Thoughts on The Marvels
CW for spoilers, though most of this is me going insane about the characters and not the actual plot.
1. I'm not sure I get the plot but I love these women.
2. I love their superhero suits. They look very good in them but also the designs are pretty great on its own.
3. Carol being fine in a professional setting but becoming unsure and nervous when sheâs confronted by Monica is such a mood.
4. I've never cared much about him before but I do love Fury and his snarkiness and his dynamic with his "mentees" and most of all his style of motivation.
5. Val and Carol Val and Carol fucking Val and Carol
6. Also Val in a suit (well, i mean... women is suits in general)
7. I love Kamala as a fangirl (I think this is comic compliant, right). I love Kamala in general. Sheâs a teenager and she acts like a teenager and she's a very proud and loud fangirl, but she's also very competent and confident in what she can do.
8. Carol in a tanktop??? Carol in a tanktop!!! (Carol in a tanktop with the suit hanging around her waist) (But also Carol in a tanktop and those old style shorts)
9. Monica and her outfit on that musical planet >>>
10. Carol's princess dress? I love how it incorporates her symbol (not too crazy about the hair though, I like it much more just loose)
11. "He doesnât have to sing?" "He's bilingual." Loved that, 10/10
12. I love the Marvels' dynamic. Sometimes they bicker but they all take each other seriously, they take Kamala seriously even thought they don't really know her and she's a kid. They all feel like theyâre actually friends and like they actually care about each other. And then they were torn apart. I'm crying. Donât talk to me.
13. I love Kamala basically Nick Furry-ing it at the end and that she'll apparently be the one to put together the Young Avengers (or New Avengers? You know what I mean)
14. I also love that (if I'm remembering correctly, which to be fair I'm probably not so please correct me, I don't want to be getting excited for nothing) it seems like this new young team is an all women's thing so far.
15. This movie confirmed what I already suspected - I have no problem with strong female characters or movies about them. I do have a problem when it's framed as "this is a movie about a Strong Female Character and you, woman, are going to like it because Feminism. We're doing Feminism." Case and point - Captain Marvel didnât impress me much and I did find that Endgame final battle's all female scene cringy, but I love The Marvels and I really enjoyed Black Panther 2.
16. GOOSE HAD BABIES!! I donât understand how they happened but I love every single one of them.
17. Mutants!! The new era MCU doesn't have a very good track record but this movie was great and it makes me hopeful that the Mutants will be introduced well into the universe.
18. Also are my standards really low or was this movie actually funny? I laughed a lot the whole way through!

Murder On The Dance Floor (part 1)
(from the When the Cat and the Mouse Go For a Midnight Dance series) | Part 1 | Part 2| Marvel Masterlist
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x F!Reader
Prompt: Vigilante!Reader x Agent!Natasha
Summary: Natasha isnât having the best of luck in trying to bring one of the ex Hydras general down. You however may be able to assist her. Will you two be able to cooperate? Or is it your fate to always stand on opposite teams?
Warnings: None in this chapter.
WORD COUNT: 2510 (give or take)
A/N: Hello!! So, this is heavily inspired by the song Murder on the Dance Floor (duh). I think it really suits the dynamic between Agent Natasha and Vigilante!Reader, and I thought, okay, letâs actually write it instead of just thinking about it and eventually forgetting. There are a few changes from the canon universe. In this AU, the Avengers didnât separate after the Sokovia Accords (Iâm a child of divorce, okay), so theyâre a real family here. Peter is also part of the team and was never forgotten by every single human except, well Hulk (he deserves better). Natasha is alive and well, along with Yelena. And finally (last thing, I promise), this will be part of a mini-series. Maybe with three parts.Thatâs about it. Enjoy, and thanks for reading! :)
//
It was too late to do this. Natasha rubbed off the tiredness of her eyes for what must be the fifth time in the last fifteen minutes. This was getting ridiculous.
ââŠWhat if-â
âFor the last Yelena, we are not committing arson.â The blonde grunted at the quick dismissal, sliding down the synthetic, black leather chair. Crossing her arms with a tired pout, she didnt look much to different from the six year old girl Natahsa remembered. The clock in the conference room is getting more obnoxious by the second, as if teasing them to not having an answer yet.
Across the room, the sulked eyes of Benjamin Horvat were looking right back at her. His picture was poorly pinned, hanging unconventionally by a small blade (courtesy of Yelena) on the board. Steve wont be happy when he sees it.
âIt would be a small one! It wouldnât be that hard, just some small fires around some of his clubs, see if there is any luck and make him come out. Quick and subtle.â
âThere is nothing subtle in that plan Yelena.â Natahsa turns down again dryly.
Itâs been six hours since Yelena payed a visit to the renovated compound, bringing her 5 month old puppy Fanny (which is currently being spoiled by Wanda and Peter). She came in with new dirt onto a possible Hydra ex-officer, one of a depressing long list that the team has yet to tackle down. Most of them ran when SHIELD fell down.
The two of them plus Steve and Bucky, managed to get intel on Benjaminâs Horvat. He was currently involved is some kind of shady precious gem business, along owning some expensive clubs that served as covers for the mafia. At first glance, youâd say that he was just another second class criminal. But that as far as aparences went. Because people like him were worth something, he was heavily guarded.
His intel was precious enough to make him valuable and well-protected. Access to him seemed almost impossible.
The worst part was that he didnât even bother using conventional transport. Even after combing through all national surveillance, he didnât appear on any of the cameras. Not even Redwing, Samâs beloved drone, had managed to get a clear visual of him. It was almost as if heâd gone underground (which he hadnâtâNatasha checked). And despite his love for nightlife, the clubs he owned and frequented were highly exclusive, each with multiple layers of security clearance.
After a long evening, both Steve and Bucky called it a night, but the two sisters were too stubborn to let it go. They were both running out of ideasâor, in Yelenaâs case, running through a list of increasingly dangerous, borderline illegal suggestions. Eventually, exhaustion began to take over, and the blonde started dozing off, her head slipping forward as sleep crept up on her. Natasha wasnât far behind, her eyelids drooping as the hours dragged on.
But thenâa sharp, static crackle echoed through the speakers, jolting both women awake. Instinctively, they snapped into defensive stances, eyes darting to the screens around the room as they flickered in a disorienting pattern of black and white, struggling to stabilize.
Finally, the screens gave a clear image, revealing a shadowy figure cloaked in darkness.
âNight, ladies! Glad to see youâre still awake,â a teasing, lilting voice echoed through the speakers. âHuh, take out from Luigiâs huh? Their pizza rolls are to die for.â
Natashaâs eyes widened, a flicker of recognition sparking across her face. Her posture shifted, shoulders squaring as an unconscious surge of energy overtook her weariness. It canât be.
âIâd prefer pizza bites. Who are you?â Yelena asked, mirroring Natasha as she stood up. Sheâd clearly sensed the change in Natashaâs demeanor.
The redhead grabbed the tablet on the table next to her, attempting to trace the breach, but the system was completely overridden. Whoever this was shouldnât have been able to slip past their security. She called for FRIDAY, but the AI didnât respond.
âAw, come on, not even a hello? Do you know how long I spent trying to surpass that stupid robot of yours?â the voice continued playfully. âItâs been a while, Natty. I thought youâd be glad to see meâor, well, hear me.â
Natashaâs face remained painfully stoic, but her white-knuckled grip on the tablet betrayed her turmoil. She knew this person loved theatrics, but even for them, this was going too far. âHow many times have I told you not to call me that.â Natasha grunts in annoyance, a headache already starting to set in. There is a brief silence. She can practically see your pout from here.
âGeez, so grumpy.â
Yelena watches the exchange with curiosity, somehow not detecting a real threat. âI sense some... history here.â
âThere is!â
âThere is not!â
Both women snapped at Yelena, making her eyes widen as she instinctively stepped back, lifting her hands in mock surrender. âHa, when you say that, it usually means there isâŠâ she stated, amused. But the sentence died under Natashaâs withering stare. âAlright, just an observation. Geez, you are grumpy.â she muttered under her breath. Catching Natashaâs warning look, Yelena slid back into the chair, still grinning despite herself.
âCan we focus?â Natasha said, voice clipped.
Yelena just shrugged, casting a glance between the two of you.
âOh, come on, donât get shy on me, Agent Romanoff. Is it because we havenât had our little âI run, you go after meâ sessions recently?â You teased. âI promise, youâre the only one I let chase after me.â
Itâs true that its been a while since you have gone under the radar. Even if you werenât out committing your little revendouz vigilantes acts, Natasha still couldnât help to keep an eye out for you. It wouldnât be the first time that you took a mini sabbatical and returned with more messes for her to clean up.
Finally, from the shadows, a woman stepped a young woman, posture relaxed, radiating an air of practiced confidence. You wore your typical casual clothes, a fitted jacket and a crop under it. Your face was partially obscured by the lighting, but Natasha could see a few loose strands of hair escaping, catching faintly in the roomâs dim light. Chest rising up and down rather fastly. Itâs like you just returned from somewhere.
Your eyes, bright yet focused, lingered on Natasha with an amused glint. The faintest smirk played at the corner of your mouth, an expression that made Natasha feel strangely restless. There was something in that permanent look of yours that always kept her on edge.
âWho are you?â Yelena blurted out.
You gasped dramatically, resting a hand on your chest as if genuinely wounded. âWhy, you hurt me, Agent! Didnât you tell her anything about me? And here I was, starting to think that I meant something to you.â
Natasha sighed in exasperation, her gaze still scanning for any sign of how you managed to break in. But it was as if youâd been authorized from the inside. She knew you were good, hidden behind that playful demeanor, but it was exhausting how you always seemed one step ahead. âThereâs nothing to tell,â Natasha replied curtly, âbesides the fact that youâre a pain.â
You huffed in false offender , crossing your arms. âArchenemies would have sufficed. Besides, that is no way to greet someone who can help you with Horvat.â
Both of them froze at the name. Giving up, the redhead throws the device on the table, getting slightly closer to the TV and crossing her arms. If this was going where she thought it was, caution was very much need. Especially with you.
âA littleâŠbirdie, told me that we have, for once, a common enemy. Excluding each other of course.â You smiled at the last sentence, but your eyes were bright with a dangerous spark.
âHeâs not as unreachable as you may think. I guess that by now you have figured that he frequents the nightclubs in the Lower East Side. He is supposed to assist to an event tomorrow at night. Just our luck, right?â
Natashaâs brows furrowed. âOur? What, exactly, do you want with Horvat? Did he make it onto your little blacklist?â She scowled, still irritated by the last man youâd managed to eliminate right under her nose.
As if reading her thoughts, you let out a light, teasing laugh. âAh, well, I wouldnât exactly call it little,â you said, an amused glint in your eye.
Natasha huffed under her breath, visibly displeased with your evasiveness. âWhatâs in it for you?â
Your smile faded just slightly, and for a moment, a flicker of real purpose showed through the facade. âLetâs just say he has something I need. Something personal.â
Natashaâs eyes narrowed, her suspicion unwavering. âAnd how in the world would you ever entertain the thought of me agreeing to work together?â
âBecause youâre stuck,â you shot back, your voice sharper than usual. âLetâs be real, Romanoffâif I could do this alone, I wouldnât be here. But not even you canât get to him on your own. AndâŠneither can I.â You admitted through your teeth. The playful glint softened, replaced by an intensity Natasha hadnât quite seen from you before.
âI need someone who wonât mess it up if Iâm going to get to him,â you continued, the amused mask slipping just a bit more. âThatâs where you come in. I mean, who better to handle some undercover work than the Black Widow herself?â The slight provocation didnât go unnoticed, but Natashaâs mind was already racing with possibilities.
The room fell into silence, the ticking clock on the wall seeming louder than ever as Natashaâs eyes bore into yours, as if trying to see every hidden motive. Perhaps she should just go fetch Wanda. Still, she held herself steady, determined to avoid letting any trace of intrigue slip. It only took a spark for you to create a fire.
Yelena, sensing the tension between the two of you growing sharper by the second, finally cut in, a note of exasperation in her voice. âSo⊠how could you get us inââ
âYelena, no.â Natasha cut her off sharply, her posture rigid and unyielding. âWe are not entertaining this. And Iâm certainly not working with her,â she added, the cold in her tone unmistakable. She turned her gaze back to you, her expression filled with deep distrust. âShe does nothing but trick and deceive, and Iâm not about to let her pull us into a mess.â
You held her gaze steadily, a flicker of hurt passing through your eyesâbrief enough for Natasha to notice. She shook her head sturborling, she couldnât afford to feel any remorse for you. But as quickly as the emotion came, it vanished, and you rolled your eyes playfully. That was something that sparked Natashaâs curiosity. Just like herself in the past (maybe still now at times) it seemed as if you had a mask. She didnât know exactly how genuine that unserious facade, the one you always seemed to hide behind, truly was.
âSo distrustful and uptight as always, I see. Tell me, has she always been this way?â you asked, looking at the blonde. Yelena shrugged, starting to answer but clamping her mouth shut as Natasha arched an eyebrow in warning.
âLook, Iâm not thrilled about this either. But itâs the only way. Believe me, I wouldnât be here if I didnât think so,â you said, your tone uncharacteristically steady. âIâll even compromise and act like one of your âgoody-two-shoesâ heroes.â You almost gagged on the words. âSwear Iâll play by your rules, as long as it gets us to him. If thereâs one thing about me, itâs that I donât lie. Have I ever lied to you, Natasha?â
There was no mockery in your voice this time, just an unexpected sincerity. Natasha paused, caught off guard. Had you deceived her? Absolutely. Tricked her? Too many times to count, wounding her pride each time. But lied, outright and blankly, right to her face? As shocking as it was, she couldnât recall a single instance. No matter the game, youâd always been blunt about what you were going to do.
Yelena, noticing Natashaâs hesitation, leaned in. âŃĐ”ŃŃŃĐ° (sister), maybe⊠maybe she has a point. Weâre no closer to him on our own. And if she can get us inâŠâ
Natasha looked at her, seeing the reason in her words, though every fiber of her instinct fought against trusting you. After a long pause, she rubbed her temples, exhaling heavily. As sad as it was, there wasnât any better option. But to admit that she had no other option than to work with you, of all people, was burning her pride.
âFine.â
Yelena gave a small fist pump of victory, relief lighting her face after the hours theyâd spent trying to come up with a solid plan. Meanwhile, you grinned, satisfaction gleaming in your eyes.
âButââ Natasha cut in, fixing you with a hard look. âNo tricks, no double-crossing. As you said before, do this by my rules, is that clear?â
You raised an eyebrow, a glimmer of your usual defiance flashing in your expression. âWell, I mean⊠it is my plan so technicallyââ
âMy. Rules.â Natasha repeated, her voice dropping to a dangerously low tone that left little room for argument. Her stare bore into you, unyielding, and the confidence in your face faltered just a bit. âUnderstood?â
You swallowed, any spark of rebellion snuffed out under the intimidating weight of her gaze. âUnderstood,â you muttered, a hint of surprising, begrudging compliance in your tone.
âOooh, scary mean glare,â Yelena muttered under her breath, clearly entertained as she watched you two bickering. A mischievous glint in her eye, she leaned back, curious to see how will play out between you two. Perhaps she should pay visits more often.
âEnlighten us, then. What in the world does this great plan, legal plan of yours involve?â Natasha inquires dryly. Another cheeky grin on your face was enough for her to know that she won't like it in the slightest. It was almost sinister, how much you enjoyed to push her bottons.
âWellâŠthat answer can vary. How are your dance moves, Agent Romanoff?
Clearly baffled, she didnt have time to answer when someone blasted through the door, startling all three of you. âYou! Are you the one you hacked FRIDAY?â demanded a frantic Tony Stark, dressed in Iron Man-themed pajamas, bags under his eyes and a steaming coffee pot in hand labeled â#1 Best Heroâ (a gift from Peter). Honestly, Natahsa is a firm believer that he bought it himself but whatever.
You giggled almost manically. âOops, thatâs my cue! Talk to you later to get into details, Agent.â You practically purred, teasingly waving goodbye before cutting the connection in one swift motion. Natasha was met with her reflection on the now dark screen, your last words hanging heavily on the air.
Natasha drops on the chair heavily, grunting and rubbing her temples while looking at the roof in despair. How does she always end up in these situations?

Debated making this, but oh well, here we areâŠ
I rewatched the Loki series.
Going to add here quickly that I have been a fan of Loki since 2012/2013, and I personally relate to his character for a multitude of reasons.
Now, I enjoy the series, but I wish they made it more character focused than they had. I do feel like they prioritised story in terms of making it fit the next phase over exploring and expanding on Lokiâs character to some degree (a lot of it was surface level).
For example, I wouldâve loved to have seen:
Exploring Lokiâs Jotun heritage, even if it was a variant of him in the void that embraced it, dropped his aesir form, a conversation between Loki and his Jotun variant as they explain why they chose to embrace it, giving a different view to maybe how our Loki sees himself/the Jotuns. If âWhat Ifâ could have a frost giant Loki variant, why couldnât the show?
Expanding upon what happened to Loki during that year after his fall from the Bifrost. The reason for this is self explanatory really, it would add more lore/depth to his experiences/actions during the Avengers. Maybe address the trauma he has from it.
Loki fighting with his so-called âdesireâ for a throne more. By this I mean, I felt he flipped pretty quickly from his plan to overthrow the time keepers to just following along with Sylvie - which is fine, but I kinda thought there would be more push back from him. I get it was a life or death situation and Lokiâs whole thing is âsurvivalâ, but it wouldâve added to their dynamic and the fact the writers clearly wanted to push how Sylvie was different to other Lokiâs.
Exploring Sylvieâs backstory more. It really did feel like it was an afterthought, which is a shame. I suppose they left it ambiguous for certain reasons, but I think they shouldâve had more flashback scenes of what Sylvie could remember. I think it wouldâve helped people understand and relate to her more. (I do love her though).
Actually showed Lokiâs gender fluidity & shapeshifting ability more. Again, self explanatory really & important to his character, plus the whole implied only âwoman variantâ thing with Sylvie shouldâve not been a thing, like at all.
They shouldâve given Loki more time to process everything. This show really shouldâve had 8 episodes each season, I get thatâs not the writers fault, likely Disney/marvelâs doing. Perhaps then the shift in his character wouldnât have felt so jarring, especially considering heâs 2012 Loki. I do agree they wrote him as if he was Ragnarok!Loki, and thatâs not necessarily a bad thing, but it just felt jarring considering the last we saw of this Loki was Avengers. But then I could also argue that maybe he thought âwhatâs the point of itâ because the TVA know everything about him, but I digress.
Used Sylvie more in S2. It did feel like they didnât quite know what to do with her, her and Loki clearly just needed to sit and discuss the citadel fight, but the closest thing we got is in EP3 where Sylvie says âthis is all rather familiar, isnât it?â, referencing their different/opposing opinions on the TVA/He Who Remains. And also maybe the pie room scene, but itâs very vague/not directly addressed.
Explored the fact that Mobius is not a good guy more. Because, he isnât. And thatâs okay. To me, the whole point of the show is based on Lokiâs quote of âno one good is ever truly good, and no one bad is ever truly badâ, and whilst they do reference Mobiusâ own morally grey actions/traits, they donât particularly make it clear and most just see him as this âhappy go lucky old man who likes pie and loves Loki variantsâ. In fact, I actually really liked the scene where Sylvie confronts him - which is a very unpopular opinion to have it seems, lol.
Delved into the psychology of Loki further than surface level/what we already know about him. Yes, we know heâs the God of Mischief. Yes, we know he isnât evil. Yes, we know he is redeemable. Yes, we know heâs cunning, manipulative and selfish. We get that he projects this âillusionâ of himself, but it was only really mentioned in S1 EP1, maybe slightly EP2, before itâs never really mentioned again. I suppose S2 does this to a degree with the bar scene and EP5 of S1 in the time cell with Sif - also I think they tried to take the narcissist angle from the pov that itâs because of his low self-esteem as to why he needs validation and itâs a defence mechanism, but they didnât particularly make that clear and made it seem like he just thinks highly of himself.
I know it seems like I have a lot of issues with the show, and I do, but I still enjoyed it. Itâs okay to be critical of a piece of media and still enjoy it.
I do prefer S2 to S1, mostly because I prefer the direction they took it in and whilst I, of course, wanted better for Loki, I canât deny S2 EP6 is a stunning finale. I sobbed so hard during the ending and still feel the grief that I actually lost someone I knew personally. But I also have hope that this means Loki is now a main player in the next phase (am I delusional? Maybe).
I enjoyed the dynamics, the back and forth/chemistry, the story was interesting, the set & costume design, the acting, the directing/colour grading, the music (Natalie Holt, you are genius), the emotions, the fun, the charactersâŠ
So this is not a hate post by any means, I will once again state, I enjoyed the show. But, I do have issues with it, and thatâs okay too.
Please, dni if youâre just going to be argumentative or confrontational. I also donât want to hear that just because I enjoyed the show that Iâm ânot a real fanâ lmao. Iâm sorry, but Iâve been a Loki stan for over a decade, and I will not have someone tell me Iâm not a real fan because of a piece of fictional media. Also, please do not mention anything regarding ships on this post, I do not care for it because it always ends up in arguments and I am a multishipper so I donât tend to fight for any side. Thank you! :) /gen

can't stop thinking about Rings of Power and I have Opinions. They gave Galadriel the Captain Marvel treatment. why? yeah she's the most badass female character the general audience will recognize by name alone, but she's not badass because she's a petite warrior woman. she's badass because she's incredibly wise and magically powerful and trained under the Tolkien equivalent of either an angel or demigod or a minor goddess (depending on how we interpret Melian).
If they absolutely had to make their female character a combat badass who is hotheaded, angry, and revenge driven. In the same setting as young Elrond, Gil-galad, and Celebrimbor. And they couldn't change the major plot points of what we've seen so far. I think they'd have been better off using Celebrian. (It also solves the problem of me screaming at the screen about where that Celeborn is.) Hear me out: yeah, Tolkien probably wouldn't have ever thought of her as a warrior, but technically he never said she wasn't. There isn't really enough information about her to contradict existing canon, especially in the setting they picked.
They could still name drop Galadriel; contrasting Celebrian with her mother at every turn. Give us the conflict of Celebrian trying to get out from under her mother's shadow and being compared to her and how Galadriel would handle everything. Maybe the problem stems from the fact that they are reacting oppositely to grief and Celebrian cannot understand her mother's seeming lack of reaction and Galadriel thinks her daughter is reacting as a hot-headed youth. Maybe Celebrian doesn't take her mother's foresight and visions seriously (because you're mother saying she's 'seen the road you're taking and it is a dark one with many challenges' or something definitely is something a daughter would be pissed to hear, no matter how wise your mother is) and Galadriel is trying to give her daughter space. I don't know, i've never emotionally communicated a serious issue in my life. that's what writers are for.
Those of us familiar with the lore would get the treat of watching her interact with Elrond for the foundation of what we know will become their love story. (it doesn't need to be shown at all, cause elrond loved her in secret for literal decades if not centuries, so they can still try to BS us with fake-out relationships.) Those not familiar get to see the contrast of Celebrian, daughter of the wisest most powerful elven lady in existence, on a revenge quest for the death of her beloved uncle (if they still had to use Galadriel's brother's death for backstory purposes) versus a brilliant young healer Elrond half-elven, survivor of what is functionally mass murder and having lost pretty much everyone he cares about (multiple times). They probably approach loss and death and grief very differently and it could create great character moments and conversations.
the fact that the show hasn't really done anything with elrond eventually becoming the best healer on middle earth is also disappointing. if they'd made celebrian their protagonist, and focused on elrond as a healer it would have also provided an interesting flip of the more typical man-warrior/woman-healer setup.
Also, if we go the route of Celebrian having spent years as a terrifying avenging warrior, scourge of the Enemy, it creates a new sort of dynamic to what happens to her in the future. Her capture and torment at the hands of orcs in the future isn't a woman getting fridged (possibly as revenge against her family members) to give her sons motivation to become terrifying warriors, and add another entry to the long list of reasons her husband is sad. It's a legendary and terrifying warrior in her own right getting overpowered, tormented, and instead of succumbing to her injuries, choosing to seek healing and trusting her husband to take care of the kids and follow when they were ready. If handled well (not that I think the show would actually cover that time gap and event), it could be done in Tolkien's 'war is horrible and love drives us' themes.

FIC REC WEEK 45 â FAKE RELATIONSHIP
AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT: 27dragons
27dragons writes some of my favorite Winteriron dynamics, period. Both Bucky's and Tony's voices are perfect, and they're such dorks in love that it makes my heart melt every time. Since I especially love their fake relationship fics, I decided to rec them here, but honestly, you should just check out their entire AO3 catalogue, everything on there is fantastic.
Here's some of their work that I think you should check out:
Freedom in These Bonds
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 18,314 Tags: A/B/O, Arranged Marriage, Howard Stark's A+ Parenting
Summary: Tonyâs been accepted to M.I.T., which only admits a small percentage of omegas each year. He canât wait to get there, to stretch his intellect and broaden his horizons. Thereâs only one small wrinkle: omega students have to be married.
Reasons why I love it: Aaaah, this one is so good! Bucky is such a green flag all around, and I was constantly awwwing throughout the whole bonding ceremony and everything that comes after. Plus, the smut is hot as hell. This fic is amazing, and you should definitely read it!
Brideprice
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 31,974 Tags: Post-Apocalyptic, Arranged Marriage, Canon-typical Violence
Summary: An event known only as the Sundering destroyed civilization as it had been known. Now, several hundred years later, humans have banded together in tribes that war over resources and scramble for ways to deal with the occasionally-deadly mutations that the Sundering left in its wake. The Avengers thought they would be the next victims of the Hydra tribeâs steady expansion and subjugation, but instead, Hydra approached them with an offer of alliance, including a bride for Tony, the Avengersâ second-in-command, to symbolize the union of the two tribes. But neither Tonyâs bride nor the alliance turn out to be what the Avengers were hoping for.
Reasons why I love it: Aside from the fake marriage â which is superb in and of itself â I really love the worldbuilding in this one. All of the lore surrounding the Sundering is super intriguing, and the way that 27dragons plays with Marvel canon here is so much fun. It's really well-paced, and the characterizations are on point. I love this one, and I really hope you check it out for yourself!
Don't Be a Disaster (Be Mine)
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: T Words: 5,318 Tags: No Powers AU, Coming Out, Getting Together
Summary: Unexpectedly, Tony is alone for the holidays. He hates being alone, but surely his genius brain will come up with something. Bucky can deal with the stress of having lost his arm, or the stress of remaining in the closet with his family, but not both. And only one of those things is in his control. But coming out to them when he doesn't even have a boyfriend is nervewracking, to say the least. A chance meeting on the subway may solve both of their problems... and give them both a gift they weren't even looking for.
Reasons why I love it: Christmas with the Barnes' sounds so cozy! I love Tony's characterization here, Bucky absolutely stood no chance against his charms. And the way they meet is hilarious, I enjoyed every second of it. This fic is wonderful, and you should definitely read it!
Can't Talk (Like Real Adults)
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 30,264 Tags: Marriage Pact, No Powers AU, Idiots in Love
Summary: Bucky and Steve made a pact when they were young, that if they were both still single when they were thirty, theyâd marry each other. Bucky could think of a lot of worse things than being married to his best friend. They already live together, the tax benefits would be pretty awesome, and he could stop worrying about growing old alone. That is, until he met Tony Stark. Yes, that Tony Stark. Rich, gorgeous, smart, fun, great in bed, and... actually interested in Bucky? Tony didnât really do dating. It was too depressing to waste his time with borderline stalkers, fortune hunters, people just crossing off their bucket lists, and worse. Heâd pretty much resigned himself to a lifetime of one-night stands. And then he met Bucky. Hot, nerdy, relaxed, and utterly nonchalant about the whole âTony Starkâ package in an extremely appealing way. There was just one problem: Bucky was engaged to someone else.
Reasons why I love it: Oh my god, this fic gave me everything I could ever want in a fic. They're both such fucking dumbasses â Bucky more so than Tony, but still â and I love every second of the drama. Also, the intimate scenes are just incredible, 27dragons and tisfan write these two idiots so well. Definitely check this one out, I bet you'll love it just as much as I do!
If Only in My Dreams
Pairing: Bucky/Tony Rating: E Words: 16,954 Tags: A/B/O, Mutual Pining, Christmas
Summary: Despite presenting late, Tony's father never had any doubt that Tony would follow in his footsteps and be an Alpha. So it is with more than mild dismay that Tony finally presents shortly before exams... as an Omega. Now he's got to go home for the holidays to fend off his parents' outdated notions, including his father's attempts to arrange a Bond for him. Bucky's had a crush on Tony since they first met, more than a year ago, but he keeps finding excuses not to express his interest. When Tony admits that he's looking for an Alpha to bring home to pretend to be courting him, Bucky volunteers before he can really think about what he's doing. But it's only for a few days. Everything will be fine.
Reasons why I love it: Oh man, I really feel Bucky in this one. If I saw anyone living in the kind of family dynamic Tony is living here, I'd want to take them far away too. Thank god for Ana and Jarvis! I love how Tony's relationship with Howard especially is explored here, and Bucky's reaction to everything is fantastic. Plus, the Winteriron Christmas fluff is so sweet, it makes up for all of the family angst. I love this one, and I bet you will too, so I hope you give it a shot!

What if... Leo Became a God?
Okay, but what if Leo literally burnt away his mortality during Blood of Olympus while fighting Gaea?
Now, before you go ahead and bring out the sledgehammers and pitchforks, or think I'm just doing it as a joke, this is a possibility that I'm being very sincere in considering this. And it is a possibility, because this isn't the first time this has happened in myth - Heracles did it first. So if burning himself alive in a freaking pyre was all Heracles needed to ascend to godhood, Leo literally burning himself alive using his own flames to kill a Primordial should be more than enough. Plus there's the whole Hera mimicking what Demeter did with Demophon, so we could say he's nearly there. Him burning himself alive is just that final push he needed to become a god, burning away his own mortality.
I mean, think about it. The prophecy always said, an oath to hold with a final breath, but it never meant Leo had to get close to perma-dead. Riordan did it just fine with the Physician's Cure, having Leo achieve apotheosis to do so would also be a way to circumvent the loophole in the prophecy. The phrasing is vague in that 'final breath' could be interpreted in multiple ways, such as 'one's final breath as a mortal.'
Oh the irony. We all thought Leo was going to die, then bam! Boy ends up with a permanent lease on life by literally burning himself alive, a lot more power than he could ever imagine getting, and a lot of freedom he never had as a mortal. He's lucky demigod #3 to ascend to godhood without divine patronage, right after Heracles and Dionysus. When he returns to Camp Half-Blood, it isn't on Festus, but him straight-up materializing in the middle of his funeral. Nearly every Greek and Roman but especially Nico mentally screams WTF as they realize that the funeral hasn't even ended, and Leo's shroud is basically his first offering.
His friends reactions to seeing him - and realizing the truth of what he has become. Jason and Piper are in shock, realizing that their friend is now going to stay young and will eventually watch them die and have to move on. Frank and Hazel are bewildered, because Leo's plan to burn himself alive to defeat Gaea had gone horribly right and now they have to deal with the fact that they had a hand in Leo's apotheosis. Percy and Annabeth are bewildered and shocked at the fact that Leo just straight up became a god - and the now very real reality that one of them may eventually do so (cough cough Percy).
When Leo goes to free Calypso, she literally has to process the fact that the boy she may have liked is now a god - the very beings she despises for imprisoning her in Ogygia. That eventually Leo may most likely move on to someone else and dump her. This crashes especially hard when she gets out of that island and realizes that she's become mortal. The dynamics between them have completely changed and Leo isn't aware of it, and Calypso doesn't know how to process that.
Hera is the one to explain exactly is going on to Leo, because she knows she had a hand in Leo becoming a god. She owes him at the very least to guide Leo in his new reality, and both the positive and negative benefits that are associated with ascension to godhood. Hephaestus doesn't know how to handle Leo now basically being just there forever, because none of his children ever became gods unless they were the children of him and a god. Nemesis marvels at the irony of Leo becoming a god while stealing Gaea's life, noting that this was a rather marvelous way that Leo rained his vengeance upon her. Apollo's just friendly because now he has a new friend to be with him in Olympus.
But this ending - for Heroes of Olympus as a whole - would be more poetic and a parallel to The Last Olympian. Percy was satisfied with who he was, protecting the world to save those he loves and he's happy with that. Leo is one who ascends to the heavens in his feat to avenge those he loves and destroying those who tried to destroy him.
But... there's one thing they have in common.
Leo's first act as a god isn't to rescue Calypso. It isn't to appear before the Seven and let them know he's alive. Leo appears in the Underworld and requests for only a single soul to be allowed a second chance at life. The single soul that he loves the most.
Esperanza Valdez is brought out of the underworld, and Leo freezes. The boy on fire who became a god turns back into a boy of eight years old as he finally gets back the mom he lost so long ago as he hugs her as best as he can. He hadn't expected to be a god. He didn't know what would happen next. But this - this is one of the few times things actually feel right. They've both been given a new lease on life - one longer than the other, but they can finally keep moving forward.

[ NOTE: This Blog Contains Spoilers For Multiverse Of Madness ]
`` ARE YOU HAPPY, STEVEN? ``
Testing.. Testing...
Alright, greetings interweb. As you all probably already know, my name is Stephen Strange. (Dr. Strange to all of you, Stephen's just for buds.) I've saved the world countless times, traveled the Multiverse, and have neutralized the all-powerful Scarlet Witch .. not to say I'm bragging, but those are braggable feats. You'd think I'd be free to do as I pleased, however, winning is such a fickle and complicated bag of worms, one that doesn't come without consequences. The Scarlet Witch destroyed the Darkhold across every dimension, but the essence is.. sticky. I did what I had to to defeat someone who threatened the Multiverse, should I have not used the wretched book to do so? Probably. Am I willing to admit that to the ones I'm closest to? ..Not so much. The power of Darkhold is safe, believe me. There would be no one better to keep this gif-curse with.
With that out of the way, I'll be using this odd forum as a journal of sorts, hard to keep track of my thoughts these days. If you stumble upon this blog, use my words as newfound knowledge, but tread lightly.
[ Mod, RP Info, & Character Bio Below Cut !! ]
Mod Notes
Sup! Welcome to yet another pathetic man's blog. I'm Randy, I use he/him pronouns, I'm twenty, and I'm So Normal about Marvel. So So Normal.
RP Info
I've been hooked on the idea of Strange slowly turning evil for quite some time now, but now seems like a great time to bring out the ol' warlock. Completely open to plots, character dynamics, random asks, and rp memes! Crossovers as well as (over 18) ocs may interact, of course :3c. As the man told y'all, Steven has been 'infected' by the Darkhold, since he was the last to technically use it before it was destroyed. You'll see his morals start to spiral downwards, and a villain begin to appear.. I'm so excited guys.
DNI
This blog will contain alcohol, substances, unbased opinions, and perhaps suggestive material, so minors begone! Bigots, proshippers, and other such weirdos are not welcome either, hate will be taunted and giggled at! Drama-makers can look elsewhere, I want none of that!

A Holder Of Ancient Magic
Name: Stephen Strange
Age: Currently Forty-Six
Gender & Pronouns: Cisman, He/Him
Sexuality: Strange is far too busy with the possible incursion he caused to be worried about labels. (Evil Bisexual </3)
Home Universe: 616 Adjacent (If your character died during End Game, no they didn't /hj)
Relationships: Stephen has a couple of close friendships, one being Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme. He hadn't been the most open about his new-found powers after the events with the Scarlet Witch. He's cut contact with Christine entirely, far too upset about how their relationship ended, how happy she seems with someone else. Him and the Avengers are on good terms, though he tends to keep quiet about the Darkhold.
Current Appearance: Strange looks a bit more disheveled than he did in Multiverse Of Madness, eyes sunken as if he'd been spending far too much time in the Sanctum's library. Occasionally, there seems to be an odd slit in the center of the Doctor's forehead- mentioning will make the line disappear. He looks more akin to Sinister Strange at this point.

What are your thoughts on the Pietro and Monet pairing? Admitted we haven't gotten loads of them but it feels like there is a lot of potential there especially in how despite coming from opposite ends of the wealth brackets they are both extremely loving people, protective of their sisters and families but ones that refuse to forgive their abusers and developed more acerbic personalities as a defence for what they've ensured.
Is there anything you would like to see explored with them?
i have to be honest: i haven't moved on from emily/pietro yet and i doubt i will, but ignoring that, i feel like pietro and monet dating was a GREAT idea. just like you said, they have many things in common but different life experiences, which opens doors for a really interesting dynamic.
now, when it comes to plans for the future i think they are absolutely perfect, but considering what we have at the moment i fear that getting attached to them would be a terrible idea đ marvel doesn't act like they really plan to do anything with them other than add a few jokes and nice moments here and there, and tbh that's really frustrating. they could have such a nice development, like both of their past relationships, but instead of that we are getting veeeery small crumbs.
about things to get explored: it can sound a bit silly but i think a run with them as leads learning how to get used to each other's habits and having to fight each other's battles/problems would be really funny. like having monet dealing with pavane(avengers v1 #377) or a character similar to him and teasing pietro about the fact his enemies are either children or just random people đ or having pietro dealing with victor without knowing about his relationship with monet and being flabbergasted when finding out about it. long answer made short: i think they could have MANY funnny, complex and interesting stories together and they really need more chance to be developed.
(i have to confess that i was kind of confused about their relationship status? are they dating or just hooking up? đ„ I hope they are dating...)

Almost two years thatâs how long you had been here, in New York city. You were living with your friend Peter Parker and his aunt May. It had hit the news quickly that (Y/S/N) had moved from crime fighting in Gotham, Bludhaven, and Metropolis. To fighting crime in New York city, you hadnât had a run in with the avengers, the rip off justice league as you called them, or heroes that were affiliated with them yet.
That would change tonight though. Since you decided to suit up about two months into your stay into New York, you had only gone after minor thugs. Which you found patrolling, which you were doing at the moment. When a familiar spider-boy who wore bright red decided you need company.
He swung down landing in front of you, before he could say anything you spoke. âWhat you want?â You asked.
âI thought you would like some company,â he replied, he stuck out his hand. âSpiderman,â he told you.
You rolled your eyes before taking his hand, â(Y/S/N),â You replied. You two began talking for awhile, getting to each other without revealing anything about your secret identities. You too had moved so you were sitting on the side of building with your legs dangling off the edge.
âSo whatâs it like working for superman?â He asked.
You shook your head, âI didnât work for him, sure I was his sidekick but there no power dynamic. I would boss him around sometimes, he would do the same to me. Heâs my mentor but he was also so much more then that,â You replied.
He placed a hand on your shoulder, âIt must have been hard leaving. I donât what I would do if I had to leave behind black widow or Iron man,â You gave him a sad smile, and nodded.
âWhyâd you leave?â He asked. You froze, you hadnât told anyone not Peter not May. The only people who knew were the ones back in Gotham and Metropolis. He must have noticed your reaction to the question because he quickly told you, that you didnât have to tell him.
âNo, Iâll tell you. Itâs fine,â you replied.
âYou sure? I donât want to make you uncomfortable,â
âItâs fine,â you assured him, you took a deep breathe. âMy robin died,â you told him.
He tilted his head much like a confused puppy would, âHuh? Your bird died?â He asked.
You laughed and shook your head, âNo, Batmanâs sidekicks are called Robins. Mine died, he was killed by the Joker. It was couple of years ago but I never got over it, I spent months reviewing the footage from Batmanâs suit from that night,â your voice cracked, âTrying to figure out if someway, somehow he wasnât dead. But I just found myself watching my baby die, over and over again.
I did it until realized he was gone, that he wasnât coming back. So I started visiting his grave, telling him everything that he was missing. I thought I was okay, I really did. Then one night I found myself fighting the joker. And were there, at the warehouse or what remained of it.
And he started things and I just remembered how mad, I was,â tears rolled down your face, âMad that this sick son of a bitch was alive, but my baby bird was dead. Then I just snapped and I almost killed him and I just remember thinking that was I wanted to do it. I want him dead, I was gonna kill. If Nightwing and Orphan hadnât shown up, I would have killed him,â You looked over at spiderman, âIâm not a murder,â you told him.
He shook his head, âYour not a murder (M/N).â
âHow..?â
He removed his masking, revealing that he was Peter. âI figured it out, while you were talking,â the brunette explained.
âCan we go back your apartment?â You asked.
Peter nodded, âletâs go,â
March 2nd, 2020 (There is no COVID)
As the elevator went up heading to the top floor, where currently the Avengers resided, so did your nervous. Peter must have sense this because he placed a hand your shoulder, âRelax, everything is gonna be okay,â he told you.
You scoffed, âTelling people to relax doesnât really make them relax,â You replied, âBesides this like meeting the Justice League all over again,â
âBut itâs the avengers this time,â
You shook your head, âStill. Do you know how bad I embarrassed myself the first time, I met the Justice League?â
âIt couldnât have been that bad,â Peter replied.
âIt was that bad!â You exclaimed, âI fell into the fucking pool of Justice!â You looked over at Peter and noticed he was trying not to laugh, which earned him a small shove. âAsshole, donât laugh!â
âI wasnât laughing at you,â He replied, âPool of Justice?â
You bit your lip trying to stop yourself from laughing as well because you knew if you laughed, Morpheus would strike you down then and there. âYeahâŠthe justice league isnât the best at name things,â
âThen I feel really bad for there children,â Peter laughed.
You shook your head, âSurprisingly there kids have good names, well the ones who didnât name themselves or had names before they got there,â
âNamed themselves? Names before they got there?â Peter asked.
âWell sure the justice league treats there sidekicks and refers to them as there kids but most of them arenât. Like my buddy Dick, he might be Bruceâs son but Bruce didnât name him.
Dickâs parents did and so did my parents. And as for naming themselves, sometimes there sidekicks are manmade. Like my brother, Conner. He was made to be a clone of Clark and Lex Luther, he escaped the lab though and he needed clothes. So he stole them from one of the guards and the name on the outfit was Connor,â You explained.
Before Peter could respond the elevator door opened signaling you were on the avengers floor. âYou ready?â Peter asked, you nodded. The two of you exited the elevator and walked down a small hallway that took you to living room.
Where a butch of people sat you recognized them all right off the bat. There was Black Widow or Natasha Romanoff, Iron Man or Tony Stark, The god of thunder or Thor, Hawkeye or Clit Barton, Bruce Banner or the Hulk, and Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
They all smiled at you, âYou must be (M/N) Kent,â Tony smiled at you.
âI am indeed,â You smiled back.
Natasha patted the space next to her, âcome sit down,â she told the two of you. You both did as you were told.
âWeâve heard a lot about you from Peter,â Clit told you.
âGood things, I hope you,â you replied.
âReally good things,â Steve assured you. You spent the next hour or so getting to know them all. It was nice, you laughed a lot this much since Jason died.
âHowâd you end up with, Superman and superwomen?â Thor asked.
âMy parents dropped me off outside, Supermanâs house. Apparently they were work buddies with his Superwomen and they couldnât take care of me. I was two, they left a note with my name and I havenât seen them since. But itâs okay because Superman and Superwomen raised me as there kid. There my family,â You explained.
âSo whyâd you leave, Metropolis and Gotham? If all the family youâve ever known was there?â Tony asked, âGet tired of the Justice League up your ass?â
You shook your head, âThe love of my life died,â you told them. You felt the whole rooms atmosphere change.
âIâm so sorry, what happened? If you donât mind me asking,â Natasha asked.
âItâs okay,â you replied, âHe was murder by the Joker and years later I thought,â You shook your head, âI didnât think, I knew I was okay. Then Iâm back at what remained of the warehouse, he was killed, fighting the Joker and I almost killed him. I was lucky two of my friends were in the area because they pulled me off of him and at that moment I knew I couldnât stay,â you explained.
âIâm so sorry,â Tony replied, âI wouldnât know what to do if Pepper died, especially if I found myself fighting the person who did years later,â
âIt was hard,â You replied.
âWell, on a happier note,â Bruce spoke up, âwe donât usually summon people to the Avengers tower, youâre aware of that correct?â Bruce asked, you nodded.
âWell were thinking about giving you an opportunity, to work with us. You know this business way better then a lot of us do, and we could use that,â He explained.
You lit up, âReally?â
Bruce nodded, âYou could teach a lot of us some things and some of us have been in this game for years.â
âIâll try my best,â You replied.
âSo you in?â Peter asked.
âOf course,â you smiled.
August 23rd, 2021
You sighed as you unlocked the door to your apartment, yes your apartment. You moved out of Mayâs and Peterâs a couple moths ago. Finally having enough money to buy your own, which you were very happy about. You loved Peter but after a night a patrol all you wanted to do was go to sleep, which was with him that was not so easy.
As you entered the apartment you were quick to realize that the Tv and the light in the living room were on. This set you on alert, you pulled your (S/W) out and slowly made your way to living room. As you got closer you heard a laugh, one you had heard so much that you almost immediately knew who had broken into your apartment.
You rolled your eyes, as your entered the living room. âCon-â you cut yourself off. Curled up, asleep next to Connor on the couch looked like a mini-boy version of Louis Lane who couldnât have been more then four years old. âWhose that?â You whispered.
â(M/N), meet our younger brother, Jon,â He smiled at you.
You were very skeptical, âIs this another clone?â You asked.
Connor shook his head. âSo Clark and LouisâŠ,â you didnât finish the sentence.
Connor nodded once more, âYep, they had sex. I wonder how that would work, I always-,â you grimaced and cut your brother off.
âConnor!â You exclaimed, âI donât wanna think about my mother and father figure having sex!â Your shouting cause Jon to stir next to Connor, immediately opening his eyes.
He blinked a couple times before looking around eyes landing on you. â(M/N)?â He asked. You smiled and nodded, getting down on your knees in front of your baby brother.
âHello, Honey,â you smiled.
Before Jon could respond Connor spoke up, âYou know, Bruce had another kid,â Connor told you.
âReally?â You asked not taking your eyes off of Jon.
âMhm, heâs an Al Ghul,â This caught you off guard, you turned Connor wide eyed.
âYep, I know,â Connor replied.
âHoly shit!â You exclaimed.
âHey! Watch your mouth in front of Jon!â Connor scolded you.
You put your hands up in surrender, âIâm sorry,â you replied.
âYou better, do you know how much of a bad mouth Dick, Stephanie, and Tim have?â You watched as Jon visible lit up at those names and quickly looked around.
âDick?â Jon asked, you shook your head.
âHeâs not here buddy,â you turned Connor, âhe canât be more then four, when did Louis have him?â You asked.
âShe was three months at the time you left.â
You couldnât believe it, Clark and Louis probably knew but they didnât tell you. Hell they didnât even tell you he was born. You were anger but also hurt, Connor could tell. He could always, he placed a hand on your shoulder. âIâm really sorry (N/N),â he told you.
âHow could they not tell me?â You asked.
âI donât know, maybe they thought youâd come straight home,â Connor suggested, but you both knew it wasnât true.
âI canât believe it!â You exclaimed. âIâm just much as there kid your two are,â you gestured to Connor and Jon, âI didnât know my parents, Clark and Louis were the only I had. How could they not tell me?â You felt tears burn your eyes and at this moment you didnât care, you let them fall freely.
Connor weakly smiled at you, he moved off the couch and sat down on your right. He took your hand into his, you could tell he was fighting back tears. You two had always been close, doing everything together. So when one broke down, the other was very close to following because you didnât like seeing each other like that.
You didnât like seeing each other in pain, or sad, or sick. â(M/N), Clark and Louis arenât good people. You always looked up to them, so I never wanted to tell you but there not. Heck once Jonâs old enough, and Clark doesnât need me around to take care of his son. Iâm gonna grandma and grandpa, Iâm not gonna be welcome at home anymore.
Iâm gonna be superboy, he is. Because he was kid Louis and Clark wanted,â You watched as the tears fell down your brotherâs face, âNot some clone made of him and his arch enemy, not some random kid left on his door step. Heâs gonna be the golden boy, the golden child and were gonna be left behind like we never exist,â Connor told you.
You didnât wanna believe it but deep down, you knew it was true. There was no avoiding it. âDo you ever wish you lived with Lex, instead of Clark?â You asked.
Connor nodded, âBecause he even the small times I see him because I have too. Because as much as Clark and Louis want to deny it iâm his kid too. He treats me better then either of them did, he might be asshole sometimes and supervillain but heâs good dad. You ever wonder, what it would be like if you parents kept you?â
You nodded, âEveryday. I wonder what it would like. If they take me back now, even with how fucked I am,â Connor squeezed your hand.
âYou not fucked up,â He told you.
You shook your head, âI am! Connor, I am! I couldnât take care of myself before Jason died, I can hardly do it now. Hell i tried to kill the Joker. Iâm having nightmares about the Lazarus Pit and Jason crawling out of his grave. Even though I know itâs gone, and so is he. Iâm fucked Connor,â
He shook his head, as he pulled you into a hug. âI love you so much,â he told you, âYour brother, and trust me your not fucked. Clark, Louis, the
joker, and everyone else is,â you felt an extra pair of arms wrap around you and looked to see Jon.
He smiled at you, âI love you too,â he told you.
You couldnât help but smile as well, âI love you too, Jon. I love the both of you,â you told them.
âNow I have two awesome brothers!â Jon exclaimed. Your smile grew even wider at that.
February 1st, 2022
You, Peter, and Nat were building away from were the other avengers. There was group of people who had landed on Avengers and tower and Friday classified them as threat. The group of people, they brown robes and on the back of them was a symbol one you had seen before.
You knew it but you couldnât remember where it was from. You remembered it being from a league of some sort, you watched as leader of the group, a women, looked around and as your eyes laid on her you realized who she was, Talia Al Ghul.
âShit!â you exclaimed. You moved from the building you were on to the Avengers tower. Nat and Peterâs called your name but you didnât care, as you cared about was making sure Tony, who blasted was currently pointed at Talia, didnât do something that would cause a war behind the league and the avengers.
You landed in front of Talia seconds before Tony was about to shoot, âStop!â You exclaimed.
âGood of you finally show up,â Talia told you, you just rolled your eyes
â(Y/S/N), what are you doing?â Tony asked.
âYou canât hurt her, youâll start a war behind the league and the avengers and believe me that is the last thing yâall need,â You explained.
âA war?â Steve asked.
âThe league is a very power power group,â you turned from your friend toward Talia, âWhat are you doing here?â You asked.
âCanât I visit my sonâs boyfriend?â She asked.
You cocked your eyebrow at her, âHuh?â
Talia just rolled her eyes, âJason, my son?â
You couldnât help but be more confused, âSince when is Jason your son?â You asked.
âSince a couple months ago,â she replied.
âTalia, Jason died. Heâs been died for years,â you replied.
Talia just smiled at you, âOh (M/N), heâs alive,â you froze, âAnd you know it. Youâve been having dreams of him and the Lazarus Pit,â
You shook your head, âNo.â You simply said, âJason died years ago, The Lazarus pit was destroyed years before that by the Justice League,â You exclaimed.
âYes, but I rebuilt it. I need someone to take of Damien,â She replied.
âSo you brought my boyfriend back to life?!â You screamed.
Talia frowned at you, âI thought you would be happy,â
âOh iâm thrilled!â You stomped your foot, âSo fucking thrilled, do you know how dangerous that is? Talia, sure he can protect Damian but he is gonna have urges cause by Lazarus. Heâs gonna be so unbelievably anger at Bruce, the Joker, Dick! Everyone!â You exclaimed. Then you remembered, Damian was in Gotham, âIs he..,â You didnât finish the sentence, you didnât have too.
âHe is,â
âTalia,â you whispered.
âI didnât know,â she replied, âYou need to stop before he does,â she told you.
âWhat do you mean?â You asked.
âYour connected to him. You can stop him, you can help him,â Talia replied. One of the assassins whispered something to her and she frowned, âI have to go but you need to stop him.â
Before you could speak they were gone you just stared at where they once were. â(M/N)?â Tony asked.
You turned around and noticed Nat and Peter had now joined the other avengers, âI have to go home, I have to go back to Gotham,â you replied.

My (slightly unhinged) review of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver #2
4.5/5 stars đ€© - potential spoilers below the cut
Loved this issue and really wish this series would be longer, the twins are at their best together! It's also resolved a lot of doubts I had from the first issue. I liked this more than the previous issue. It got the balance between the twins right. Showed some really cool uses of Pietro's powers and let him be powerful in his own right. Orlando immediately puts limits on those abilities but that's what writers should do with their characters and this is the most creative a writer has gotten with Pietros powers in a long time so props to Orlando for that.
Loved that protective big sis Wanda is back. The minute she hears the Wizard mention her brother she goes Cthon. There was an interesting emphasis on the twins hands in the first few pages of the issues.
And ofc our boy Tommy is back and he is glorious!!! Love that we have confirmation Pietro and Tommy regularly spend time together.
Thank god Vision was only there for three panels - I hate hate hate him being shoved into Wandas stories. They've been divorced 40 years marvel stop trying to make things happen cause of the MCU đ Though going back to your toxic ex when you've lost everything - kind of sadly relatable lol. I know there will be more of him in the next issue but I hope it's not loads more as I'm honestly more interested in Pietro and Tommy which are bound to be the more fun and interesting dynamic.
I do wonder if the Vision is there to reveal what he learned about the twins in the uncanny avengers counter evolutionary arc back in 2015. Hopefully he reveals it and leaves! Id rather see Luna or Monet back.
I am so curious about the idea of Wanda being the power and Pietro the catalyst (Does it have implications for Billy and Tommy?). This idea does center Wanda in a way and treats Pietro as supplemental but I don't dislike it I feel it matches the twins existing lore. I think were gonna see a combined twin power perhaps, otherwise why would the Giver refer to both of them - they specifically say the "twins can affect all realities and break them" and "the twins cannot be allowed to effect space time" and thats significant. looking back Pietro has nearly always been a catalyst for Wandas biggest shows of power - HoM in particular stands out. I alway thought about him promising to help her create the new reality and wondered how he did that. Very excited for this series - hopefully Pietro becomes a regular in the new SW solo because Wanda's stories are for the better with her brother!Â

how would you describe thor and lokiâs dynamic to someone who has never seen the movies?
Narratively co-dependent sibling rivalry that makes Cain and Abel's rivalry pale in comparison. They also say "BROTHA" a lot.
Thor's basically Mufasa/He-Man/SkekUng, and Loki's basically Scar/Skeletor/SkekSil.
do you have a favorite loki fanfic? (if youâre a fic writer, youâre allowed to choose your own)
Always a difficult question (and I tend to try to avoid known squicks from whoever's asking). And lol, I went to see replies to comments on my inbox.
Let's see.
I think you'd enjoy this Loki and Hela team-up oneshot.
This one has a happy ending but it's quite angsty on Loki's part (and it doesn't get to bad points; but it could have).
There's this fic, though not my favorite, I found very enjoyable for xenobiology reasons and because the author made Loki act mean and bitchy as a patient, which is accurate. Rather than the little waif he's made out to be in other Loki recovery fics. The alien biology is very detailed and well thought of. If you like speculative xenobiology, you'll enjoy this.
I love Lise's fics. I'm that freak that loves vivisection stuff, so I especially enjoy "The Vivisection Tango." I love shit where one character wants to vivisect the other.
There's a VERY fucked up Doomki fic based on Latverian Prometheus that haunts me, but it is not for the faint of heart, so I'm not posting it xD I feel weird saying I think about it often.
On a softer Valki note, I enjoyed this fic:
what do you think lokiâs biggest fear is? (if not *the*Â biggest, one of the biggest.)
Losing those he loves (e.g. Thor, Frigga) is a far greater fear for Loki than dying, being alone, or abandoned. He couldn't bear to lose Thor, and so handed the Tesseract to Thanos and likely attacked Thanos knowing he'd die (to keep it balanced). He was also willing to die just to avenge Frigga. Loki has a long history of dying for his loved ones to either avenge them or protect them. Loki would do ANYTHING to keep them from harm.
In respect to Frigga, I like thinking about how it's a reversal of the whole "mother willing to die/sacrifice for her children" when it's an adoptive child doing the sacrificing instead. IDK, it fucks me up to think about that. There's something there but I can't put words to it.

Here is another oc, this one was created recently, meet Detective Jacob Corwing. Here I share his lore:
Jacob Corwing
Birth Date: January 10th, 1984.
Birth Place: Chicago, Illinois.
Eye color: Blue.
Height: 6'1".
Age: 40 years.
Hair color: Copper blonde.
Nationality: American.
Gender: Male.
Affiliation: Private Detective, Former FBI, CIA and DEA agent who quit after having enough in dealing with the corruption from every agency he used to work.
Allies: Marcus Williams (Jacob is the only human who knows about Marcus demon form and the existence of the hell realm thanks to an incident facing some supernatural beings), succubus Nisha, Kyle GarcĂa, Igal Caine, Boris and Remo Montgomery, demon Hoover.
Enemy: Zadkiel "The Demon King" Jones (serial killer who is wanted for the murder of Jacob's family and multiple serial murders).
Biography: Not many know about Corwing's past, but as a classic detective story, it has been speculated that he used to have a family who were killed by the serial killer Zadkiel Jones in a mocking of his marvelous career as a top agent of the law. In searching for justice to find the killer and avenge his family, Jacob got into many messes that made him discover not only the whereabouts of Jones and his horrifying crimes, but also discovered a thread of corruption in all the agencies he used to work in. As a man who wanted not only to bring justice to his loved ones, but to protect innocents to not have the same fate as him under the serial killer rampage, Corwing quit every agency and work by his own, searching, interrogating with brutal force every one who got information about Zadkiel, becoming into a big obsession that not only is taking most of his life, but also his own sanity.
Things got more complicated when he met ex-MARSOC soldier / vigilante Marcus Williams, who not only shared the same objective: Protect innocents; but also he would discover a dark secret from the man that would bring him into the supernatural realm.
Now having to deal not only with the search of Zadkiel Jones, but also face supernatural beings in his life, there are times that Jacob only wants to have some peace and just forget everything, but as a stubborn man, he has a vow code that guides his nature: "Protect and serve".
Skills: As a former FBI, DEA and CIA agent, he has a lot of knowledge of the mafia world, government bureaucracy and secret projects and discoveries that had never been known to the public. Also he is a perceptive man who checks every detail around a crime scene, he is guided by evidence, detects when a person is trying to lie to him and a sharp shooter with his 92 FS INOX who treasured with all his heart and doesn't let anyone touch it, some speculate that the gun was given to him by his wife, however, Jacob has remained reserved regarding such a statement.
Weakness: As a man who lost his way after dealing with the brutal murdered of his family, he suffers an extent PTS, to the point of becoming into psychosis where he hears voices of the ones he cares about, the only way to deal with the inner demons is just drinking and night clubs, even asked Marcus ally the succubus Nisha to help him with the mess of his mind, who without any hesitation, helps without any problem, many had thought that maybe there could be something more between the detective and the succubus, but Jacob had denied all involvement saying that a demon is best in keeping secrets than a human.
Family Murdered incident: Not so many know about what relationship Jacob and Zadkiel had in the past, many had said that both used to be great friends and great comrades during the FBI and DEA days, as Jones being a respectful doctor back then, both were responsible for bringing many criminals down thanks to their dynamic: Zadkiel as a great doctor to deduce the victims deaths and Jacob as the man who used to stop the killers. Both were invincible until that horrific day, when Jacob discovered a dark secret behind Zadkiel's "good doctor" facade: A serial killer obsessed with the perfection of the human body and recreation of Renaissance paintings with the bodies of their victims. Unfortunately for Jacob, one of those victims was his wife and daughter, who took a tragic fate and became one of Zadkiel's horror crime scenes.
Falling into depression and a complete rage not only because the person he trusted most was also responsible for his family murdered. The worst part about the incident was that his daughter's body was never recognized since the flesh sculptures were unrecognizable and the DNA was lost during testing and corruption of the agencies. Now in complete grief, Jacob searches without no end the bastard that he once considered as a brother.

I think my thing with Marvel lately, Loki included, is that so many things have happened that make other moments harsher in hindsight. With Loki, it's hard to go back and watch the show knowing it's all leading to him being alone AGAIN. Like Lady Sif telling him he's gonna be all alone is something I can't even stomach now (I can't even watch the ending either except maybe Mobius and Sylvie's scene because I love that duo because it just makes me feel uneasy. I wish I could appreciate the beauty of it more.) And the Mobius telling Loki he can be anything even hurts too. (It's probs my favorite scene in the series.) I feel similarly about Spider-Man No Way Home's ending and some other stuff like WandaVision. Lotta Iron Man stuff too.
On a more positive note, I love the "I've been where you are..." scene just like you, and it's one of the things that first really endeared me to the Loki and Sylvie dynamic. Do you have any insights/headcanons about Sylvie's thought process during the show at all? Or any Mbius headcanons in general?
Yeah I totally get what you mean. I kind of like those moments though that lead up to the âtragedyâ so to speak, I love me a bit of foreshadowing. But I completely understand and agree that on rewatch it feels harsher because you know whatâs coming.
I hated the Time Cell scene with Sif, I also hate how it was played off for laughs when she repeatedly kept slapping him and kneeing him in his glorious purpose (sorry I had tođ). Like, will I reblog or use the moment of him on his knees? Well, yes, but that doesnât mean I donât think context of which he is on his knees for is horrible. It also goes to show more about Mobiusâ character too, and I completely felt Lokiâs frustration because I know how it feels to not be listened to, but I also canât blame Mobius for his knee-jerk reaction of âhe betrayed meâ.
Sylvieâs thought process to me is a mirror to Lokiâs during Thor 1/Avengers, obviously they have different reasons/goals, but S1 she is in that same headspace of being blind-sighted by her own ambition and need for vengeance. She is fighting for her freedom and nothing will stop her from achieving that. Thereâs some great parallels there between her and Loki, how Loki has stated multiple times his opinion of freedom and how itâs a lie, whereas Sylvie doesnât seem to see it that way, and I think her perspective helps shift Lokiâs (especially with the added context of the TVA/HWR).
Sylvie is like a wounded animal. She lashes out and is quick to react. She doesnât think about the consequences. In S2 however, she is shown the consequences. And you can see how it begins to sober her up, makes her realise that whilst what she did was maybe the ârightâ thing, it wasnât as simple as right or wrong. Her and Loki are both selfish in different ways, but ultimately what it comes down to is their loneliness. She does the Loki thing and shrugs everything off as a mere inconvenience, thinking she knows best. Except, she truly has conviction. She really believes in what she says, what she stands for, which is something I feel Loki has struggled with. He didnât know what he stood for, until he had to made the hard choice of sacrifice to ensure his friends and the many lives on the branches were safe. Then he found his conviction.
Sylvie does care, she just opts to act aloof because thatâs all she knows, itâs how she protects herself. She had to build these defences after spending her whole life in apocalypses, on the run and raising herself. Sheâs going to have bad habits, morally grey thinking/beliefs, drastic behaviour and solutions because sheâs only had herself to learn from. Itâs like when you learn to drive from a parent and you pick up their bad habits, right? Except, she is the driver as well as the parent, and itâs a matter of nature vs nurture with her. The worlds she grew up in shaped her, they made her who she is.
I donât really have any Mobius headcannons, but I think he would definitely be a great friend. Not a perfect friend by any means, but he would fight your corner when you needed him, challenge you to think differently and also let himself learn from you in return.

A Ticklish Confession
Synopsis: You write a fan letter to Mr. Hiddleston and express your admiration for him and how heâs impacted your life. Loki is your favorite character as you have many of the same feelings about yourself as Loki does. However, you get overly excited that youâre writing a letter to him and tell him about the tickle fictions you write about yourself and Loki. What would he think? Would he be creeped out or would he think itâs cute? You wonât know until you get a letter from the actor. Will you ever meet? Will he play on your little ticklish weakness? Only time will tell. And heâs only four years older than you too. Sorry itâs so long of a story!
Language: None
Rating: G
Pairing: Female Reader, Tom Hiddleston, significant other
Tom HiddlestonâŠ.The actor that you began liking in 2017 after watching the Thor and Avengers movies with your significant other. You thought he was just amazing and adorable, the way he troped around being evil but then became sort of good. You understood the dynamics with his family, as you felt you were under appreciated in many ways too. This made you feel a sort of kinship with the character and youâd loved him since then. He was a very good actor in your opinion as you began to watch other films Tom was in. âHe has such a good range,â you thought. âAnd he seems so sweet and genuine towards other people he encountersâ, based on interviews youâd seen with him in them.
As your admiration grew for Tom, you had gotten obsessed with Loki. Everything about him. His looks, his playfulness and his love of ruling Midgard (Earth) or thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread. Your significant other even knew of your admiration for Tom and didnât mind at all, because he knew at the end of the day, you loved and cherished him. No one else. You didnât know Tom personally anyway (but youâd get the chance to).
One day, you were on Facebook and saw that someone had gotten an autographed picture of Tom, who had written a cute little note to them. That gave you the idea to try and see if you could get any correspondence with the actor. He was not the first actor youâd written to for an autograph, but you still excited you of the chance he may read your letter. Tom himself even said he reads every letter he had gotten from fans.
You went in search of a pen and some paper and sat down on the couch to begin writing. âWhat do I say to someone who Iâve never met before and has no idea I even exist?â, you thought self consciously. You Googled the question on your phone and got many different answers, of which you read some. You decided to go with a formal introduction, âDear Mr. Hiddleston,â and then laid the pen down to think of what to say to him. âI guess I can tell him how much I like him as Loki and how good of a job heâs done as the character,â you thought. âAnd also how sweet and silly Tom seemed to be.â
As you picked up the pen and wrote, the excitement in you only grew. You talked about when you first saw him as Loki because your significant other had gotten you into all of the Marvel Cinematic Universeâs movies when you began living together during your engagement. You were first introduced to Guardians of the Galaxy,â and thought Chris Pratt was pretty cool. (He was also an actor you began to like because of the movies.) It didnât take long before you got to watch the âThorâand âAvengersâ films. This is where you first saw Tom, as well as other actors like Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth. You thought the actresses were cool and became fans of them also. But it was the god of Mischief that captured most of your attention. âTheyâre all so cute,â you thought. But again. It was Tom who really got your attention. You loved how he conveyed his pain and anger, (and silliness) as you tended to act pretty much the exact same. You knew what it was like to be different and kind of alone. Plus, Tom was easy on the eyes, so it made watching the movies even better.
Time went on as your admiration and love for Tom and Loki grew. You began to buy Loki merchandise, such as shirts, a Disneyland pair of Minnie ears with the signature crown, and a Miss Minutes plushie to show your love and support for the character. Like many, you believed Loki was damaged and not actually evil. When you got to the Loki tv show, he even said he didnât like to be the bad guy. That he had to act like that to fool people. You had met âLokiâ when youâd gone to Disneyland and you were excited to meet the god, but it wasnât the same as meeting Hiddleston. That was your goal. You wanted to meet the man behind the mischief.
You also began your own private and public fan-fictions of yourself and Loki. You began writing fan fiction in 2004 after you saw âFinding Neverland,â with another admired actor, Johnny Depp. You started off writing about Captain Jack Sparrow and yourself, but you added a twist to it. You loved tickling. The whole idea of being chased and tickled to death when caught. And the teasing! Oh, the teasing made you blush every time you had read/written tickling fan-fiction! It was the playfulness that you wanted in your life. Thatâs what you wrote about in your journals because you wanted a place to escape to when life got too crazy.
You loved writing for yourself and no one else. It freed you up to write about whatever you wanted (tickling) and no one would see it. You were too shy and embarrassed at the thought of your family reading such fiction. However, you had gotten on Tumblr and written some stories under a pseudonym in case people you knew where on the site as well. It embarrassed you to be in your late thirties and writing about characters like Loki or Captain Jack Sparrow tickling you out of your mind. But hey. It was all in good fun. Nothing more.
You sat back for a minute to review your letter and wondered if Tom would be weirded out by reading it and think you were really strange. Or would he find it adorable and funny? Time would only tell. It was known to you that he was only four years older than you as well. You also had a brother who was a few months younger than Tom. As you read the letter back to yourself in your head you thought, âthis is crazy! I just shared my one true weakness with Tom Hiddleston! The god of freaking Mischief! Why did I do that?â Finally, you bravely decided to send the letter to see if youâd get anything like an autograph back from the actor. He was known for responding to fans with cute notes written on pictures of him. He was a true gentleman.
Months flew by as you waited to see if you had gotten anything back from Tom. Yes. It took forever but the wait was well worth it. One day, you went out to get your mail and saw a large envelope addressed to you from none other than⊠TOM HIDDLESTON! Your heart nearly jumped out of your chest with excitement as you took out the envelope. You quickly ran back inside your house and sat the rest of the mail aside for later. You walked over to your couch and sat down. Smiling from ear to ear as you carefully opened the package. Sure enough, inside was a picture of Loki with a personal note from Tom himself. You almost screamed out loud with joy and excitement, but contained yourself as you read what heâd written. âDear (Y/N), Thank you for your kind letter. Iâm glad Loki has impacted you so. Not to worry. I doubt youâre anything like Loki. You seem very sweet and down to earth. Best Wishes-Tom Hiddleston P.S. Inside I have also enclosed my personal cell phone number so we can become friends and correspond with each other (I know the REAL Tom wouldnât do that. But a woman can dream, canât she? ). P.S.S. It was not a good idea to tell the god of Mischief about your weakness, darling!â
After you read the message back to yourself a few times, you began to realize he DID in fact, read your letter. ALL of your letter. âWhy did I write that?! Why, oh why?!â you kept repeating to yourself. You were so embarrassed knowing that Tom now knew you were ticklish and that Loki was the one who gave you such attention in your stories. âI hope he knows itâs all for fun,â you thought with a bit of concern. âIâm sure he does,â you confidently said out loud.
A few days went by as you showed your significant other the autograph you had gotten from Tom. They thought it was pretty cool that youâd gotten a real response instead of an auto penned response. He smirked as he asked, âwhy did you tell him you were ticklish? That seems so weird to tell someone you donât even know. And his phone number? Iâve never seen anyone famous put their personal phone number on an autograph before.â You spoke up. âWell, Tom is different. He actually responds to fan letters, or so Iâve read.â
Another few days went by as you kept looking at the phone number on your autograph. Wondering if it was really Tomâs number or just a scammer trying to get something from you. So, with your significant other by your side on speaker phone, you nervously dialed the number. It was ringing! In a matter of seconds, you could be talking to Tom Hiddleston himself on the other end of the line. Finally, someone answered the phone and you took a deep breath. âHello?â you heard in a familiar British accent. Ahhh! It WAS Tom! Excitement overwhelmed you as you tried to speak. âI-IâŠ.Got your autograph today in the mail. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much!â He asked who this was and you told him it was (Y/N) who had written to him months earlier. He instantly remembered your letter . âAh, yes. I remember now. Thank you for your kind words and support. You donât know how much that truly means to me. Iâm glad Loki inspires you. HoweverâŠâ Uh-Oh! Here it came. He thought you were a weirdo, until he continued to speak. âI found out some utterly adorable news about you, (Y/N),â he said in a sort of teasing manner. âNewsâŠ.About me? Really?â You played it off as if you didnât know what he was talking about but he had caught you in your little fib. âI am the god of Mischief after all,â he softly laughed into the phone. Your heart fluttered as you looked at your significant other and mouthed, âthis is awesome!â There was a pause. âSo, how ticklish are you, exactly?â Nope. Uh-uh. You knew it was a trap and tried to change the subject but your significant other spoke up. âSheâs INCREDIBLY ticklish. You barely touch her and sheâs in hysteria.â No! He had spilled the beans on you to the actor and loved every second of it. He smiled proudly at you. âI hate you,â you mouthed again playfully.
All went silent for a second. âHello? (Y/N)? Are you there?â Tom asked politely. âYeah. Iâm here. Sorry. I was thinking about how to answer your question without incriminating myself.â The actor laughed as you tried to muster up as much courage as you could. His laugh! Ugh! You loved when Tom laughed. He was just too adorable. Finally, you spoke. âItâs true. Iâm that sensitive. Why do you ask?â you tried to play it off once again. âWell,â he began. âI remember you talking about Loki and yourself in stories you had written. How he tickled you so.â Your face went flush with embarrassment as you tried to think of something to say. âUh? Yeah,â you replied shyly. He continued. âLike I wrote on your picture. Itâs not something you should tell the god of Mischief.â He smiled over the phone and you could hear it in his voice. Whew! He thought it was funny that you had such a weakness. You didnât weird him out after all.
âMaybe I wanted to tell him,â you said as a matter of factly. You all laughed again as you talked to the actor for a short bit. Then Tom had some news. âIâd really like to meet you, (Y/N). How would you like it if I flew you and your significant other to London for a special meet and greet? Would that be okay?â You looked at your significant other as he agreed to the invitation to go to London to meet Tom. âThank you!â Tom heard you semi yell. You didnât do it directly into the phone but he could still hear you. âNo problem. I will handle everything. You just need to get yourselves ready because Iâm planning on having you flown here tomorrow.â âTOMORROW?!â you both thought. âThatâs really sudden,â Tom heard your significant other say. Your heart nearly dropped at the possibility of not meeting Tom, when your significant other told you he had time off he needed to use or heâd lose it. âAhh! Thank you! Hold on a sec, Tom.â You said as you put your phone down and hugged your significant other. âOkay. Iâm back,â he heard you say.
âWell,â he began. âIt sounds to me like someone is excited. Doesnât it, (Y/N)? he teased again. You blushed right after Tom had said this. âStop! Iâm blushing! Haha!â you replied. âAww! Darling! I wish I could see how red your face is right now.â Finally, you discussed travel arrangements and what time youâd get into London. After a few more minutes of small talk, you said your âgoodbyesâ and got things together for your trip. You could hardly sleep that night.
The next morning, you and your significant other woke up extra early so you had plenty of time to get to the airport. You were tired but the adrenaline was starting to kick in and you became excited again. Once at the airport, you checked your bags and waited in the area that your flight was. It was only a few hours wait but to you, it felt like an eternity. You tried everything you could to keep yourself busy until it was time to go. Finally, it was time to board and you hurriedly gathered your things to get in line. Once on the plane, you settled in for a LONG flight but you didnât care. You were off to meet Tom freaking Hiddleston!
You had brought your laptop with you so you could watch movies to pass the time. It consisted of all the âThorâ movies, some of the Avengers movies that Loki was in and âLokiâ the show. The hours passed by quickly and before you knew it, you were in London. Tom had sent a limo to pick you up and take you to his house as to not cause a stir with other fans. Your heart was racing now. You were still excited after all that time on the plane, so you werenât as tired.
The driver helped you both in and you buckled your seat belts quickly. The drive to Tomâs home didnât take too too long, but you couldnât wait any longer. You wanted to meet him and chat with him. The limo pulled into a driveway of a gorgeous home and you and your significant other got out to get your bags. While your back was turned, Tom cleverly snuck up on you as he made a âshhâ gustier to your significant other. âI am Loki! Prince of Asgard! And I am burdened by glorious purpose!â You semi jumped as you heard him right behind you.
You slowly turned around to see the actor smiling at you with open arms. He hugged you as you exchanged pleasantries and you felt like you could just die. âTom Hiddleston hugged me! EEK!â you thought to yourself. You didnât get to meet Zawe or their son since she was away working on a film and had the toddler with her. âThatâs okay. Iâll meet them another time, Iâm sure.â Finally, you and your significant other picked up your bags and followed Tom into the house. He then took your bags for you and placed them in a spare bedroom for the two of you.
âYour home is beautiful,â you commented as you walked inside. âThank you,â he replied. âWe like it.â After getting settled, you all sat in the living room to chat and get to know each other. âSo,â Tom began. âI hear you are a big Loki fan. Well, I really appreciate it. I do.â âThanks. I owe it to this one for getting me into the MCU.â You pointed at your significant other. âAnd of course, Iâm team Loki. Even though I love the Avengers.â He perked up. âAh. Then I have question for youâŠ.Team Captain America or Team Iron Man?â Oh, he didnât just put you on the spot. You couldnât choose between them, so you just said, âTeam Both.â Tom shook his head and smiled. âA dignified answer. I must say.â
The three of you sat and talked for a while as you told each other about your lives and what was going on. âPlease donât ask if Iâm ticklish again. PLEASE donât.â âSo how ticklish are you?â Tom asked in a sneakily playful manner. You covered your face which was turning red due to embarrassment. Your significant other just looked at you as if waiting to hear your answer. âUhâŠNot much?â you tried to lie again. âCome on. You can tell me. Iâm only the god of Mischief.â âThatâs why Iâm afraid to tell you,â you smiled widely. âHey. Either you tell me, or weâre (your S.O. and Tom) going to tickle it out of you.â Whoa! That came out of left field! Your heart began to race as you tried to think on an answer. âJust so you know, I can tell when youâre lying,â he said again. âBetter to just tell him the truth, sweetie. It probably wonât be that bad if you do.â You thought for a second and decided to tell the truth. âIâm extremely ticklish everywhere.â
Tom grinned evilly (he looked so much like Loki at that moment) and said, âthank you, darlingâŠ(S/O Name),â he said still looking at you. âWould you care to assist me in tickling your (Y/N)?â âOf course,â he said. Tom motioned for you to lay on the floor with your arms up.
You did as requested and laid down between he and your significant other. Trying not to smile too much. âOhâŠ.Youâll be doing a lot more than smiling in a moment.â He then told your significant other to hold your arms up at the wrists as he straddled you. âHello,â Tom said suspiciously. âHiâ, you replied. You looked up. âHi.â âHiâŠ.â You couldnât believe the man you loved would be on Tomâs side (Come on. Yes you did!). âSo. Since you know (Y/N) so well, would you mind informing me where she is most ticklish?â He smirked. âI could be so evil right now. So I would say her belly and the sides of her belly. â â(S/O)!â you replied quickly. âY/N)!â he replied. âLooks like youâre outnumbered, (Y/N)âŠâ Tom noticed.
âI guess Iâll begin. Are you ready?â You shook your head âyesâ without another word. He slowly pulled up your shirt as he continued looking at you. âYouâre sure?â you significant other reiterated. âYes,â you said out loud. âYou heard her,â Tom teased. He softly touched your skin as you jerked a little. âAh! Looks like she was telling the truth. Well, letâs see how hard I can make you laugh.â With that, he continued tickling your belly as your laugh became more prominent. Your significant other got an idea and began tickling under your arms. â(S/O)! Nahahaooo!â â(Y/N)! Yes!â he replied. âAhahaha!â
The feeling through your body came alive while you were being tormented simultaneously. You were having the best time! Tickled by both Loki and the man whom youâd loved and known for over a decade. âIâll gehehet y-you back! Hahahaha!â âNahahahoo! Yohuhu wonât!â your significant other teased back. âTo-ha-hom! Youâre nehehext!â âTrying to get back at the god of Mischief, are we? Well, you will not prevail!â You laughed until you couldnât breathe and that is when the two men stopped tickling you.
You heaved in air as much as you could while coming down from your high. âAre you going to be okay?â your significant other asked with a small laugh. âYes,â you replied. Still out of breath. âI think we broke her,â Tom joked. âOh, shush!â you playfully replied. Finally, the two men let you up and hugged you. âYouâre good, right?â Tom reiterated. âYeah. Iâm fine. Thanks, guys.â
The days flew by and then it was time for you and your significant other to head home. Tom, himself drove you to the airport even though he might get recognized. He didnât care. He wanted to make sure you and your significant other boarded the plane without any problems. Once it was time to go, Tom hugged you and shook your significant otherâs hand. âThank you so much for everything!â you said wholeheartedly. âYouâre welcome, darling. Hey. Keep my number. We are friends now. Arenât we?â You smiled. âOf course!â Here. Iâll give you our numbers too so you have them.â You wrote the numbers in Tomâs phone and handed it back to him. âWell, have a safe flight home.â âThanks. Is it okay if we call you when we get home?â you asked shyly. âOf course. Day or night. Iâll answer. If I donât, just leave me a message and Iâll get back to you as soon as I can.â Finally, your flight was called and Tom walked to the runway entrance with you both. âThank you, again!â you said waving to Tom. âThanks!â your significant other said. âYouâre welcome!â you heard the actor say as his voice faded. This was definitely the best trip of your life, and as you promised, you called and let Tom know you were home. You three stayed friends from then on.

20 questions for 20 writers
tagged by @wheelsup-sevenup
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 69 (nice đ)
2. Whatâs your total AO3 word count? 317,923
3. What fandoms do you write for? Marvel (mostly ironwidow) and Our Flag Means Death. I have some Clexa fics from back in the day but haven't written for the fandom in years.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? i'm kinda surprised by these but i guess that older fics and multichapter fics have more time to accumulate kudos? - Something Worth Living For (2498 kudos) - A Night of Drunken Revelry (564 kudos) - iron masks and spider kisses (534 kudos) - Broken (485 kudos) - The Art of Taking a Blade (461 kudos)
5. Do you respond to comments? YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES. I try to reply to every comment because each one is literally the best part of my day.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Oof. The shit I've put Natasha through lol. Probably falling. which is Natasha reflecting on her life as she falls to her death on Vormir. dream. is also up there, it's about kid!Natasha learning to love Yelena as a sister.
7. Whatâs the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? "happiest" is not quantifiable lmao. In the context of canon, maybe Something Worth Living For, it was cathartic and healing to give Clarke and Lexa their happy ending.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Yup it's happened a handful of times, luckily few and far between, but they always feel like getting a splinter stuck in my skin for days afterwards.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I've written light smut of the sapphic variety. I'm ace so smut is never about the sex for me, it's about character dynamics, power and intimacy. For example, the (non-explicit) sex scene in iron masks and spider kisses is about Toni baring her deepest secrets to Natasha and letting herself be vulnerable with her, and Natasha's acceptance of Toni's scars and past.
10. Do you write crossovers? Nope. My brain doesn't work that way.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I think that some of my very early ironwidow fics have ended up on Wattpad :/
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not that I know of
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yup I've written a few early ironwidow fics for a challenge waaaaaay back in 2014, with the talented @auripigmentum, @kuailongs and SatinSatire. They helped me find my footing with writing ironwidow: Chemical Reaction (Tony gets kidnapped, Nat comes to his rescue), Never Simple (Natasha finds out secrets about her own past, angst ensues), and Good Intentions (speakeasy era AU that still lives in my head rent-free)
14. Whatâs your all-time favorite ship? i'd be lying if i said anything other than ironwidow. It's the ship I keep coming back to for over a decade.
15. Whatâs a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oh god. The teen vigilante Avengers AU I was writing in 2014. Idk if it'll ever see the light of day but it was my all-consuming pride and joy for months.
16. What are your writing strengths? idk, you tell me. probably putting characters through angsty situations lmao. Also action scenes (thank u Warrior Cats).
17. What are your writing weaknesses? actually writing lmao. It's hard to get into the mood/mindest for writing. Also writing multichapter fics â my attention span isn't built for anything longer than a 5+1.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I rarely do this because I know that code-mixing (mixing two or more languages when speaking) is incredibly nuanced, varying depending on language, context, and individual speakers. I pretty much only do this when the character canonically code-mixes in speech, and I try to stick to how they would speak, in order to sound as natural as possible.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Warrior Cats when I was about 12 on deviantart. Good times.
20. Favorite fic youâve written? Oh MAN. It's hard to choose a favourite child. I don't think this is my most well-written fic, but the question is asking for a favourite fic not a well-written one, and it's probably iron masks and spider kisses. I loved exploring fem!Toni, and her relationship with her gender and femininity. It's a specific flavour of ironwidow that I haven't found in many other fics (tho there are a couple out there that definitely influenced how i wrote this fic). It's also truly a labour of love â I started writing this around the time Endgame was coming out, and wrote it over a time of enormous change, angst and upheaval in my life.
This was so much fun! I love talking about my writing haha and sharing older fics.
Tagging: @queeenpersephone @autumnwoodsdreamer @missmacfire also i'm realising that i don't remember which of my mutuals is a writer (it's 1 am u can't blame me for this) so if you're a writer â especially if you're on the OFMD fic server â consider yourself tagged!

What would be your ideal dynamic for wanda and vision in a current comic? I like both characters and I appreciate their relationship in the past but I donât like the thought of them being together again (not just because of Jericho but because of all the baggage). I wish they could be good friends. They have a history but itâs not who they are
Well, I definitely don't want them to get back together as a couple. There are many reasons, but in terms of Wanda's characterization, I think that it would undermine her growth and maturity.
Wanda's publication history is pretty clearly divided into two periods-- before Disassembled/House of M, and after. Her character, post-HoM, has been defined by regret and trauma in way that she never really had been before, with her primary motive becoming redemption. The traumatic events and the layers of sexism, ableism, etc. in her writing had been adding up for years before Disassembled, but that event took things to an unprecedented level of cruelty, in both the treatment of the character, and in the message it sent about... basically everything Wanda represents.
In my mind, the only way to move forward from that is to textually acknowledge and interrogate all of the ways in which that storyline was messed up. That still hasn't happened, at least not in a way that is fully satisfying to me, but writers have certainly tried. I think, for Wanda, the most important thing is to let her acknowledge the injustices that she was subjected to, and show that she has chosen to seek healing and restitution.
In other words, she needs to have a marked shift in growth and maturity. She cannot ever be the same person she was in the 70s, 80s, or even the 90s. To be clear, Wanda's redeemed herself several times over, but I believe that the weight of her experiences and the strength gained from her survival need to remain at the core of her characterization, especially for all of her recent magical prowess and personal victories over her past abusers-- namely Chthon-- to feel earned.
Obviously, it should be possible for a character to reunite with an old lover and lose all of their personal growth, but this is Marvel Comics. Characters cycle back to older character treatments, older relationships, even older personalities all the time. I mean, a huge part of the early Krakoa era was about gently resetting characters to their most evergreen iterations. That's fine, it's part of the medium, but I think Wanda needs to stay out of that cycle, and I just don't have faith that the writers and editors will be able to put her and the Vision together without giving into nostalgia, to say nothing of the M C U synergy.
I have loads of other objections, but here are the main two--
1) Wanda and Vision have a ton of recent baggage, from just the last decade. Vision was cruel to her in AvX; he went through something very heavy and traumatic with Virginia, which was also kind of messed up for Wanda; andâ this is the big oneâ they were mutually raped in Secret Empire. The text does not properly acknowledge that fact, but that's because Secret Empire was a really fucked up book in the first place.
2) I think the fact that Wanda and Jericho's relationship never got any serious page time or development after Uncanny Avengers is a crying shame, and I think that it is in part due to racism. Breaking them up before they get their time to shine would be a huge disappointment, and I feel like doing it so unceremoniously just to pander to Wanda//Vision fans, let's be honest, would feel kinda antiblack. To me! I'm just saying!
Anyways, here's Vision, Wanda, and Jericho (& Clint!) having a lunch together in Avengers: No Road Home. They're pals, Wanda and Vision are friendly exes who care about each other a lot, but they're just very different people from who they were back when they were together. That is exactly how I want their dynamic to be written in the upcoming Avengers.
