Oh, t-they're in here too already? Let's see.
H-ha ha.... t-that's the first thing they noticed, huh? Go figure.
We mean, we've been here in this place for such a long, long time.... it was about time we cleaned things up, got rid of the bĢ·ĶĢĶlĢ·ĢĶĶĶoĢµĢĢĢ¬oĢ¶ĶĢĢ¦ĶdĢøĶĢĶĢ Ģ¶ĶĢ¾ĢÆ and all. Did some healing, you might say! Some... redecorating, you might say.
We realized that, in this space, it's ultimately up to us what we see. So we take the opportunity, to, ah...
... cĢ·hĢ¶aĢµnĢ“gĢøeĢ“ some things around, when we want to. ā„
#lqler#hqler#lowquality onceler#... of course you would do that in such a dramatic way.... sigh.#the more things c-change the more they stay the same huh?

ā³ you've changed a lot ever since, i'm still stuck in the same place we left.
itoshi sae runs into you and he sees what changed with you ever since he left .
warnings ; implied breakup, angst with a hopeful ending
the first time sae sees you again was in the convenience store by the school he used to go to.
he vaguely remembers you waiting for him by the gate, greeting him with a beaming smile and a wave. he chuckles a bit remembering that. he also vaguely remembers how you would show him your favorite snacks and drinks to get at that same store, telling him that if you ever get mad at him, he should buy these for you and he'll have your heart. he tries to remember more memories the two of you created but it's no use, the thought of you at the back of his mind is all a blur. was it you he was with at the beach? was it you he was with as he went to buy ice cream? was it you that screamed his name so loud at his games? was it you who he kissed under the fireworks? maybe if he hadn't tried to push you away then you would see how much he appreciates you, how much he loves you. but at the same time, he impulsively erased any memory of you in his brain. it's like you were some specks of dust in the corner of his room that no matter how much he cleaned it, it'll still come back. it's funny, no? seeing you with different people whom he didn't recognize, looking at them with that same smile of yours, arms interlocked with each other, happily chatting about who knows what.
the strange thing he noticed is that the snacks you bought and ate were different than what you used to buy with him. he was confused, what do you mean you don't buy the packaged mochis anymore? the hi-chews? the lychee ramunes? to be fair, he did leave you behind as well for 4 years. who knows what happened and what changed in you within those 1,461 days? it was a long time to wait for someone who broke your heart, you were bound to get tired of waiting. it's not like he ever tried to reply to your messages and calls daily, most of them left delivered and in voicemail. another thing he noticed was your hair. you had let it grow unlike when you were with him. you used to cut it whenever you noticed it getting longer, saying that you didn't like having long hair because it was a hassle to take care of. oh and, your hair was a different color too, from h/c to a lighter color, it fit you that's for sure. oh, the things he'd do just so he could run his fingers through your hair just like he did back then.
it's like he was stuck in time, he couldn't move even if he wanted to. he stayed there, looking at you. seeing how you were slowly losing your teenage features. you were way taller, hell, you might've been a few inches taller than him. the next thing he knew was that his legs were on autopilot. they walked towards the convenience store. you were going to see him sooner or later, but fuck, he wasn't prepared. he doesn't even know what he's going to say once you see him. were you even going to notice him at all? were you going to ignore him the same way he did to you? "sae? is that you?", it was only when you talked that sae realized he had gone inside the store. you waved to the boy as you walked closer to him. he noticed your voice was deeper, it was still beautiful to hear though. even after all these years, he still loved hearing your honey-like voice. "it's been a minute, huh? how have you been? i thought you were in Spain?" you ask, "oh.. uh, i'm doing well. i just came back here to renew my passport for a good 3 days. got hungry so i went here." he replies, "so, you won't be here for long, huh." you added. "i missed you." you suddenly say, catching him off guard. "i.. did too." sae returns, hearing your friends call for you, you quickly say goodbye to him. "wait a bit, guys! uh, i guess this is goodbye, itoshi sae?" you tell him, "goodbye, y/n. i'm sorry i couldn't love you the same way you loved me." sae states, the last part he whispered. time was cruel for letting the two of you talk for only a minute or two, he'd do anything he could just to let you stay for a few more minutes.
with that, you had left with your friends. god, if only he stopped you. if only he said that he could ask his assistant to give him a week or so to stay in japan, maybe then the spark that was once firing with love and passion between the two of you would be relit. it was his fault for leaving you with the mess of heartbreak anyways, he was cruel for doing that to you, he knows that. sae thought that he had moved on, but it was just a faƧade he created to hide the guilt of leaving what the two of you could've been behind. he had left but he had never moved on, you had stayed yet you were the one to move on first. so, a question lingers in his mind as he gives the lady his ticket, which of the two of you really left the other?
the second time sae sees you again was at the airport.
all of a sudden, he heard a voice shouting his name. a voice he knew all too well. it was your voice, calling for him. he stopped dead in his tracks and looked back, seeing you wave at him with that same light in your eyes. he quickly runs to you, his assistant saying that the flight will leave soon but he could care less. "w-what are you doing here, y/n?" sae asks you, "well.. you did say you were going to stay for only 3 days, i also asked your mom about when you were going to leave so here i am!" you answer, smiling at him. he quickly dropped his bags and hugged you, oh so tightly. he didn't care if people were around, you were here with him after all. he thanks whatever god is out there for giving him another chance to hold you like this again. maybe, just maybe, he can relight the dying flame between the two of you.

I wanna feel you from the inside-
Song: Closer - Nine Inch Nails
Summary: Using his weakness against him to snag a cheap rescue was playing dirty, but unfortunately for you, Norton is well versed when it came to playing like that..ļæ¼
Warnings: Fools gold gets his own warning. Implied Monster fucking, afab reader, pet names (doll/dollface/slut/ect) Nortons mean guys š He hurts ur boob, the smut is cut off though
You knew what you were getting into. But, at the same time, it was a bit of ganjiās fault as well.
Getting downed at five ciphers was quite embarrassing, and most people wouldnāt even bother with the rescue.. Butā¦ then again, you know the feeling all too well. You were relatively close with the batter after all. That being said, you were in no hurry to complete said rescue. After completing your cipher you hurried over to the outside of the dreary hospital where Ganji was currently chaired. It was already above half, so if he were to get chaired once more, heād be dead, but at least the rescue would give ganji a chance to redeem himself after that unfortunately short kite.
You carefully snuck around the limited structures to block the line of sight of Norton, who was camping the chair. You know Norton would prefer to not swing at all rather than risk accidentally hitting you in the process. As cruel as he may act, he does care for you. He is just a greedier version of his survivor counterpart, whom would give him an aggravatingly long earful if he downed you. Knowing all of this, you still decide to use it against him in situations like this.
And oh, how he loathes you for that.
Quickly, and a bit recklessly, you dashed up to the chair, trying to catch Norton off guard. It worked well enough to successfully get Ganji off the chair, but it you lost all your courage with it. You didnāt have it in you to body block, so you simply planned on going back to decoding duty while Ganji attempted to kite once more.
Well, thatās how you thought it would play out. When you booked it away from the chair you scrambled into the hospital and up the stairs, making your way to the untouched cipher on the second floor, being extra mindful of the gapes in the floor. It wasnāt til you were starting the cipher you heard Ganji call out that the hunter had changed targets. Before you could even register anything, you started hearing your heartbeat in your head, then the next thing you know youāre entrapped between two giant arms attached to an aggravated looking Norton. You shivered at the sudden pressure of the cold wall youāre now pushed up against. A small moan threatened to release from the mere contact with him.
You wanted to come up with some kind of excuse or reason that would soften the blow of the punishment that was soon to be delivered so graciously to you, but the damned hunter hasnāt given you a second to think so far, so why would he now? You bit your lip as his cold, rock constructed hands, traveled up your shirt, sending shivers through your entire body. One of which trailed far up to grip your neck. Not hard enough to hurt you just yet, but enough to make it a bit red.
āWhatās wrong, doll face?ā His voice was horse and filled with mockery. He felt no pity at your shook up face. āYou werenāt this scared when you came up to the chair, huh?ā He asked, hot breath tickling your nose. Fearing that youād only make the situation worse, you decided to stay quiet for now as to save the little words you had before your brain inevitably turns to mush.
āThat wasnāt rhetorical, brat.ā he spat before roughly tugging at the top of your shirt, ripping the fabric so he could roughly squeeze a handful of your breast. The rock his hands were made out of pierced the plush skin, drawing up blood from the pressure. A mewl escaped your lips, rolling off your tongue as your skin stung from the rocks that threatened to tear through it.
āPlease..ā the whimper snuck out of your mouth, pleading for him to not only be gentler, but also to spare the cruelties you knew were upon the dark horizon. Norton was a smart man, almost annoyingly so. He knew exactly what you wanted by the glimmer in your eye. That was too fucking bad.
āIf youāre gonna wanna come close to enjoying this, youāre gonna have to work for it, slut.ā he growled, his guttural voice dropping, just like how his belt did. The sound of the ramshackle zipper echoing through the grey hospital halls. Only thing left to do was pray..

my youth is yours ā jeno
NOTE. hey š®āšØ sorry for ghosting
PAIRING. jeno x reader
GENRE. hurt/comfort, angst
SYNOPSIS. entering adulthood with you long-term boyfriend, jeno
WARNINGS. dis might hurt bc iz lil realistic š«
W/C. 3.1k
masterlist āµā (ā oā _ā Oā )
Is love something you can learn, or is it engraved in your bones the moment you open your eyes to the world? Is it something you master, or something you feel on a random Thursday night after spending the day with someone who made your heart skip a beat? Is this something you develop after years of spending every moment of your life with the same person?
Because, to you, love means only one thing. Love can only come from one person. Love can only be felt with Jeno.
No, you didn't grow up together or meet in a special way. He was merely there, but it suddenly felt like more.
The two of you met in high school. It was nothing special. High school brings you into contact with a large number of people. You create a lot of friendships in high school. But it was Jeno, and one day you were paired up with him on a minor project set by your teacher because she would be gone for a short while.
Before long, a bond formed between you, blossoming into a friendship that extended beyond school hours. You'd hang out after classes, help each other with homework, and share late-night thoughts, and the absence of each other during the day would leave the day incomplete.
Everything proceeded at exactly an appropriate paceāit wasn't rushed or fast, nor was it painfully slow. It was just right with Jeno.
Looking back at your first few years with him, it seemed so natural and carefree. Seeing him was like having a ton of weight lifted off your shouldersāof course, the same is true for him. You appear as though you wince at his corny antics, but deep down, you both know that you feel the same way. He kept telling you, "Your love fills me up with so much happiness," at every opportunity he gets, and you love it every single time.
He radiates joy and warmth, and despite his kindness to everyone, he always makes you feel uniquely cherished. In his eyes, you're not just anyone; you're everything.
And it hasn't changed from high school to this point in college. As you approach adulthood, the love that accompanied your growth as an adolescent lingers.
Jeno's voice stops your thoughts with, "Bub, what do you want for dinner?" Glancing to your side, you notice him fixated on the road. After a long day at the university, you are currently headed home to your shared flat. Because you both decided to attend the same college and because it is obviously less expensive to stay in the exact same place, you both saved money for the apartment you are currently residing in. You both agreed that returning home under the same roof is the best choice for the two of you because you will both become busy over time.
When the red light came on, he looked at you and said, "Should we drive by your favorite restaurant and just order so we could go to sleep early?" after noticing that you were spacing out for the nth time.
"Huh? Oh, okay, bub. I'd love that," you replied upon hearing his voice, feeling as though you were suddenly snapped back to reality, anchored by the sound of his presence.
"You must be so tired, hmm? Is it Mr. Chua again?" he asked, his tone filled with understanding.
You chuckled at the mention of the infamous professor you often vented about. "No, he wasn't around today, actually. I was just really tired from all the lab work I did earlier," you replied, appreciating his attentiveness to your daily struggles.
He acknowledged your reply with a hum, and he skillfully threaded the steering wheel through the drive-thru. He ordered you your usual and gave you an affectionate smile. The vehicle filled with the soothing sounds of the radio and the faint hum of the air conditioning as the sun started to set. You felt warm and cozy even if the temperature inside the car was very cold because you knew that you were heading home with the love of your life.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, he reached out for your hand, and in a tender whisper, he said, "I love you," as he began parking at your apartment's parking lot. The simplicity woven into every second spent with each other, filled with love and care, is the kind of love that is true and right.
Your evening flew by, and your early bedtime goal was quickly abandoned as you spent the entire night watching movies with Jeno. However, when spending time with him replenishes you more than a peaceful slumber, what good is sleep?
Sleep is what your body needs, and you just ate your own words when you fell asleep on Jenoās shoulder.
He noticed that and chuckled lowly. He reached for the remote and quickly turned off the television before positioning himself to properly carry you back to your shared room. He knew that waking you up would be of no use because you are a very heavy sleeper, and you hate it when your sleep gets disturbed, so he tried his best to be as gentle as possible so you would stay in your peaceful slumber.
He laid down on his side of the bed after tucking you in and planting a gentle kiss on your forehead.
A lot of your evenings went by like that. Spending a quarter of your day in college and going home with him. It has become your perfect daily routine. Although there are times where Jeno fails to drive you home because of how demanding his course is, you end up going home alone, and commuting is an extreme sport. Sometimes, it will be too hard to hail a taxi because of the rush hour and all the other students going home at the same time who are also desperate to rest. Sometimes, even if it was Jeno who said he would come home late, you end up arriving home later than he did. But what is adulthood without a bit of suffering?
āLove won't make you rich,' that's what you heard from your mother when you said you were dating Jeno. Of course, your love hasn't always been a pleasant sight for everyone. You began dating in high school; of course, people would think you're foolish to enter into such a commitment at such a young age.
There are times when you wonder if your mother was right, especially when you and Jeno fail to pay rent on time, struggle to find part-time jobs to feed the both of you, and add your stressful college work to the mix.
But all your worries will soon disappear in the wind because it's Jeno you are facing those problems with, and eight years of sustaining yourself doesn't seem so hard because there is Jeno, who is your lifeline, your anchor, and your foundation. And even if the world turns its back on you, there is Jeno ready to face all of your worries, your fears, and your doubts because it's Jeno, the one who loves all of you.
"Good morning." You heard Jeno talk from the hallway.
You furrowed your brow in confusion. 'Why is he still here? ' you thought to yourself. It's Saturday, and you both have work, but your shift is at noon, so you didn't bother getting up early, unlike Jeno, who has a 9 a.m. shift.
Jeno has been waking up late several times since last month. If he is not absent, he will be late. It's always been like that. You haven't spoken to him about it yet. You have developed an unspoken rule in your relationship that there are situations that you can tackle on your own because you are both adults.
"Why aren't you at work?" You tried to sound as considerate as possible, but it's his life at stake and your apartment. If he doesn't come to work on time or at all, they will deduct his pay and, in the worst scenario possible, fire him.
"I don't feel well." He simply answered.
"You haven't been feeling well for a month. Wanna go to the hospital?" you suggested.
"It's not really that serious for a hospital, bub," he reasoned out.
"But it's serious enough for you to miss work for a month?" You said without looking at him, not being able to contain it anymore.
You heard him sigh before he headed to the bathroom, and you shook your head. Jeno, on the other hand, thought it would be best not to say anything.
You took your last sip of the coffee before heading to the sink, and you saw the overwhelming tower of unwashed dishes. It's 11 p.m., and your work is 20 minutes away from home if you are lucky enough to hail a cab the instant you come out of the building. Washing these plates will take a lot of your time, but if Jeno doesn't have the energy to wash them today because he is not feeling well, then that leaves you no choice. Good thing you already took a bath and wore your work clothes; you wouldn't have to rush later on.
It's times like these when you realize that you two are no longer the teenagers you once thought you'd remain forever. Those teenagers have now grown, with bigger responsibilities and greater disappointments to confront.
You finished the dishes and gathered your belongings before preparing to leave. However, as you reached for the doorknob, you noticed Jeno standing in the hallway, simply gazing at you.
"I will make it up to you," he said, and all you could do was smile at him before heading out.
All day at work, your thoughts were consumed by himāwondering if he had enough food at home and if he was resting well. This wasn't the first time you'd encountered issues between the two. Despite the absence of major fights and screaming matches, deep down, you knew that things were not okay between you.
After long, tiring hours at work, you received a text message from Jeno that said, 'I'll pick you up from work, bub. I love you.'
You smiled at the notification. He really was making it up to you, and you couldn't even be mad at him anymore.
And he's really there. As you closed the shop, not very far from where you stood, you saw him immediately. Suddenly, you are ready to face everything again because he is there.
You walked up to him with a huge smile, as if you hadn't worked for hours without a break. It was worth it when you're coming home with him.
The drive home was eerily quiet, with only the sound of your breathing audible amidst the corny jokes from the radio DJ. Despite the windows being open and the air conditioning turned off, the chill of the night air seeping in was enough to send shivers down your spine.
As the red light halted the car, you turned to gaze at him, only to find that he was already looking at you with the same love and contentment that had been evident in his eyes since your first year of high school. Now, after eight years together, you were both getting older yet still together, sharing each moment with him by your side.
You had hoped the problems were behind you, believing that your love and understanding would be enough to overcome any challenges that came your way. However, a week after your minor argument, Jeno attempted to return to work, only to find that his employer no longer wanted him back after a month of slacking. This turn of events took a significant toll on both of you, adding to the weight of your existing concerns.
"I'm sorry, bub. I'll look for another job next week, I promise."
The rent was due on Monday, and luckily you saved up enough money for three months after working extra hours since the start of the year.
"I told you to tell me if you have problems, didn't I? For a month, I didn't hear anything from you, and look where it got us? Jeno, it's our finals! We also have expenses for school, not just here at home! If you were too exhausted to work, then you could have just told me." All your pent-up frustrations spilled in an instant.
"I didn't want to burden you, love."
"Jeno, since when have you ever been a burden to me?"
He walked over to you and enveloped you in a hug, and that was when your tears began to flow. Both of you were graduating students, each with your own set of responsibilities and numerous financial challenges to navigate. In the face of it all, you couldn't help but wonder: Is love enough?
"Jeno, it's like I don't know you anymore." You began
"Bub, don't say that."
"I just want you to talk to me. Tell me your problems. I know there are things you can handle by yourself, but at least include me. You have me. I am here for a reason."
Both of you became even busier after that, balancing the demands of studying for final exams with juggling part-time jobs. Jeno faced the added challenge of finding work amidst his other commitments.
Your schedules became so hectic that you no longer went home together, and there were nights when Jeno arrived home so late that you would already be asleep, only to wake up to his departure in the morning.
Your entangled nights became two parallel lines. Quiet and comforting evenings grew even quieter without the presence of others. Every night, you realized that you and Jeno were both growing older and, simultaneously, growing apart. It's something inevitable, something you never wished for, yet something you are currently witnessing with your own eyes.
But growing apart is not contextually synonymous with loving each other less. The love is still there, and the care is still present. That is the reason why both of you are working so hardābecause you love each other.
Both of you became so busy to the point where your only connection was coming home to the same house. Suddenly, home felt like nothing more than four walls and a mini fridge, lacking the warmth of four limbs and lips to kiss.
But surprisingly enough, after many weeks, he offered to pick you up from work.
"Keep your eyes on the road," you told him when you noticed him stealing glances at you.
"I love you, bub," he said, prompting you to look at him.
You smiled and replied, "I love you more."
"When is your oath-taking ceremony?" he asked, trying to make conversation amidst the silent drive home.
"I don't know yet. Maybe a few months after graduation."
And then it died down again. But does the silence matter to you when, after so many weeks, he is here beside you again?
He is here.
And that's all that matters right now.
"Should we take the long way home?"
But even a single beautiful night couldn't alter the looming storm heading your way. It's a heart-wrenching inevitabilityāthe painful reality of growing apart.
With each "sorry, I can't pick you up" message and every missed call accompanied by a new excuse, the weight of disappointment settles deeper into your heart. Gradually, you find yourself numb to the ache, accepting it as the new normal.
"Bub, please respond," you pleaded, your voice trembling with emotion, as you left yet another voicemail after he missed your calls for the nth time. It's Saturday, and the rain outside matches the heaviness in your heart. You figured he must have finished work earlier than you, so you were counting on him to pick you up. But his cell phone remains unattended, and it's been 20 agonizing minutes of waiting in the pouring rain.
You hated the rain, and he knew that all too well. After a few more minutes of waiting in vain, you were left with no choice but to reluctantly take the train home alone since there are no cabs at this hour. The frustration and disappointment welled up inside you, reaching a breaking point.
"I'll sleep at my mom's house just for tonight. To cool off," you murmured to yourself.
At the train station, your phone buzzed incessantly, and when you finally answered, it was Jeno calling you countless times.
"I'm here; where are you?" his voice came through, accompanied by the sound of the rain.
"I took the train," you replied simply.
"You could've waited," he said, frustration evident in his tone. "I drove all the way here from work; it's almost an hour drive."
"I did wait, Jeno. What are you trying to imply?" you countered, feeling a mix of irritation and hurt.
You heard him sigh heavily on the other end of the line, and you pursed your lips in frustration.
"I'm tired, Jeno," you said wearily.
"So am I."
"Is that so? Okay, I'm sorry for making you drive in the rain. It won't happen again. And just so you know, I won't be coming home tonight."
Through days, weeks, and months of hardly seeing or talking to each other, you both somehow made it through college. Despite everything that happened, there's this overwhelming sense of pride you feel for each other. Maybe, just maybe, it was all worth it in the end.
The high school love you both shared has now transformed into something more significant. The youthful days you once had together are now just memories as you step into this new chapter of your lives.
It feels right with Jeno, but amidst the familiarity, there's a subtle shift, a tinge of bittersweet realization that things have changed.
Both of you have accomplished your dreams, reaching the destinations you once only dreamed of. You've arrived at where you wanted to be.
"Hey!" Jeno called for your attention. You turned and saw him adorned in his gown and cap, and a profound sense of pride washed over you.
You embraced him, exchanging whispers of 'I'm so proud of you' and 'You did well'. Yet it wasn't the same; it was different.
Both of you have grown, realizing that your teenage dreams have come true, and here you are, all grown up.
The love you once held so dearly in your youth has gracefully reached its final chapter. Staring into each other's eyes, there's an overwhelming sense of emotion, an unspoken acknowledgment that what once was no longer isāit's over.
"Thank you for loving me," he said. "Your love brought me here, bub."

Candy Girl 4
Warnings:Ā this fic will include elements, some dark, such as cheating, age gap, noncon/dubcon, and other untagged triggers. Please take this into account before proceeding. It is up to curate your online consumption safely.
Summary:Ā as youāre about to take the next step with your boyfriend, doubts begin to arise.Ā (short!plus!reader)
Characters: Thor (boyfriendās dad/silverfox)
Authorās Note:Ā Please feel free to leave some feedback, reblog, and jump into my asks. Iām always happy to discuss with you and riff on idea. As always, you are cherished and adored! Stay safe, be kind, and treat yourself. <3
After a quick flight, both thankful to Thor and embarrassed that he witnessed his sonās behaviour, you donāt know if you ever want to go back. As much as you love Magni, youāre not sure if itās worth it. He never seems to want to do anything but play video games or sex. The latter remains a touchy subject for both of you.Ā
Youāll let Magni cool off, and yourself.Ā
This isnāt the end. You would know if it was. You send him your usual texts. Good mornings, good nights, and check in when you can. His lack of response isnāt unusual. Heās probably playing around with his bike again. You wonder if heās figured out how to put it back together yet.Ā
The days pass in a blur. You have work to keep you busy. With summer in full swing, you have more than enough driving around to do.Ā
Between deliveries, your mind wanders. Youāll have to talk to him face-to-face, get this sorted out. You're not mad at him. It was a bad morning and a strange night. You can move past it. Right?Ā
You grab the next order and check the address as you get in your front seat. Huh, itās in Magniās neighbourhood. Maybe you can swing by and surprise him.Ā
You turn the engine and blast your stereo. Rihanna pumps from the speakers, a bit scratchy, but still a bop. You hunch over the wheel as you follow the rush hour traffic, tapping the breaks as you crawl along. Finally, you get to a turn off and dip down some side streets. Ā
You turn down the A/C as the car begins to shake. You donāt use the air much, your old beater doesnāt much like any extra stress. You turn down the volume and give an anxious look to the venting in the hood. Thatās not smoke, youāre just imagining things.Ā
Before the job, you couldnāt tell left from right but now the whole city is imprinted in the back of your head. You know which orders to make quickly and ones where you can leave the car unlocked while you run up to the door. Magniās is the latter.Ā
You roll down the avenue lazily and come up before a big white house, squinting at the number on the front door. You get out and stretch, just a few more hours. You grab the insulated bag and the paper bag with the cans of soda. You bounce up the front steps and balance it all as you ring the bell.Ā
You wait, glancing around at the lush greenery. Itās kind of lame to dream of living in a place like this. Basic, your friends tease, but you just want to know what itās like. Maybe itās just as bad as what you have, just painted up nice.Ā
You canāt really complain. You have a roof and food and job. Could be a lot worse.Ā
The door opens and jolts you from your internal turmoil. You blink and step back, once more looking around. You know for sure you didnāt go to the wrong house. Thorās house isnāt even the same colour. So what is he doing there?Ā
āAh, little one, I was hoping it would be you,ā he booms.Ā
āHuh?ā You make a dumb face.Ā
āI thought itād be a fun surprise,ā he grins, āmy friendās,ā he points up then reaches into his back pocket, āthey suggested pizza and I told them I knew just the place.āĀ
āOh, wow, thanks,ā you smile and unzip the bag.Ā
āHmm,ā he hums as he counts out bills, āfunny, they got a little thing like you carrying around all that.āĀ
āMr. Odinson,ā you chirp, āIām not that small.āĀ
āSuppose most people are too me,ā he grins and holds out the money, ākeep the change.āĀ
You accept the bills with the pizza against your hip and the paper bag on top. You blink dumbly at the folded bills. He canāt be serious.Ā
āMr. Odinson.āĀ
āThor,ā he purrs.Ā
āThor, er, I think you miscounted.āĀ
āI didnāt, I have generous friends,ā he shrugs, āwe put in together. Now,ā he reaches to take the paper bag, āallow me to relieve your burden.āĀ
You gulp and tuck away the money. You finish unzipping the bag and slide out the pizzas. Itās awkward as the boxes are so big. He gets closer to help and you slide them right into his hand. As you finish unsheathing them, he steps back.Ā
āHow about you have a slice before you go?ā He offers, āyou have much to go?āĀ
āHalfway through,ā you fold the empty bag against your stomach, āthatās real nice, but they time us.āĀ
āOh, too bad,ā he nods, āwell, I suppose Iāll see you... havenāt lately. Not that I can blame you.āĀ
āOh, uh, Iāve been real busy,ā you say, not a complete lie. Still, you have been avoiding it.Ā
āYes, you work hard. Wish I could say the same of Magni.āĀ
āSorry,ā you frown.Ā
āSorry? For him? Heās not your responsibility. Only myself to blame, I am his father,ā he sighs, āanyhow, donāt let me keep you.āĀ
āThanks again,ā you try to brighten up. āIām... Iām going to talk to Magni tomorrow. It's my day off.āĀ
āAh, yes, well, I hope it isnāt a waste of time,ā he resigns and gives a wave.Ā
He stays at the door as you turn away, his words ominous as they leave an unsettling flutter in your chest. You hop down the steps and open the back door of your car. You toss the empty bag inside and close it, getting in the front. Ā
You shove the key in the ignition and twist. The engine rumbles but doesnāt flip. You huff and try again, leaning your weight into the effort. As the motor kick, you look up to find Thor still watching you from the porch.Ā
The engine turns and you sigh in relief. As you go to shift into reverse, thereās a pop, then a bag, and several more noises. The exhaust puffs one last time and the engine dies. No! No! Not now baby. We made it so far.Ā
You get out as black smoke plumes around the edges of the hood and you hear a shuffle from the porch. Shoot, shoot, shoot. Thor puts the pizza down on the bench and hurries down to you. As if you havenāt embarrassed yourself enough in front of him.Ā
āYou alright?ā He asks.Ā
āYeah, fine,ā you pout, āIām not worried about me.āĀ
āHm, may I?ā He gestures to the hood. You shrug.Ā
He pops it open and moves the stick to prop it up. He waves away the smoke and squints through it. You cross your arms and stand back. You wouldnāt know where to begin.Ā
āHmm, lucky it wasnāt a full blown fire. Fuel lines are rotten,ā he says and moves out of the path of the smoke. āOne finally burst.āĀ
āOh,ā you mope, āno...āĀ
āSorry, little one, itāll need a professional.āĀ
āUh, at least... I guess the tip will help with that,ā you sniff, ābut... I gotta work. What am I gonna tell Karl?āĀ
āKarl?ā He echoes curiously.Ā
āMy manager,ā you utter, āand my parents...ā You look at him, āsorry, this isnāt your problem.āĀ
āI would gladly take it on,ā he assures you, āwhy donāt you call Karl, tell him youāre having some difficulties, you canāt finish your shift.āĀ
āUrgh,ā you frame your forehead in frustration, ābut...āĀ
āI know someone who can look at the car. Iāll give him a call.āĀ
āOh gee,ā you huff and turn your head up, dropping your hands. āThis isnāt happening.āĀ
āDonāt worry, little one, I will take care of it. Please, itāll be alright.āĀ
You look at him again. It isnāt his responsibility and you shouldnāt let him but you donāt have much of a choice. What else are you going to do? Borrow Magniās broken motorcycle?Ā
āRight, Iāll... Iāll call my boss.āĀ
āPlease, I donāt like to see you upset,ā he says, ācall him then have some pizza and Iāll take you to mine. You can make up with Magni, eh? At least thatās something.āĀ
āThank you, Mr. Odinson,ā you give a bittersweet smile, āreally, you donāt have to do all that.āĀ
āAh, but why wouldnāt I?ā He winks and turns away, āBucky!āĀ
He stomps up the steps and pulls open the door, the pizza forgotten on the bench. He calls the same name again and you take out your phone. At least Karl is a nice guy. Heāll let you make it up once you get your car running again.Ā

I was cooking (literally) š¤
Trafalgar Law x fem!reader.
(Angst?)
@the-fluff-piece @sailor-cosmic-horror (idk what blog to tag š)
Part 1 is here
"Fuuuuuckkk" (y/n) groaned as Bepo tilted his head slightly.
"What's wrong, (y/n)...?" He asked cutely
"Ah... it's nothing... but fuck- my side hurts..." she laid back down with a grunt, "everything hurts..."
"A-ah?! I should call captain!"
"No-!" She yelled back, "I mean... no... it's not that kind of pain... well I mean it is kinda painful physically, but... not the pain I'm complaining about..." she sighed deeply.
Bepo merely hummed and sat beside her, "when you told captain how you felt and passed out... he panicked. I don't think I've ever seen him so panicked and stressed like that before." He admitted, "and when I asked him why he was like that, there was no clear answer... like he changes his story every time I ask a question. And once you were better he just... stormed out. It's weird... he'd usually check on his patient's condition before leaving..."
"O-oh..." she mumbled.
'I messed up this time... Huh? Do I talk to him? He might be mad or weirded out because of my confession... if only I didn't tell him all those things! I thought I was gonna die! Goddamit!!' She thought before frowning.
"Uh... you need to rest, okay? I'll check on captain first, then I'll come back to you..." Bepo said as he left
She just sighed deeply, "I need to make this right. If I just kept it a secret to the grave... to be fair, he would never let his crew die on him... no one really died in his hands, unless for enemies." She muttered.
A few hours later, she didn't realize she had drifted off to sleep. Only to be woken up by a warm hand softly clearing the hair away from her face.
Her eyes slowly opened before groaning, "again with the fucking light."
A deep chuckle echoed beside her, one that was highly recognizable by the human ears.
"C-captain?!" She gasped as she looked at him standing over her.
"How are you feeling? Sorry I stormed out like that... I just had to deal with some affairs of the sub. It was kinda damaged from the battle. Though I had Bepo check your vitals. I guess he forgot to do that..." he explains as he adjusts the tube that gives her some IV.
"A-ah..." she sighed before humming, "hey... captain. Can I ask you something?"
"Hm? Sure" he muttered as he scribbled down the clipboard.
She stayed quiet for a few moments, thinking of what to say; "remember what I said...? Before blacking out...?"
Law paused for a bit before sighing and nodded, "yeah... I... I do..." he muttered before placing down the clipboard and pen, "how... how long?"
"What...?"
"For how long have you felt this...?"
Her throat starts to dry and close up as she looked away, "quite a while now..."
"I need the exact date."
She took a deep breath, "I think... a year and a half... I'm not too sure though."
"So... you kept this to yourself... for a year a half...? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He muttered, he was hurt. Obviously. He knows why, but doesn't want to admit it.
She sighed deeply once more, "because I know you wouldn't feel the same about me..."
Law snapped his head to look at her in such a shocked manner. His wide eyes and a slight frown.
She didn't see it but it was fairly obvious.
"What do you mean...?"
"Cut me some slack, captain. The crew knows your stance on relationships... you just don't do them." (Y/n) muttered, her words getting choked on her throat, making it hard to speak. Her vision blurring with tears.
Law could only look at her with clear confusion and shock, "look... don't trust everything the crew says. Most of it is just rumour anyways." He grumbled a bit before holding her hand, "look. I didn't mean to make it seem like that, but in reality... I... I like you too... I just... didn't know you felt the same..."
She finally looked at him with tear filled eyes before sniffling, "really...?"
"Yes, really" he smiled softly before bringing her hand up for him to kiss, "when you get better, I'll take you out... what do you say?"
"Oh captain..."
"Law... just call me by my name now"
"Law... yes... please"

KISS AND TELL ā³ C. SOOBIN
ā synopsis: you and soobin had been best friends for as long as you could remember and during the course of your friendship you developed a crush on him. Could confessing be the right way to go?
pairing: choi soobin x gn!reader
genre: fluff, best friends to lovers au
word count: 1.3k
warnings: not proofread so there may be a few typos I didn't notice.
"(Y/N)!!"
Not failing to recognise the voice, your door was busted open as Soobin excitedly ran into your room and leaped on top of you disrupting your once peaceful relaxation in bed.
"Geez Soob, you're so heavy dude." you groan in pain feeling his weight on you as he laughed.
Choi Soobin had been your best friend for the past eight years and over the time you managed to developed a small, tiny, itsy bitsy HUMONGOUS crush on him.
I mean who could possibly blame you, Soobin was adorable, funny, had the cutest chubby cheeks, pretty eyes, tall, handsome and had such a caring heart.
Just perfect.
"I just missed my best friend." he said giving you a tight hug not moving in the slightest no matter how much you tried pushing him off of you.
"Okay, now get off before I tickle you." you tell him still attempting to use all your strength to get him to let go.
"Say it back now or I'm not moving," he interjected as he lifts his head sticking his tongue out at you teasingly.
Feeling your cheeks heaten up at the close proximity you were both in, you mentally debate whether or not to say it back but decide to rather stay quiet having secretly enjoyed this affectionate side of his.
"So we're just gonna stay and cuddle like this?" you ask shyly as he nods with his head laid between the crook of your neck.
"Not unless you say it back, unless you didn't miss me," he tells you.
"Well ofcourse I missed you... now get off," you admit to which Soobin chuckles holding onto you even closer.
"No I'm good, it's more comfortable this way," he teases you as you only sigh in response.
It was the things like this Soobin did that made your heart want to beat right out of your chest.
He wasn't even actively flirting with you and yet he had you wrapped right around his finger.
You then slowly reached out your one hand to gently massage his head since you knew how much he enjoyed those and you both stayed laying in bed that way enjoying the comfortable silence.
Using your other free hand to busy yourself on social media, you soon found yourself scrolling through Tiktok and came across one challenge in particular which caught your attention.
'Kiss your best friend challenge'
You had seen a few people doing this challenge all over your feed, some being successful whilst others... weren't.
What was crazy was the fact that you were actually considering trying this with Soobin.
I mean there's absolutely no possible way he would even kiss back, all you were to Soobin was his best friend of many years and despite being happy with that title, you knew you wanted more out of it too.
Seemingly lost in thought, you're brought back to reality feeling Soobin poke your cheek.
"You okay? You zoned out for a good minute there," he asks poking your cheek again playfully as he showed his infamous dimpled smile.
"Huh? Oh uh, yeah, I'm okay Binnie. Just thinking." you tell him smiling softly to not worry him.
Could you ever really confess to him?
This challenge could either make or break your relationship with Soobin and you weren't sure you were ready to take that grand leap of faith that could change everything between you both.
Be it for the good or bad.
Honestly the logical side of you was saying no but your heart and intuition was saying you had to take the risk to see results.
And that's what you were going to do.
"Hey Soobin?" you called out to him as he hummed in response.
"Could I try this Tiktok with you?"
"What's the challenge?" he asks curiously sitting up as you did the same.
Setting up your ring light to use as a tripod, you then set the phone in front of where he was seated.
"Don't worry. You just need to sit next to me and look pretty like always."
You proceeded to set the timer and countdown and waited for the music.
Making your way back to him, you sit down next to Soobin and he awkwardly smiled looking at you signalling to ask what is going on.
The music started playing and you held Soobin's hands placing them around your waist as he looked at you completely confused.
"Here we go," you mumbled under your breath.
When the timing was right, you gently placed your hands on his face and leaned in to kiss him.
Just as you were prepared to pull away and deal with the rejection you were left baffled when he kissed back!
Smiling into the kiss, you felt his grip tighten around your waist as he laid you down on the bed hovering over you to deepen the kiss.
You then realise what just happened and pull away and jolt up from your position in the bed as your eyes widen in pure shock.
"W-what in the world just happened..." you mumbled to yourself as your fingers gently touched your lips.
Looking over at Soobin who was turning as red as a tomato, you excitedly hug him as he hugged you back.
Pulling away, you let out a deep breath before confessing, "I like you Soobin... a lot."
"I like you too (Y/n)... a lot." he tells you shyly as you both laugh at the turn of events.
Maybe making the Tiktok wasn't such a bad idea after all.
"How about I take you out on a real first date soon? But before that, I have a suprise for you in the kitchen." He says sheepishly smiling as he looks down.
How can someone this big be so adorable, he's such a baby.
"Well what are we waiting for then, let's go."
He then crouched in front of you and usually someone would be suprised at this but Soobin sometimes enjoyed carrying you on his back.
You then hopped on his back holding on tightly and went on your way to the kitchen.
Soobin then sat you down on the counter as he proceeded to then open the oven and showed you the tray of bread rolls.
"You made those?" you ask as the whiff of the freshly made bread hit your nose
"Yep, and obviously it wouldn't be fun to eat them alone so I thought we could enjoy them together." he says looking proud of how his baked goods turned out.
He looked through one of the cabinets searching for plates and he got two out so you could both evenly share the rolls.
You both casually conversed enjoying the bread Soobin had made and before you knew it, your plate had been cleared.
In all fairness Soobin did an amazing job, it all tasted amazing.
Although it did seem like Soobin had one left...
Slowly maneuvering your hand onto the plate whilst he wasnt paying any attention, you stole his bread roll and ran into your bedroom as he chased closely behind you managing to catch up.
"Yah! I know you stole my last bread roll!" he yelled as he tackled you trying to tickle you in an effort to get his bread.
Finally giving in, you gave Soobin his bread as you laid in bed trying to calm yourself down from all the intense laughing.
He broke the bread in half giving you a piece and he playfully rolled his eyes as you thanked him.
Placing a quick kiss to his cheek you watched him redden in suprise and you couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.
"I'm glad you did that Tiktok challenge." he says pulling you closer.
"Yeah?"
"Because now I can actually kiss you whenever I want."
Nodding in agreement you finally closed the gap between each other feeling his soft lips on yours once again.
This was a feeling you would definitely never get used to.
And it was all thanks to a Tiktok challenge.
All you had to do was kiss and tell

Main Story | Act 13 - Budding Spring | Chapter 24 - Family Wish
Chikage: Well then, take care.
Company Employee A: Huh? Youāre not on the same flight, Utsuki-san?
Chikage: I still have a few errands left to take care of, so I switched my flight to tomorrow.
Company Employee A: I see. Well, you were a lifesaver this time. Thank you so much.
Company Employee B: It was thanks to you that we were able to successfully conclude our business negotiations, Utsuki-san. Their attitude towards the whole thing softened considerably compared to when we first asked.
Company Employee B: The power of language really is incredible.
Chikage: Iām glad I could help.

[BSTS] Main Story 5th Anni 'Painted Planets' - Team C Chapters
Team C Chapter 1
-starless lobby-
mokuren: Welcome to Starless, Saki. Thank you for coming to see our fifth anniversary commemorative performance. Iāve been waiting for you, Princess. From today onwards will be Team Cās show.
saki: Congratulations on reaching your fifth anniversary. Iāve been looking forward to your show.
mokuren: Fufu, Iām happy to hear that. I love hearing you say youāre looking forward to it. I love dancing knowing youāre in the audience as well. Please enjoy Team Cās show period. But still, five years is a long time. The years have really stacked up.
saki: How do you feel about these past five years?
mokuren: Who knows. Iāve stayed in one place for a long time. All Iāve done is devote myself to my dancing, atop the stage that you're watching.
saki: Fufu, that sounds like you alright. It's a relief to hear that.
mokuren: You think so? I don't think Iāve ever been told Iām a relief before.
saki: Really? You haven't changed, so it's comforting.
mokuren: Haven't changed? Comforting? ā¦I havenāt changed, huh?
saki: Mokuren-sanā¦?
mokuren: Ah, my bad. Iām glad that Iām a source of comfort for you. Thank you. It's just your words made me wonder if not changing really is a good thing or not.
saki: I see. I suppose itās true it could also be interpreted as meaning youāve stagnated.
mokuren: Iām curious, what do you mean when you say I haven't changed?
choice: your feelings towards dancing haven't changed / your approach to dancing hasn't changed
(both options have the same response)
>feelings towards dance
saki: I meant that your feelings towards dancing haven't wavered at all.Ā
mokuren: Hm, I see. My feelings towards dancing huh. So youāre referring to my relationship with dance then? That's because Iāve always come to Starless to dance.
Team C has changed in a lot of ways, yet all of that was also for the sake of my dancing. My relationship with danceā¦ Meaning that that is what appears as my highest priority?
saki: Sorry, I went ahead and said something strange right before your performance, didn't I?
mokuren: Oh no, don't worry about it. Iām fine. A lot has been on my mind lately, that's all. Like what does it mean to evolve? Can things really stay the same forever?Ā
saki: Huh?
mokuren: If neither evolution or consistency can be seen, then what if everything as we know it were to change? Where would weā No, where would I go?

Team C Chapter 2Ā
-backstage-
zakuro: My my, the sound of reverberating applause is proof of praise. It appears our show is a great success.
hari: The final dance part between Mokuren and Qu was stunning. The use of syncopation really brought forth the feelings of parting with a comrade, it was beautiful to watch.
kasumi: It was the definition of breathtaking for real. As expected of Team Cās leader and no.2.
mokuren: I seeā¦
qu: What's the matter, Mokuren?
mokuren: Nothing.
zakuro: Oh my, oh my oh my oh my. Your mouth says itās nothing but your face does not say that at all. Is something on your mind perhaps?
qu: Zakuro, no need to poke fun at them.
mokuren: Today, compared to usual, I wasā Ah, no nevermind. Did Saki come again today?
qu: Hm? Ah, yes she did. I spoke to her before the show.
mokuren: I see. Then later Iāllā
mokuren: Noā¦ I won't bother her. That's not what this is about.
kasumi: Genuinely, what's on your mind? Was there something about the show you were dissatisfied with?
mokuren: There wasn't any problem with the show.
qu: If something happened you can tell us, Mokuren.
mokuren: More importantly our show is done for the night. Everyone make your way out appropriately.
hari: Iāll be heading out then.
-hari, kasumi, zakuro and qu leave-
mokuren: There wasn't any problem with the showā¦ That is probably true. For now.
aogiri: Mokuren.
mokuren: What is it? I said to leave didn't I?
aogiri: Yes, I will be. But could I ask you something first?
mokuren: Go ahead.
aogiri: You're concerned about something, aren't you? It's probably not my place as the understudy to comment on your dancing, but it appeared as though your performance was unstable. Could it be that that is what's concerning you?
mokuren: Unstable, I see. Could you be the one who puts evolution into words? Aogiri, once this show is over, when do you think it will be that C takes the stage again?
aogiri: Huh? You mean our next show? Wellā¦ Iām not sure. There's five teams here at Starless. In order to strike a good balance of shows it might be a while before our next one.
mokuren: Exactly.

Team C Chapter 3
-street, day-
mokuren: You're out and about early. Are you headed to Starless, Qu?
qu: Yeah, that's where Iām headed. Are you in the middle of your morning run?
mokuren: Yeah, I went for a run around the area over there. You're carrying a lot of things with you today, what is all that? Documents?
qu: Ah, yeah. I was called in by somebody. There's some important documents that Iāll need to submit soon, so I need to think carefully about the future. Putting it bluntlyā¦ Iāll need to apply for a contract renewal and my visa will probably need to be looked at as well.
mokuren: ā¦That's surprising. I wasn't expecting you to tell me that so openly.
qu: Don't make it sound like Iām always trying to hide things. When it's a problem concerning my life here I have to be upfront about it.Ā
qu: Hari has already decided heāll be leaving the team, he said so himself. In the unlikely event that Iām forced to leave too, Team C won't be able to function.
mokuren: ā¦That may be true.
qu: Of course, Iām not trying to say that I will be leaving. That hasn't been decided yet. I wouldn't be here in this city talking to you otherwise. When I received the documents, a lot of mixed feelings welled in my chest. It made me realise just how fast the years have gone by.
mokuren: Everything can't stay the same forever. You understand that well, don't you?
qu: Fufu. It's already been five years since I started dancing at the renewed Starless. And four and a half years since Team C was formed.
mokuren: Really?
qu: Getting sentimental?
mokuren: No, not really.
qu: Hahah, that's just like you.
-time pass, starless hallway-
qu: What are you going to be doing? If you're stretching Iāll join you.
mokuren: Iām going to head to the stage for a bit.
qu: Ok. Iāll see you later then.
-stage, lights off-
mokuren: ā¦ā¦..
mokuren: How much further will I take my dancing here?

Team C Chapter 4
-backstage-
hari: Iām sorry for being late! Hm? Isn't it time for rehearsal?
kasumi: Mokuren was dancing in the rehearsal room. Theyāre probably still there.
hari: Again? They've been doing that a lot lately, practicing alone before rehearsals. Should I go and get him?
kasumi: Qu and Aogiri already went. As for me, I've accepted my defeat. Even if I wait it's not like I have anything to do. Do you want to rehearse random scenes with me?
hari: Sure, let's do that. Since it's not the opening show Iām fine with proceeding into the next ones as is.
kasumi: You're so dedicated, Hari~ It's a rare quality here at Starless.
hari: It's my job after all. I wouldn't call myself rare.
kasumi: Well, that's true too. By the way, is everything going well with uni and your exams?
hari: Yes, all good. The bar examination is over and the results will be out in November. Right now Iām on summer break. So Iām glad we were scheduled to perform second, if we'd been last it would've coincided with my classes starting.
kasumi: Your last summer break huh.
hari: Yes. Iāve spent it all coming here though.
kasumi: That suits you though. All that's left is to receive your credits and graduate. Time really just flies by doesn't it? Make sure you prioritise your schoolwork. If you come this far only to not graduate it'll all have been for nothing.
hari: Thank you for your concern. But rather than me, aren't you the one who has been busier lately?
kasumi: Huh? Have I?
hari: Youāve been showing up barely in time for your shifts, and the moment we finish closing up shop you head straight home. Things must be quite busy for you I assume? Since you work two full time jobs after all.
kasumi: The entire basis of a background character is that theyāre supposed to blend into the background. For me to bring myself such attention and appear busy makes me an awful background character.
hari: Itās a matter of personal opinion so I won't criticise you for it, but please make sure not to overdo it.
kasumi: Iām all good~! The situation at my work just changed a little is all. Once I get used to it I should have more free time.
hari: Is that so? Well, we all have our own circumstances.
kasmi: There's never a meeting without a parting. That's just the way life is.
hari: I look forward to seeing how the future changes.
kasumi: I really respect that optimism of yours.
hari: If that's all, let's take our places.
kasumi: Ahaha, roger that!

Team C Chapter 5
-outside shrine, evening-
aogiri: ā¦There really is a shrine out here.
zakuro: Oh my, could that be you over there, Aogiri? So coincidences such as this can occur. You don't strike me as the type to step foot in a shrine.
aogiri: I was told that you visit here often. It appears I was told the truth.
zakuro: My my, I do wonder whom you heard such a rumour from, however it is probably best not to know. If I were to prod the thicket something even more fearsome than a snake may appear.
aogiri: More fearsome than a snake you say? My, that would be quite scary indeed. By the way, Iām glad Cās anniversary show is being received well. Each day Iām stunned by the amount of flower stands we receive.
zakuro: That's why it's essential that we return their enthusiasm in kind day by day.
aogiri: However, it's been five years since the team was formed and the members have not changed since then. That's why, I don't think it would be unheard of for a transformation to occur soon.
zakuro: Indeed, indeed. Our leader is someone who detests stagnating and is always seeking out a new transformation. Before long, it wouldn't surprise me if the team's lineup or appearance changed entirely.
aogiri: You're pretty calm about it. This involves you too, does it not?
zakuro: Yes. I didn't just join C for no reason.
aogiri: Then youāll accept the transformation?
zakuro: If that is what fate decides.
aogiri: Is that so? It's true that a long time has passed since you joined Starless too.
zakuro: And it has been a year since you came to the store. I think it's about time we work towards a new transformation. Speaking of, there is something that Iād like to ask you, Aogiri.
aogiri: Me? Whatever could it be?
zakuro: Do you have a desire that you want granted? Starless is a place to fulfill oneās desires after all.
aogiri: Right. Well, if I may say it, I want to stand on our fifth anniversary stage.
zakuro: Hm, the stage huhā¦ Our fifth anniversary one. I see.
aogiri: Iām not looking to the gods or buddha to grant this wish. Iām directing it towards you.
zakuro: Meaning you're giving me an opportunity to make you indebted to me?
aogiri: If you want it to be that way, sure.
zakuro: ā¦I shall consider it. Thoroughly.Ā As you are surely already aware we must both be cautious.
aogiri: Yes, of course. I am aware that you are curious as to what my goal is too.

Team C Chapter 6
-backstage-
zakuro: Oh my, what a lovely applause. It's proof of Cās reputation.
kasumi: I think it's still a bit too soon for us to let loose though.
mokuren: Zakuro, why did you let Aogiri take your place in today's show?
zakuro: My my, I don't think there was any noticeable change in the show's quality either way?
aogiri: Mokuren, did I make a mistake somewhere?
mokuren: This isn't about mistakes or whether the show was a success. I want you to tell me the reason you gave away your position as singer. Why didn't you perform?
zakuro: My, I was not aware that you held my singing in such high regard.
mokuren: Zakuro.
zakuro: Oops, appears I took my jest too far. If I must admit, it was for the sake of fan service. To properly commemorate our fifth anniversary.
qu: You mean fan service for the guests? It is true that the show had a different vibe with Aogiri performing.
mokuren: ā¦Hah.
zakuro: Oh my, what a scary face that is.
kasumi: I do get what Zakuro is trying to say though.
hari: However, I think he should have discussed it with Mokuren beforehand.
aogiri: Allow me to apologise, Mokuren.
zakuro: I figured you'd be happy about it but it appears the result was the opposite.
mokuren: Is that your answer then, Zakuro?
zakuro: Hm? Um, well yes.
mokuren: I see. I get it. If giving away the stage is what you chose, then so be it.
aogiri: Was my singing not to your liking?
mokuren: I didn't like nor dislike it. I simply thought āIs that so? So this is what you prioritise?ā. The show is over, Iāll be going now.
-mokuren leaves-
qu: Mokuren.
aogiri: They'reā¦ mad, aren't they? I apologise for getting you all involved in this.
hari: I had fun. However, itās not good to make rash decisions on your own without informing others.
zakuro: True. That was my mistake. Next time I will make sure to be more careful.
qu: ā¦Iām not so sure. I feel as though the problem lies elsewhere.

About A Boy: Final Part
Pairing:Ā Dean Winchester x Female!Reader
Word Count:Ā ~2.3k
Warnings:Ā canon angst and violence, extra angst
Summary:Ā Dean gets turned back into a teenager and realizes one thing: his Mark is gone. Is this his salvation or his downfall?
Season Ten Masterlist
Authorās Note:Ā I do not own anything from Supernatural. All credit goes to their respective owners. I love seeing any and all comments <3
x
"Yeah, we have that stuff in the trunk," Sam clears his throat. "So, we'll get you changed back and light Sabrina's ass up."
"About that," Dean chuckles. "It turns out, this whole freak show has an upside." Dean pulls his shirt sleeve up to reveal his arm doesn't have the Mark. "The Mark is gone."
"How?"
"This witch slammed me back into the body I had when I was fourteen. I didn't have the Mark back then. If we reverse this spell, it's gonna come back. What if we don't?"
"Wait a second. Are you saying you want to stay like this?" you ask.
"No, but if it's between a psycho rage monster/borderline demon or a teenager, well..."
"Really?"
"Look, I'm not a fan, either but this is a problem solved. I'm still me. I can still hunt. I'm just, you know, dewier."
"You kind of have a point, but--"
"There are no buts, Sam," Dean cuts his brother off. "Good news is I have a virgin liver. So, what do you say when we're done doing our hero thing, we take her for a spin?"
"Yeah, sure. I mean, you can drink again in like seven years?"
"That's not funny," Dean says seriously.
"That's kind of funny."
"That's not funny."
"It's kind of funny," you smirk.
Silence fills the Impala and something comes over Sam and Dean. Both brothers are thinking the exact same thing. If Dean never changes back, what's going to happen when they shove a fourteen-year-old soul back into your body? Did Dean's soul revert back to that age, too? If so, did yours? Does this mean your soul is purely white now?
Sam arrives at the house Dean was kept in and immediately follows his brother to the small window he escaped from. This window is too small for either you or Sam to fit through so you'll have to find another entrance into the basement. There is a light on inside the house indicating someone is home.
"Looks like someone's home."
"We gotta get Tina out first. The window is still open."
"There is no way I'll fit through that," Sam says.
"First time you ever had to say that, huh?" Dean smirks.
"Big talk coming from the dude wearing underoos."
"Okay, good one," Dean nods. "Go find another entrance."
"Come on," Sam says to you.
Sam finds the back door and easily slips in. Tina and the witch might be upstairs but Dean is downstairs in the basement. When you get there, some big man has Dean in a chokehold. Sam hits the man in the back of the neck causing him to let go of Dean. The man falls to the ground and Dean joins your side.
"Don't!" Sam yells when he is about to get up. "Where's the girl?"
"Upstairs. Alive."
"What did you do to us?" Dean asks.
"Nothing. I'm not a witch. I just work for one."
"Shitty gig," you scoff. "Where is she?"
"Upstairs. Her name is Katja and she's the worst person in the world."
"I don't know. I work with this one," Dean gestures to you.
"Yeah, truth be told, I'm as evil as it gets," you smile.
"I've been with her for centuries. The things I've seen her do. She made my sister and I hurt and kill people. When we tried to escape, she caught us and tortured me, then she made me eat poor Gretel's heart."
"Gretel? Witch? Are you saying you're Hansel? Gretel and Hansel? Like the fable? Like Brothers Grimm?"
"It wasn't a fable." Hansel gets up and dusts off his pants. "It was based on a true story. They just gave it a happy ending."
"Oh, okay. We get to barbecue a celebrity. Cool," Dean shrugs.
"You can't kill her. You're just men and a woman."
"We're more than that." Sam takes out the Molotov cocktail that will be used to kill the witch. "We're hunters."
"Then let me help."
"What's in it for you?"
"Because if you're going to fry that candy-coated bitch, I want in."
"Tell me how to turn him back," Sam says and keeps the gun trained on him.
"Sam, it can wait," Dean sighs.
"Tell me how!!"
"The hex bag that I'm wearing will reverse the spell. Squeeze it and you'll return to your proper age." Sam lowers his gun. "Look, we waste the witch, I give you the cure. Deal?"
Once both brothers agree to the terms, Hansel takes all three of you upstairs. Katja is cooking in the kitchen and Tina is tied to a chair with a gag over her mouth. Katja chops onions up and places them into the large pot that's on the stove.
"Your friend JP didn't have much meat on his bones," she chuckles, "but a good cook works with the ingredients she's given." She tastes the soup and grins happily. "Mmm. Wunderbar!" The witch is originally from Germany so she'll put a few words in German from time to time. Tina cries quietly and Katja sees this. "Oh, don't worry, liebchen. You're too good for soup. I'm thinking of a nice, sweet chili glaze with a few hours of roasting in the oven. Ooh! An apple in your mouth to top it off."
Hansel steps into the kitchen alerting the witch.
"Hansel." You three appear behind him. You have a knife in your hand, Sam has a gun, and Dean has the Molotov cocktail in his. "Well, our lost lamb. I thought we'd have to go looking for you. Maybe even abandon our home sweet home here. I never dreamt you'd be stupid enough to come back on your own. Hansel, take care of them."
Hansel doesn't respond and walks to the right side of you, between you and Tina.
"Yeah, he's not exactly your biggest fan. Maybe you shouldn't have made him chow down on his sister."
Katja smirks and looks at Hansel.
"I never made Hansel do anything."
Suddenly, the knife is knocked out of your hand and Hansel pushes you into the wall behind you. He kicks Sam and grabs his gun, disarming him. Hansel quickly grabs you and places you in front of him, putting the gun to your head. Dean curses and tries to light the Molotov Cocktail but Katja uses her magic and sends it flying against the wall. The bottle breaks which means the spell is useless against her.
"Now, who's hungry?" she grins evilly.
Sam tries to move but Hansel shoves the gun further into your head.
"Don't move or I will kill her."
You're not scared, obviously, but you do value your life. If you were to make a move, he'd kill you. You'd like to live to see another day so you don't move an inch. Katja walks up to Dean and feels his arm.
"Ooh, scrawny. We'll have to fatten you up."
"Don't fucking touch me," Dean glares and yanks his arm away.
"I'm gonna do more than that." She walks back to the kitchen island. "Children. They're so sweet and delicious. You'll see." She looks at Hansel and nods once. "When I cook him up, I'll give you some, hmm?"
"If you like kids so much, why not go after kids? What's with this whole fountain of youth?" Sam asks.
"In the olden days, if a child went missing, it didn't matter. The young died all the time. Now, with all your AMBER Alerts and your milk cartons, a person fillets one rugrat and people get so angry. So, I improvise. I take adults no one will miss and give them back their youth. It's the only way I can eat in peace."
Sam slowly reaches into his back pocket where his knife is. Dean sees this and decides to stall the witch and keep the focus on him.
"Is it worth it? I mean, the word on the street is people kind of taste like chicken."
"A bit. European children are more free-range and gamier. Americans, though, are Heaven... fattier. The meat is so finely marbled that it's almost buttery. I just can't get enough."
"Awesome," Dean rolls his eyes.
"No!Ā IĀ am in awe. This is my first visit to your country, and I have to say, God Bless the U.S.A!"
"Oh, so, you're a tourist?"
"No. It's business, not pleasure. An old friend is causing trouble and the Grand Coven asked me to take of her. Poor, stupid Rowena."
"Rowena?" you bark out a laugh. "That bitch? Does she have red hair and have a thing for ritzy hotels?"
Katja drops the vegetable she is holding in shock.
"How do you know that?"
Sam finally gets his knife out without anyone noticing but you and Dean. He immediately lunges for Katja with the knife while Dean tackles Hansel to the ground. You jumped out of the way just at the right time so you didn't go down with them. You back up and stand next to Tina to watch this unfold.
Katja goes to stab Sam with her knife but he knocks it out of her hand. She uses her magic and flings him into the bookcase by the door, and he crumbles to the ground along with everything else on it. Hansel elbows Dean off him and grabs him by the collar to repeatedly slam him into the ground. Tina looks at you to see if you're going to do anything but you wave her off.
"He's fine," you shrug.
Katja opens the fiery oven, and Hansel shoves Dean three times against the fridge. Dean slides to the ground and looks at Sam who is too weak to get up. He looks at you and sees no regard for his safety in your eyes.
"Now you'll burn!" Katja yells. "Turn them!"
Hansel turns to you and Sam with an evil grin on his face. He grabs his neck where the hex bag should have been but realizes it's gone. He turns to Dean and goes white when he sees Dean has the hex bag. Dean clutches the bag and squeezes it, giving off a pure white light that is too bright to look at. Dean, now in his normal adult body, grabs the knife Katja dropped on the ground and shoves it deep into Hansel's chest.
He stomps over to Katja and shoves the hex bag into her mouth so she can't use any spells against him. She struggles against him but he shoves her into the open fiery oven and closes the door. She screams and begs to be let out but Dean closes the little door that lets the smoke out.
Dean didn't use the Blade to kill someone but he did take two lives. Your Mark is tingling in the most delicious way.
With the witch and Hansel dead, Tina is let go and forced to face the gravity of the situation. The brothers bring her outside the house to talk while you're off to the side picking the bark of a tree.
"That was crazy. Like psycho crazy. You three do this all the time?"
"All the fucking time."
"Not all the time," Sam mutters.
"Can you turn me back?"
"The hex bag went up in flames. I'm so sorry, Tina." She looks disappointed but not as much as she should. "We may be able to reverse engineer the spell, though."
She looks at her reflection in the window and decides to come to terms with who she is now.
"Maybe you don't. I have three ex-husbands, fifty grand in debt, and not much else. I was kind of a shitty adult. Maybe I'll do better this time around. Get out of town and get a fresh start. This is my second chance. Everybody wants a second chance, right?"
Dean looks over at you but you're not paying attention to them. Do you deserve a second chance? When she shoves this soul back into you, you'll remember every horrible thing you've said and done. Does he really want to do that to you? He'll have to make a deal with Death and put a wall in your head to make you forget.
That will be your second chance.
"Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Dean asks.
"Like I told you, I always am."
"Can we at least give you a ride somewhere?"
"To a bus station would be nice."
You and Tina head for the car and Dean sticks his hand out toward Sam.
"Give me the keys."
Sam and Dean take Tina to the nearest bus station while you stay in the car. Both of them give her all the cash they have so she can use it to get herself out of town. She thanks them and heads into the station, and the brothers return to the car.
"So, Grand Coven. Any ideas?" Dean asks.
"It doesn't sound good."
"It sounds like an 80's hair metal band. You know, a lot of hair spray, a lot of eye shadow, and a lot of keytar." Sam stares blankly at Dean. "No? Nothing? Come on, man. I'm painting a word picture here."
"Is it back?"
Dean sighs and lifts his sleeve to show that the Mark is indeed back on his arm.
"Look, I know what you're going to say, okay? But you were in deep."
"I know. You saved me, Tina, and Y/N. You pulled a Dean Winchester. Thank you."
"Anytime," Dean smiles.
"Do I wish the mark was gone? Yes, of course, on both of you," You roll your eyes, "but I wanted you back more. Here you are and you didn't Hulk out. I'll take the win. As for the rest of itāthe mark, everything else--we'll figure it out. We always do."
"Damn right. Let's get out here." Dean starts the car and he smiles when she purrs. "I'm back, baby."
Dean turns on the radio and Taylor Swift'sĀ Shake It OffĀ plays over the radio. Sam looks to Dean expecting him to switch the song but he keeps it playing. Sam continues to stare at Dean but the older brother shrugs and leaves it on. He peels out of the parking lot with it still playing.
"I don't know about you two but we need to figure out where the hell my soul went. I want my magic back."
"That's something considering you're out for blood."
"What can I say? I want to switch it up this time."
If you can get them to believe you want your soul back, then you can trick them into giving you the remote for the device on your neck. Your time is up on this ride, and you finally want off it.

In exile, c!Dream spoke about immortalisation once Iām pretty sure unless it was a joke the cc made about killing and reviving again and foreshadowed it but itās possible c!Dream either had used the book around the time or was just knew that it could revive and kill people but wow does it change a lot of c!staged only tested the book after prison arc and I believe it for the most part. Except in finale when c!tommy tells c!punz about how he tried offing himself, c!dresm tells him that he could have revived him. Doesnāt this imply c!dream knew about how the book worked around that time or is he telling him he would have tested the book on him even without knowing it worked, or revived him later on after the lazar vikk experiments. What do you think ?
[context]
I mean he had the revival book and even if he didnāt know 100% if it worked he could still be thinking about immortality and suchā¦ though hard to say much about the scene without knowing the context and I donāt feel like going on a hunt for it at the moment, but Iāve not seen that moment used as evidence for peopleās opinions on the revival book experiment timeline so Iām gonna probably say itās not of super importanceā¦
As far as the finale goes, firstly I like to as always point out that Dream is saying something to Tommy so already we should put our speculation hats on, because if thereās one person heās especially know for lying to, itās Tommy. Secondly, context is super key. In this instance [clip], Tommy is trying to play at Punzās humanity with his sob story, hoping to make him see how much of an evil monster Dream is [clip]. So, Dream is coming to his own defense of like - Are we supposed to feel bad for you? Does that really make me a bad person if I can bring you back and undo it? (as an aside, hereās that logical vs. emotional reasoning again btw for all those who read my essay)ā¦ but anyways, the point isnāt really about whether he could or would have brought him back then or later, itās more so him highlighting that Tommy is being over dramatic and it wasnāt that big of a dealā¦ if that makes sense. Itās about minimizing Tommyās feelings, while also adding defense to his own actions. Notice he doesnāt tell Tommy about how he knew he screwed up and went back to check on him [clip], itās not about what actually happened but about how in the grand scheme of things itās inconsequential, a theme he and Punz continue to highlight in these streams.
Later, Dream brings up the tower again, this time saying more so almost like the opposite, āYou had yourāyour tower moment right? Butāletās sayā¦ that it happenedā¦What you would have been in your limboāforever? You would have been fine with that? You would have been fine with leavingāTubbo behind and all of your friends andā¦ You keep saying āoh yeahāyou know, you can enjoy the momentsā you can enjoy the moments while still being Alive...ā [clip]. Notice itās not about the actual event but using that event to highlight a larger point. Tubbo and Tommy keep berating Dream the whole time for messing with the natural order and playing with death - whatās dead should stay deadā¦ yada yada. And Dream, just like how he called out how inconsequential Tommy and his gripes are, now uses that same things to highlight clingy duoās hypocrisyā¦ Iām really hoping that makes sense. In other words, it doesnāt matter - it was never about whether he did or didnāt actually have the book or ability back in Exile, it was about using it as a point of reference for Tommy to understand his reasoningā¦ā¦.
Hypothetically speaking though, if we just imagine for a moment Tommy did go through with the pillar: I think Dream might have tried to use the revive book on him whether it had been pre-tested or not. Not only because I think, Dream isnāt heartless and might feel bad about it. But also I think itād be a great opportunity to gain favor with Tommy as his savior and the rest of the serverā¦ huh thereās another AU idea: Dream tries to drive Tommy to suicide in Exile so he can resurrect him and become loved by Tommy and the server againā¦ (Iām sure that wouldnāt backfire or anythingā¦)
#yea it really does change so muchā¦. thanks for losing your mind with meā¦ staged duo is killing me#whatās with me and ausā¦. I just have too many ideasā¦ did I tell yāall I have over 40 drafts?ā¦ yeaā¦.#anyways I love watching punz be absolutely fuming while Tommy is trying to gain pity. because punz is likely just thinking about how Tommy#and Tubbo slit Dreamās throat just yesterday in cold bloodā¦. sue him for not feeling empathetic for over a year ago Tommyā¦ XD#dsmp#c!dream#dreblr#dream smp#hello there#no one does it like c!dream#dsmp finale#dsmp exile arc#c!tommyinnit#did someone order an essay?#c!dream and c!tommy#shit how did we start talking about Tommy again?ā¦. oh boyā¦. letās go! piss of drunz lovers and innitors 10/10 XDā¦#dsmpblr#c!tommy

Do you do isekai (someone from our time warped into Lackadaisy world) scenarios? If so, could I have a scenario cider involving a human female (either turned into cat or not) with a dash of Rocky Rickaby? Not neccessary romantic, just a developing friendship between a perpetually anxious out of place gal dealing with Rocky's shenanigans. I think he'd be VERY fascinated and ask ALL sorts of questions about the future.
The restraint I had to use to not turn this into a oneshot. Hoooo boy. Mixing drinks is hard when you like an idea so much you want to do more with it. Anyway Iām giving you a clothing item to make life a little easier regarding how Rocky even knows youāre from the future so stay tuned for that
-
A cafe is a pretty nice place to end up in when your whole world turns upside down. Not enough that Y/Nās suddenly thrown into the body of an entire different species, sheās also jumped back about a hundred years or so. Her body may have changedā(H/C) fur, a tail, ears not where theyāre supposed to be, new senses providing a nice little sensory Hellāand yet her clothes by some logic remained exactly the same. It was as if whatever god or deity that yanked her out of her present day life and launched her back in time couldnāt be bothered to change anything beyond her species.
But at least the food wasnāt much different. These human-cat creatures ate pretty much the same thing as plain old humans did and even spoke the same language, so ordering something wasnāt much of a challenge. Ignoring the weird looks the young waitress gave her from time to time, Y/N could idly chew on a french fry or two and watch her tail slowly slim down to a less puffy state out of the corner of her eye.
Until the bloody thing fluffed up again full-throttle at the cafe door being swung open and a boisterous silver tabby loudly greeting everyone in the cafe. The general response was best described as exhausted, but it gave Y/N the catās name: Rocky.
Getting Rockyās attention was as simple as existing. He stared at Y/N for a long enough moment that she wished she had somehow sensed that she was going to go back in time and had worn something a little more period appropriate. When he approached her, she felt her ears flatten against her head and a weird sound started from somewhere in her throat, one that ended in a low ādonāt you come near meā sound.
Huh. So thatās what hissing feels like.
Rocky backed off at the hiss, raising his hands in an āIām innocentā gesture. āTake it easy, toots, Iām not about to hurt ya. Miss Pepper, who is this?ā
The waitress looked over for a moment and told Rocky that she didnāt know. Y/N swallowed a threatened kitty growl and managed her name. Rocky took the seat near her, took off his hat and didnāt seem to notice when Y/N recoiled further at the nasty-looking scar going straight down his forehead. She was literally hanging off the edge of her seat at this point.
Rocky started talking to the waitress, often glancing at Y/N out of the corner of his eye. Now that she was no longer at the centre of attention she could relax a little bit easier. She pulled at the bottom of her graduation hoodie and fiddled with her hands (paws?) to try and soothe her claws before turning to Rocky with a question.
Rocky already beat her to it. He was practically right in her face, grinning so wide that it registered as a threat yet again in her kitty brain. However he spoke before she could hiss again or claw him or whatever her instinct was about to make her do.
āSo tell me. 2023. Whatās it like?ā

C/Tw. cheesy [cringey] shit ā you might wanna tread lightly on this one
āYouāre doing it again.ā
āDoing what?ā I looked at him.
He waved his hand in a circular motion. āThis. You look small. Youāre fidgeting.ā
I held my tongue to avoid saying sorry and make excuses. āI know.ā
He sat down in front of me and just looked at me in the eyes.
āWhat?ā
He smiled. āNothing. I know that you donāt need me saying anything else.ā He scratched his cheek then let his hand slide to the back of his neck. āBut you know I couldnāt resist babying you when youāre this vulnerable.ā
I pushed my foot towards him and tried to push him off but I should know better. This person in front of me is bigger and stronger than me.
āDonāt get sassy with me. We both know what would happen next if you continue this.ā
I couldnāt help but smile and blush. I covered my face and pulled myself back away from him.
āHey! Itās an even worse idea to move away from me. Get back here.ā He grabbed me by my ankles and pulled me close to him.
I couldnāt help but laugh. I avoided his gaze and tried to push him off but it didnāt stop him from embracing me and peppering me with his kisses. The softness of his lips tickled the skin on my neck and face.
āBaby! Baby, Stop!ā I begged as I laughed.
He stopped but kept me caged in his arms. We stayed silent to calm ourselves a bit. I can feel the room becoming solemn.
āYouāre thinking about things that donāt exist, huh?ā He spoke up.
āYeah.ā I felt his body melting. I pulled the both of us to lie down. āYou donāt have to worry about it too much.ā
āThat wonāt help me think about it less. I know I had a part in making you like this. I knew what you went through and I still managed to add to it. I donāt want to excuse that.ā
āWell, youāre here now, right?ā I put my hand on his arm and snuggled closer. āI should be looking at what youāre doing about it. And if I do get hit with panic about what happened in the past. Itās my responsibility to make peace with it and forgive myself.ā
He took my hand and placed it on his cheek. āI guess I should do the same. Make peace of the past. Make use of the present.ā He slid his hand on my stomach. āRaise some kids in the future.ā He chuckled.
I hit him on the chest as we laughed.
āOw. What did I say?ā
āStop making me blush! Itās embarrassing.ā I said with gritted teeth.
āWhy? You look cute when you blush. Especially since Iām the one making you-ā he kissed my cheek ā-blush.ā
I buried my face in his neck to stop him from getting any sort of victory. āThatās not fair. You always catch me off guard.ā I chuckled.
āThatās because you know youāre safe with me.ā He boasted. āMi amor.ā He botched the pronunciation of the words intentionally and it made the both of us cackle.
āStop making me blush and laugh. Itās just making me feel more in love with you.ā
āIt better.ā He scoffed. āBecause I need to remind all those extras that youāre mine and Iām yours.ā
I squeezed his cheeks together and made him look at me. āBaby, you scare everyone that you think is interested in me away. And you also scare the people that take interest in you away.ā
āBecause youāre mine!ā He snarled and hugged me tightly he changed his tone to a baby-like voice say: āAnd Iām yours.ā
I chuckled and felt my cheeks hurting from the smile stuck on my face. āI love you,ā I said with no hesitation.
āI love you more and most so I win.ā
I chuckled again. āI guess it does if you believe that youāre the lucky one in this relationship.ā
āThatās a fact. I donāt need to think about it because itās already a reality.ā

the timeline goes
00-18 years old: i have always been VERY babies by my parents. i wouldnt call them helicopter parents per se, like they always let me do the things i asked (tho i never drunk or partied or stayed out late and dont know how that wouldve gone), but they always... just really protected me, i guess? spoiled me even. theres an embarrassing amount of household chores i just dont know how to do because they never asked me to and im not the type of person that intuitively knows i should be doing something, for example.
they would sometimes look through me phone till i was about 14 or so, my mom had an app that would lock me out of my phone after a certain time until i was 16. they always talked to doctors for me, bought stuff for me, went with me everywhere. aside from the phone stuff, i never had a problem with any of this. i was a very anxious child and an even more anxious and scared teenager, so having my parents helping me with everything was not just great but something i genuinely needed otherwise i would be having meltdowns every day (i mean. for some time there i was literally having full blown meltdowns like twice a week even with their help, so). i was also always just kind of... childish, both in interests and, when i got in the older part of my teens, mentality.
like i said i dont know how to Do a lot of things. adult things like chores and idk scheduling a doctors visit or finding a job. its hard for me to know things intuitively, its stressing and difficult to learn. idk how much of that was that i never had the ability to learn and how much is the autism that means i need my hand held a little more than its normal.
anyways, i never noticed how much my parents babied me, like at all, until it was pointed out to me by the neuropsychologist assessing me for autism earlier this year. and i was like, "...huh. yeah. youre rights. my parents do everything for me."
it was a lightbulb moment but i was freshly 19 and out of school, terrified of having to Become and Adult, and didnt have any problem with it. yes please continue doing everything for me, the world is so scary, the amount of things i have to learn is overwhelming, im scared of growing up, please let everything stay like it is.
march-june: things stay like this. i keep hating myself for how incompetent i am, but make no move to change that. i take the tiniest steps towards getting a job but thats scary so i keep putting it off. lifes goes on, very slowly.
july: i spent a week at my cousins house. she lives in a big city (i live in a small one in the middle of nowhere), 3 hours away from my house. ive done that before but this time she's 23, im 19, and she lives mostly alone. its the happiest i feel in a very long time. my mom isnt hovering over me, demanding i tell her everywhere i go. i can just go out. alone. in a big, dangerous city. i can stay out late and she cant do anything about it bc shes 3 hours away. i can drink and she wont know. i just feel free
i dont actually do that much bc in my core im not really someone who enjoys partying. i stayed out until like 1am and drank half a bottle of beer (it tasted like shit), but it was the first time i did that ever and while my parents Were blowing up my phone asking why i hadnt told them i was home yet, what were they gonna do about it?
in the next day me and my cousin's older sister (27) stayed up until 5am just, talking. shes a lot like me in a lot of ways, and we both cried a lot bc of that. she told me how much better her life got when she loved out of our small city and went to live on the big city. how many more opportunities there are, how many people there are, how many gay people there are and people like us and jobs that i can never find living in the middle of nowhere and just so much understanding. so many possibilities.
july: i come back home. to my small room and my parents. to the same shitty job options ive been imagining my whole life. i feel like the older sister poisoned me, i cant stop thinking about moving out of my house, of this city. i never realized how unbearable the pressure was until i was free of it for a while. i cant lock my door because my parents will wonder whats going on, and ill have to make up a reason. i cant go anywhere without telling them how or where. i have to live in a house with their rules, of how ill eat and how much noise ill make and when ill clean. i am a person! i want to do my own things! what if i actually like parties and ive just never tried them? i want to get drunk! i want to live in my own time! i want to listen to music at 3am and i want to schedule my own fucking doctors appointments and i want to have my own money and i want to be able to masturbate without being scared someones gonna know! i want to wear clothes without being scared of them thinking its slutty! i want to eat fast food without a lecture! i want to be responsible for taking my own medicine! i want to fuck up and have to fix it myself! i want to never fucking smell coffee again, because i hate the smell. i want to learn how to clean a fucking bathroom! i want to be able to cry, LOUD, and scream when im angry!! i feel like im trapped in a box and ill never be able to grow while im here!!!
but im so used to the status quo and that would need just, so much change. and also money. first thing i would need if i want to move out is fucking money and like, im still so scared of getting a job. and they cant help much rn. so im stuck in the box and slowly feeling like im going insane. im incredibly thankful for that trip and how it allowed me to change but also i kind of wish it had happened when i could actually afford to move out. oh well.
#i would still need a lot of help from my parents#but that would be like... help im Asking for. not something thats done for me automatically#and just. idk. i want to do things by myself.
