New OC: Josias!

A totally unserious, always up to no good priest. You'll either love or hate his boisterous and wiseass personality. He worships the god of fun (aka chaos), so can you really blame him if he tries to stir some pots and cross lotsa wires?

Obviously not a demon in disguise! NOPE!!!

A short bio of him under the cut!

A lowly priest who likes to spread mischief and mess with everyone he meets. He assures us that it's part of his job.

"Human" (demon in disguise) Name: Josias Age: ≈130 (appears to be around 50) Pronouns: He/him Gender: Male Height: 6'6" Build: Muscular (lean)

Josias is one of the few priests local to the village of Red Creek and he stands out by being pretty much the least "priest-like" of the lot.  He's more akin to a bum who hangs around the monastery with the hobby of annoying the hell out of everyone by being an insufferable wiseass most of the time. Fortunately for him, he has enough charm (and agility) to avoid the people he inevitably riles up from strangling him...mostly. Let it be said that this impish priest has taken several fists to the face in his tenure at the otherwise sleepy rural village.

That's just how it is with Josias: you either liked him for his quick wit and funny quips or hate him for those very same reasons.

His deity of choice is Lotharin, the god of fun. Also known as the god of chaos in academic circles. Josias prefers the "fun" interpretation though.

In truth, Josias is a demon. He was raised by a mortal couple who chanced upon him in their travels when he was but an infant. Seeing it as a blessing from the gods (absolutely delusional btw), they chose to treat the demonic child as their own and showered him with love. As such, he sees himself as more kin to them than to his infernal ancestry. He choses to take on the guise of a human not so to deceive people but more so as a means of keeping himself from getting ran through with pitchforks. He's gotten lax on this though and allows certain aspects of his true form to show—his tail most prominently. The villagers and his peers just see it as a Josias thing and doesn't really question it too much.

Josias has had a pretty chaotic life, the most recent highlight being his romantic affair with the previous pope. Said pope's death and the mysterious circumstances surrounding it may be the reason why he's laying low in the far-flung countryside.

Neglecting his two apprentices

Babysitting children (he's actually the godfather to quite a few of them; the blue ribbon on his tail was tied there by a nephew of his actually)

Dealing with other priests of Lotharin. The ones who prefer the chaos aspect of the god mostly.

Demons. "They're very dangerous!" he says.
