Fun fact: The section of the stomach closest to the esophageal sphincter is named the “cardia” (as in cardiac) because it’s the closest part of the stomach to the heart.

The bottom portion of the esophagus passes directly by the heart. But the stomach itself is separated from the heart by the diaphragm, which separates the digestive organs and the respiratory organs into different body cavities.

But even with the diaphragm in between, endoscopy footage shows that our heartbeats are clearly visible through the stomach wall in the “cardia” area.

Heather and Alejandro are both characters who deeply value how others view them, and who long for love and approval, albeit differently. THAT'S why Noah is perfect for both of them. Because his love is unconditional.

Heather and Alejandro don't have to be extraordinary for Noah to care about them. They don't have to be the best for him to love them.

What does it matter if Alejandro isn't better than José when Noah doesn't care about José ? What does it matter if Heather's not the most popular person when Noah doesn't give a shit about social hierarchies ?

There is kindness in Noah's apathy and bluntness. Strange and unconventional, but kindness all the same. And that becomes a sort of safe space for Heather and Alejandro, because they're just people to him. There is no expectations for them, they have nothing to prove. They can be flawed, they can fail, they can be mean. Noah loves them because they are them and that's enough for him !

Happy EO3 Anniversary!

We initially planned on revamping our character lineup, something that my wife @anoldwishbone had wanted to do for some time. However, given our busy schedules, we ended up going with a tarot motif for both Gutrune and Seyfried, eventually only having enough time for Gutrune.

There’s something so intimate with seeing another disabled person in public. I was walking down the street with a friend to a cafe, my red cane in hand. Coming down from the opposite street was a young women with her friend. I saw her bedazzled cane, covered in stickers and art then looked up to her eyes. She had been looking at my cane, covered head to toe in stickers, before looking up to me. We both smiled and kept walking.But with no words spoken there was a message.

“You’re just like me. We are both here, living our lives, walking with a friend like everyone else. We exist, not just online but here in person, we are not alone.”
