That Torchwood Cardiff section in the middle of The Death of Captain Jack was a wild ride. I mean, firstly Ianto! and then the clothing imagery was... interesting. And John, of all people, highlighted that Myfanwy is a Pteranodon and not a Pterodactyl, then immediately killed her?! I've never had such a fast turn of emotions. And he got Gwen killed on a mission which revealed his go-to thing in those situations are condolence emails which they forgot to send so poor Rhys turns up and John shoots him!

Then Andy pops up and I don't think I've ever heard him more done with Torchwood than in that moment and I don't blame him! John also seems equally done which makes sense with his tendency to grow bored of things.

It touches on CoE with John, horrifyingly yet completely in character, being willing to hand over 10% of the world's children. Which is then immediately followed up by the best part of it all when John brushes over Miracle Day with "the less we say about that the better." which went from me completely disagreeing with his actions to suddenly agreeing with his statement in a blink of an eye. Like I said, wild ride.

I mean, Torchwood is naturally a wild, crazy ride but John Hart never fails to take it to the next level.
