I'm so sick of seeing Shein clothes on Vinted. The site is SATURATED like most of the clothes I see on there now are Shein. I refuse to buy Shein clothes, even second hand, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I see a cute shirt on my funky sustainable second hand site and then look down and see its Shein. I can't even explain the disgust. So done with this.

Keep getting pissed off & frustrated and now my stomach hurts

#SORRY im mad about my stupid college again #WHY do they require so many internhip hours??????#no wait i KNOW why. bc the chef who runs the program is EVIL AND STUPID #he literally thinks he as a chef is gods gift to this earth. he thinks CHEFS are gods gift to this earth but only if they agree with him.#however. gods gift to this earth do NOT deserve breaks. ('chefs dont get breaks' is a direct quote)#he thinks all chefs should work like dogs and SUFFER. and the industry should never change #and he loves the power of being the program head. (and most students' advisor)#and he can say im preparing you to be the best!!!!! and get away with it #and he doesnt respect pastry chefs. and guess what i am hahahah #like i know the culinary industry is toxic and most chefs are jerks. but bakeries are very different from restaurants #so i thought i could handle some jerky chefs during school and get my degree and go work in a bakery #(i can handle some jerky chefs)#the problem was that a jerky chef ran the program as if you were already working in the worst restaurant environment imaginable #and he only taught like everyone wanted to be world renown chefs of 5 star parisian restaurants that take 4 years to get a reservation #(which is crazy that he thinks hes qualified to get other people to that level but ok.)#and thats great for people who want that! but some people (me) just want a cute little bakery!#also ! its advertised as a 2 year associates program #which. is true that you'll only get an associates degree out of it #but 2 years is including summer semesters. sorry i don't think thats how that works. i think thats 3 years #2 years for people who decide to do extra and take summer semesters.#and i think the only realistic way to complete the internship hours is to take an off semester and only do the internship #so you're not doing it at the same time as classes #but that adds a minimum of 1 semester and maximum 2 #or if you cram the spring and fall semesters to have summer off and do the internship during summer #summer semesters are shorter. so youd have less weeks to complete the same amount of hours #it is simply not a 2 year program for the average person!!!!!!#i was IN COLLEGE FOR 2 YEARS!!!!!! AND I ONLY TOOK 1 (ONE) PASTRY CLASS!!!!!! I SHOULD'VE BEEN ABLE TO GRADUATE!!!!!!!!!!!#and what do you MEAN you expect me to be in college for 3 years and only get an associates degree out of it. no thank you #its almost like...... an associates degree requires 2 years of schooling........ and theres too much happening in this program.......#bc the man in charge of it is power hungry and wants to control people and thinks chefs need to be beat into shape.......

shout out to media ..... its really interesting to look at how graphics and layouts and stylisation develops over time and what influences it (lots of analysis in the tags)

#temtalk #i was comparing 1957 vogue to 2023 vogue #and u can see its very much based on pictures now #rather than back then it was lots and lots of words #esp in the first issues where it was so many paragraphs #and its also very fpcused on advertising despite when the article itself isnt #for example one on margot robbie (photoshoots n stuff for barbie) managed to work the branding into the little snippets of text #which ur bound to read bc of how small they are n how they stand out on the page #as being the only text so naturally ur gonna read them #its in the same paragrah no line break or anything #backstory on the image then BOOM brand name #and it has the brand name first which is interesting #like [brand] shoes rather than shoes by [brand]#bc if u were reading for backstory on the image itself u would see 'shoes' and stop reading #but by having thr brand first . boom . right in ur face wether u like it or not #which id obviously what a lot of advertising does bc yk. no one likes it. so they have to force it at u #also also also. i was considering #yk how tumblrs layout look so much like twt now #thats fascinating to me #bc why would u want to go with the crowd rather than maintain ur image which already sticks out somewhat #lots of social platoforms are looking more and more similar #which. is fascinating like i mentioned #bc being unique is a big part of marketing #so its probably playing to the popularity of twt? possibly hoping to draw in more users with a theme thye already recognise #which i mean. this is known as being a 'dead' website #heavy on the quotation marks #so maybe its a case of trying to revive it somewhat by pushing it into the crowd #even tho. its not dead #IDK IDK its all rlly interesting to me!!taking media in school at the moment #and im rlly enjoying it so

the part of me relentlessly scrutinized for being the family fuckup: but,,,,when i do good job customers like me,,,,when i do extra managers think i’m the best,,,,

#bird noises #work sucks in a lot of ways #it’s just food service nothing special and it will destroy my body eventually #but also it is genuinely better for my mental health to just. get positive feedback and interact with people in a nice way #i havent really had any terrible customers yet. the occasional grumpy or kinda rude one but nothing i cant shake off in a second #that probably helps #its funny bc my parents notice the difference and its like GEE I WONDER HOW ELSE THIS COULD HAVE OCCURRED #PERHAPS IF THE HUMANS I LIVE WITH WERE ALSO NICE TO ME #but alas……#anyway thinking about this bc i accidentally volunteered myself to do two people’s closing tasks and that sucked #but my manager said im amazing soooooooooo maybe it was worth it #i’m gonna fight whoever’s in charge of their advertising tho for saying they have a ‘competitive wage’#which is $3-4 less than the nearby ‘good’ places money-wise AND ALSO. exactly the same or less than what people were making at this location #THREE YEARS AGO #which i know because i worked here. making $2.50 less. but i talked to the new hires and found out they made a good chunk more #we do get tips which is like an extra $1-1.50 so thats nice but its not competitive my friend #its barely acceptable #theyre lucky no one else would hire me #also pisses me off bc their main website advertises their starting wages as ACTUALLY competitive but c’est la vie #i’m in a weird situation where i need to Be Employed more than i need money per se so i’m fine with it for now #wren stop talking about panera challenge
