since its day 14 and that can be interpreted as a lucky number, I'm starting a new reblog thread for my Renew LMK drawings

beginning with this angsty shadowpeach concept that lives in my brain and sends unsolicited emotions to the mailbox:

Macaque, the CURRENT Macaque, from the present, encountering a Sun Wukong from before the Havoc in Heaven, maybe even pre-brotherhood SWK. And I'm not talking about any Amnesia Rules deal either, I mean straight up time/dimension travel, but!!

It's temporary. Macaque only gets to be there for a short while before he gets zorped back to the present

todays drawing was EXTREMELY last minute- literally I was bent over the bench in the locker room doing this with my work marker instead of the colored pencils bcuz I spent literally the en-TIRE time zipping around frantically trying to get about 3x my usual number of to-do list items done, because delivery service to the factory for our materials apparently do not vibe with the concepts of 'arrive at the time headquarters requests you do, or at LEAST on the same day'

I was originally planning to draw PIF or Red Son today since I did DBK yesterday, but then *gestures in despair* happened and it seemed more fitting to draw MK in the middle of a panicked delivery rush

ONLY 2 OF WHICH WERE *SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP TODAY*#for context accepting deliveries is a several-step process involving many safety rules involving locking heavy machinery which alone takes #like 10 minutes. then u gotta actually drive a special unicorn forklift (no really) down a long truck trailer to retrieve the materials #which is like a 20-ish min thing at minimum #AND THEN once the materials are OFF the truck u have to laaaabel them all :) and then sort/put them away :)#(these materials are approx 9 ft across and heavy enough they could literally crush u if one tipped over on u)#which is another 20 minutes minimum #BUT u have to stop what ur doing anytime the factory production line supply starting points is about to run out and replenish that ish #which happens like every 30 mins. and 10 minutes of that 30 will be spent readying the next one.#literally THE ONLY times i've been able to get a truck received/unloaded at all once is when something elsewhere on the line fucking BREAKS #and they shut the whole thing down until they fix it #oh and OF COURSE night shift did NOT refill the gas tank on ur main forklift so u need to somehow pull an extra 12 mins STRAIGHT OUT UR ASS #to get that done because u literally can't do 90% of ur job description without a functioning lift #hhhhhhrrrrRRRghgRRRghRRRRRRRRRGGGH #“better late than never” NUH UH BITCH if u show up DAYSSS late make urself someone else's problem plz

rotating shadowpeach dynamics and angst in my brain and wound up drawing a Peter Pan-ish AU, ft. Sun Wukong as Pan and Macaque as Captain Hook

this was mostly inspired by what I've heard about the original Peter Pan being a little darker in some areas than expected - basically take the shadowpeach backstory of 'events outside our monkey bros control force distance between the two besties, SWK basically rolls with the punches and SEM does NOT leading to one ugly blowout of a fight that permanently fucks up the bromance' and apply Peter Pan lore:

Mac becomes Wukong's tagalong/lost boy/BFF when Smol, but as time goes on, he grows up and SWK does NOT, losing interest in the friendship and sending Mac into a panic. He desperately tries to hold onto their friendship and chase after SWK, but that just backfires when Wukong lashes out. Down a hand and an eye, Macaque becomes obsessed with vengeance and continues trying to catch/kill SWK, growing up into a ruthless pirate captain

something that was just tugging on me with this idea is that in this AU, SWK's character growth basically gets surgically removed on account of the 'permanently an immature child' thing, and WOW yeah that part of the Peter Pan lore is kinda underused for angst wtf
