star girl
summary: you were always in love with JJ and when he finally noticed you, someone had to appear to make him take his attention off of you.
warnings: nothing
word counter: 5403
author’s note: english is not my first language, unfortunately I don't know what's going on and i can't tag anyone.
The first time you realized you had a crush on JJ Maybank, you were nine years old. It was a hot afternoon on the Outer Banks, and everyone was at the beach. John B and the other boys were competing to see who could run the fastest to the pier. You, as always, were sitting on the sand, watching from a distance, knees drawn to your chest, wanting to be a part of his world.
You couldn't take your eyes off JJ. His carefree smile, the sparkle in his blue eyes, the messy blonde hair that seemed to catch the sunlight. Even at that age, there was something special about him, an energy that drew you in without you being able to help it. While John B protected you like the older brother he was, you dreamed that one day JJ would look at you the way he looked at the ocean waves: with admiration, with interest. But for years, that day never came.
To him, you were always John B’s little sister, a constant but almost invisible presence in his life. The girl who ran after the Pogues, who listened to their stories from the corner of the room, laughing when everyone else did, but who never got a special glance from JJ.
Until that night.
It was at one of those impromptu parties at the Routledge house, with the sound of the ocean in the background and lights hanging on the porch. The air was heavy with salt and laughter, and you had decided, almost without thinking, that tonight would be different. You had spent hours choosing what to wear, looking for a balance between casual and what might catch his attention. The short dress you chose was simple, but it knew how to highlight your subtle curves, the ones JJ had never noticed before.
When you got to the backyard, the party was already in full swing. Kie was dancing with Sarah near the fire pit, and John B was busy talking to Pope about a new adventure. But you weren’t looking for either of them. There was only one person on your mind.
You saw him leaning against the porch railing, a beer in his hand, talking to a blonde girl you didn’t know. Your heart sank for a moment. Sure, he was with another girl. He was always with some girl. But instead of turning around and giving up, something in you decided that this time you weren’t going to stay in the shadows.
You walked towards the group confidently, feigning a confidence you didn’t really feel, but that seemed to convince everyone. JJ saw you approach, and for the first time, his eyes stopped on you, not in passing, not as his best friend’s sister, but as someone who, for some reason, deserved his attention.
“Do you want a beer?” he offered, with that crooked smile that had always driven you crazy.
“Sure,” you replied with an equally confident smile, though inside your heart was pounding.
They spent the night talking, laughing, sharing glances you hadn’t imagined possible. It wasn’t just the beer; it was the way his fingers brushed yours as he passed you a bottle, the way his eyes roamed your face as if he were seeing it for the first time. He made you feel alive, wanted.
And then, close to midnight, when everyone was too busy to notice, he led you away from the hustle and bustle, to the back of the house, where the shadows met the moonlight.
“I always thought you were different,” he murmured, his voice low, his eyes fixed on yours.
“Different how?” you asked, barely breathing, afraid it was all a dream.
“I don’t know… I’ve never seen you like this before. But now I can’t stop looking at you.”
And then he kissed you. It was gentle at first, like he was testing something he had been waiting to discover. Your hands gripped his shirt, pulling him closer, afraid that if you let go, the moment would fade.
Ever since that night at the party, your relationship with JJ became a secret that throbbed between the two of you, hidden in the margins of your lives. When you were around others, he was still the same JJ: charismatic, carefree, the boy who joked with John B and made everyone laugh. But in those moments when his eyes met yours, there was something different. Something that only you two shared.
The escapades began to become more frequent. At first, they were small encounters: a furtive glance from across the room, the purposeful brush of your hands as you passed him a bottle, or a smile that disappeared as quickly as it had come. But over time, those stolen moments stopped being enough.
There were nights when JJ would send you a short, simple text: “Meet you at the dock.” And you, unable to resist, would sneak out of the house while John B slept, slipping through the shadows until you reached him. There, under the dim light of the stars and the sound of the waves crashing against the wood, JJ would wait for you. Always with that mischievous smile, always with the promise of making you forget the world for a while.
“Do you ever wonder what would happen if John B knew?” you asked one night, as you both sat on the edge of the dock, your feet dangling over the water.
JJ looked at you, his smile fading for a moment. He knew the question was going to come sooner or later.
“He’d probably kill me,” he replied with a soft laugh, but there was a truth in his words that made you shudder.
“I know,” you murmured, fiddling with a loose thread on the sleeve of your sweatshirt. It was the reality that always hung over the both of you, a cloud that never quite went away.
JJ slipped his arm around your waist, pulling you closer. His fingers traced soft circles on your skin, as if he wanted to calm your thoughts.
“But I also know I can’t stop looking at you,” he whispered close to your ear. “I don’t want to.”
His words hit you with a mix of excitement and fear. Because even though JJ was impulsive, and sometimes he didn’t think about the consequences, you knew his feelings were real. He didn’t say it to make you feel good, but because he truly meant it.
There were always boundaries, though. They never talked about the future, never wondered what they were to each other. Everything stayed in the present, in what they could steal from each other while no one was looking. And even though you wanted more—more of his touch, more of his glances, more of his time—there was a part of you that was afraid to ask for it.
There were days when reality hit you harder. Like when you saw him flirting with other girls at parties, his easy smile and undeniable charm melting hearts in its wake. You knew he’d always been like that, and that, in theory, you had no right to feel jealous. It wasn’t anything serious.
But it hurt.
“Why does it bother you?” he asked you once, after you confronted him about spending too much time with a girl at a party.
“I don’t know…” you lied, but you both knew the truth.
JJ looked at you with those blue eyes that seemed to see right through you. He moved in slowly, his fingers brushing your cheek before he cupped your chin, forcing you to look at him.
“You’re the one who’s here with me now” he whispered, his lips just inches from yours. “Not her.”
And when he kissed you, all your thoughts faded away, at least for a moment.
But reality always came back.
Despite the doubts that lingered in your head, you kept looking at JJ. Because even though there were no promises, even though he never assured you anything, you were willing to settle for what he gave you. It was enough… or at least, that’s what you tried to convince yourself.
But then, she showed up.
Her name was Emma. She wasn’t the type that usually hung out in the Outer Banks, nor some random girl who showed up at parties. She was new to the island, with a dazzling smile and a carefree air that caught everyone’s attention… including JJ.
The first time you saw her was at one of those beach gatherings, where all the Pogues and a few Kooks mingled. You were sitting near Kie and Sarah, enjoying the warmth of the fire, when you noticed her. Tall, blonde, with the kind of confidence that seemed to light up the place she was in.
But what really made you tense was seeing how JJ looked at her. It was a look you recognized all too well. The same one he’d started giving you in those first few encounters. The same one that had made you feel visible, wanted.
And now, that look was directed at someone else.
You swallowed the lump in your throat and tried to ignore it, telling yourself it meant nothing. JJ had always been charming with girls, always flirted. But there was a difference this time. Emma wasn’t just another one.
“Are you okay?” Sarah asked you, noticing your silence.
“Yes, everything is fine” you lied, forcing a smile that barely managed to convince her.
That night, JJ spent most of his time with Emma. He helped her light a new fire, offered her a beer, and when she laughed at one of his jokes, you felt something snap inside you.
He barely looked at you.
You tried not to give it any importance, thinking it was just one night. That the next day, things would go back to the way they were. But they didn't.
From that point on, Emma showed up at every party, every impromptu get-together, and JJ always found an excuse to get close to her. It seemed like the whole world had shrunk to that girl… except for you.
There was one afternoon when everyone decided to go surfing. You were used to seeing JJ in the water, seeing how his smile lit up when he challenged the waves. But that day, instead of being by your side, he was teaching Emma how to balance on the board. She was laughing nervously, and he was completely focused on her, as if nothing else mattered.
You felt the air grow heavy, like you couldn’t breathe. And though you tried to stay calm, it was hard not to notice how your presence had ceased to be relevant to him.
Later, as everyone relaxed on the sand, JJ walked over to where you were sitting alone, drawing circles in the sand with his fingers.
“Hey, what’s wrong? You’ve been really quiet lately,” he said, his carefree smile on, as if he hadn’t noticed anything.
Of course he hadn’t noticed.
“Nothing. I’m fine,” you murmured, not meeting his eyes.
“Are you sure?” he insisted, leaning slightly towards you, as if he wanted to figure out what you weren’t saying.
“Yeah, JJ. I’m fine,” you said more firmly, even though you knew it was an obvious lie.
He looked at you for a second longer, as if he was about to say something, but then Emma called out to him from the shore. And without a second thought, JJ stood up and walked away, leaving behind a void that seemed to grow ever larger.
That night, there was no “See you at the dock” text.
You stayed in your room, staring at the ceiling, wondering when Emma became his center of attention.
The next few days were silent torment. Emma kept showing up everywhere, and JJ was still by her side, oblivious to you. Every time you saw them together, every time you heard his laughter mixing with hers, you felt like you might… you didn’t even know.
Until one night, when the tension became unbearable, JJ found you alone on the dock, the same place where it had all started. He sat down next to you, the sound of the water breaking the silence between you.
“I’ve noticed you’ve been distant,” he said, glancing at you out of the corner of your eye. “Is something going on?”
You looked at him, and for the first time, you couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“You really don’t notice, JJ?” you asked, your voice filled with a mix of frustration and hurt.
“Notice what?” he replied, genuinely confused, as if everything that was going on between you had been invisible to him.
And there, at that moment, you understood. JJ Maybank was an idiot.
“Forget it,” you whispered, getting up from the spot and walking in another direction.
JJ watched you leave for a second longer, wanting to understand, but in the end, he simply stayed silent. Because to him, everything was fine.
The next day dawned hot, and the beach seemed like the only logical place to spend the afternoon. The boys had decided to surf, while you, Sarah, and Kie settled down on the sand, towels spread out and sunglasses covering your faces. The sun was beating down, and although you tried to relax and concentrate on the light conversation your friends were having, your gaze inevitably sought out JJ.
You found him quickly. It wasn’t hard. He was in the water, near the waves, with Emma. She was laughing, splashing as he helped her stabilize on the board, like he’d done with you so many times before. There was an ease in the way JJ moved with her, like nothing in the world could interrupt them. And it hurt more than you were willing to admit.
“Are you burning?” Kie asked, breaking you out of your thoughts.
“Oh? No… I’m fine,” you answered quickly, adjusting your sunglasses to hide the frown you hadn’t been able to help.
You tried to stay present, to laugh at the right moments, to talk about anything but what was really bothering you. But your eyes kept returning to JJ and Emma, like they were impossible magnets to control. Every laugh from her, every smile from him, stuck in you like a needle.
After a while, you got tired. Tired of pretending you didn’t care.
“I’m going to the water to cool off a bit,” you announced, getting up from your towel and brushing the sand off your legs.
“I’ll join you in a bit,” Sarah said, but you were already walking toward the shore.
The water was cool, an immediate relief from the scorching heat. You waded in up to your ankles, letting the small waves splash against your feet as you stared at the horizon. You took a deep breath, trying to drown out that feeling of discomfort that had been haunting you for days.
The sound of footsteps approaching behind you made you turn your head slightly. JJ.
“Aren’t you going to go any further in?” he asked, with that lazy smile he always seemed to have.
You didn’t answer. Instead, you continued to stare at the water, as if he wasn’t there. As if his presence didn’t affect you.
JJ didn’t seem to be put off by your silence. He moved closer, until he was close enough for his feet to touch the water as well.
“Are you mad at me?” he asked in a nonchalant tone, as if it was all a game to him.
“No, JJ. I’m not mad,” you murmured, not looking at him.
But he knew you well enough to know that wasn’t true. There was a moment of silence, and then, you felt it. His hand brushing your back, his fingers playing with the thin strap of your bikini.
“What are you doing?” you asked, turning to look at him, but it was too late. With a quick, precise movement, JJ peeled off the top strap of your bikini.
“JJ!” “Oh,” you exclaimed, heart racing as you scrambled to hold the fabric to your chest, keeping it from falling. Your eyes filled with a mix of disbelief and anger.
He laughed, that carefree laugh that always seemed to come out of him so easily.
“Relax, no one saw,” he said, quickly looking around. It was true. Sarah and Kie were still talking to each other on the sand, and everyone else was busy in their own worlds. No one was paying attention… except you.
“Why did you do that?” you asked, your voice steady, trying to stay calm as you tied your bikini back up.
JJ shrugged, that mischievous spark in his eyes.
“I wanted to see how you tanned.”
The answer made you boil inside. What was a light joke to him was an invasion to you, a reminder of how he always seemed to take everything lightly, even when you were at the edge of an emotional abyss.
You stared at him, your eyes burning.
“Why don’t you check to see if Emma has tanned?” you shot back, an edge to your voice that you couldn’t hide.
JJ raised an eyebrow, surprised by your response. The amusement on his face faded for a second, replaced by something that looked like curiosity.
“Are you jealous?” he asked, tilting his head, studying you like you were a puzzle he hadn’t finished putting together.
Jealous. The word hung in the air, heavy, loaded with meaning. Of course you were, but you would never admit it to him. Not to him. Not after how he’d been ignoring you.
“Don’t make me laugh, JJ,” you said sarcastically, crossing your arms over your chest. “Why would I be jealous? What you do with Emma is none of my business, is it?”
You saw him tense, if only for a second. But JJ was JJ, and he quickly returned to his carefree facade.
“You’re right,” he said, a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “It’s none of your business.”
The coldness of his words hit you harder than you expected. You felt a lump in your throat, but you refused to show him how much it had affected you.
“Exactly,” you said firmly, giving him one last look before turning and walking away from him, back towards the beach.
As you walked away, you could feel his gaze on your back. But you didn’t look back. Because even though a part of you wanted him to follow you, to say something, anything to show that he cared, you knew he wouldn’t.
After that day at the beach, something changed inside you. It was like you had finally crossed a line that had no way back. You could no longer pretend that what JJ did didn’t affect you, that his indifference didn’t hurt you. So you decided to stop trying.
You would ignore him.
Every time he came close, you would walk away. Whenever he made a group comment, you just looked away. And if he ever tried to start a conversation with you, your answers were short, curt, just enough for him to understand that you didn’t want anything from him.
But it was a lie.
You didn’t hate him. You couldn’t. Not when you still felt that flutter in your stomach every time you saw him smile, or when his laugh, the one that seemed to fill all the space around him, reached your ears. But you wanted him to think you hated him. You wanted him to feel, at least a little, the rejection you had felt.
The first time you deliberately ignored him was at a meeting. You were sitting on the couch, surrounded by friends, when JJ walked in, as always, with an energy that seemed to light up the room.
“Hey,” he greeted, with that easy smile that used to make you melt.
“Hey,” everyone answered, except you.
You didn’t even look up. You just kept looking at your phone, as if he wasn’t there.
He noticed. You knew because he paused for a second, like he was waiting for you to say something. But when you didn’t, he moved toward the group, his smile barely faltering.
Later, he tried to approach you again. You were in the kitchen, pouring yourself a drink, when you felt him behind you.
“Are you hiding from me?” he asked in a light, almost mocking tone.
“I don’t have to hide from anyone, JJ,” you replied without looking at him, your voice so cold it almost surprised you.
He leaned against the door frame, crossing his arms over his chest as he watched you. It was his classic move, the carefree guy one, but you weren’t willing to fall for it anymore.
“Why aren’t you talking to me?” he finally asked, his tone more serious.
“I have nothing to tell you,” you replied, focusing back on your drink.
“Nothing?” he insisted, taking a step closer. Not even to tell me why you're acting like I did something terrible to you?
You turned to face him, your eyes meeting his. It was hard to stand your ground when he was so close, when you could feel his presence enveloping you.
“I’m not acting. I just have no interest in talking to you. That’s all.”
“Are you sure?” JJ asked, a spark of defiance in his eyes. “Because it seems more like you’re avoiding me.”
You shot him a look loaded with intent.
“JJ, it’s not all about you. You’re not as important as you think.”
The lie came out more bitter than you expected. Because, actually, it was. He’d always been important to you, but you refused to admit it.
JJ fell silent, as if he were evaluating your words. Finally, he let out a low laugh, the laugh that used to enchant you but now only seemed to infuriate you.
“Okay,” he said, holding up his hands in surrender. “If that’s what you want, I’ll leave you alone.”
“Perfect,” you replied, turning your back on him and walking out of the kitchen before he could say anything else.
But it wasn’t as easy as you thought. Ignoring him took more effort than you anticipated. Because JJ wasn’t the type to accept being ignored easily. He was still looking for excuses to get close to you, to invade your space with his unmistakable presence.
There was one afternoon at the beach when you were with Sarah and Kie, laughing and enjoying the sun, when he appeared with his surfboard under his arm. He stopped near where you were standing, as if he was looking for something… or someone.
“You coming to the water?” he asked, addressing the group, but with his eyes on you.
“No. We’re fine here,” Kie replied before you could speak.
But JJ didn’t move. He just stood there, staring at you as if he was waiting for a specific answer. One that never came.
Finally, he turned around and walked towards the water, but not before giving you one last look, as if he was trying to figure out the wall you had put up between you.
The tension between you had grown like a storm about to break loose. Ignoring him had been your strategy, and JJ had played his part at first. But like everything involving him, it couldn’t last long. You were both too impulsive, too passionate to keep pretending you didn’t care.
The opportunity for it all to explode came at one of the parties that always seemed to bring everyone together. With loud music, flashing lights, and the beach in the background. The air was charged with energy, but you were tense from the moment you arrived. You knew JJ would be there, and even though you had spent days perfecting the skill of ignoring him, something told you that tonight would be different.
You leaned against a wall near the kitchen, holding a glass in your hand, watching the crowd dance and laugh. Sarah and Kie were nearby, talking to some guys, but you weren’t in the mood to socialize. Your gaze, as always, sought him out. And you found him.
JJ was there, in the center of the room, laughing with his friends and… with Emma. She was beside him, too close, laughing at something he had said. It was a scene you had seen repeated too many times in the past few weeks, and it hurt more and more each time.
You tried to ignore it, as you had been doing, but that night it was harder. Something inside you was on the verge of breaking.
“Are you okay?” Kie asked, coming closer.
“Yeah, sure,” you lied, giving her a forced smile.
She looked at you curiously, but didn’t insist. She didn’t want to talk about JJ. She didn’t want to think about him… but it was impossible not to.
A couple of hours later, the party was still at its peak. You had decided to go out to the backyard to get some fresh air. The cool breeze was a relief against the heat you felt inside. You were standing, staring at the waves in the distance, when you heard him.
“Are you going to keep avoiding me all night?”
JJ’s voice.
You didn’t need to turn around to know he was behind you. You could feel his presence, so familiar and so frustrating. You pressed your lips together and took a deep breath before slowly turning around.
“I didn’t know I had to talk to you, JJ,” you replied coldly, crossing your arms over your chest.
He looked at you, his blue eyes shining with that mix of confusion and determination that always managed to disarm you. But this time you refused to fall.
“Really?” he asked, taking a step closer. “Are you going to keep doing this? Because I’m tired. I’m tired of you ignoring me, of you acting like I don’t exist.”
You stared at him, your heart pounding. You had expected that confrontation, but now that it was here, you didn’t know if you were ready to face it.
“And what did you expect me to do, JJ?” you asked, your voice rising slightly. “Keep pretending everything was okay? Because it’s not.”
He frowned, crossing his arms.
“Pretending? What are you talking about? Everything was fine until you started acting like you hated me.”
The word “hate” made you shudder. It wasn’t hate, it never had been, but you wanted him to believe it.
“I don’t hate you, JJ,” you said, voice softer this time, but still laden with emotion. “What bothers me is that… you just don’t realize it.”
“Realize what?” he asked, genuinely interested now, his tone more serious.
That was the moment. You could feel it in the air, like everything around you had stopped, waiting for your answer.
“About how I feel about you.” The words came out before you could stop them, and once they were said, there was no going back. “I’ve had feelings for you for a long time, JJ. And every time you ignore me, every time I see you with Emma or any other girl… it hurts.” It hurts more than I can bear.
JJ stared at you, as if he was processing every word. For a moment, he didn’t say anything, and that silence was worse than any answer.
“I didn’t know…” he finally murmured, his voice seeming softer, more vulnerable.
“How could you know?” you said, a bitter laugh escaping your lips. “You never looked at me like that. I was always John B’s sister, or just another friend. I was never enough for you, was I?”
He shook his head, taking a step closer. He was in front of you now, so close you could feel his heat.
“Don’t say that. It’s not true.”
“No?” you asked, challenging him with your gaze. “Because that’s how you’ve made me feel.”
JJ raised his hand, hesitating for a moment before gently placing it on your cheek. The contact was electric, as always, but this time you weren’t about to let that confuse you.
“You are more than enough.” You always have been… but I’m the idiot who didn’t see it.” His voice was sincere, full of something you hadn’t heard before: regret.
“JJ…” You whispered his name, your eyes searching for his, but this time there were no barriers. Everything was there, exposed.
And for the first time, there were no more games, no more lies. Just the two of you, face to face, with the truth finally spoken.
JJ looked at you with an intensity you had rarely seen in him. His blue eyes were fixed on yours, and for an instant, everything around you disappeared. It was just the two of you, with the truth floating in the air, no masks, no games.
“I’m sorry,” he finally said, his voice low, but full of emotion. “I never wanted to make you feel that way.”
Despite the emotions bubbling in your chest, a part of you still resisted. You had spent so much time building that wall between you that letting it fall suddenly made you feel vulnerable, exposed.
“JJ…” you started, but he didn’t let you continue.
“Listen to me.” His hand was still on your cheek, and his thumb traced a light circle on your skin, sending a shiver through your body. “I don’t know when I started feeling this… the way I feel about you. But it’s there. I know it now, and I don’t want to ignore it anymore. I don’t want to lose you anymore.”
Your heart skipped a beat. You had dreamed of hearing something like this so many times that it seemed unreal now.
“What about Emma?” you asked, your voice still heavy with caution. “You seem pretty interested in her lately.”
JJ frowned slightly, as if the mere mention of Emma was irrelevant at the moment.
“Emma doesn’t mean anything.” His answer was firm, sincere.
His words made a wave of heat run through you. For a moment, you wanted to believe him, but there was still a part of you that wanted to hold on to the resentment, to the distance you had kept. It was easier than giving yourself over completely.
JJ noticed your hesitation, and with a mischievous smile that you knew well, he added:
“You know, I like it when you ignore me… but I prefer it when you talk to me.”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little, shaking your head. His ability to disarm you with a simple sentence was still intact.
“Don’t get used to this, JJ.” Your eyes met his, a spark of defiance flashing in them. “I may go back to hating you. It was more fun.”
He laughed, genuine and carefree, as if your words were exactly what he needed to hear.
“I doubt it.” He leaned in slightly, getting so close that his breath brushed your lips. “But if you do… I promise I’ll find a way to make you like me again.”
The world seemed to stop for a second. The air between you was thick with tension, but this time it wasn’t the same tension you’d been carrying around for weeks. This time it was different. It was something new, something real.
And when JJ finally closed the distance, brushing your lips against his in a slow kiss filled with everything that had been left unsaid, you knew that no matter how hard you tried to resist, there was no turning back. You were lost in him, as always, but this time he was lost in you too.

I have been waiting for this! This has been stuck in my head since you mentioned how there's too many werewolf x bunny fics.
Imagine there's a village of prey hybrids. All the villagers that live there are some kind of prey animal.
The village is very peaceful, but is the target of a tribe of predator hybrids that dwell in the deepest part of the forest.
Every year, these predator hybrids would attack the prey village and would kidnap any villager unlucky enough to be caught.
These attacks typically happen around mid to late spring, from dusk to well into the night.
The prey villagers always hide around this time, but at least one to three people end up being taken.
Last year was one of the reader's friends. A sweet little sheep that was said to be taken by a large male black wolf. Poor girl was likely eaten by that horrible beast! (In a way she was eaten~)
This year, it is reader's turn.
Reader is a deer hybrid that got caught while out gathering food in the forest. Only to be jumped by a strong and handsome male mountain lion hybrid and taken back to his tribe.
There reader finds her friend as well as other people from her village, all well and alive and with large clearly pregnant bellies as well as a few children.
Turns out the predator tribe has been taking people from your village as their mates. Even treating their prey mates with the utmost care.
Something the reader will understand fully once she's been bred with her first litter of cubs.
your parents had always warned you to be careful when you left the safety of the village, especially during spring when nearby predators would go into heat and kill little deer girls like you to feed to keep up their strength. You were so careful, the fastest in the herd, the best at running away, no predator could ever catch you....other people weren't so lucky. Every year a few people would go missing, trail too close to the border, stay out foraging after sunset, and disappear.
Most of the time, you don't know the prey who gets taken, but sometimes you do, like when your best friend got dragged off by a horrifying wolf. You grieved the loss of your friend and redoubled your commitment to safety... but you got cocky. you were the fastest in your age group, no one could catch you, especially not some heavy, slow predator.
It's a warm spring evening, the breeze gentle and sweet, smelling like honeysuckle and green grass. the sunsets casting the valley in golden light, your basket is full of fat wild blackberries. how could anything go wrong on a day like this? A twig snaps to your right, and you turn and freeze, looking carefully at the tree line. you don't see anything... but your heart is still racing, by the time you spot the hungry green eyes peering up at you it's already too late. you take off running, but for once, you aren't fast enough.
The mountain lion pounces and lifts you off of your feet, throwing you easily over his broad shoulders, you freeze, your heart beating faster and faster, you need to think, he hasn't killed and eaten you yet- maybe you could escape, you just need to keep your head.
It's a much shorter journey to the preditor village than you would have thought, you'd never traveled far from home so you had no idea that they were so close this whole time. What's even more surprising is the amount of prey animals, wandering around town and looking happy. A rabbit boy with big floppy ears hanging off the arm of a buff-looking wolf, a deer hybrid like yourself flirting with two different lions, and a sheep- a sheep that you recognize. Your eyes go wide as it clicks into place. the people being taken weren't being killed at all.
The mountain lion puts you down and looks at you closely, evaluating you. "I wasn't too rough was I? You're not hurt?" he asks. you shake your head slowly
"n-no. I'm not hurt just- scared," you admit shyly. He nuzzles you comfortingly,
"awe, don't worry my mate, I'll keep you safe... I won't let anything happen to you, no one else will touch you while you're with me," he purrs and you shift, embarrassed to tell him that it was him you were afraid of. although you had to admit if this big scary mountain lion is guarding you, and claiming you as their mate, you do feel a little safer.

୨・┈﹕✦﹕ Kinktober Day 12/13﹕✦﹕┈・୧
keigo takami x f!reader -> nipple play, thigh riding
-> art credit goes to the wonderful @/kadeart
-> event masterlist
being the number two hero’s assistant at work had it’s own perks. you had a lavish salary, you had a lot of work so you were busy in the best of ways, you had hawks — the bestest perk ever. you got to be near him, near enough so you could smell his wonderful cologne whenever he talked to you, near enough to see his beautiful crimson wings and how they had a life of their own. expressing hawks’ moods whenever. sometimes they’d be extra perky, sometimes faltered up when he’s bored/annoyed. sometimes flared up when he’s a little moody.
you also know what he likes/dislikes by your heart. his favorite coffee, his favorite restaurant place he likes to takeout from. and his antics and his charm whenever he wants something.
it started a few months ago with a drunken one night stand which has now made you hawks’ most favorite toy and loved toy ever. you don’t want to label it as a relationship, part of you dreads he would run away if you got a little too clingy. part of you could almost see hawks wanting you to be his baby-mama with the way sometimes his pupils slit and his gaze darkens in the most carnal, predatory & animalistic of ways.
whether he would just shamelessly look down your ass when you wear a pencil skirt, bend you over his table and tease you with his semi protuding between your ass cheeks and call you cute for whimpering for him. or whether it’s one of his sick games. oh yeah— hawks loves to play with his prey, you.
today’s game was boredom. keigo was bored and sick of the paperwork he had, being the fastest hero sure had some disadvantages too. slumping dramatically over his desk, his brain smirked at what was next. he called you to his cabin, feathers quickly locking and shutting the roor while he yanked you to straddle his thigh, skirt hiked up and shirt’s buttons loosened. “fuck- hawks- what are you?” you gasped softly while his hands massaged your mounds with a hum.
“ssh~ is it professional to speak to your boss like that?” he smirked, leaning in and biting your sensitive earlobe. your breasts were pulled out of your bra cups, while you could feel your cheeks darken at the embarrassment and flustering situation keigo has put you in. you gasped, your pelvis on fire with the way he knows how to touch your body in the best ways.
“god it’s tiring to read so much.” keigo sighs, pinching and squeezing your nipples while you feel the pressure on your clit when he hikes his knee up. you gasped out, whimpering & mewling at the tug on your hardened nipples. “please- shit oh my god.”
hawks smirked, and you could feel his cockiness when he whispered. “it’s so lewd how you’re not listening—“ he mumbled, “don’t make me punish you now.” he warned once, pinching your nipple harshly so the pain makes you comply.
“hmm, so, where was i? yeah.” he grinned, still toying with your nipple and “grind on my thigh.” he commanded, and it was as if you had no choice but to comply. cheeks flushed as you moved your pelvis against him while he didn’t leave your nipples alone. “you will read these paperwork reports, all the ones which are left, and until we’re done… you don’t cum.”
a rebellious whine escaped from your parted lips, brows furrowed as you continued, and even though hawks had been relentless in toying with your pebbled nub, he means it. “come on; it should be rewarding in some ways.. shouldn’t it babybird?”
“go on… read.” hawks’ voice was a threatening order. while you whimpered, trying so hard to focus on the piece of paper in front of you.
“the- the smuggling gan- gang res- responsible for the smuggling of antiques was, hnng- recently caught by the wing hero.” you pathetically finished the sentence, while hawks could feel himself losing his mind over the way his cock threatened to come out from the tent in his pants.
“aw good girl.” hawks smirked, “continue… go on.” he continued, kissing the sweet spot in your neck & suckling onto your skin, breaking it into a hickey.
eventually, after long, cumbersome 44 minutes of you sniffling, whimpering, and begging hawks to let you cum, hawks melted. “awh, she’s crying now?” he cooed, kissing your cheek.
“go on babybird, cum for me.” he smiled, and you tipped off the edge, staining your pants and also his thigh while your nipples were sore from the continuous playing hawks never got tired of.
your mouth parted in a silent scream when you whimpered and tipped off the edge, nerve wracking orgasm tearing through you. “that’s it, sweet girl.” hawks cooed, kissing your cheek and eventually eating your sniffles in a silent, passionate kiss.
he did the courtsey of dressing you up, primming you up & kissing your chin. “that’s it girl, that’s it. you did so well for me. you know that? hmm?” his behavior had changed completely, peppering your face with soft and tender kisses all over. “gonna need you to go to dinner with me, love bird.” he cooed, while you hummed in a nod.
“sure, hawks.” you spoke out, wiping your tears and reduced to a mess in subspace.
“it’s keigo, sweetness.”

— five golden rings
james potter x reader ★ 1.4k words
twelve days of nico-mas masterlist
It was a snowy evening at the Potter household, and the flickering fire in the hearth cast a warm glow across the cozy yet chaotic living room. The group of friends had gathered around a large wooden table, piles of snacks and drinks scattered about, ready for their annual holiday game night. Laughter echoed in the space as everyone settled into their seats, teasing one another about who would be crowned the ultimate winner.
James Potter’s house was big, a sprawling manor on the outskirts of Godric’s Hollow, but tonight, it felt small, filled with the warmth of friendship and the buzz of excitement. His parents were away for the holidays, so the house was all theirs.
James stood next to the table, holding a stack of cards, trying his best not to look nervous. His heart raced, and he stole a glance at you, seated next to Lily on the far side of the table. You were laughing at something Sirius had just said, your eyes sparkling in the firelight. James swallowed hard, trying not to let his cheeks turn red. The Marauders all knew about his feelings for you—hell, they’d been teasing him about it for months—but he hadn’t managed to muster the courage to actually talk to you about it.
Lily caught his glance and raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips. She knew, of course, but she wasn’t about to let him off easy. Marlene, seated next to her, leaned over to whisper something in her ear, and the two girls exchanged an amused look. James couldn’t help but feel the heat of their eyes on him, but he quickly tried to distract himself with the cards in his hand.
“Right then,” Sirius said, clapping his hands together, “let’s get this party started, yeah? We’ll start with a round of Exploding Snap and see who has the fastest reflexes.”
James glanced over at you again. You were fiddling with your hair, a quiet, content smile on your face as you chatted with Peter about the dish you'd brought for dinner. He wanted to make you smile more. He’d been daydreaming about ways to make you laugh, but every time he tried to speak to you, his mouth went dry.
“James!” Sirius called, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Are you going to play, or should I just call dibs on the first round?”
“Right, right!” James replied, shaking his head. “I’m in. Let’s go.”
The game began, and almost immediately, it was clear that Marlene and Lily were the most competitive of the group, their eyes locked in intense concentration as they faced off against each other. James, however, couldn’t help but keep sneaking glances at you, trying to act casual as he shuffled the deck of cards.
As the game progressed, James found himself in an unusual position—shifting the cards in his hand, acting as though he was focused on the game, but really, he was just trying to help you. If a card came too close to your hand, he’d nudge it toward you just a bit, without anyone noticing. If the pile of exploding cards in front of you looked like it might get out of hand, James was the first to warn you.
“You’re doing great,” he said quietly, under his breath, as the game reached a fever pitch. “Just don’t touch the card on the left, trust me.”
“I knew I could count on you, Potter,” you said, your tone teasing, but friendly.
James felt his cheeks warm, and he looked away quickly, feigning concentration on his cards. He was so caught up in his own internal battle—should he be so obvious? Did it matter if everyone knew he liked you?—that he almost missed the card that jumped out of the pile and exploded in front of him.
“Merlin’s beard!” he yelped, ducking as the card went off with a loud bang, sending sparks into the air.
The room erupted with laughter. Even Peter couldn’t hold back his giggles as he reached out to pat him on the shoulder. “Nice one, Prongs,” he teased. “I guess that means you’re out for the round.”
James groaned, rubbing his ear, and shot you an apologetic glance. “I swear, I didn’t mean for that to happen.”
You just laughed, shaking your head. “It’s all good, James. I think you’ve helped me enough tonight anyway.”
He smiled back at you, his stomach doing flips at the sound of your laughter. As the rounds continued, James found himself increasingly wrapped up in small gestures to help you win, each one carefully subtle—leaning over to fix your cards, tossing you a sweet treat from the kitchen when he thought no one was paying attention, even dropping a little hint about strategy when the other weren’t paying attention. He wasn’t being obvious—at least, he hoped he wasn’t—but he couldn’t help himself.
Finally, after a few more rounds, it came down to the fifth and final game with Marlene, Sirius, Remus, and you left. There would be a prize of 50 galleons for the winner. The group had decided to take a quick break before beginning the finale. James stayed by your side, giving you you an encouraging smile.
“Don’t worry, you’ve got this,” he said quietly, leaning in toward you again.
You shot him a soft grin, one that made his heart race. “Thanks, James,” you said, “I’m going to need all the help I can get.”
James’s mind raced. He wanted to tell you how he felt. Wanted to tell you that the little things he’d been doing all night—helping you with the game, finding excuses to sit near you, passing you bits of food—were all because he couldn’t help it. He liked you. More than he had ever liked anyone. More than he had ever been brave enough to admit.
He looked at Remus out of the corner of his eye, who gave him an encouraging nod. He knew his taller friend was right. If he didn’t do this now, he might regret it forever.
"James?" You glanced up at him, sensing the change in the air. "You okay?"
"Yeah," James managed to say, though his voice came out softer than he intended. "I, uh... actually, I wanted to tell you something. You know, if you’ve got a second."
You looked at him with a warm smile, clearly intrigued.
"You’ve got my full attention, Potter."
James cleared his throat, suddenly nervous. “It’s just… well, I’ve been thinking for a while, and it’s now or never, isn’t it?” He glanced down at the table for a moment, then back up at you, locking eyes with the person who had unknowingly been occupying his thoughts for months. “I like you. A lot. I know I’m not the most... smooth with these things, but I just thought you should know.”
There was a beat of silence. Then, to his surprise, you smiled—the kind of smile that made his heart feel like it was about to jump out of his chest.
“I’m glad you said something, James,” you said, your voice gentle but sure. “Because I like you too. And you’ve been making it pretty obvious all night.”
James blinked, stunned, as the reality of your words sank in. "Wait, really?"
"Really," you confirmed with a soft laugh. "All those little gestures, the way you always look out for me. I wasn’t exactly blind to it, you know."
It felt like the room had faded away, and there was nothing left but the two of you. The warmth from the fire, the laughter of friends, the soft crackling of the hearth—it was all background noise to the quiet, exhilarating moment shared between you and James.
“So, what now?” he asked, a hesitant smile tugging at his lips.
You reached out, placing your hand gently over his. “How about we start by winning this game together?”
James chuckled, feeling lighter than he had in ages. “I think that sounds like a perfect plan.”
Sirius, who had been pretending to mind his own business but clearly listening in, smirked and raised his hands in mock defeat. “Well, I see how it is. James gets the girl, and I’m left here losing fifty galleons. Typical.”
The group laughed together, the atmosphere lighter than ever. But James couldn’t stop smiling—he had finally said what had been on his heart, and it felt like everything had fallen into place.

the forest
salma paralluelo x orienteer!reader (request)
summary: your girlfriend tries to understand the sport you participate in
salma is a bit confused when you first invite her to watch one of your orienteering competitions live.
she’s seen a few races on tv, but never in person, and you can tell by the way she fidgets with her hands that she’s nervous, even if she won’t admit it.
“are you sure you are not just going to get lost in the woods?” she jokes when you’re explaining how it works, but there’s a hint of genuine concern in her voice.
“i will be fine,” you laugh, kissing her before heading to the starting area.
“i’ll see you after i win, okay?”
she watches you run off with the rest of the competitors, map and compass in hand, disappearing into the forest within seconds. and for the first time, salma realizes she has no idea what’s actually happening.
she looks around at the other spectators, all of them more prepared than her with binoculars, and GPS trackers to follow the competitors’ progress.
“what am i even supposed to be looking at?” she mumbles to herself, squinting at the forest.
in her mind, she wished that she brought esmee or alexia with her– just for some company.
“you’re here for y/n, right?”
salma turns to see a girl standing next to her, probably in her late teens, sporting a y/n fan t-shirt. her eyes are wide and excited, and salma smiles awkwardly, hoping this girl can help.
“yeah… how’d you know?”
“well, you looked super confused. that’s usually how people are when they come to watch y/n for the first time,” the girl says, a laugh bubbling up.
“i’m natalie, by the way. big fan of hers.”
salma’s relieved that someone knows what’s going on.
“i’m salma. nice to meet you. so, um, can you explain what i’m supposed to be watching?”
natalie grins. “okay, so it’s orienteering, right? everyone gets a map with specific points they need to reach in a set order. those points are marked by little orange and white flags hidden in the forest. the goal is to navigate to each flag as fast as possible using just the map and a compass. no GPS or shortcuts. once they find the flag, there’s a sensor that registers their time.”
salma raises her eyebrows. “so, they’re just… running around trying to find these flags?”
“pretty much,” natalie says, shrugging.
“but it’s way more technical than it looks. like, you have to be good at reading the map while running, keeping track of where you are, and planning the best routes to each point. that’s what makes y/n so good—she’s super fast and she barely ever makes mistakes with her navigation.”
“that sounds intense.” salma glances toward the dense trees where you disappeared, her respect for you growing with every word natalie says.
salma and you met outside of both of your sports. in fact, it was a mutual friend who set you both up at a party.
when she found out that you did a sport too, she was happy to get familiar with it. even if it sounded confusing.
“yeah, it’s mental,” natalie agrees, nodding. “and y/n’s one of the best. she’s won a ton of races.”
salma smiles softly, feeling proud. “i know. i’ve watched her a few times on tv, but this is my first time seeing it live.”
“oh, really? well, you’re in for a treat. she’s amazing to watch in person. plus, if she’s in the best mood, she’ll be back here at the finish in no time.”
salma watches as competitors start emerging from the forest, some sprinting toward the finish line, others clearly frustrated, taking longer routes back.
every now and then, a beep goes off as they punch in at the last control point near the finish.
natalie’s eyes light up suddenly. “look! there she is!”
salma’s heart skips a beat as she spots you darting out from between the trees, sweat running down your face but a determined expression set in your features.
you’re one of the fastest runners out there, navigating the final stretch like it’s second nature.
“she’s flying,” salma mutters in awe, watching as you punch your last point and sprint toward the finish line.
within seconds, you cross it, panting and grinning widely.
natalie claps excitedly. “she did it! i think she might’ve won!”
salma’s too busy watching you catch your breath to hear the announcer confirm it, but when you glance her way, she waves excitedly, a proud smile taking over her face.
you give her a tired thumbs-up before turning to cool down with your teammates.
“wow,” salma breathes, still trying to process the speed and skill you just showed. “that was insane.”
natalie grins at her.
“told you she’s amazing.”
salma chuckles.
“you really know a lot about this sport.”
“yeah, been following orienteering since i was a kid. and y/n’s one of my favorites.”
natalie shuffles her feet, a little shy all of a sudden.
“she’s, uh, actually the reason i started orienteering.”
“really?” salma’s eyes soften, touched by the girl’s enthusiasm. “you want to meet her?”
natalie’s jaw drops. “wait, are you serious?”
“of course! it’s the least i can do after you explained everything to me,” salma says, already walking toward you.
natalie hesitates for a moment, then quickly follows.
you’re still cooling off when you see salma and a nervous-looking girl approaching. you smile, wiping your face with a towel.
“hey, you,” salma greets you, pulling you into a quick hug. “you were amazing out there.”
“thanks,” you mumble, catching your breath. your eyes shift to natalie, who’s staring at you in awe.
“who’s your friend?”
“this is natalie. she’s a huge fan of yours and explained the whole race to me. i thought i’d bring her over to meet you.” salma grins, gesturing to natalie.
natalie’s cheeks flush red as she stammers, “i-it’s such an honor to meet you, y/n. i’ve been following your career for years. you’re… you’re incredible.”
“thank you, natalie. that means a lot. and thanks for helping salma out—she probably would’ve been totally lost without you.” you chuckle softly, reaching out to pull the girl into a hug.
“definitely,” salma adds, laughing.
“i was ready to run into the forest myself and find out what was going on.”
natalie laughs too, the tension easing as she relaxes around you.
“seriously, though, you were amazing today. i think you won.”
“we’ll find out soon enough, but i’m glad you got to see it live. there’s something special about being here, right?” you nod, smiling at her enthusiasm.
“definitely,” natalie agrees, her smile wide. “and i’ll be cheering for you at every race i can.”
“same here. even if i don’t fully get it yet, i’ll always be here when i don’t have my own games.” salma wraps an arm around your waist, squeezing gently.
you laugh softly, looking between salma and natalie.
“you two are the best.”
to whoever requested, I hope you liked this!! I tried my best to do some research before writing :D

As soon as you said a/b/o i was sold! And no omega!reader, you stole my heart! Let me know if this is too specific or not specific enough but could we know what would be the best way to court the omegas of team green? How would they want to go about it? What gifts would make them fold the fastest? Would they try to speed up the process against decorum if they got too desperate?
Ooo great question anon!! Since we’ve never discussed a/b/o before, I think I’m gonna write some general head cannons for courting omega!Aegon and also omega!Aemond and then we can develop from there?
While this answer isn’t really explicit, I’m gonna put it under a cut anyway just because I know a/b/o isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. All a/b/o will be tagged ‘a/b/o hotd’ so you can easily filter it out :))
COURTING OMEGA!AEGON HEADCANNONS:
- so obviously Allicent would have a whole line of alphas available and she’d definitely have one in particular that she wants for Aegon. Does Aegon listen to this? No absolutely not.
- I think the trick with Aegon is to find the middle ground between letting him be independent and also caring for him? Cause Aegon would HATE to be controlled but also he will giggle like a school girl and kick his feet if you open the door for him or pour his wine for him.
- while he does certainly like gifts, I actually think he likes small personalised gifts far better than anything expensive? He is quite literally the king he can afford whatever he wants.
- he could not care less about the giant gold necklace the Lannister alpha presented him with, but then you literally just pick a flower from the gardens that he told you was his favourite and when you give that to him he blushes and thanks you and hisses at the poor servant who tries to take it and put it in a vase.
- it should come as a surprise to absolutely no one that he’s not exactly one for traditions and decorum, and so if he can see that you accept that then he’s so happy.
- he’s also VERY possessive. From the moment he thinks he might like you, he hates the scent of anyone else on you. He’s well aware that scenting is looked down upon before mating but Aegon found not give less of a fuck because there’s another omega glancing at you and he will not have that!!!!
- it’s also very important to just speak to him normally? He hates when people speak to him formally and put on this facade. He needs to feel at ease and supported by his alpha.
- also he will indeed get very desperate as time goes on, especially because allicent digs her heels in a little about his choice
- there’s a solid three weeks where he’s just losing his mind cause he knows who is alpha is. He can’t stand having to entertain all these other suitors, he doesn’t want them!!!!
COURTING OMEGA!AEMOND HEADCANNONS:
- most people get courting Aemond terribly wrong, because they see his strong and skilled he is and how he’s so very very intimidating and so alphas tend to think he wants them to treat him like another alpha? And make no mistake, Aemond has worked very hard to get rid of the omega stereotypes and he certainly wouldn’t want all the alphas in the keep to treat him like an omega.
- but…. He just melts when you treat him like an actual omega? The others bring him swords and books and armour, all things he can get himself very easily and none of it impresses him. You bring him flowers and the softest blanket you can find for his best and he just absolutely melts because that omega side of himself is so so happy??
- he wants to feel safe and loved and cherished and yes he knows he’s not acting like someone who wants that but deep down he wants an alpha to treat him like a proper omega so badly.
- So when you introduce yourself and ask if you can stand closer and ask before you touch him and offer him nesting materials and pretty jewellery and just whooing him like he's any other omega
-- this is because when you treat him like that, it means you see him as an omega deserving of that? All the other alphas trying to get his are rude and entitled about it, acting like because he fights and rides a dragon and does things not stereotypical of an omega then they can just demand his hand and he's supposed to be thankful that anyone is interested in an omega like him
-- but you see all those traits and just thinks it adds to how incredible he is? So when he meets you and you ask if you can kiss his hand and go for a walk with him through the gardens? He's sold.
-- During your walk, you have very real genuine conversations and you listen to him and you give him the credit he deserves. You know he's very knowledgeable and you enjoy learning from him. The others expect him to be quiet.
-- I actually think out of Aemond and Aegon, it would be Aemond who gets the most desperate and is the most likely to beg their alpha for more before anything is official. I know this sounds counterintuitive but I'll explain: Aemond never actually thought he would find a good alpha.
-- Aemond was convinced he'd either be alone all his life or he'd have to settle for some pompous alpha who uses him and who he'd spend most of his days avoiding. So when suddenly there's an alpha who treats him well and listens to him and who makes him feel so wanted and safe? It's so so so hard to wait.

Thinking about....
Street racer! Suguru, who you go from enemies to lovers with in the most unique way.
You met when you were around 17 years old.
Originally you two didn't click.
Yes, he's gorgeous, and charismatic, but also arrogant and seems to not value women, or at least, that's what you think.
You don't race. You're only at the car meets and alike because your best friend, Ryomen Sukuna, races. (Besides- You don't have a driver's license.)
Originally, Suguru never looked at you twice.
Yes, he knew who you were, and sure, you were at least kinda good looking.
But not pretty by his standard.
You don't wear short skirts, nor show off a lot of skin. Nah, you wear whatever you want, and it's always a question whenever you're in the mood to have been wearing make up that night.
You're the simple kind of girl who doesn't catch his eye. (Enough girls did though, he was rarely single.)
Your best friend, however, is a whole different story.
Ryomen Sukuna was quick, amazingly so. Perhaps even the fastest on track.
Suguru's best friend Satoru is the only one who can keep up.
It somehow weaves you into their friend group (Satoru, Suguru, Shoko, and now Sukuna and you.)
And at first, Suguru doesn't care.
Until you show you do.
There's a simple code the streetracers you surround yourself with keep.
'Don't hit a pedestrian. '
Simple enough.
They choose to race, and they've sworn off of accidentally taking lives because they love to be reckless.
Suguru is forced to honor that code one fateful night, years later (you're now 21), when a drunk teenager stumbles across the road, forcing him to hit a tree.
The damage was as expected.
The other kid he was racing had crashed too, his girlfriend injured in his passenger seat, guilt and panic overtaking his actions.
He doesn't notice Suguru, heavily injured in his own car.
You're the first to notice that he's late.
Suguru lost occasionally, sure, but the other kid hasn't arrived either, which was suspicious.
With a sigh, you had turned to Satoru, who was chatting up a girl he was known for having the hots for (she still hasn't agreed to let him take her out), but he had simply waved you off.
Rolling your eyes, you turn to Sukuna instead calling him to check out their track, see if something happened.
He agrees. ( He'll take any excuse to drive anywhere, anytime.)
Of course, you come across the scene of the crash.
Sukuna is quick to call the cops, while you race over to Suguru with wide eyes.
He's stuck in the car, heavily injured.
He's barely able to keep his eyes open as he looks at you.
He's unable to speak for the moment.
But he thinks an angel had come to take him up to heaven when you tenderly cup his cheek and fuss over his injuries.
That night, you spend the night in jail, along with most of your friends, with Suguru in the hospital.
Your mom and older brother were not amused as they bailed you and Sukuna out of jail. (Your father found it hilarious.)
The next day, you visit Suguru.
He's touched, and surprised.
He only expected Satoru to visit, maybe Shoko, but definitely not you.
(Later, you'd find out that he had a girlfriend during this time, and that she was at the car meet during the crash- she had been chatting up other boys. Also, you'll learn that she broke up minutes before your first hospital visit.- She didn't want to care for him. )
Due to the extent of his injuries, he needs a lot of extra care. One of his legs broken, one of his arms healing from fire wounds because of when his engine caught fire while he was stuck.
And you're the only one there to do that.
Out of your own free will.
Satoru is busy.
He leads the same life as Suguru after all, so Suguru understands.
They were both sons of business men. Future ceo's of big companies.
Suguru's parents were disappointed, and turned a blind eye to him and his needs.
Instead, they hired someone to attend to him.
Which turned out to have been unnecessary.
You turn out to have a big heart.
Coincidentally, this happens during one of the school breaks (you're in college) and you care for him every moment while you're not at your side job or don't have anything important to attend.
You care for him at a level where you would sometimes stay in the guest room of the house. You care enough for his parents to notice you.
He starts to see you in a different light.
You're beautiful.
He never realized he'd find someone attractive by especially their personality.
But he also realizes you're too good for him.
He's done nothing but ignore you after all.
At most, he'd send you a cocky glance, yet here you are, tending to his every meet.
(Eventually, he'd ask Sukuna if you'd do that for just everyone. And your best friend would shrug. He didn't expect you to care either
In reality, you would. Because you count him as a friend. Even when you didn't expect Suguru originally to care for you the same way if the same thing happened- you're selfless like that.)
You two get to know each other better. He gets to know about your likes and dislikes, your favorite things to do and hobbies, and in return, you're surprised to find out he likes the traditional Japanese style he grew up in, though he also likes hip hop music.
It nearly makes him sad that you'll spend less time once he's healed and college classes have started again.
He's in college too, but in a different, high class school.
He finds himself reaching out to you more often.
You hang out more often too.
At the same time, Satoru and his crush advance too, and eventually after one of the car meets (one Sukuna isn't attending, you usually tag along with him, but you actually came with Suguru,) Suguru, Satoru, his crush and you tag along to a restaurant.
You decide to go in one car to cut parking costs.
An interesting detail is that Suguru never lets anyone besides Satoru sit beside him up front if multiple people are in his car.
It's always been like that.
He also drives one of those three door cars, where you gotta push the seat up in order to climb into the back.
But to your utter surprise, he stops you as you're about to climb in behind the passenger seat, telling Satoru, his best friend to sit in the back instead.
It makes your eyes widen, though Satoru doesn't mind, all too happy to get up close with his crush.
(Also, he knows Suguru likes you. He most definitely doesn't mind.)
You're the first girl to sit up front besides Suguru. None of his ex girlfriends ever sat beside him in the front seat. It had always been Satoru.
And now it's you.
Later on, he doesn't let you pay either.
Things between the two of you are going smoothly, and Suguru nearly has the guts to try and ask you out, when you suddenly have a boyfriend.
The two of you talk less. And it sucks. Suguru hates it.
Sukuna tells him that the dude you're dating is a douche too.
The Douche hates the platonic bond you share with Sukuna (it's a sibling like relationship.) And also dislikes Suguru.
Imagine Suguru's absolute pleasure when he meets the guy. (Along with Sukuna, Shoko and Satoru.)
He's using his own charismatic personality to his advantage, and the Douche is indeed a douche.
You agree to meet up in your favorite Japanese curry restaurant in the city. ( The one Suguru loves too.)
Sukuna is quick to pull you to his side, sliding you into the booth and sitting down beside you before Douche has a chance to sit down next to you.
Suguru is quick to join you at your other side, which leaves Satoru and Shoko to sit opposite along with Douche.
Douche adds fuel onto the fire by adding the spiciest dish the restaurant has, even challenging the cooks to make it spicier.
(Later on, you tell Suguru that Douche has a weak stomach, which Douche was well aware of, but ignored.)
Not only does Douche nearly cry because of the spiciness, but he also makes the dinner awkward by suffering cuz of the heat.
In fact, the mood is ruined to such a level, that everyone passes up dessert.
(The restaurant has the best mochi in town in multiple flavours- Suguru knows you love them.)
And the bill is split.
(Suguru is disgusted when your boyfriend doesn't pay for you, and pays for your part.
You're wife material, and deserve the very best and to be pampered.- In his most humble opinion.)
Later on, (barely five minutes later), Douche realizes he has to throw up, unable to handle the spicy food.
You're borderline embarrassed as Douche throws up in a garbage bin (thankfully out of sight) once you're on your way to the car garage.
Suguru feels borderline disgusted with Douche as he casually comes back after throwing up.
Douche reaches out to you, but it seems Sukuna and Suguru have the same thing in mind.
Suguru is quick to gently take you by the hand and pull you in his embrace, while Sukuna roughly grabs Douche by the hair and all but punches him in the face.
No one feels sorry except for you when they leave him in the city by himself.
Once again, you're seated up front in the passenger seat like the passenger princess you are while Satoru, Shoko and Sukuna are squeezed in the back.
It's quiet for a while, until Sukuna eventually tells you to just break up with him.
It kinda goes back and forth between Suguru, Sukuna, Shoko and you for a while. Because you don't want to, for whatever reason.
Suguru doesn't understand why you're willing to hang out with that douche and put yourself through his bullshit until everyone is out of the car and he finally asks you.
But then you get a little shifty and uncomfortable, admitting that Douche is your very first boyfriend.
For a moment Suguru is speechless, because you're a beautiful person inside and out, he never expected that at all.
'Because who would date me?' -Is your answer, one you give with a smile when he asks why.
Suguru's eyes widen.
Have you always had this low of a self vision of yourself?
He feels stupid for being blind of it. There have been instances where he's noticed your insecurities, but he never thought they all connected to that.
He's stupid too, because even though he knows and thinks it, he doesn't outright tell you to leave Douche and date him instead.
He knows that he would treat you so much better after all.
However, you do break up with Douche that very night.
Douche didn't like how he was punched by Sukuna, nor how Suguru so casually pulled you into his side.
In the end, he blames you for everything even when you've done nothing wrong, and forces you to choose between him and your friends.
Obviously, you choose your friends.
Suguru and you grow closer after that.
Very much closer.
You become a bit more extrovert.
You had always been introvert, sticking to Sukuna while not necessarily afraid to meddle.
Eventually you had also tagged along with Suguru everywhere, but it's different now.
Months pass with the two of you growing closer, and finally, one night, at Satoru's place, yet another party, (for what you don't know.), he finally speaks the words that have been on his mind all along.
You're both drunk, but not drunk enough to forget.
You're pressed closely next to each other on the couch, side to side.
Suguru's arm is wrapped around you, holding a beer.
An excuse to pull you closer whenever he takes a sip.
(The reason he's drunk in the first place.)
Finally, he confesses that he can treat you so much better than Douche did.
For a moment, you're confused. (Who's Douche again?)
But then you realize what he's trying to say and you fall quiet, surprised.
And Suguru full out confesses. He's loved you for two years. He hated to see how Douche treated you, when he knows you deserve better. Maybe you even deserve better than him, but he's selfish. He wants to keep you for himself.
Forever, if you'll have him.
By the end of the confession, you're speechless, surprised.
And then you leave without answering him.
Suguru feels regret and heartbroken when he wakes up the next morning in Satoru's guest bedroom. (You had gone home the previous night.)
Meanwhile you're pondering. You're confused over your own feelings. Because do you like Suguru? You've never explicitly thought about it.
Yes, you love spending time with him. Yes, you don't mind being alone with him whenever you go to places. Yes, you like when he laughs, especially when you're the one making him laugh. No, you don't like when other girls get too close to him or make him laugh the same way you do. You love when he pulls you close into his side, or when he rests his hand on your knee or thigh when you're in his passenger seat. - Oh shit, you're in deep.
You shouldn't be surprised. While you had been in that toxic relation with Douche, even Douche could see it. He had mentioned before that he didn't like Suguru because of how close you are, and the way you looked together.
Barely a day later, you text Suguru that you want to meet up, to talk about things.
Suguru's surprised by your text. He really thought he blew it with you.
Now, he feels a tiny bit of hope as you two talk, and he feels like the luckiest man in the world when you tell him you want to give the two of you a try.
You're not sure about loving him just yet, but yes, you do like him. Do find him attractive.
Suguru is okay with that. He's ready to love you, and he'll wait for whenever you're ready to love him too. In the meantime, you'll be fine, safe and happy with him.
He's sure of it.
Although his confession is messy, eventually he'll find out that confessing to you was one of the best things he's ever done, no matter how messy it was.

a lost bet!
pairing: frenemy!beomgyu x reader
genre: fluff, comedy
summary: you lose a bet to beomgyu and out of everything you'd think he'd ask of you -- money, to pour freezing water on yourself out in the snow, hell, you thought it'd be more likely for him to ask you to jump off a cliff and survive than telling you to take him out on a date.
word count: 2.2k
notes: cheesy stuff but if you read it till the end, a heart is always appreciated :') if you read it and liked it, please reblog ˃̵ᴗ˂̵
there are people who would be described as two peas in a pot, the half of the other, siblings from another mother -- the idea that they complete each other, that they work so well together that they must be of the same thread.
to describe your relationship with beomgyu, those metaphors would never even have came up in the light of day because you guys just don't work. you like what he likes and he likes what you like. you do what he does, and he does what you do. for heavensake, you've known each other since highschool and you still ended up in the same dream university, in the same dream careers, in the same fast food job! and that is exactly why you don't work. the arguments that fester from being just a little too similar got extreme back when you were teenagers, terribly extreme you couldn't even blame it on hormones.
girls who'd be interested in beomgyu every three weeks would come up to you at the randomest times to ask if there was anything going on between you two and the first couple girls, your friends would die of laughter because of how inaccurate the assumption was. "her and beomgyu? beomgyu with the long hair? him and y/n? the y/n that's standing next to us right now?"
it was safe to say that after a while, the entire engineering major knew you and beomgyu would never happen. and you were content with that.
that is until that day happened, the day you lost the bet.
you were feeling lots of things before he'd decide on a what you'd do - fear, fear was a big one.
"hey, go easy on me." you reluctantly said quietly.
"huh?" he put a hand behind his ear, "what'd you say?"
it was embarrassing enough that you couldn't complete the software in time when you're known in the major for being the fastest, but it was even worse to give beomgyu the satisfaction of you being scared. you already caught a smirk on his face, fucker.
"i said...go easy on me you prick."
"okay okay here, since you're begging, i'll give you a deal." he folded his arms, acting like he was thinking of this on the spot. "i'll go easy on you if you don't ask any questions about my dare." and that was when you knew that he had this planned out - you took the bait anyway, just of the small chance you might avoid jumping off a cliff.
"okay, i accept the deal, whats the dare?"
"take me, choi beomgyu..." he was elongating every vowel and you'd hate to admit it but every time he does it, as annoying as it is, it does manage to do its job and keeps you on your toes to want to know what he'd say next.
but the long pause that day was way more annoying than usual.
"just say it!", you yelled.
"on a date!" he yelled immediately in response. "jesus christ you're so impatient."
beomgyu saw you open your mouth to say something and he anticipated it so he quickly shut you up with a finger on your lips.
"no questions, remember?", you rolled your eyes and snatched his finger off your lip. "here are the rules. one, you're paying for everything-"
"broke ass." you cursed under your breath and he caught it.
"who's working three shifts again?" well, that got you quiet. "two, it has to be the best date i've ever been on. like spectacular, jaw dropping, 5 star restaurant. you know i'm a wanted, highly desirable man. and three, if you break the rules, you'll have to try again. but hey, i trust you'll get it on the first try. i'm going to go easy on you."
and that is how you find yourself on the 9th try of trying to woo beomgyu with a date and finally get the dare over with. i'm going to go easy on you? bullshit.
the first three times, it was aggravating to know that you failed and had to go on another date. the next four to eight times, you viewed it as another assignment to overcome - like a game? that period was ambitious (hello, you literally drove four hours for one of the dates once) so when even those failed, you entered your nine times to how many the fuck you know times. you've never went on this many dates with someone you weren't even in a relationship with.
and by now you'd figured that beomgyu was just freeloading off of you. that asshole. you would totally do something like that..
like it was the devil's calling, beomgyu came through the door of the desserted cafe that you part timed at.
"hey! welcome to bist-- beomgyu." you said his name grimly, staring at him walk over to your register.
"oh my god, i did not know you worked here! fancy seeing you partner!"
"beomgyu, you literally used to work with me-- you know what? no. i just took the last order. we're closing the store."
he looked at his wrist, like he was reading a watch but when he dropped his hand down, there was indeed, no real watch.
"it's seven on a thursday, you aren't fooling me."
you groan dramatically like a child, frustrated. "what do you want beomgyu? i can't afford to hear your voice one more time this week, i'm serious i think i need to get myself checked out before i'm driven to insanity." you mumbled as he looked up at the menu, his iris going left and right trying to decipher which one would be the cheapest, and not taste like total shit. "can i get a...hmm...this is a lot of options..."
"a triple shot soy decaf vanilla latte with whipped cream?", you filled in.
"no not--wait, hold on. that sounds really good."
"because it is good." you said rolling your eyes playfully, this time.
"is it cheap?"
"the cheapest." you said, cracking a smirk. it was times like these where you remember that you and beomgyu are still the friends part of the frenemy title you both chose to adopt.
a more genuine fond smile warmed up on beomgyu's face, because he had the same exact thought.
"well its not technically the cheapest--" he started.
"don't ruin the moment beomgyu." you said heading to the backroom.
"i'm just saying, you were being deceitful! also there was no moment!" you heard beomgyu call out. secretly, you let out a quick chuckle to that.
when you finally got him his order, you expected him to leave...but of course, you thought too highly of him. because there he was, elbows on the counter, sipping his coffee (milkshake) really..really loudly. it was like his sole purpose was to annoy the fuck out of you.
"do you want me to direct you to a table mr. choi?" you said in your fake nice voice sarcastically as your back was turned from him to wash the tools that you used.
"y/n i have a question."
"answer mines first."
"when is the next date--i mean, like, your next, um..attempt? try? what are we calling it?"
you exhale, you knew he was going to mention it.
"it's today. surprise!" you turned around with a terrifying toothy smile, doing jazz hands.
"you just decided this last minute didn't you?" you shook your head, still keeping up a smile. "also stop smiling like that oh my god."
and the smile was dropped. "okay, so what if i decided just now? you know, the cheapest dates are the best dates."
"literally nobody has ever said that." he said, taking another sip of his drink, shaking his head slowly disapprovingly.
"no, yeah you're right i don't know why i just did." you said, very much perplexed those words came out of your mouth -- you'll call it your first stage of insanity.
"look, i'm going to be completely honest, i don't think you'll ever top the paris hot balloon date with that cute foreign chick."
you scoffed, coming closer to the counter with your arms crossed. "um pfft, i thought we collectively, we as in the whole world by the way, agreed that you made that date up."
"you're the only one who thinks it didn't happen, i literally showed you pictures! and it's not that hard to believe, i am universally hot stuff." he shrugged, and you rolled your eyes. "wait hey, i think i still have the pictures, let me show you."
his eyes were narrowed, scrolling on his phone.
"okay okay, enough. also don't call yourself hot stuff again." you covered his phone screen and he looks up at you confused. "lets say it did happen.."
"it did happen!"
"...if you knew i wasn't going to top your extravagant paris date, why'd you even add the second rule?"
for the first time, beomgyu didn't have an immediate response. he was quiet, way too quiet.
"look, you can just tell me you were trying to freeload off of me." beomgyu looks taken back, his face scrunched up, so you add more to clarify, "i would be pissed but you don't have to be all secretive about it. i can get over it if you pay me four hundred dollars in cash--"
"let's say i was freeloading off you, which by the way, i should've thought of that--"
"correction, you were freeloading off of me."
beomgyu ignores you. "you know what, i just thought of something. there is one way you could top the hot balloon paris date."
your interest was piqued but you try not to show how your ears perked up, and clear your throat. "what is it?"
despite your attempt to seem disinterested, when beomgyu motions to bring your head closer so he can whisper something, you don't hesitate.
"i don't know, maybe it'll be too hard on you...like it takes a lot of courage--"
"just say it!" you yelled impatiently.
"say i liiike you beomgyu-ah~" he said with what you think is a pout, and top of that you'd bet a hundred bucks that he was fluttering his long lashes too.
you pull your head away. "beomgyu."
he shrugged. "i'm giving you a very easy task, take it or leave it."
you exhale, its true. it isn't that bad. "i'm not doing the aegyo though."
"thats the entire point! just don't do it at all then."
"oh, okay. bye, it wasn't pleasant seeing you beomgyu, as always." you waved him away and start untying your apron to leave your shift, but beomgyu was still there. because you've heard the third groan in a row.
you, however, didn't notice that he came to the back in the register area until you felt his hand touching your struggling ones that were trying to untie your apron for the past..three minutes now.
you dropped them to your sides, feeling a little awkward at the sudden proximity.
"were you actually going to close?" he asked as you felt beomgyu trying to untangle the knot.
"no that was a lie, i'm leaving because my shift ended."
"huh. you know i was about to apologize for bothering you. and i never apologize."
"who said you weren't bothering me anyway? in fact, you've been bothering me this whole month more than normal."
you looked back to beomgyu, "why'd you stop? can you try to untie it faster?"
"alright alright, jesus."
the rest of the time that he spent untying the knot, it was quiet. oddly.
"done. i have to go now though, homework and stuff." he said backing away.
you stopped him by holding his wrist back. "hey, are you mad? it's kind of weird, i've never seen you mad."
he looked back at you with a raised brow. you rolled your eyes, correcting yourself. "okay, well i've never seen you mad this month"
you let go of his wrist because hes fully turned to face you, with his arm crossed.
"maybe, maybe i wasn't mad because i didn't see hanging out with you to be the biggest nuisance in the world."
"well..you're mad now."
"say i like you."
"huh?"
"you don't have to do the aegyo, i'm exempting it because i am a very nice friend."
okay, so now you're lost. you don't know what's going on, at all. but hey at least you'll get a perk of ending the dare!
do you...want to end the dare?
okay, what the actual fuck. why are you having that thought?
"i like you beomgyu-ah." you mumbled reluctantly in the most monotone, robotic voice ever. and his previous sorta serious face morphs into a fit of laughter.. KNEE slapping laughter.
"god you should've--you should've seen your face!" he said pointing at you while he uses his other hand to hold his stomach. like an elementary bully ad.
and the fit of laughter continued.
"was that whole im mad act fake? you're...ugh." you groaned. another day, another beomgyu being a total dick.
you took beomgyu by the wrist again to push him out of the back. "bye! it's time for you to leave!" you said loudly.
"alright alright i'm leaving--ow!"
you had to go through seeing him laughing all the way to the exit door, but hey, at least he was gone. you sigh, relieved.
but then you hear the ding again.
"i like you too by the way" beomgyu shouted out. and then left again.

the set up — rafe cameron; part two
𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: you've been one of the pogues since childhood, and your loyalty has always lied within your friend group, who is practically your family. when a threat by the name of rafe cameron begins to threaten the pogue's plans, they assign you to gain the trust of the dubious kook and keep an eye on what he's up to. however, now it's been six months since your friends set you up to spy on the kook prince himself, but what you didn't anticipate was to fall head over heels for the boy. your relationship had soon become inviolable shortly after your guys' first exchanges, much to your friends' dismay, and you two became practically inseperable. that was, until rafe discovers the truth.
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴(𝘀): cussing, slight angst (?), topper being annoying, some flirting, possible mentions of drug use
𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: thank you guys for all of the love on the first part of this story! genuinely, it means so much to me that you guys enjoyed it. pls bare with me as far as adding some of you who asked about being on my taglist, i've had tumblr for like 11 years now but i've never posted my writings on here before so i'm figuring things out to keep it all organized! it's also likely this will become a series, bc there's so much more to tell w this story. let me know if you'd like to be added! anyways, thank y'all again. mwah
-𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿-
The plan was finally set in stone. After many weeks of scheming and devising up a strategy with the help of Pope's unparalleled intellect, and JJ's bizarre inebriated ideas, you and your friends eventually came to an agreement. You had one month to gain the trust of none other than Rafe Cameron, Kook prince and vain asshole. You knew ahead of time that the task itself was not going to be an easy one, especially after Sarah had warned you of how untrusting her brother was with everyone, besides his dad. What made it even harder was that Rafe already knew that you were a Pogue, his number one enemy in the world. But despite his wariness and bitterness towards your kind, at the end of the day, Rafe was no stronger than any other man when it come to his desires and urges.
Sure you were a Pogue from the Cut, but you still knew how to clean up exceptionally well, and regardless of how much he loathed people like you, Rafe couldn't resist you when you'd show up at the golf course he frequented, dressed up in your short pink tennis skirt and a white polo collar crop top. You knew that the fastest way to the Kook prince's heart was through cajolery and the use of magnetism, so when JJ scored you a job as a bev cart girl at his work in order to be in direct contact with the Cameron's son, you transformed your appearance to that of a temptress.
You had been employed at the golf course for about a week before you had a proper interaction with Rafe. Before that, you were mostly being occupied by his best friend, Topper Thornton, who made it his mission to chat you up during your every shift that he was there for. It was a minor displeasure to have to endure Topper's desperate attempts at flirting with you, but you reminded yourself that you were there for one reason - Rafe.
"Y/n! Hey!" You heard a familiar, grating voice call out to you, stopping you in your tracks immediately. Topper.
"Hey Top," you masked your irritation through a forced smile as you quietly sighed to yourself, mentally preparing for the exchange you were about to have, "what's up?"
Topper flashed you a small, genial smile in return at the sound of your soft-spoken voice, "Was hoping I'd see you hear today, the other bev cart girl kind of sucks." He joked in his typical monotonous tone, shaking his head as he let out a half-hearted chuckle.
Behind him you heard a deep, dry laugh approach the conversation, catching you off guard at the sudden noise. Your eyes shot over to the direction at which the sound was coming from, and once you discovered just exactly who it came from, your heart skipped a beat.
"What a simp," the smoky voice of the dirty blond Kook teased as he nudged Topper's arm, "flirting with the damn bev cart girl."
You could feel heat rise to your, now, flushed cheeks at the low-pitched tone that sent vibrations down your spine. You found yourself peering up coyly at the tall stature in front of you, soon being met with a piercing set of blue eyes that locked with yours. His stare felt rather domineering as he eyed your half-exposed figure, which only made you feel more vulnerable than before. As if that wasn't enough, your breath hitched when you noticed the way he bit down on his lip subtly while his eyes found their way to your mini skirt. The feeling of Rafe watching you so intently had your body heat rising gradually, an impuissant energy coarsing through your veins as you watched him tower over you.
"I do have a name." You interjected, deriding Rafe's comment that felt as though he was reducing you to nothing but a beverage cart attended, which had you rolling your eyes internally at his ignorance. However, in order to refrain yourself from catching an attitude with the boy, and quite frankly because part of you was scared, you pressed your lips together in an attempt to keep what composure you had left in you.
Topper chuckled in regard to your statement, finding it amusing that you had the guts to, somewhat, stand up to Rafe Cameron. Something very few people did, and the ones that did, barely lived to regret it.
"Well excuse me," Rafe tilted his head condescendingly at you, an arrogant smirk forming on his lips, "why don't you tell me your name then? Don't think we've had a chance to meet yet." His words sounded welcoming but his tone told another story. You could tell by his burning stare and snarky timbre that he was trying to get a rise out of you, this was a game to him. But it was his mistake for misjudging the kind of person you were, because you had just enough stamina to give it right back to him.
"Y/n," you stated matter-of-factly, "I've only been here about a week now, but typically I'm the one delivering the drinks to you and your friends. Which seems to be often." You satirize back at him, your voice remaining at the same soft and subtle pitch it's usually at, which only throws Rafe off even more at your remark. You could feel a sense of chagrin radiating from the petulant Kook as he momentarily glared at you, only to be set off even more once Topper erupts in a brief fit of laughter, patting his friend on the back in a teasing manner.
"See, told you she's better than the other girl." Topper bantered at his moody friend, whose glare hadn't left your figure since you spoke last. Part of you felt like withering away the longer Rafe burned holes into you with his scowl, but you remained in place, refusing to let him get the best of you.
After another minute of Topper basking in the humor of the situation that had just occurred, he finally walked off back to the rest of his friend group that accompanied him to the golf course, all of course being Kooks. Your confidence seemed to falter following the absence of the preppy teen, now having been left with the irascible Kook who seemed to have inched closer to you since you two had been left alone. You gulped quietly as you broke eye contact with the dirty blond, keeping your eyes glued to the ground as you felt him approach you closer and closer.
"You know I will say, even though you are a Pogue," Rafe lowered his voice, the sultry tonality of it purring in your ear as he brushed your hair aside, "you are pretty nice to look at." His tantalizing words setting off fireworks at the pit of your stomach, feeling as though your knees were going to buckle beneath you.
Then suddenly, an idea popped up in your head. You were there for a reason, and that reason was standing right in front of you, the perfect opportunity right at your feet. Play along with him. You told yourself.
You looked up at him through your eyelashes, an innocent facade casted over your dewy-eyes. Your body language relaxed a bit, shoulders dropping as you attempted to invite him into your company before you spoke, "I don't see you doing anything about it, Cameron." You whispered softly, voice barely audibly to anyone besides you and Rafe. Your comment seemed to have taken him by surprise since his eyes went wide and his eyebrows raised instantly, but you could see a glimpse of amusement in his azure irides. A sense of victory washed over you as you realized Rafe was slowly, but surely, falling into your trap.
"Trust me," Rafe hummed to himself, looking your physique up and down once more, "I've thought about it."
You smirked up at him in response, "Why's that?"
"Because for the past week, I've seen you parading around this place like you have no clue in the world how these men look at you. So naive to the way they all gawk at you. I can't tell if it's just you playing dumb, or that you genuinely have never been told. But if that's the case, I'll gladly be the one to show you." Rafe whispered fondly in your ear, his body so close to yours that the smell of his cologne clouded your airways and put you in a daze.
"What would you show me?" You asked naively, acting as though you were blissfully unaware of the way that those putrid old, rich men gaped at you as you strolled around on your golf cart, hoping they could get a better view up your skirt as the wind blew while you drove by. Truth be told, their goggling made you feel queasy and uncomfortable, but you had a promise and a plan to stick to for your friends' sake, even if it was at the expense of your amenity.
"I'd take you out of that hell-hole of a place you Pogues reside at. Show you what it's like to be a Kook for once. With your looks, I think you'd fit in just nice. A Kook princess." Rafe's eyes began to darken with a strong urge to covet you to accept his offer, except little did he know, it was exactly what you wanted to hear from him.
"So prove it to me."
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
"No fucking way." Kiara expressed in disbelief at the recount of your interaction with Rafe Cameron earlier that day. Proud was an understatement to describe the feeling your friends' had towards you once you had told them just how the boy immediately fell for your tricks. In all honesty, the Pogues, yourself included, assumed it would take a bit of time to weasle your way into Rafe's interest, but in reality all it took was a short tennis skirt and flashing your doe eyes at him. It was almost comical how fast the leery Kook fell for it and you.
"So now what? Where do we go from here?" You asked, walking over to the dilapidated couch where your best friend, JJ, sat with a joint in his hands. As usual, you found your seat right in JJ's wide-open lap as you gently snatched the blunt right from his fingers and putting it in-between your gloss covered lips. The blond frowned at the theft of his beloved joint, but his sorrows were soon erased as he watched you inhale, becoming entranced in your movements, unbeknownst to you.
"Just keep things going with him," Sarah added, "keep him interested. Rafe's usually the type to use girls and disregard them afterwards, so you've got to keep him on his toes."
You sighed in response, taking in the magnitude of how difficult the plan your friends' conspired may be. "Alright, sounds easy enough." You replied sardonically.
"He's not going to be an easy one to crack, but we've got to do this. If this doesn't work, we'll all be fucked." Pope chimed in with his typical state of panic and distress.
"It'll be fine, Pope. Y/n has got this." Kiara reassured, flashing you a small supportive smile as if she could sense your own self-doubt radiating off of you.
"Well I'm going to bed, it's been a long day," John B announced as he stood up from the armrest of the couch, "good job with everything you did today, y/n. Knew you could do it." He smiled as he approached you, giving you an encouraging high-five before ruffling up your hair some. Behind the brunette came Sarah, who followed him back to his bedroom once she said her goodnight's to everyone in the living room.
"I think we're gonna head out, too. Pope has been stressing me out about this damn plan all day and my head hurts." Kiara commented shortly after Sarah and John B exited the room, "I'll see you guys tomorrow." She gave a soft smile before dragging Pope to the spare bedroom of the chateau with her. With the new absence of your coupled-up friends, you found yourself sitting in a comfortable silence with your blond best friend, JJ. You sat slouched horizontally across his lap, feeling his warm fingertips trace gentle lines across your exposed thighs.
"Y/n?" JJ muttered, his blue eyes somewhat hazy from the high he was experiencing.
"Hmm?" You hummed tiredly as you turned your head to face him.
"You're not like, actually gonna date him.. Are you?" The boy asked with all sincerity in his voice, which made your heart flutter.
"Of course not, that'd be crazy." You laughed, shrugging off JJ's evident concern.
"Okay good. Yeah I just, I don't know, that dude is crazy. A girl like you shouldn't be caught up with someone like that." JJ stated, scratching the back of his head as the feeling of awkwardness crept up on him while he approached the new topic.
"What do you mean by that?" You raised your eyebrow at him in confusion, lost by what point he was trying to get at.
"Well you.. You're you, and Rafe, he's just insane. Dude gets in fights every other week, I mean he's definitely got to be on something. No sober, right-minded person acts like he does and he just-"
"What about me?" You interrupted the blond's endless tangent, which could have went on for hours if you let him keep talking.
"Oh. Well you know, you're important to me and I just don't want you getting hurt by him. He's not a good guy, y/n. And if he ever did something to you I'd kick that son of a bitch right in his-"
"JJ," you stopped him, laughing at his blethering, "that's not going to happen, I promise you. So don't worry about it." You assured him, shaking your head lightheartedly.
"Just sayin'." JJ added as he shrugged, his back beginning to sink further into the couch as his body grew more relaxed. You found comfort in that moment with your dearest friend, watching his chest rise and fall gradually as he breathed. You felt yourself growing more and more drowsy as the mixture of silence and a comatose state washed over you. Ignoring the fact that you were still sat in JJ's lap and not having the energy to care to move off of it, you allowed yourself to rest gently against JJ's chest, his warm skin heating you up like a blanket. He accepted your gesture and gave you room to snuggle up into him, nuzzling your face into his neck gently. Before sleep could fully take over, you felt JJ shift a bit as he leaned over to grab the nearest blanket next to him, throwing it over the two of you just before shutting his eyes and dozing off to sleep himself.
It was safe to say you felt a great sense of accomplishment at what you had managed to achieve that day, with Rafe seeming to so easily give in to his desire and invite you into his life without much question. However, it was just the beginning and you still had an entire month to gain his trust and keep it. It all seemed so easy, but anything involving Rafe Cameron was bound to be complicated.
But nobody could have anticipated what was to come.

What are your Solangelo headcanons?
I’m so sorry you had to wait so long! I basically spent ages to staring at a wall trying to think up my best ones. So, here you go @hazellevessque!
As soon as Will found out Nico spoke Italian, he immediately went and learned some, and then surprised him
Or, Will speaks Italian because it’s the language of music (just like Piper can speak French because it’s the language of love), and Nico was ranting about losing Capture the Flag to Clarisse.
He was speaking rapid fire Italian, and Will just came over, and said: "Va tutto bene, amore mio. Calmati. Unisciti alla prossima volta?”
(“It’s okay, my love. Calm down. Team up next time?”)
Nico didn’t know how to ask Will out so he just came up to him and said “Me. You. Tonight. At seven. Be there” and left.
Will just stood there looking stunned, then went back to his cabin and partied.
(Alternate idea to what they said to Gloria in TSATS)
When Will and Nico adopted their first baby girl (pretty sure this is canon, but I don’t know), they called her Bianca Di Angelo-Solace
Will and Nico both had playlists dedicated to each other and never found out until they were well into the relationship (credit to @a-headcanon-a-day)
Will, as child of Apollo, is as scared of snakes as children of Athena are scared of spiders. He absolutely PANICS.
Nico is very protective of his boyfriend and his instincts always make him grab Will or cover Will with his body whenever some danger occurs. (credit to @nicodisigma)
Will would totally initiate random lightsaber fights. Like he would attack his siblings all the time just...out of nowhere (it's the ADHD).
Kayla would roll her eyes and threaten to snap the saber in half. Austin would play along and fall to the floor and dramatically die.
But the first person to actually fight back was Nico, who secretly has his own lightsaber hidden in the shadows. And he would disarm Will in some sort of fancy move that would leave Will stuttering and blushing because it was hot.
(Fastest way to get to Will's heart is with a lightsaber) (credit to @ace-writer-lani)
Will’s clingy when it’s summer because Nico’s always colder than an average human and Nico’s clingy in the winter because Will is a walking furnace. (Credit to @yonemurishiroku for this one)

Dream Girl.
Pairing Travis Kelce x Reader
Words 4810
Warnings Smut, fluff, language, alcohol, angst...just, tread carefully.
This was an anon request, how exciting! This was my first request and I am very open to receiving more! I embellished the plot request a little bit, to add some angst as I've not got a lot of that in my other stuff so far. I hope I did your request justice, whoever you are! "Heyy i have a request if you ever wanna try it, I meet Travis at Coachella this year I was thinking if you could do a fic x reader where they bump into each other at a concert/festival and one thing let to another"
The crowds were busy and the sun was hot, which only made it worse. People were shoulder to shoulder, stranger skin's touching and you were trying your best to keep your personal space.
But you loved it.
You had counted down the days to Coachella. Planning the trip, organising travel and accommodation. Each year you had wanted to go but finances and work commitments made it impossible. But since you had launched your own beauty brand, everything seemed to fall into place. You were able to attend this year as an influencer, securing luxury accommodation in one of the Safari Campground's stunning yurts.
"Okay, let's get a drink and then go to see Blondie?"
You quickly glanced at your watch before looking back to Ayla, your best friend and business partner who was attending the festival with you.
"Sounds like a plan."
You both made your way across the grass to the nearest bar, stopping to take a couple of photos. As you joined the end of the line, you pulled out your phone to post the photos to your business page. You were slowly getting close to the front of the line when you were bumped into by someone behind you.
You shot Ayla a look of annoyance but decided to ignore it. You were expecting this and you had attended festivals in the past with a similar issue. It was busy, you understood that, but when the stranger behind you bumped into you again, you turned your head slightly and cleared your throat.
In your peripheral vision, you could see a small group of tall men behind you, talking loudly and fooling around.
Ayla nudged your arm, "Just boys acting like little boys."
You nodded in agreement and stepped forward as the line moved along when a loud voice behind you pierced your eardrums.
"Hey yo! Can we get some beers here?"
Your eyes furrowed and you spun around, "Excuse me, but-"
Your heart dropped at the sight of the man before you. Nike baseball cap, colourful striped t-shirt, white denim shorts and bright sneakers. He had a trimmed beard and sunglasses covering his eyes but you recognised him straight away.
"Travis?"
"Y/N." He smiled back, reaching out for a hug.
You awkwardly accepted the embrace, wrapping your arms around his 6 foot 5 inch frame. You pulled away, your breathing quickening it's pace. You could barely keep eye contact with him as he tried to catch your gaze.
"How've you been? It's been a while."
"Y-yeah...I've been great."
"What can I get you?" You heard an unfamiliar voice behind you.
You spun around to face the bartender and froze, your mind still focusing on the burning feeling in your chest.
"Four beers, please." Ayla shouted over the noise of the music.
You smiled at Ayla and picked up the bottles, quickly turning and walking briskly away from the bar. Ayla tried to keep up with you before stopping you with a hand on your shoulder.
"What the hell, Y/N? Who was that?" She pushed her braids away from her face as she turned her head over her shoulder to get another look at him.
You blinked and took a sip of your beer, "That is Travis Kelce. Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs. Two-time Superbowl winner. Eight-time Pro-Bowler and four-time All-Pro. Fastest Tight End to reach-"
Ayla waved her hands in front of your face, "Stop, stop. I have no idea what you're talking about."
You took another sip. "My childhood sweetheart."
Ayla's mouth dropped open, "Oh dang."
"Oh, dang indeed." You took another sip and started walking further towards the crowd gathering at the stage. "But it's no big deal, it was 10 years ago or something."
Ayla stood in front of you, "Yeah...but you should totally go and speak to him. He's fine! And he's looking at you."
You felt your cheeks blush instantly. You and Travis had been friends all through High School. He was a year older than you but you had grown up together and your parents were friends so you spent a lot of time in each others company. You were his date for his senior prom and he told you he had always had a crush on you. Since then, your friendship blossomed into an intense and long relationship. You eventually joined him at the University of Cincinnati but when he was drafted to Kansas City after college, you couldn't take it.
"So, are you saying that football is more important than me?"
"No, but you are just as important as my career." Travis tried to reach out for you, "Move with me."
You pushed him away. "I can't, I have work and school."
"This is an amazing opportunity for me."
"You just don't get it."
Ayla grabbed at your arm, "Oh shit, he's coming over."
You raked a hand through your hair quickly and looked down at yourself, making sure that you looked good. Ayla winked at you and stepped back a bit, pulling her phone out to pretend she was making a call.
You felt his presence behind you and took a deep breath before turning around.
"Hey." You breathed.
His eyes travelled down your body and back up to meets yours.
You held up a finger, "And you can stop doing that, right now."
Travis laughed and glanced to the floor, rubbing his palms together, "You haven't changed one bit."
You cocked your head to one side, "I hope you have."
He held his hands up, "Woah, where's all of this hostility coming from, man?"
You sighed in frustration, "What do you want, Travis?" Folding your arms across your body.
His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Ah man, do you still hate me that much?"
"I don't hate you, I-" You stopped yourself immediately. You sighed again.
Travis' eyes flickered around your face, hoping for a sign of what you were going to say to him.
After a short silence, you shook your head, "Look, I'll see you around."
You started to walk past him when he grabbed at your wrist, stopping you with his face inches away from yours.
"I hope so. You look good, Y/N." His voice was low and gruff and it made you go numb for a second.
You managed a small smile before walking towards Ayla, your heart aggressively beating out of your chest.
_______________________________________________
"Call me! On the line, call me, call me any, anytime!" You screamed as your arms waved wildly in the air.
Ayla had her phone pointed at you, singing along with you. The tassels on your denim jacket swirling and shimmering in the light.
You felt your phone vibrate in your bag. You reached for it and unlocked the screen, your eyes narrowing as you opened up an Instagram message.
"killatrav: Come meet me by the VIP entrance. We could talk?"
You locked your phone and placed in back into your bag, choosing to enjoy the festival, instead of dragging up old memories.
"I love you so much, Y/N." He grasped at your hands, desperate.
"I love you too, Travis."
"Just not enough, huh?"
"Will you stop? It's difficult. We're both young, Travis. You have this huge future in front of you. I need to stay here and focus on my last year of school. I need to have a future too."
"Not with me? Is that what you're saying?"
"I need to give myself a chance. I can't be hanging onto you all of my life. I need something for myself. I want to graduate, start a business, make something of myself, just like you will. But I need to do this on my own."
Travis looked utterly defeated.
Suddenly, Ayla's phone was in front of your face and she appeared next to you, ready to take a photograph of the pair of you. You plastered on a wide smile and winked for the camera, wrapping an arm around her waist to get in closer, allowing the past to fade from your mind.
_______________________________________________
You gently rubbed your clouded eyes as you walked back to your yurt for the night. Ayla and yourself had danced and laughed all night, enjoying the music and drinking beer. Now, you were heading back to sleep for as many hours as you could grab before starting the next day of the festival. Ayla had planned to go to an early Yoga session at the Wellness Oasis the next morning and you had agreed to go, although you were currently regretting that decision.
"Ooh, no line at the bathrooms, hold on. I'll be just a minute."
You took hold of Ayla's bag and smiled, "No problem, I'll wait here."
She disappeared into bathroom area as you scrolled through the photos you had taken that day when someone blocked the light shining from the lamp next to you.
Looking up, you saw Travis grinning down at you. You rolled your eyes and returned to you phone.
"Oh man, come on! Are you not pleased to see me?"
You looked back up at him, "Travis, I came here to have a good time-"
He came closer to you, your bodies almost touching, "I can give you a good time."
You playfully hit his chest, instantly reeling at the hard muscle under his shirt, "Will you stop?"
There was a slight giggle in your voice which lightened the mood. Travis rested against the fence next you.
"Will you at least just tell me why you hate me? You broke up with me remember?"
You looked down at the floor, "Travis, I said earlier, I don't hate you..."
He almost reached for you but stopped. You looked down at his hand.
"...I love you."
Travis' mouth opened slightly. You finally met his gaze and blinked away some tears that were pooling around your lower lash line.
"Shit, I'm too drunk for this right now." You shook your head and started to walk away.
Before you could make one step, Travis blocked your path. He suddenly grasped at your waist, pulling you close and pressing his lips to yours. The kiss felt frantic, messy but you melted into it for just a second before pulling away.
"Travis." You stayed close to his face.
"Y/N?" Ayla said from behind you.
You whipped your head around and stepped away from Travis.
"Am I interrupting?"
You cleared your throat, "Yes, thank you. Come on." You took hold of Ayla's hand and left Travis where he was standing.
"What is going on?" Ayla panted as she tried to keep up with you.
"I just need to get away from him."
"Why?"
"Ayla, I've spent 10 years of my life trying to forget about Travis Kelce. And him being here now...it's just bringing all of these feelings back that I don't think I ever got over." You slowed down to a stop.
Ayla reached forward and stroked your hair, "Aww, honey."
Your eyes darted around to make sure he hadn't followed you, "Can we just go back to the yurt and go to sleep?"
"Sure." She gave you a gentle and sympathetic smile before taking your hand.
_______________________________________________
You breathed in deeply, listening to the relaxing music and stretched into your next pose. You had decided to go to Yoga with Ayla, figuring that an hour of relaxation would do you some good.
You closed your eyes and focused on the sounds of the rain stick, but it only made your mind wander to memories of Travis' senior prom. The sound of the rain against the roof of his car. The smell of Travis' cologne. The feeling of your dress resting on your knees.
"Shall we go in?" You asked him.
"Wait a minute...at least until it stops raining."
You laughed, "Travis, that could take all night!"
He smiled, "I don't care. I'd much rather sit here with you than go in there anyway."
"You're crazy!"
Travis took a deep breath, "Y/N, I need to tell you something." He was looking down at his hands, fiddling with the bottom hem of his blazer.
"Oh, there's Stephanie!" You spotted your friend at the driver's side window, waving your hands wildly, "Stephanie, we'll be there in a minute!" You shouted through the window.
Travis took your hands in his own and held them tight, "Y/N, I'm trying to tell you something!"
You blinked and lowered your voice slightly, "Okay, okay, go ahead."
He hummed gently, "We're friends, right?"
You squeezed his hands, "Best friends."
"Yeah." Travis paused, "But...have you ever thought that we maybe could be anything else?"
You pushed your eyebrows together, "What do you mean."
Travis began tracing small circles on the back of your hands with his thumbs, "Y/N, I like you, I always have." He breathed a laugh, "Shit, I've had a crush on you since we were, like, 13."
Your eyes widened as he spoke.
"I've never had the guts to tell you but since I'm going to college I...I thought I had nothing to lose?"
Your lips parted slightly, a small breath escaped and you looked into Travis' eyes. They were full of apprehension and nerves, emotions that were rare for him. You were so used to seeing him being confident, almost cocky but here he was, completely vulnerable and open to you.
You smiled, "Travis-"
"If you don't feel the same way, that's fine. And we can just go in there and enjoy prom and pretend that this never happened. But before you say anything else-"
"I love the way you eat hotdogs in two bites. I love the way you dance every time you score a touchdown or a three pointer. I love the way you smile at me from across the cafeteria and the way you always let me pick the movies we watch. I love that you're always the first one to back me up with anything, even if I'm being a jerk. I hate that you're about be 3 hours away from me but most importantly, I hate that it has taken you this long to tell me how you felt, because...I love you, Travis."
A slow smile crept onto Travis' face before he leaned forward and kissed you, the most gentle but most passionate kiss. His hands stayed grasping at yours, his cologne filling your nostrils.
"You're my dream girl."
You opened your eyes as the sound of the rain stick stopped and the instructor stood up. You could feel tears building up in your eyes and you attempted to sniff them away.
As you made your way out of the Wellness Oasis, you looked up at the morning sun. You needed to find Travis, to speak to him and get some closure.
Reaching for your phone, you quickly typed out a message.
"I need to see you."
You kept your eyes glued to the screen as you waited for a response.
"Where are you? I'm coming now."
_______________________________________________
You found a relatively quiet area in the camp lounge, sitting yourself down on a yellow beanbag. You were nervous and anxious, chewing on the inside of your cheek.
A figure blocked the light streaming in through the entrance to the large tent. Travis looked just as nervous as you felt, but he smiled when he spotted you. You stood up, instinctively, to give him a hug as he got closer to you. He felt stronger than you were used to. He had grown in 10 years and you sighed at the safe feeling his arms gave you. You sat back down and he followed by pulling up another beanbag in front of you.
He glanced at your mint green leggings and matching cropped shirt, "You had a workout?"
You smiled, "Eh yeah, I did some Yoga this morning."
"Wow." He smiled, "I remember when I could barely get out of bed for class."
You nodded, "Things have changed."
The smile almost faded from Travis' face, "Yeah, it seems so."
There was an awkward silence.
"Why didn't you call me?"
Travis widened his eyes and sat up slightly, "What?"
"Why didn't you call me? Text me? Anything?"
"You said you didn't want me to." There was almost a crack in his voice.
You frowned, "Because I was hurt. I felt like you didn't care about me."
"I cared about you a lot, I did care about you...I still do care."
Another silence. You weren't sure what to say. Resting back onto your beanbag you looked around at the small pockets of people around the tent. Relaxing, reading, cooling off from the sun and chatting. You turned back to Travis to see he was still looking at you. Your heart ached and your chest burned with a mixture of feelings, but the emotion at the fore front was love. He had changed physically; his stature was somehow even taller than you remembered and his shoulders had broadened. His face had aged well, growing into his features making him undeniably handsome. His eyes hadn't changed, though. They still pierced into yours, causing your stomach to bubble with excitement just as it used to.
"I saw you launched a beauty brand?" He fidgeted with his fingers.
"Uh, yeah. Last year, actually. It's...going really well." You nodded and smiled.
"That was always your dream." His lips flattened against each other into a sad smile, "I'm really proud of you."
"I'm proud of you too, Travis."
He rubbed his palms together, "I missed you though. It isn't the same without you at the games."
You smiled, "You've done just fine without me."
"I didn't want to though." He cleared his throat gently.
You opened your mouth but Travis leaned forward.
"Can I take you on a date?"
You laughed, confused, "What? Here?"
Travis looked around, "Why not? Look, come to my cabin that I'm staying in."
You chewed on your bottom lip and your chest was rising and falling quicker. "O-okay."
His mouth moved into a smile, "Okay, great! I'll send you the location."

"Oh my God? Oh my God. Are you really doing this?" Ayla looked at you with wide eyes.
You ran your hands through your hair, reaching for your compact mirror, "Yeah, why not?"
"Well, just yesterday you were saying that you didn't want to bring up any old feelings? Now, you're doing the complete opposite."
You sighed, "I just want to spend some time with him. I think...I think we could still have something."
Ayla paused and raised her eyebrows, "You think?"
"Don't look at me like that." You snapped.
Ayla leaned back, "Woah, woah, relax. I just don't want you back here in a couple of hours upset and crying and saying you never should have gone. I'm just looking out for you, honey."
"I know what I'm doing." You tried to reassure her as you closed your mirror and returned it to your bag.
"And what is it that you're doing?"
"I don't know. But I want to see him. Whatever happens, I have to at least try?"

The sounds of the festival were low and muffled through the walls of Travis' cabin which was luxuriously decorated in warm oranges and neutral greens. You had already had some beers before you arrived to calm your nerves and now you were sipping more on Travis' bed.
"Remember when you broke the ladder to my tree house? My Dad was so mad at you." You laughed. "He'd only just built it!"
Travis placed a hand over his stomach as he laughed, slightly rolling towards you, "Oh shit, yeah. I thought he was gunna kick my ass that day."
"I still don't think he's forgiven you." You looked away, "He's also a Raiders fan."
Travis' hand moved up to his chest as he groaned, "Ahh, Mr Y/L/N! Why you gotta do me like that?"
You relaxed slightly and laughed along with him.
"Remember when my Mom walked in on us when we were...?"
Your eyes sparkled as you sipped your beer, "Mmmm, oh yeah! Bless her heart!"
"She was happy in the end though, she always liked you, she still does. She asks about you sometimes, you know? Asks me if I've spoken to you."
Your tipped your head to one side, pouting your lips and touching his arm subconsciously, "Aww I love Donna. I miss her." You placed your drink on the small table next to the bed.
Travis leaned across you, putting his beer bottle down next to yours, "Do you miss me?"
Your eyes burned, "Everyday, Travis. I miss you everyday."
His gaze lowered to your mouth before returning to your eyes. He licked his lips as he leaned in closer, hovering over your mouth.
You froze, just inches away from his face, a throbbing starting to grow in your core. Travis took a deep breath before you closed the gap between you, pressing your lips to his with a firm pressure. Your eyes flickered shut and your mouth moved with his. Travis brought his hand to your face, gently caressing your cheek as you rolled your body towards him, your chest pressing into his. As the kiss became deeper, he lifted himself slightly so that he was almost leaning over you and you responded by grabbing his shirt and pulling him on top of you. Your back hit the soft mattress and Travis' hand began to explore you. You smiled slightly as he ghosted over your breast, almost unsure if you welcomed his touch.
Almost immediately, you placed your hand on top of his and pushed it onto your chest, allowing him to grab at the flesh underneath your clothes. Travis's hips bucked forwards into your pelvis and you could feel a hardness that made you tingle. You groaned into the kiss, tugging at the fabric covering his body. He stood up quickly, pulling his shirt off over his head. Your eyes gleamed at your studied his torso, sporting more hair and defined muscles than you remember. He bit down on his bottom lip and he crawled back towards you, fingers running over the low neckline of your sequin dress. You sat up and lifted the dress off, exposing your matching lace bra and thong. Travis' face froze as he stood up and he breathed hard and fast, eyes tracing your body longingly. You raised up onto your knees as Travis remained still at the foot of the bed.
Looking up at him through your eyelashes, you kept eye contact whilst you slowly lowered his shorts and black briefs in one motion. His cock sprang free and bounced slightly in font of your face. It was hard and a small bead of moisture had formed at the tip. You licked your lips and slowly took his entire length in your mouth, your head starting to bob. Travis let out a low grunt and carefully placed his hand at the back of your head. Your tongue ran up and down his entire length and you saw his thighs start to twitch. Quickly, you pushed your head to take his dick deeper, the tip pushing against the back of your throat.
"Oh, baby." Travis moaned.
You gagged slightly, saliva forming in your throat. With a gasp, you tilted your head back and swallowed. Travis took his thumb and ran it over your bottom lip.
"Babygirl, I've missed you so much."
You smiled, letting him guide you back down onto the bed. He kissed you lazily from your neck to your hips, his hands pulling your thong down. His eyes looked at you hungrily as you took your bra off, your nipples hard with arousal and your skin speckled with goose bumps. His head lowered down and you watched as his soft lips placed small kisses around your waist and inner thighs, waves of pleasure forming every time he was close to your pussy. You whimpered when he nibbled at your sensitive skin, his action getting closer and closer to where you wanted him. He quickly looked up at you to see your face before his tongue flicked at your clit. You cried out and he smiled that he was causing you to make those noises again after so long. As his tongue expertly worked at your folds, you were becoming more and more breathless.
"Travis...Trav-uhhh...that feels..."
He hummed as he pushed his tongue against your pussy, licking your folds slowly and gently. He lapped up the wetness that was forming before bringing himself back up to you. You lifted your head to kiss his lips, his trimmed beard glistening.
"You taste so sweet." His voice was a low groan.
With one quick action, Travis lifted one of your legs over his shoulder and ran his length down your folds, your wetness coating his dick. You gasped as he ground his dick against your pussy, his tip grazing your clit with each motion.
"I need...I need you."
Travis pressed his forehead onto yours and looked deeply into your eyes, "You want it?"
You nodded, shakily, "Yes, please. P-please, Travis. I need you inside of me."
He carefully lined himself up before pushing the whole length of his hardness into you, your eyes widening with each inch. You cried out again, your mouth gaping open. Travis began thrusting gently, keeping full eye contact with you. You looked at him pleadingly as his eyebrows lowered more with every thrust. Your breasts were bouncing quicker and when your eyes rolled back into your head and your back arched upwards, Travis responded by pushing into you even harder.
You squealed and grabbed onto the bed sheets with both hands, biting down on your bottom lip. Travis brought his mouth to your neck, gently sucking and groaning against your skin.
Travis' shoulders seemed to tense and without warning, he flipped you around on top of him and your knees landed either side of his hips. His thick cock was still inside of you and without missing a beat, you started bouncing. Travis reached out for your breasts, rolling your nipples between his fingers. You looked down to him and his face was quivering. You could see he was close so you leaned down, his dick now grazing your g-spot. You wanted to climax at the same time as him so you arched your back and bounced your ass up and down. Travis moaned even louder with your action and closed his eyes, his jaw clenching.
You sped up, the sound of your inner thighs slapping against his hips loud in the air. Travis opened his mouth, grunting breathlessly. You could feel your own core tightening at his impressive stamina, his hands lowering to your waist, leaving red marks in their wake. Your bounces became lazy as your muscles were tiring so you leaned forward and angled your body downwards, letting Travis' entire length fill your pussy. Grinding back and forth, his tip grazed your walls, making your arousal cover his cock. You smiled at how wet he was making you, a shiver travelling down your spine as your nipples rubbed against his chest hair. His hips bucked upwards, making his dick go even deeper than you thought it could.
Suddenly, Travis rolled over, his length exiting you with a wet sound. He turned you onto your side, moving close in behind you. You lifted your knee, making your pussy accessible for him. With one hand holding your breast and the other hooked around your lifted leg, he pushed his cock back inside of you with ease, causing a soft moan to escape your lips. He moved slowly and gently, massaging your breast with a light touch. Your skin tingled and you squeezed your eyes closed, pushing your face into the pillow. Travis snaked his hand around to your chin and pulled your face towards him, peppering your cheek with sloppy kisses. His grip on you tightened and he groaned in your ear, making you close to orgasm.
"I...love you. I always have." He grunted through his breaths.
His words made you clench your walls around him, making your swollen clit burn and release an intense high across your whole body. Travis lifted himself slightly onto his elbow so he could look into your eyes. He stared deep, watching your face squirm with every thrust. You could feel his pace labouring, signalling his nearing approach to orgasm. With a few aggressive thrusts, Travis' eyes grew wider and he let go of your leg, his hand moving directly to your clit. He growled as he filled you with his semen, covering your lips with kisses.
You laid in his embrace for a moment, letting your breathing slow down. His hot breath against your neck, he loosened his grip. He relaxed onto his back and you rolled over to rest your head on his chest. Pulling your arm over him, he stroked your hair.
"You're my dream girl, Y/N."

When a Good Plan Backfires
kol mikealson x reader
summary: elena had it planned to a T. she was going to lure kol to her house where jeremy would be stationed to kill him, not only ridding him from their lives, but also completing the hunter's mark. most everyone was in on the plan, too, and had their own roles. well, everyone, except for you. she had left you out on purpose, fearing you'd interfere to protect the original. what she didn't know, though, was that not warning you would make her whole plan backfire miserably.

Stefan revs his motorcycle before asking Elena to repeat herself. He’s almost in disbelief at her plan. “What did you say?”
“I want Jeremy to kill Kol. He just attacked Bonnie at the school, but now the three of us are planning this out. Bonnie can hold him down, and she can distract Klaus, too. We just need you to dagger Rebekah so she doesn’t come after us.”
“You want to kill an original?”
“I think Jeremy can. Plus, it’s the fastest way to grow this mark so we can find the cure. Just… tell me you’ll handle Rebekah?”
“I can’t dagger her, Elena.”
“Well, why not?”
Stefan doesn’t answer her question.
“Just distract her somehow, please.”
“I’ll try. Hey, does Y/N know about this plan?”
Elena sighs, “we haven’t told her.”
“You really should. Not that I care about Kol, but we all care about her. I think she deserves a warning, at least.”
“I know,” the girl bites her lip, “but I don’t want her to sabotage this to save him.”
“I’m not going to interfere with your plan. If you want to kill Kol and not tell Y/N, fine, but know she might never talk to you again.”
“I don’t want her to hate me, but… he’s going to kill Jeremy, and will try to kill Bonnie again if we don’t do this. And killing him would break Damon’s compulsion, too. Plus… we all know she’ll be better without him in the long run. He’s not a good influence on her; she’s only going to get hurt. This is better for everyone.”
“I agree with that part, I’m just worried about her heart. I’d hate to break it by killing her best friend, especially without her knowledge. She’s still human, it’s not like she’d be able to turn off her humanity to deal with it.”
“Maybe that’s for the better, too. The less bloodthirsty vampires around here, the better. Which is why this needs to happen. Damon needs to be free, Rebekah needs to be handled, and Kol needs to be gone. I’m going to call Matt next and have him try to keep Y/N at The Grill tonight past closing. We can reveal everything afterwards.”
Stefan takes a deep breath, “alright.”
When Matt gets the call, he understands Elena’s point of view. He’s never liked how close you’ve gotten with Kol, and shares the same fears that he’ll hurt you eventually and you, who always loves so deeply, wouldn’t be able to survive it. That, or worse, Kol would snap one day and kill you. So when the girl begs him not to tell you, he agrees with the plan.
“We’ll all ask for forgiveness after,” he tells her. Elena likes this thought, then hangs up the phone.
“Hey, Y/N, can you help me a little later tonight? I want to make sure everything is cleaned and stocked well for the morning. I was a little slow by myself last night.”
“Of course! I don’t mind,” you smile, eyes sparkling. You usually get off at eight, but with the plan in effect, Matt wants to keep you at least an extra hour.
“Cool, thanks!”
◇◇◇◇
Despite agreeing with Elena, working with you that night and knowing what’s about to happen is killing him. The fact that your best friend is about to die - not only just daggered - and you can’t say goodbye to him feels so wrong. He takes a deep breath every time you smile at him, trying not to break.
Though at nine-thirty, he starts to crack.
“Hey, Y/N?”
“Mhm?” You turn to face him, dish in hand.
“Are you and Kol still… friends?”
You smile at the mention of his name, and Matt feels a pang of regret. “Yeah, why?”
“No reason, just curious.”
A giggle escapes your lips, “I actually was with him this morning. He came by early and we made pancakes.” Matt doesn’t answer, though you continue. “I know he’s been a little shit lately, going after Jeremy, but I just… I know how badly everyone wants the cure, but if Silas is as bad as Kol says he is, I don’t blame him for wanting to prevent them from finding it. And I know going after everyone who threatens to raise Silas is wrong of him, but he’s really scared and doesn’t know how else to deal with it. You know how dysfunctional that whole family is; they’re like the vampiric version of mine,” you joke.
“You really think he’s being honest about how bad Silas is?”
“I do. Especially considering that the dude’s been cemented for so long, he’ll probably go on a killing spree just to feel alive.”
Matt shifts uncomfortably. “Y/N… I have to tell you something.”
“What?”
“Elena-”
He’s cut off by a series of coughs from you, “sorry. I think I might’ve inhaled some pepper,” you mutter, hitting your chest for relief.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you clear your throat. It helps a little, but there’s still a bothersome tickle. “You were saying?”
“Elena and Bonnie are-”
There’s a loud crash as you drop the plate you were holding. It shatters into pieces on the ground. You’re not far behind, falling to the floor, but you catch yourself on the counter with a weak grip.
“Y/N?!” Matt rushes to your side, “are you okay? What’s happening?”
“I don’t know,” you cough some more, “I feel dizzy. Everything’s blurry. I,” a third series of coughs take over. They strain your body, making it harder to stand. Matt panics when you lose your grip and fall to the floor. Your body starts to shake, almost like a seizure. “What’s wrong with me?! Oh my god, help!”
“Stay right there! Let me call for help.” He grabs his phone, “shit! I’m calling 911!”
“No, please! Call Kol. Matt, I need him. He can help me.”
“Y/N, I can’t.”
“Why? His number’s 70-”
His lip trembles, “I can’t, I’m sorry.”
“A doctor can’t help me, please, you need to call him! Matt, I’m… he…”
“I’m going to call Elena, okay?”
“Why? What’s going on? Why can’t I see Kol?” More coughing stops your questioning.
“Elena?”
You hear her voice over the phone, “it’s over, Matt, K-”
The blond cuts her off, “Elena, wait! Stop! I need help, Y/N’s coughing and shaking. She just collapsed on the floor, I don’t know what to do!”
“Call 911, get her to the hospital!”
“She’s asking for Kol, Elena. She’s saying a doctor won’t help. I… I don’t know. I think-”
“Oh god,” she whispers. “Um, shit… bring her here.”
“But if he’s still-”
“Matt, just bring her here. Please.”
“I’ll get there fast.”
As soon as he hangs up, Matt carries your limp body into his truck and speeds off to the Gilberts’ house. You’re too weak to ask questions, and he’s too afraid, making for a silent trip, aside from your coughing. Your limbs are still shaking, jittery, as if you’ve had too much coffee. Though something tells him coffee’s definitely not the problem. When he pulls into their driveway, he turns to you.
“Y/N?”
“Yes?” Your voice is fragile. It honestly sounds like you’re dying.
“Close your eyes for me, please? You’ll be okay. I’ll guide you.”
“Okay.”
He helps you walk, calling for Elena as he nears the doorway. She opens it right as you reach the threshold. Immediately, your state pales her, “oh my god! What’s wrong with her?!”
“I don’t know! She said not to call the police, and she’s been coughing the whole way here.”
“Bring her inside, let’s-” Elena drops her sentence as she watches the scene before her. Matt had tried to bring you into the house, but an invisible barrier is keeping you out. “Y/N?”
“I’m sorry,” you mutter. “I…”
Matt tries again, but the doorway refuses your entry.
“Y/N,” Elena clears her throat, “please come in.”
This time, when Matt takes a step, you’re able to follow.
“No,” the girl is hit with a sudden, horrible realization. “No, no, no, no… it can’t. You can’t.”
“Elena, I’m sorry.”
“When?”
You take a deep breath, “this morning.”
Matt, Elena, and Jeremy all stare in shocked silence.
“Who turned you?” Jeremy finally asks. Matt already knows; tears fall from his eyes. “Matt?” The boy questions his friend.
Before you can answer, a voice from behind interrupts, “love?”
Your heart jumps when you hear your nickname. Unfortunately, though, the sudden change in your heartbeat makes you even weaker. “Kol? Are you here?” Against Matt’s wishes, you open your eyes.
“Love, I’m here. I’m sorry.”
“Oh my god!” You use the last bit of your energy to make it to his side. He’s on the floor, shallow breaths keeping him alive. You can tell, though, that he’s nearing his last. “Baby, what happened? What’s-” you look around for answers, but receive none. In a last ditch effort, you put your wrist to his lips, “come on, feed. Please.”
“It won’t work, sweetheart. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, I shouldn’t have…” he tries to take a deep breath, “shouldn’t have been selfish. Should’ve left you alone. Human.”
“No, no, no… Kol, I wanted it. Wanted you. I still do, and I always will. You can’t die on me. Please.” You bite your wrist anyway and let a few drops fall, “come on, please! You can’t die, and I don’t want to die, either.” Panic is taking over your body; tears fall faster, coughs are more frequent, hands shake violently.
Elena’s the first to intervene after the three piece the puzzle together. She rushes over to you, grabbing your shoulder, and biting her wrist. “Y/N, drink.”
“If it won’t work for me, it won’t work for her,” Kol mutters.
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” the girl pleads. “We didn’t know. I’m so sorry. Somebody call Stefan, now!”
Matt starts to fumble with his phone again, while Jeremy mutters that he’s going to call Bonnie.
You don’t answer either of them. Instead, you cup your best friend’s cheeks and lean down to kiss his lips. “I need you, Kol. I love you.” He kisses back, but he’s so weak that it’s as if he’s a ghost. “I’ve had this fantasy, I’ve wanted to share with you… us leaving together. Let everyone here find their stupid cure, raise Silas, whatever, because we’d be thousands of miles away. We could keep each other safe, and we wouldn’t have to deal with all the drama here anymore. I wouldn’t have to live in fear of losing you, and we could just be happy.”
“Love…” he blinks back a tear, “look at me.” You do, and he continues, “take a deep breath. Relax.” Immediately, you calm down until you’re content and listening to him. “I love you so much. I promise I’ll find you wherever we end up. If there’s any afterlife at all, I won’t stop searching until we’re together. But for now, I want you to be at peace, just until your spirit can move on. Let it rest, love. We’ll be okay.”
You nod, all panic eased, and lay down beside him. “I love you,” you repeat.
“There you go. I love you, too. We’ll find each other again.” He kisses your hand, and then his chest rises and falls one last time.
“Kol?” You know he’s gone, but can’t help but ask anyway. The silence tears your heart in two, but you don’t cry. You don’t cry, you don’t yell, you don’t even move. You just stare, stone cold on the outside, yet with a heart full of emotion.
“Y/N?” Elena gets your attention, “are you alright?”
“I’ll be okay.” You smile up at her, then look back down at Kol. “We’ll be okay.” A second later, you too, draw your last breath.

can i request a chrollo x reader where reader was one of his childhood friends back in meteor city, but she died (up to you how!) and he still dreams about her? possibly her appearance being grown to what chrollo imagines she’d look like now? only if you’re comfortable with the request ♡ i love your writing so much!
Remembrance
Characters: Chrollo Lucilfer Type: Angst, Oneshot, Fem!Reader
reader is basically Sarasa here...
Warnings: mentions of kidnapping?/death, description of a dead body, spoilers for Chrollo's background
Not a day goes by where Chrollo doesn't think about you.
You two were as thick as thieves, growing up together in the slums of Meteor City. Though you guys had nothing, you always managed to find ways to have fun and stay happy. Your beaming, bright smile is something that's stuck in the back of Chrollo's mind for all of these years. You used to stand up to the bigger kids who liked to pick on him, and in turn Chrollo helped you learn how to read and write.
Once you guys got a little older, Chrollo had started his little acting troupe, you being there to support him every step of the way. Though you weren't formally part of the group, you would tag along with them and managed to become good friends with the rest of them. One of the things Chrollo liked most about you was how kind you were. You were the sweetest girl anyone could possibly have the pleasure of meeting and he loved that about you.
Which is why he was infuriated after finding out what happened to you.
It wasn't unusual for child traffickers to make their way through meteor city, especially considering that none of it's residents have any sort of legal documentation. They just so happened to be passing through while you were exploring on your own. Being the ever naive little girl you were, you didn't think much when some men claiming to be refugees stopped you and asked for directions to the nearest normal city.
Out of the kindness of your heart, you led them to the outskirts of a forest and told them that the fastest way to modern civilization was to cut through it.
Your best quality ended up being your biggest weakness that day.
After catching wind of your disappearance, Chrollo and the troupe split up in order to try and find you. They searched the forest for hours and when they had finally found you, Chrollo's heart dropped to his ass. Your body was laying beneath a large willow tree, nearly mutilated beyond recognition while your lifeless eyes stared back at him, glazed over. Never in his life has Chrollo felt so many emotions at once the way he did in that moment.
In the years following your passing, Chrollo frequently had dreams of you. The pain they brought him left him restless. Even up until he had a hard time sleeping in fear of reliving those memories of you again.
After some time had passed, Chrollo became the renowned leader of the notorious gang The Phantom Troupe. Though the night terrors of you had stopped some time ago, Chrollo never forgot you. How could he? You meant everything to him.
Every so often he would visit your grave with a few of the original troupe members. Other times he would visit alone and tell you all about what has happened since you've been gone.
It wasn't up until recently had the dreams of you resurfaced, but this time they were different. They didn't bring immense pain or remind him of how you looked the day he found you dead, but rather images of what could've been had you survived. You appeared in his dreams all grown up, being much taller than you were before with h/c hair that was longer/shorter than he remembered. Many things about your appearance had changed, but one thing that stayed the same was your bright smile you'd always seemed to wear.
Upon having this dream for the first time Chrollo shot up from his slumber in a cold sweat. He looked around the room before bringing his hands to his face, resting his head in them as he let out a deep sigh. Knowing he couldn't return to sleep any time soon, Chrollo stepped out of the room of the hotel he'd rented onto the balcony, lighting a cigarette and leaning against the railing. He enjoyed the light breeze and sounds of the city beneath him, looking out over all the bright lights and night bustle.
His moment of peace was brief however, being interrupted by a voice he'd never heard before.
"I've missed you, Chrollo."
The addressed man whipped his head around in shock, only to see that there was no one behind him. Letting out another sigh, he rubbed his eyes and put his cigarette out before returning to his room, pondering on how he would spend the rest of his night.
The next few times he had these dreams they had only gotten worse. They would show him what could've been. The life he could've had. What you could've had. Who you could've been.
You, you, you, you, you.
It was driving him mad. Tonight like any other, Chrollo lied restless, staring towards the ceiling. The soft pitter patter of rain soothed him as he started to relax. Until he heard the voice again.
"Look, we're all grown up."
Similar to the first night he shot up from the bed he was in, eyes frantically scanning the room before resting on the image of you his brain had created, standing in the corner of the darkened room. Chrollo rubbed his eyes before staring at you again before you spoke up once more.
"How have you been?"
Chrollo grit his teeth before chucking his pillow at you, only for your image to disappear as it made contact with the wall. Letting out a grunt, his tensed shoulders went slack just to stiffen back up at the sound of you again.
"What is it you're afraid of Chrollo?"
You appeared in the center of the room this time, closer than before.
"Didn't you miss me?"
Tearing the blanket off of himself he reaches to grab you only for you to disappear and reappear again, this time directly behind him. This went on for a few minutes, you appearing, Chrollo trying to hit you, just for you to disappear and move to another part of the room.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"
