am I getting too convoluted if I said Johnny dies Dallas lives n Pony loses his hearing as a result of the way Dallas hits him (to put out the fire) when he pulls him out of the church au??
#idk man#this idea has been rotting in my head for a long time#i have like a terribly rough outline#where basically the events of the book happen exactly as canon up until post church fire#so pony johnny n dallas are in the hospital#n ponys reeling from literally everything that just happened#n he reunites with soda n darry n suddenly realizes like oh fuck#i cannot hear sodas hysterically releived laughter#or darrys voice as he thanks god ponys fine#n then the dr pulls darry aside n tells him that pony has profound hearing loss as a result of an injury sustained during the fire#the last voice he will ever have heard clearly is johnnys#johnny dies canon complicent#but before dallas can get himself shot by the cops darry gets to him first#so dallas survives#pony learns asl from a deaf woman who their family has always been familiar with#since their parents were always real keen on including people that the rest of the world looked down on#dallas has to deal with not only surviors guilt but feeling like he took something from Pony that can never be given back#he has his own arc with the woman#but it basically all boils down to deafness is not the LOSS of something#but rather just the ADDITION of a new community n language n experience#plus dallas learns sign n is just utterly overwhelmed by feelin like his hands can be used for somethin soft n good#UGH#if yall wanna hear more about this lemme know#bc i have been thinking about this for a WHILE#the outsiders#sodapop curtis#ponyboy curtis#darry curtis#dallas winston#the outsiders 1983

#I know the clarkes disease or whatever it’s called was almost certainly a last minute addition. like with the amount of haziness in the#continuity surrounding Henry it’s clear they didn’t have an exact idea of when he died. but man I wish they included it so much earlier bc#it does retroactively inform so much! like him as a grown ass man beefing with Vulcans comes across as annoying and occasionally dubious#but it makes so much more sense if it comes from the brain of a 12 year old boy who just watched his father die a slow painful death while#people who could’ve helped him didn’t#whatever. I’m actually a very normal person. that person who shouted me out for archer posting a few weeks back is eating good

does anyone else find it kinda weird that SPOP just casually dropped in the fact that there’s a Prince who can see ANYWHERE in the world magically, aka the perfect spy, and Glimmer just… didn’t think of recruiting him?
Why wasn’t Peekablue already part of the Rebellion??? What is he using his powers for that’s soooo important? He could literally see all of the Horde’s plans and warn the Rebellion and give them a HUGE leg up on them, and he wasn’t even mentioned until S5.
I know he was a hermit almost never seen but are you telling me Glimmer wouldn’t even TRY to find him and convince him to join?That’s a mystery in itself; where IS Peekablue, and why does no one care? Is he literally missing? Because if he’s literally missing, maybe someone should help him.
#Spop#she ra#spop critical#peekablue was a plot device and nothing more— but a poorly conceived one#a glaringly obvious last-minute addition/excuse for them to add filler#and I’m //assuming// peekablue probably came up in the writers room sometime before S5 so they had time to work that in#I think they didn’t want to give the Rebellion such a big advantage but they were extremely lazy in their justification#For why they didn’t have Peekablue— ‘he’s a hermit he’s missing’ so fucking find him??#shouldn’t you be at least a little concerned if a magical prince vanishes?#at best he’s MIA at worst the Horde has him and is using him to spy on you. Which if that was a possibility— why not bring that up in S4?#that’s me giving them the benefit of the doubt. peekablue might not have come up in the writers room at all before the 5th season. 🤷🏻♀️#I mean Magicats didn’t and Catra was the main antagonist/love interest.#I think the SPOP writers— or maybe just ND— are just not very good at their jobs

While they are not my fave drivers on the grid, I don't hate CS and GR as directors of GPDA but I'm gonna need them to give the FIA a lot more energy and problems. You two have teeth, I have seen them, go show them to the FIA.
Yeah this. They are both persistent in their own way and given the year we are in for with the FIA we are gonna need that energy.
Plus I think it's good we have Carlos there because I am concerned Merc is trying to keep George from speaking up and doing more. Toto's pivot on his FIA talk at the end of the season was concerning.
In any case, I think this is a good move and look forward to their work.

#idk why the image pasted like that but anyways haha im once again in a fucking pit#last month i was able to accumulate enough savings from collectively work and also other stuff#so i have a bit of extra in case of emergencies and additional expenses like taxes and stuff#but then guess who decided to not tell me he can't send me money by the end of the month - the time when i have to pay rent?#:DDD my beloved father#so i end up using the savings to pay for it#and i dont blame him or im not mad at him at all#especially because sending me money is already enough of a privilege that not a lot of people have#but at the very least if you don't think you can send me money can't you just tell me?#that way i can work for it???#because now im literally sitting with no money with food running out quickly in the fridge#i can't pick up a shift because whether its out of town or in my city it doesn't matter#i have no way to transport myself there other than on foot or on my bike#and i cant even cycle there without eating otherwise i'd basically sentence myself to death#so im trying to get by without eating for a couple of days right now but its just#sigh#i keep telling my father that i don't blame him and im not mad at him if he can't send me money when i need him to#but please tell me because i literally cannot take a shift this month because i need to study for the exams#and if i fail these exams i literally have one more chance to do them or else i have to repeat a year#which is going to cost us more in the long run#and just#yeah#maybe the hunger is getting to my head#im not going to open emergency comms this time because technically speaking i do have a job i can do#its just i need to just wait for the money that was supposed to be in my bank account to be sent#so i can eat and also i can have money for transportation#haku vents#venting#yeah no im just not in a good spot right now#apologies to mutuals and friends if i can't be on often

congratulate me it's the 6 year anniversary of the time i apologized to 🌸 for wronging them by having experienced a desire to kiss them
#yes this is how we got together. yes i know you remember this and it was also annoying back then#box opener#we both had to work today but managed to fit in pancake breakfast and vegan italian restaurant dinner so i consider it a success#pancakes are really outrageously good. and very easy to veganize with no decline in quality which is a perk in a Mixed Diets household#if you don't make your own pancake mix i recommend trying it at some point. it lasts a long time and it tastes nicer b/c you can combine#various flours and meals to add additional flavor beyond the enticing yet weird glue paste quality that i always get from white flour only#however i was raised on whole wheat + oat flour pancakes so i may be the only person with this problem.#forget my anniversary this is a pancakes post now. do you think pancakes are better with additional flour types????
