hoooooo boy, back to HQ classique.

it was really fun to get to draw classic hq after all this time - cool to see how he looks now in my style after like, a bajillion years. (fr tho at least 5 lol)

anger!! i like how his cape kinda looks like fire, its very dramatic. his nose also immediately starts bleeding, as part of his sort of regression into his past state....

lq being like 'oh jesus christ i thought we were done with nosebleeds', jokes on you asshole its always nosebleed oclock in lq land

i had an extra face edit i didnt end up using:

this was going to be for a small aside of 'ok y'all don't be fuckin weird about this' to the audience as hes about to do a forehead press, but ultimately i figured they're kinda in their own world rn and idk how much lq remembers the audience is there

and then, of course:

i.... no joke, really really like how this one came out. drawing LQs profile has always been exceedingly difficult for me (there are some, uhm, faces out there on his blog that are.... bad lol. wack) but i feel like it finally clicked for me a bit? shrug

also i like how this is very much a visual metaphor for LQ where he was before, and now LQ where they are presently. also i like their little speech at the end, and at last the reveal of what tf lq was doing in the field.

So! technically today is the day that HQ came into existence. It’s correlated to LQ’s waking up event, so I figured I’d celebrate by sharing some interesting fanart/joke comics I drew??? Cause I haven’t made any really nice fanart of HQ yet but I shall!

I did a terrible thing for Mori bc I enjoy editing sprites and I rly enjoy LQ’s face like a lot so???

Edited some DR sprites of Fukawa/Syo into LQ and a bonus HQ sprite!!!!! bc i can’t actually draw so

edit; i didnt realize this til rn but both LQ's are.transparent....but HQ isnt??? and im not quite sure how i accomplished that.

I love the noise/static filter you put on it, reminds me of the LowRes images Mori uses on LQ’s blog

Couldn’t figure out what was the pattern on LQ’s chest but I think it’s a peach can?? That’s a really nice detail you put there oh my

Love how you used LQ’s red glasses instead of his brown ones, Christmas Spirit is real

The candycanes are coloured like LQ & HQ oh my heart (/ _ ; )

The tape on HQ’s reindeer headband is another nice detail, Christmas on a budget ahaha, also LQ’s Santa Hat makes a comeback

Some minor details I noticed: The white border seperating the drawings & the faint reflection (is that what you call it?) behind them are also nice. Makes them pop out of eachother & enhances the glitch effect more

Yes, I actually drew a lot of the top ones on and around the same day as the event but I hadn’t posted them yet so, the time has come! The bottom pictures of HQ or Hewitt were done yesterday and everything else is a lil’ bit older but they’re all still real nice!
