The most important part of the Altissia chapter is when they're being questioned by customs and Ignis looks at their party of:

1) Him 2) A college age punk 3) A man wider and taller than a fridge wearing no shirt and with several enormous scars 4) The actual crown prince of a neighboring country, making no effort to disguise himself

and decides their best cover story is

"✨We are students of the culinary arts.✨"

And it works.

desperately trying to remember the graphic part of graphic design (full drawing below cut!)

introducing my pop disaster, Marnie Williams Daydream! she's upbeat and cheery on stage but a nervous wreck behind the scenes, pining after her manager and wishing things could go back to how they used to be with her ex-best-friend... oh honey, you've got a big storm coming.

this was meant to just be a quick sketch to unwind so I started out using a base by @/albanenechi but then decided I wanted to change what the arms and feetsies were doing :3 then I realised that the sketch was actually pretty good already so I cleaned it up and went straight to colouring. I love skipping the lineart stage so much.

#infamous if #honestly figuring out the layout was pretty hard for me #since my classes focused on graphic design as far as it pertains to game art and assets which #well magazines don't come into that much #but I KNOW I covered a bit about magazines in Creative Writing and Business Studies when I was like.... 15-17 #but it was fun! I mostly looked at Kerrang covers for inspiration but then went for a more colourful / less edgy look #since VeDa are pop aligned with bright cheerful vibes #I don't think it really looks like a *music* magazine but it definitely looks like a magazine of some sort i think #also don't talk to me about the headlines/featured articles. i was drawing a blank since chronologically idk where this would be #also I was never planning to use purple in the beginning. i just knew i wanted green stripey trousers.#and for the top i wasn't sure what to go with so I experimented with a few things and nothing looked Right until I hit purple #SORRY FOR THE TAG RAMBLINGS I JUST. So let's just recap:

Our main character was havin some head owies so we go to use some binoculars and look at the location of his divine madness and then an extremely shady gentleman shows up, quotes nursery rhymes at us, and asks us to follow him to a secondary location, which we do, and it's the resting place of god, who tries to kill us, (oh btw your dead girlfriend is alive) and Gladio decides the best time to vent his vocational frustrations is right after throwing himself off an eighty foot cliff, and then the military shows up, and we break gods arm, and then procede to (under duress) follow said shady man to a tertiary location, where he proceeds to drop us off at summer camp and steal our car.

And then GODS RECEPTIONIST shows up amd goes btw talk to my bosses. Also your girlfriend's alive and you should go touch these weird rocks. Have a dog.

And this all happens in less than thirty minutes.

i like overthink everything now it makes me feel so dumb. i used 2 be able to just talk 2 ppl but nowadays every single thing im like Is that actually going to make them hate me. Yes probably. and then i just dont respond which makes ppl hate me. this is how it is

WHY IS IT SO #difficult. and then usually i either just dont say anythinf and feel awful abt it 4ever OR i send it on anon and then i spend like 15 #minutes ibsessively slightly tweaking the apelling and capitalization and punctuation to make sure it doesnt seem like its me just in case #it Is the worst possible thing to say but then i see the response and itll be like AWWW TYSM :] THIS MEANS A LOT or whathaveyou and i feel #stupid bc i couldve just Told them this to their face and it wouldve been a good positive interaction we had. but instead i had 2 hide and #tyoe entirely differently so they couldnt sniff me from my typing style. and it soesnt even feel like the thanks is actually 4 me bc i #tweaked the message sm. and it still makes me happy that the oersons hapoy but its like. that couldve been a nice mutual interaction #like not that i need a personal ty i compliment ppl when i Want to compliment ppl and when its genuine yk. i dont do it so i get mutualpoint
