Skyrim is so much fun, I do not trust myself with this game. I get so immersed in the story. I sit down at night to play for an hour or two, and the next thing I know, it's four in the morning. It's like so much fun. It's like LoZ but I can get burnt out on LoZ and have to take a break for a couple of months. I don't get burned out on Skyrim because there's so much freedom. You can be as good or as evil as you want. Oh and all the marriage candidates are bisexual by default. ⚔️🌈 This makes me so happy.

Still thinking about diaries and I decided a couple things:

Romana stops keeping one after she leaves the tardis. It was kind of her thing with the Doctor and anyway nothing seems really exciting enough to write down in e-space, and certainly not on Gallifrey. And then Etra Prime happens and everything hurts way too much for any introspection whatsoever. But then Pandora happens and she needs an outlet but doesn’t trust anyone but herself. So she quietly buys a new 500-year diary to deal with her feelings. She keeps it in her pocket at all times, paranoid about anyone using it against her, so she has it on the axis and records in it her growing friendships with the others and all the bs they deal with on the various worlds. But then they get stuck on alt!Gallifrey and even keeping it on her is too great a risk, so she burns it.

Leela never saw the point in a diary. She learned to read and write on the tardis and saw the practicality in that, but she never read for fun and only wrote things down for practical purposes. She believed in experiencing the moment, not recording it for later. She carried this attitude onto Gallifrey—until Andred disappeared. Then she was utterly alone and in pain and no one cared to listen. K-9 was more frustrating than helpful, so she wrote to get all her rage out and, surprisingly, it helped her deal with her grief. She kept it up as things escalated until she was blinded, at which point she stopped. She could have kept an audio log but didn’t trust it to be secure and private. She didn’t bother with one on the axis even after her sight was restored—it felt more like when she was with the Doctor, experiencing things in the moment—but in Mancipia she took to writing down her loneliness and anger and then burning the pages to avoid the truth being seen.

It seems like it's as I suspected and that the characters of tevinters's nights represent factions in datv (Strife for the veil jumpers is confirmed, Antoine appears so him and Evka for the wardens) and for the lords of fortunes in the book there's the protagonist of one of my favorite stories and it's not said explicitly but they don't use any specific pronouns so they're probably some flavor of trans and all of this is to say that if they represent the lords of fortune that might be the occasion to talk about being trans

personally would really enjoy a dr who episode where the whirlwind single-episode romance (a la the girl in the fireplace) is between the companion and a historical figure instead of the doctor. And while the short-lived love story should be beautiful in its own right I think there should also be a moment of realization at the inevitable tragic end where the companion is like oh this is what love is like for you all the time.

so wait… furina is the name of the archon role that “furina” had to play

wouldn’t make more sense narrative wise to give her a name of her own?? like scara gets his own epic chapter about him ridding himself of his past and adopting a new name then proceed to ignore said name in favor of “hat guy” but the actress playing “furina” doesn’t get to be known for her own name?

like people of fontain (partly maybe) know the truth so why not let her free? let her enjoy the simple human life she so so longed for? even the other furina wouldn’t want this

bitching abt this seperately bc that post was more abt lack of wyll content and im soo livid about that but im also abysmally down bad for shadowheart and i just feel sooo insane about how undeveloped sm of her content is. after her romance scene + final quest it kind of feels like she's just there idk.. IDK IS IT CRAZY TO WISH THERE WAS MORE. id fucking killlll for 6 romance scenes with her, astarion you awful bitch. its just specifically insane to me bc her (and lae'zel) are probably the most central to the plot companions you can get in this?? like i fear theyre so deeply important to the story. AND THEY BOTH HAVE SUCH MEDIOCRE ORIGINS AS WELL?? ok well i havent gotten that far into lae'zels but shadowhearts (while i enjoy it a lot!!) has been so lackluster 😭 the nightsong scene with her was crazy im actually so confused why that part isnt voiced. idk it just feels insane to me they didnt cook this game a little longer.. we all woulda loved it despite the wait 💔

I gotta ask favourite doctor who era, doctor and companion?

hii. favorite era, well, RTD's for sure. never liked moffat or chibnall and what things i liked were too far in between. rtd is silly and writes characters like actual human beings with lives outside of the doctor. and of course, actually did interesting things with the doctor too besides having "mad genius" as a character trait. also i can't think of anything as singularly groundbreaking as creating jack harkness in 2005.

favorite doctor hmmm okay yeah pretend you didn't read the last paragraph. ready? okay my favorite doctor is twelve. but hear me out: for a LONG time my fave was ten because david tennant is just that ridiculously charming 15+ years after playing the doctor, plus i liked his story and arc and i cried BUCKETS when he regenerated (still can't listen to vale decem), had the best companions too and being the last of an era made me appreciate him more when eleven did nothing for me. so twelve right? he was still a moffat doctor and eleven had left me such a sour taste because we get it moffat, he's you and you get all the girls and you are a genius and nobody gets you; but peter capaldi was SUCH a good fit. i loved how irascible and dismissive he was, his reserve and the oodles of charm capaldi was able to turn into the best performance on who of the last 5 years. i'm not going to say i liked most of his storylines because i didn't (so now that the master is a woman you make up a romance subplot? really?) but the ones were he and jenna coleman bounced off each other made them good at the very least. and again, cried buckets. "doctor, i let you go" made me reckon with myself like "huh so you like dw again i guess". i really don't know what moffat put in the twelfth doctor but that's the only thing i give him. my third favorite is nine :)

favorite companionnnnn ROSE! rose tyler, only girl in the whole universe!!! maybe it was because i was in A Place in my life where i didn't know how my life was supposed to go, or what i was supposed to do but rose tyler, shop girl, age 19, gave me a lot of comfort. she lived with her mum, worked in a shop and had a lame ass boyfriend who preferred to watch football during their dates, OF COURSE she would go with the doctor! and event though the show doesn't condemn her choice i love that it showed how the little people rose left behind felt. from an outside pov it was an irresponsible decision (and i see that both moffat and chibnall think so too bc they had their companions put rules and Only see the doctor on tuesdays or smth.... it's a time machine!!! live a little!!) but rose just wanted to live. be different, better, greater than herself. to see who she was outside of being jackie tyler and her dead dad's daughter, outside of the council state and her boring lower-class life. and the thing was, rose didn't change at all (the doctor did!! quite literally!!), she just became more and i love her so much for it.
