Help I began thinking about Alphonse so here’s a bit about him:

- He grew up in a noble family who always taught him emotions were bad, hence he becomes a stone-faced husk (his way of dealing with trauma that gets passed down to his son)

- When he left to join the military camp at age 12 and made some friends he started to heal though

- Age 17 he joins the military and learns how to be agressive in specific situations, and so he has little tolerance for people’s bull (at least when it comes to his job)

- He met Link’s mother when he was stationed in Fort Hateno at age 18. They had rushed into a relationship too soon, got married, and had Link in about a span of a year (blinded by young love). They get a divorce three years later due to Alphonse’s position in the military having him moved around

- But they were able to have split custody of Link, and he was able to take Link all over Hyrule with him (including Zora’s Domain)

- At 25 he was promoted to royal guard, but got the night shift so during the day he could raise Link (seriously, this man gets no sleep)

- Link’s mother remarries Hateno’s blacksmith, and has a daughter two years later (when Link was 8 years old)

- Link spent most of his time with his father due to wanting to pursue swordfighting

- When Link was 12, before he got the Master Sword Alphonse dies due to an accident with his royal guard weapon breaking during an attack, so he self sacrificed himself (leading Link to go to the same military camp Al went and then finding the Master Sword from there)

- But don’t cry because in the Age of Calamity timeline Alphonse doesn’t die (because everything is different in that game) and actually lives. During the Calamity he meets a Gerudo woman and marries her finally healing him from marital trauma he had and maybe also having a daughter hehe

Danny had been around Gotham for a while.

The crime was never ending, but since Batman's arrival, it had gotten better.

The unmistakably CLANK! From around the corner had him jump, wary now. The man walks around the wall, eyes on the black car with— with Batman's symbol at the front.

A child sitting on the ground with a car tire next to him, the Bat Symbol a stark contrast to the shadows.

"Shit, kid. You're bold to rob Batman." Danny didn't really realise he was speaking until the kid looks up, spooked.

"What the fuck?" The kid was clearly of Gotham breed, yelps with a glare.

"I'm impressed," Danny doesn't give the kid the chance to talk, not with the way the tiny terror seems to be glaring and holding his wrench.

"You're quick, got eyes for details and know how to work around cars."

The suspicion in the kids eyes didn't lessen, having gotten up to press himself against the wall, eyes never leaving Danny.

"Here," Our local spook threw a card on the hood of the car. It was his business card.

"If you need income with far fewer risks than stealing from Batman, call me."

He didn't really wait to see the kids reaction, just leaving, bot before shooting a look into the sky the kid clearly caught.

As danny left, the kid looked at the entrance of the alleyway, back to the car, and then to the card.

They had talked for too long. Jason had to leave now, lest Batman actually caught him.

With one last look to the tires and the car, he leaves eith a scowl.

Just barely missing the man with the cape.

okay but fiddleford was raised christian, is from a small town in the bible belt, AND lived in the 80s do you understand how much internalized homophobia this man must've had. like yeah he was super obvious about his feelings for ford, but god knows he was never gonna SAY anything -- how could he??

he's a married man. he's a father. willing to go out-of-state for work, sure, but he'd never hurt them like that. he never could. and even aside from everything previously mentioned, ford was his first and likely one of his only friends, he wouldn't wanna ruin that for some dumb fantasy. no, fiddleford just has to focus on being a better partner. that's all this is, and that's all it ever will be. he just needs to get that through his skull, and stop thinking about ford so damn much.

thankfully, he's gotten over most that stuff by now. ain't nothing gonna make mcgucket be ashamed of being himself anymore, but you sure as hell can try.

Here, in a last plea for mercy, he reaches out not to God in his perfect hatred, but to his fellow angels, that they might deliver him from such evil. Soon after, however, he would be cast down to Hell with all his followers, with only Michael coming to bind him.
