🖊🖊 + Rin and Asami? 👀

I have multiple AUs for Rin in which she and Dabi aren’t villains and actually have nice childhoods… I always struggle with which set up would work best for her in a non villain role, so here’s some of them: part of the hero course with Toya tho still not a ‘good girl’ - more doing it because she was made to, part of the business course at UA and was bumped up a year because of her intelligence (met Toya and Kiego because news spread quickly around the school about a ‘hot nerd on the business course causing trouble’, met Toya when he was on a work study with Endeavor and her family were still criminals so she was caught up in the attack! Plus like childhood friends AU etc

There’s lots more AUs that float around in my head but one of my faves is a different meeting between the 2. Instead of when they’re older and already on shady paths, I like to think Rin would be another child chosen by All for One to be his successor and kept in this ‘facility’ for potential Shiggy replacements… so during Toya’s escape after he woke up from his 3 year coma, Rin escaped at the same time due to his fire destroying the place, but caught sight of him and wanted to help a fellow victim essentially. They live on the streets together for a while and get really close, and I’m undecided on if they go down their villain path or just stick it out being little shits but I like the still fragile and scared Toya meeting a young and frightened Rin who decide to help each other!

I saw a head canon about Kirishima giving children he rescues little pebbles to help distract them from the pain/chaos and now I’m OBSESSED with it!! I like to think Asami does a similar thing and gives the children one of her beads from her hair so they can watch the mist float around inside, rather than at the danger around them!

Asami takes part in almost all the clubs her classmates start, including Class B’s! Her favourites are the Horror Club and Art Club, but she enjoys all of them. On Sundays it’s Baking Club with Sato and he teaches her a new recipe, and if the dorms are quiet enough (ie no one is around to see/watch) Bakugo will join too, either to learn or to be the taste tester! In memory of Midnight, Asami continues to teach Eri as many art related things as possible and goes to draw with her as often as possible! (PS: she also gave Eri a bunch of her old art supplies when she moved into the dorms - with a promise to create with her all the time! Aizawa was wholesomely proud of his adoptive daughter(s))

Oh look, it seems like there's a Republican-led movement to purge voter rolls in the lead-up to the election! It's almost as if your vote matters and they don't want you to vote! Anyway, I whipped up a quick map (based on this) that shows when the voter registration deadline is in each state. There are a few deadlines coming up in the next week or so.

If you live in a state that regularly purges voter rolls for infrequent voters (the orange ones in the first map), or if you moved recently, it's good to check if you're still registered to vote.

Vote.org makes it super easy to check your registration: https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/

Just put in your address and DOB and they'll tell you whether you're registered. (And they give you a quick link to register online if it turns out that you're not! Only the 9 states in white on my map don't have online registration, and for those they provide instructions on how to do it via mail or in person.) If you want an extra verification, find your state's election website and double-check there.

So yeah, give yourself peace of mind -- do a quick check. :)

i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.
