Also, mom gave Chara her body? That does sound like something she would do. She feels like it's her mission to bring happiness to the Chara's of the multiverse. My other mom is the same way, just with Frisk's.

Frisk: "Yeah, she visited me and was really awesome, and gave me those wonderful wings, she didn't stay long though...probably because I'm already pretty happy,"

Asriel: "Yeah, you're weirdly easy to please, which is hilarious when you think about that dumb stereotype about all teenagers being 'cranky and overemotional',"

Frisk: "Aww well, I can get a little overemotional,"

Asriel: "You're not wrong," he then looks to Sol "Frisk once sobbed for two hours when we found baby birds that fell from their nest, even after they climbed up the tree and put them back in,"

Frisk: "They were so small and soft and helpless, I couldn't not cry about them, and don't forget that you cried too,"

Asriel: "Yeah, but not as much as you,"

Frisk: "Ah, I'm not embarrassed, I've come a long way from being a stoic-faced and quiet little kiddo, but sometimes I just wish these emotions weren't so big,"

Asriel: "I know exactly what you mean," he then sighs happily as he eats his dessert enthusiastically "not now though, this IS DELICIOUS, those Italians are really onto something,"

Realized something yesterday; Undertale was a game set in a world built for tragedy and had half of the main character (Asriel, Character and Flowey) follow the path of that tragedy. The only way to properly finish the game was by rejecting that sadness that the narrative had put into the story and power through to a happy ending (true pacifist)... and Deltarune is setting up to be kind of an opposite to UT in many many ways (like the approach to the player's choices). And so far it's been working with this idea of Kris being a very heroic figure. Because that's what I assume the player wants...

So unless you played through the snowgrave/weird route with them, their best chance at breaking free, at dismantling the timeloop, is to bring a tragedy upon themselves.

(Also realized that both games have a prophecy and at least in UT we know that fulfilling it will get you the same outcome but you can do it through different means... maybe that could also be something...)

on striped shirts and the softness of common cultural signs in utdr

one of my favorite details in undertale (and i can only assume that by extension deltarune but that's less clear) is how kids - seemingly universally, regardless of if they're human or monster - wear striped shirts.

there's something soft about making sure others know this person is still just a child, that they might need help from others or protection. it's nice how monster kid assumes frisk is a child too because of their shirt and how they're not even wrong, it's not played for a joke. how sans calls them "kid" or "buddy", how undyne addresses them "brat" or "punk", because they know they're young.

there's something about this that screams of an "it takes a village" mentality that somehow transcended the human-monster war that makes me feel all fuzzy. it speaks of care, of making sure others realize the age, and thus fragility, of who they're speaking to. someone had to give a striped shirt to every child who owns it. someone cared enough to make sure others cared too. it just think that's nice.

I've given them a list of things to specifically not use as offerings, but it seems that despite how devoted they are, some people can't follow a damn list!

*She digs through the sack and pulls out many bars of chocolate, and it floats in the air. She also pulls out some other sweets, stones, and gems*

All of this is fine, but I don't want their blood. Lunis does not want their blood, and yet they keep giving me vials of their blood. That's not even the worst thing in here, surprisingly, and trust me, you don't want to know.

*She finishes taking things out of the sack, and the small skull appears. She speaks to the skull, and it takes the sack and disappears with it. She lets out a sigh*

Would you like some gems?

Chara: "Say yes, both of you,"

Asriel: "Relax Chara McGreedyton, we are, we're not dumb,"

Frisk: "Yeah, I'm not super big on jewelry, but I do like a pretty gem, and you know we'll take good care of them if they're expensive,"

The three teenagers politely hold out their hands to take the gems, and Frisk looks at the Queen thoughtfully.

Frisk: "Hey, um, are you able to donate the blood to hospitals? Or...? Is it.. no good?"

*She takes a bite of food*

Oh, I'd love to meet Chara!

Asriel chuckles at her comment.

Asriel: "I can't say how they'll feel about meeting you, but since we like you, it shouldn't be too hard to win them over, they seem just fine with the Queen, but that's probably because she let them borrow her body- and recommended the doctor who gave me this body, so...nevermind, you get the picture,"

He then looks chuckles nervously at the silly way Frisk is grinning at him.

Asriel: "Heh.....what??? Do I have food on my face?"

Frisk: "You already like Sol?" ( ͡• ͜ʖ ͡• )

Asriel: "Yeah, as an acquaintance, she's okay so far, we literally just met, relax weirdo,"

Frisk: "I know, I'm being silly, it's just that she's super cool and super nice, and I think you guys have a lot of friendship potential,"

Asriel: "Well no duh, you and I are friends aren't we? It makes sense that I would have friendship potential with another Frisk,"

Frisk: "Heheheheheheheh, you have a type,"

Asriel laughs, but is embarrassed for whatever reason.

Asriel: "wHY would you word it that way??????"

Frisk: "Whhaat?? That's not weird! Do you think people can't have preferences when it comes to choosing friends?"

Asriel doesn't reply, he only laughs them off and stuffs the last bit of pasta in his mouth.

My Lust tale. A story following a group of monsters living in a world in which humans and monsters have always coexisted side by side. Sure, everyone is above ground, but that doesn’t mean everything is easy. In this world, monsters face extreme classism, racism, and just general systemic oppression from the government. This story specifically follows the lives of a suffering but strong community of monsters doing their best to survive in a run-down city with a corrupt system not made for them.

We’ve got the aged-out foster skeleton brothers- drag queen Sans and security/accountant Pax (government name Papyrus) who co-run the hit club, Lust Tales After Dark, located on Snowed In Street.

Directly across from their building is a small rundown cafe run by the lovely Miss Toriel, and occasionally her eldest two children, biological son Asriel (15) and adopted Chara (16). She has another adopted kid, Frisk (7) that the eldest watch frequently as well. Pax and Sans (dubbed Sansy by Frisk) spend most of their off time either with the kids, running rehearsals, or working the food bank that Lust Tales After Dark and Toriels cafe run (along with several other monster owned businesses) for the unfortunate monsters and humans living on the streets in their city.

Chief of police, Asgore is what you could expect. A power hungry, corrupt, and selfish man willing to throw his own family away for the sake of success. I will reveal more about everyone’s dynamic soon enough.

Last bit….and I want you all to REALLY look me in the face and listen to every word I’m about to say.

This is a story meant to raise awareness for real life problems. I am planning on using this series to educate younger people in this fandom about safe sex practices, consent, and the wide variety of sexualities, as well as SA, domestic violence, and STD awareness. As someone who read the original comic as a young teen, it was incredibly damaging and confusing. So, this is meant to be used as a tool. A comfort. Lust and sexuality can be really really scary for some. I hope to make it less scary. More educational and lighthearted.

If your intention is to come on my page and twist my content into what the original LustTale was or draw harmful art that you KNOW could damage someone, get the FUCK off my page. Unkindly.
