Redson and Thing but I wanted to show just how good it is at twisting what others want to hear. Plus it kinda gave me something to write.)

This is set as a hypothetical between S5 and S6 but in the Stone Matriarch variants, the world did not cleanly heal from reality breaking twice over and thus some strange things have started happening. The most drastic of which being an incident in which the Noodle Gang and our favorite monkey ended up falling through time and space into another dimension set several millenia in the past when Wukong was approximately the same age as MK and still a very young monkey.
The most stark contrast, however, is that this world is a world in which the Great Floos never wiped put the Stone Monkeys. Meaning the young Wukong grew up with both his parents.
While everyone else is marveling at the new world and the changes within it, Wukong is having a bit of an existential crisis of his own upon realizing this is the life that had been stolen from him by a flood that happened long before he was ever even hatched.
Its the end of Season 5; MK has tried his best to spread the power of the Heavenly Stones throughout the universe.
When during their celebration party on Flower Fruit Mountain; a portal opens up and drags the gang all inside.
When they all come too - it's to Flower Fruit Mountain.
But not the one they know.
Many spears and swords are suddenly poised at the intruders. They are surrounded on all sides by monkey demons, all wearing plain island-style clothing made of natural materials. Cleary wherever they landed; they've alerted the locals.
Leading the scouts is an eerily familiar monkey - Wukong himself?!
However this monkey doesn't look exactly like Wukong: his eyes are a deep blue rather than gold, and he has a younger, somehow cheekier smile.
His smile only widens at the sight of the Monkey King.
???: "Shihou! You're home early! Wukong: "Who... who are you?" ???: "Ehh? Gege, are you ok? Or are you unable to tell your own brother's face from a horse's bum?" Wukong: "BROTHER?!"
This encounter quickly leads to the gang getting captured by the monkey scouts - who bring him to the Stone Palace.
But not the ruin Wukong refurbished in the early years of his kinghood.
It's THE Stone Palace.
Unweathered by time or nature. It's decorated with tapestries and statues of past warriors and rules. At the end of the entrance hall is an imposing stone throne - upon it sits a ginger-furred monkey.
But it's not Sun Wukong.
It's a female monkey. Older than what Wukong had been when he took the throne. Her body adorned by a large red cape in harmony with multiple jade ornaments. At her side is a brunette male monkey of the same age, readjusting his spectacles at their guests. Guards and retainers, many of whom Wukong and Macaque know from their youth, line the room.
Wukong: "Mrs uh... Matriarch is it? We're a little lost - dimension wise. Where we were, the Heavenly Pillar was breaking and the lines between worlds thinned. We must have fallen through the wrong door." (*As Wukong speaks, the female monkey rises from her throne and walks slowly towards him. Her eyes narrow as she touches his scarf, comparing it to her cape. The whole room seems to draw in a breath.*) Shihua: "Where did you get this?" Wukong: "It was draped over the throne when I found the palace for the first time." Shihua: "Found? Have you not lived here your entire life?" (*A feeling of dread overcomes Wukong as he tries his best to explain*) Wukong: "When I was very young, none of us lived in the Stone Palace. But I accidentally rediscovered it when I fell through the waterfall. There was a plaque dedicated to whomever lived there before us, and a cape resting on the throne. I took the cape for my self when the troop crowned me King- er.. Matriarch." Ye Lin, concerned: "And what of your parents? surely they would not have let a mere cub rule?" Wukong, brow furrowed with sad confusion: "I... never had any parents. I was born alone atop of Flower Fruit Mountain from a lone stone egg. As far as I know, besides Macaque and MK here, I'm the only Stone Monkey there is." (*The two royal monkeys look at each other sadly. The Queen makes a deep sigh as she sniffs the stranger-king's scarf, offering it to her mate to inspect. The brunette monkey takes a sniff, his gaze widening when he recognises the scent.*) Shihua: "That explains it." Ye Lin: "What does, my Queen? How does this young man smell almost exactly like our elder son?" Shihua: "These strangers truly are from another world. Another time even. One where our people did not survive the Great Flood we weathered." (*every single jaw in the room is dropped from shock. The monkey marshals and generals quickly begin inspecting the strangers, grooming their fur and sniffing their effects. The Wukong-double from earlier looks positively smug*) Luzhen, excited: "So he IS Gege!!" Marshal Ma: "No little prince, I've already checked with the Celestial Realm. Shihou is still working off his sentence in the stables." Wukong: "Sentence? Stables? Oh sweet Buddha, you mean I'm still the bimawen?!" MK: "I mean! At least you aren't under that mountain!" Tang, covered in curious monkeys: "What year is this even?" Ye Lin: "I am unsure if our time keeping methods match yours - but the humans on the mainland have recently chosen a new Emperor. A man they call Taizong of Tang." The Monkie Kids, shocked: Σ(°ロ°)! Mei, looking on the bright side: "I can introduce you guys to my Grandpa Lie!"
Of course, now the Monkie Kids/Noodle Gang need to figure out why they fell through a portal, what has changed in this new world, and whether or not the infamous Journey to the West can even happen.
Its very fun AU to think about. A lot of sight-seeing occurs as Shihua glamours/hides the gang as her or her family's new retainers. :3
Au name ideas im thinking; "Stone Royalty au"? or something along those lines.
Btw for those wondering about the "reincarnation" aspect of Shihua's life... Guanyin still exists in this world. Bodhisattva is a keystone character who will find a way to exist. Even if it leaves Shihua mourning her twin who did not survive the Flood.
