2: Due to the most popular (BY FAR) python on the market being a ball python, I’m going with him buying a juvenile Ball Python impulsively. Ball Pythons are actually a very good beginner snake (I have one! Her names Melon <3), but they’re NOT something you should get on a whim, no live animal is. Ball Pythons need high humidity with high heat, a very hard balance to keep due to the heat burning away the water. They require a lot of effort to up the humidity if you live in a low humidity environment, which shouldn’t be as bad (roughly 40% interior) considering Gotham is a coastal town, but you’d still need a lot of effort to keep that cage humid. Theres, of course, the whole rodent thing. As well as a whole host of other issues. William Snakespeare should be fine considering Damian exists and isn’t an idiot but I cannot stress enough that anyone who isn’t thoroughly educated around an animal SHOULDNT BY THAT ANIMAL. THAT IS A WHOLE ASS LIFE IN YOUR HANDS, TREAT IT AS SUCH

Anyway this is a long ass rant, I just need to make it clear that you should not, under any circumstances, impulse buy a living creature unless you are able to set up a good environment and give it all it needs THE SAME DAY YOU GET IT. That means that unless youre an expert, DO NOT IMPULSE BUY A CREATURE WITH A LIFE!!!! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING WITH THE LITERAL LIFE YOUVE PUT IN YOUR HANDS

This isn’t any attack on you, I just feel extremely strongly on this considering how pets are treated (and regularly abused) worldwide. A ball python isn’t a thing you can just buy and leave alone. It will slowly suffer and possibly die. This is an animal that grows to 5 feet long, put them in an 120 gallon (that’s 4 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet btw) enclosure and give them hides, heat and a tropical environment, and feed them for the appropriate times for their age/weight (ranges from a week to a month). If you do that (which isn’t that hard under normal circumstances, just can be expensive), you’ll have a happy and healthy Ball Python

Danny commits to the Bit a bit too hard...

So! For the first few weeks after his accident, whenever Danny would try to help the people of Amity Park, he would be treated as a Villain.

No matter if he had just defeated the Big Bad of the Week or saved a Cat from a tree, everybody in town only saw him as a Monster or Villain to he feared and hunted down. Danny was really getting sick of trying to get them on his side, until Sam made a suggestion.

"Why not just...play into it?" She said, barely looking up from painting her nails.

It was just an offhand suggestion, but it stuck with Danny. Why shouldn't he lean into it? The people of Amity Park already saw Ghosts as Evil, and they already assumed he was in cahoots with the Ghosts attacking the town. Why shouldn't he just...play into it?

So he does just that.

From that day on, whenever Phantom was spotted he would dramatically monologue about his Evil Plans, or claim that another Rogues attack on the City was his own act of terror.

Box Ghost destroys the towns Warehouses? It was on his orders.

Ember mind controls masses of Teenagers? All part of his Plans somehow.

Every Adult in Town is kidnapped by Young Blood? Danny gave them over to a friend as a Gift.

He crafts an identity for himself as the most Vile and Horrible Ghost that has ever attacked the City, using his own infamy to cement his legend even more firmly. The town only sees a Monsterous Villain, who has eveded capture near effortlessly for months on end, who constantly attacks their City and gets away with it.

Of course he still needs an excuse for how his plans keep getting stopped, and he gets it when his girlfriend Valerie becomes the Red Huntress. Before that, he just claimed infighting or the Fentons getting lucky, but Valerie becoming the Town's Hero meant he had a plausible excuse for how he kept getting "Foiled".

Val was suspicious, because she was not as involved as Phantom painted her to be, but in the end she had no proof of him faking his defeats. And she couldn't come up with any explanations for why he would do that in the first place. I mean, who would fake being a Supervillain? It had to he something else.

This did come back to bite him a while later, when the Justice League decided that enough was enough, and dispatched Justice League Dark to recruit Red Huntress and help Deal with him.

Coincidentally, that was the same day Pariah Dark attacked the Mortal Realm and sucked Amity Park into the Ghost Zone.

And honestly? Danny had spent over a Year proclaiming himself as a Villain who commanded Ghosts to attack the Human Realm, and he had heard about the Right of Conquest being Absolute in the Ghost Zone, so why not make it official? Why not overthrow the Ghost King, become the Ghost King, and cement his identity as a Villain while also forbidding Ghosts from entering the Human Realm without his permission?

He may have gotten a bit carried away and forgotten that the Villain thing was a disguise...but hey! He was still preventing Ghost Attacks! ...mostly. That's got to count for something right?

He may have let the Bit run a bit too far...

Eddie’s live-streaming, just chattering away about nothing in particular when Steve comes into the room. Hes holding his phone away from his face, frowning at it before rolling his eyes.

The phone is not on speaker but you can clearly hear the lecture that’s Steve’s ignoring when he turns to Eddie and gives him that smile that gets him everything he wants, “Hi, baby.”

Just because Eddie is aware that he’s being played, doesn’t mean he doesn’t love the game, “Stevie, do you want something?”

“Nothing big,” Steve nods. “Just the number of that lawyer you have on retainer.”

The audience at home can visually se Eddie’s brain come to a screeching halt, “I don’t have a lawyer. My recons label has a lawyer.”

“Yeah, that’s fine.”

Eddie leans in and whispers, “…What did you do?”

“Nothing, yet,” Steve replies, dropping the act all together. “My lawyer says she won’t defend me if I get arrested. Traitor.”

Oh, yeah. That is definitely Erica’s voice lecturing him on the phone. Cool. Eddie nods to himself, “Arrested for what?”

“I’m going to throw a rock through our neighbor’s window.”

There’s a beat where Eddie realizes he’s serious and is like, “Is that a reasonable response to a guy accidentally backing his truck into our flower bed.”

“No, we’re pass that,” Steve says over his shoulder, leaving both Eddie and his phone behind. “I’m going to burn down his house though.”

Eddie shakes his head, looks back at his live-stream but then hears a sound and is like, “Was that front door? Did he leave? Shit.”

And then Eddie’s gone.

Instead of talking about the powers that be, it's so Personal Choice up in here. It's, "well you shouldn't have done it then. Holy cow there’re a lot and I really do mean A LOT of Welcome Home AUs, and more coming too. Not saying it’s a bad thing, but it makes sense considering WH doesn’t have a lot to work with so it leaves tons of room for fans to play around with. I just hope it doesn’t get outta hand like what happened to Undertale with its AUs.

I love making OCs, and this rewrite will inevitably have a lot of them, or at least a good handful of them. I'll write out a list and make little blurbs for each of them—the skeleton of the characters, if you will! Aleron/Morgan le Fay: The main protagonist of the rewrite that's a celestial-faerie hybrid. She's the former princess of the Kingdom of Tintagel that becomes a traveling mage that lives for thousands of years. She's the oldest companion of Meliodas and the main alchemist/doctor of the group. Also the stocker of the Boar's Hat. Prior to that, she's usually the royal court mage of kingdoms. Rhiannon/Igraine Pendragon: The mother of Aleron, the wife of Gorlois and the older sister of Avalon. Once was considered the best of the Goddess mages, but she died during the war. She gets reincarnated as Igraine le Fay many, many centuries later and marries Uther Pendragon to have their son, Arthur Pendragon. The memories of her past are restored early in her life, and she was the one who hired Aleron as her own personal royal court mage—a counter to Merlin and simply to have her daughter from another life closer to her. Gorlois: The father of Aleron and the husband of Rhiannon. He was once remarked as a great king, and a remarkable battle tactician. He was friends with Gloxinia until the faerie king deflected to the demons. Gorlois survived the war and died when he reached old age. Avalon: The younger sister of the dearly departed Rhiannon. A Goddess warrior that lives and breathes the path of the blade. She sealed her soul in the body of birds, living on for thousands of years. She harbors a deep hatred for demons. Eventually, she wound up in a pet shop in the Kingdom of Rheged and purchased by King Urien due to her beautiful feathers. Bavmorda: One of the best mages around. She was one of the many teachers Aleron has had. Not much is known about her, but she has a deep seated fear of her former student and vowed to kill her. Kilia: The younger sister of Ban, and a beast-man. She was thought to be dead when Ban couldn't find her, but she miraculously survived thanks to unlocking her ability to shapeshift into a human. Kilia lives on to prosper and eventually leaves Ravens behind to pursue a career in helping others, like how her big brother always did for her. She'll either become a nurse or a schoolmaster for young children. Shivani: A vampire that acts on her own. Not trusting Izraf, she deflected to build her own kingdom of vampires. She tries to marry a human king the same time Aleron became the royal court mage in the same kingdom. Eventually, they go from enemies to frenemies (She was once fused with Kilia as a character, but I decided last minute it's better if they were two separate ones). Urien Rheged: The human king of Rheged and the younger brother of King Lot of Lothian. He hired Aleron as a royal court mage, and finds himself going through the seven stages of grief when he's charmed by the stoic mage who could care less about the human. It's a one-sided hate-love relationship. He disliked Arthur Pendragon when he first ascended to the throne, but eventually became one of his closest allies and friends, often involving himself in any wars or affairs with Camelot. Dinah: A mischievous beast-man crow that Aleron saved from hunters a decade before the main story. She becomes loyal to the hybrid and refers to her often as master, even though Aleron told her many times not to call her that. Usually she stays a small crow and perches on Aleron's shoulder or staff, opting to stick with the mage at all times. She becomes the unofficial familiar of the mage.

She gets way more screen time and recognition than Sam has been getting. Didn’t they also make her their Twitter pfp? Sorry to bother with my maple tree questions (again), but I was just wondering what books you’d recommend for me to become more familiar with England’s tree ecology? 👀 i… I feel rather silly having to look up “do maple trees / apple trees / insert plant life here exist in northern England” every time I want to talk about the spring flowers :;

But also if I don’t describe the native plant life changing then what am I to write about in the heavy silence that follows awkward questions I just gotta talk about the whirlybird seeds falling a hair too early for the season or I’ll turn into a puddle

A really good intro to the types of flora you'll see in England can be found by visiting Woodlandtrust.org.uk! They do education on woodlands specifically, so I use them a lot when I'm writing about ThunderClan territory.

From there, I take a tree they're talking about and try to read more about it, then use iNaturalist to confirm if it's in my modeled region. There are also times I work backwards, using iNaturalist to browse the sorts of trees and flowers that exist here and learning more about how they got there, and if the cats would have it in their territory.

For the non-woodland biomes, I find Wildlifetrusts.org helpful sometimes. Sadly though, this site is not nearly as well managed as Woodland Trust and there's some dead links, so I find that researching rivers, moorland, and bogs is harder.

I think I've got forest ecology research down to a good science, but the other biomes, I have to tap into my search engine skills. It's probably a symptom of how non-forest biomes kinda tend to get neglected by casual conservationists. LOVE YOUR LOCAL WETLAND, GOD DAMN IT
