#had to fix this one before posting it#was supposed to be included in the last post - but didn’t exactly fit with the other images thematically#this building/sector is at the mouth of the entire park — I think it’s spot that manufactures/cans/pumps compressed natural gas?? not 100%#and it’s LOUD. not this building specifically but the 4 dozen other factories and assembly plants that operate on this block#similar noise level to working ground services at an intl airport; the passive noise level is somewhat-distant jet engine at best#hard to capture that aspect in the image — I should do a field recording tho#anyways yeah - it’s fun to drive through the heart of the park at night and listen to the whirrs and groans of machinery#I want to capture more but obv being oblique with a camera in this area or making frequent passes warrants a little more sensitivity#I do not want to deal with cops OR well-meaning-but-misguided working class folk who open carry to their shift at Dangerous Chemicals INC#my art#webcore#internetcore#glitchcore#artists on tumblr#night photography#distortion#noise#art#y2kcore#abstract art#glitch aesthetic#artwork#abstract#industry#infrastructure#machinery

i just randomly felt like doing a render since i havent done those frequently at all this year www and who else would it be of if not yuu

A LOT around when i was 14 to 15??? like before i really started posting frequently here#and before the fibromyalgia randomly kicked in mid 2022#since then i pretty much just indulged in staying in my comfort zone www since i couldnt do much#BUT NOW THAT IM ON MEDS I SIT DOWN AND I REMEMBER I CAN RENDER🫣🫣#like ive been drawing a lot all this time regardless but render render is a whole other patience thing render is fight for life#AND I DIDNT FEEL LIKE IT TILL NOW RANDOMLY SO. WE GET A PROPER YUU RENDER#i think ive done one once but it was experimental and a simple challenge mainly based on color rather than the render part#but no no it couldnt stay that way what kind of rekinder fan am i if i havent even done a proper render of it😢#i hope this makes sense i now realize i have no idea how people would interpret the term render#and I WILL DO MORE DEFINITELY i have visions okay i have. visions#wait no i have done another rekinder render actually it was a hiroto one i posted while i was trying to do daily rekinder drawing#but that was done on a 1-2 hour limit to be started and finished the same day SO IT DONT COUNT!!!!!

#im posting this very late because i was sort of weary of how it came out and ended up messing w it until it was like 4am oops.#and i have plans tmrw so... oh well! i did my best and ill put it out while i can!#and i tried to make the scene match barnard's colors lol#finn's ocs#finn's art#i know i said id do more sillay stuff with the simpler screentone only style but i had a couple more of these in me#and this is the first piece im making thats like an actual part of the story too rather than just setting stuff for fun#i wanna write something to go with it too but for now ill just sort of briefly explain the context in the tags here:#barnard has a pretty bad case of OCD and his compulsions have made it difficult to make friends in the past#he was never outright bullied or anything but people just didnt really have the patience to deal with it#he has compulsions that include stuff like walking through doors until it feels right and needing things to be perfectly aligned#which in group settings has lead to people having to wait for him to finish his rituals and join them#they might find it tolerable at first but eventually they grow impatient and hes just... not invited to stuff anymore#but juno is a newer member of the guild who ends up frequenting the same library. hes also kinda a little weird#and they dont become fast friends or anything but just sort of naturally spend time in the same place#though they never plan meetups they eventually fall into a routine. around the same time theyd just both be at the library#and read next to each other. and maybe talk a bit. and eventually they end up walking back to the guildhall together#since theyre going to the same place after all. and juno always waits for barnard outside the door#eventually barnard asks if this bothers him. juno kinda just tells him 'of course it does' without any malice or anything. just a statement#barnard is surprised and apologizes and juno says not to. but the next day juno doesnt show up at the usual time.#barnard assumes hes committed somekinda more by bringing it up. he ends up staying there late reading to get his mind off it & not ruminate#but when he leaves juno is in fact still waiting for him down the hall (see pic) having collected a bunch of books literally abt ocd#he fell asleep bc barnard stayed later than expected. and hes an eepy guy generally. and also one very bad at expressing himself#but now barnard gets that juno's 'of course it [bothers me]' had the implication of 'but its worth it' which no friend has previously done.#and from the interaction juno was also able to understand that this isn't something barnard just does for the hell of it so. he studies.#and checks a bunch of stuff out because he thinks it could help his friend too (theres ocd workbooks and such- i remember working w them)#and thats the point where they became more ''friends'' than ''pleasant library acquaintances''#from there on they also do get into juno's problems. whole other bag of worms. but this specific scene is more about bernard from his pov#sorry about when i said briefly explain. i lied </3#but compared to the whole sequence im picturing its brief so shhh

Guys, please, Tango doesn't consider himself a builder in the same way Michelangelo might not consider himself a painter* (see tags). You can accept you're very good at two things, and still consider yourself better at one over the other. It's not negative talk when he calls himself a redstone guy.
#tangotek#* Michelangelo was definitely good at painting but his preference was sculpture. Painting commissions were more frequent and profitable.#I don't know if this is the best example because it's difficult to parse exaggeration and fact#About historical figures in general especially artists and their personal feelings about their own art#and he definitely wouldn't have put a very strong divide between his skill sets because like.#You can see how much working and studying 3D space helped him create such life-like people in a 2D painting.#But I think Decked Out is a good example of harmony of skills too#The building part of game design and the coding part needed each other to create Decked Out 2#My point here is#That we can't ask Michaelangelo if he considers himself a sculptor or painter#Because he's dead and also may not have an actual answer himself#But we can ask Tango! And he says he's a redstoner not a builder. And that's ok :)#Dear God this entire set of tags sounds like pretentious rambling but I'm gonna post it anyway bc I hope people see past me comparing#a beloved Renaissance artist to a Block Game Guy#and take time to reflect on how an artist might interpret themselves vs how their audience sees them thru the lense of their work.

i'll take a moment to thank, from the bottom of the heart, all the friends and the people i don't even follow for leaving tags on my art. special shoutouts to those who share thoughts about it and compliment my designs. you have no idea how much that means to me
#if you've followed me for a while. i say this frequently. but because i need people to remember#i know people who reblogged my latest art for the poseidon design don't follow me#but some comments i read on it brought me joy. people who say my designs are great. who see things i myself didn't even consider#they get a special thanks. it's stupid. once my internship starts. if it does anyway. if all goes decently. i'll stop having time for mysel#i'll stop having time for art. because i'll have to follow the house and family drama bullshit while also working pretty much#which is something i've never done. working i mean. so i'm scared#but i'm even more scared as stupid as it sounds. that i'll stop being creative. and that i'll stop drawing altogether#it's a thought that has brought me to tears multiple times lately. i know it might not be the case. but i know that life will require me to#step away from art and fully embrace what i studied instead. against my real will but that's details#anyway. i digress. the post is and will stay about being grateful for the people sparing good and kind words on my art#i treasure all of them. january was a burst of inspiration because my head knows i won't be able to be this way and have this time anymore#and it's been shooting me down a lot. but these tags remind me that at least for the time i've been here#for the time i've given art and taking my chances sharing it here. the words prove me it was all worth it#so i'm grateful. to all the people who have supported me and spared nice words. mutuals followers and nonfollowers alike#i don't think people realize how much their words meant to me. so i like to remind people#even if this reaches nobody and even if it's just me talking to myself at 1 am for my timezone anyway

unfortunately following a blog here doesnt mean much to me anymore since i most frequently just check tags when i want to see something spesific rather than scroll thru my whole timeline
#me following somebody and immedietly forgetting their existence since they dont really post under whatever tags that currently interest me#before i made a tumblr account waaay back i would just go to spesific blogs i found pretty to check what they post for a long time#mostly fashion/aesthetic stuff at the time#i still go to spesific blogs sometimes like its a website to check on something spesific (but i dont follow them? idk why lol)#i guess i was a blog reader and a frequent (fandom) forum visiter/poster before i found tumblr and it happened to somewhat allign with thos#habits. yall are still blogs to me not accounts ^^#i used have two separete tumblr accounts one for more art stuff/traditional paintings one for just fandom things (zayn hehe)#i think thats why i dont scroll much anymore because when i want to see something here i just want to see that. not varied other stuff#i would curate my basic art blog on my account on laptop and just scroll on my empthy fan account on my phone to check up on things#i always say this one good thing about twitter is being able to have seperate timelines/following list/likes for your different accounts#that you can switch easily from your current device!!! let me curate my timeline more goddamit lol
