Fun Fact! Poison Dart Frogs don't produce their own toxins, rather they eat toxic Insects (Such as Centipedes) and secrete it through their skin. If you keep a true poison dart frog and restrict its diet from having toxic bugs, it will be safe to handle.

I didn't realize this on my first watch of RWBY bcus I was too focused on Everything Else about the Nuckelavee, but now that I'm rewatching it the implications of this only just sank into me

The Nuckelavee collects trophies.

It is a Grimm with enough intelligence to take prizes from the cities it's razed, the people it's slaughtered. It has a banner from Shion, Li Ren's arrow, the weapons of Huntsmen long gone and the remains of towns abandoned

It is not just some grotesque, mindless monster like a lot of lesser Grimm, but capable of actively collecting items from the dead to hoard

Yk. In case its sheer appearance, battle prowess, and impact on multiple towns throughout Mistral didn't intimidate you enough, it's also important to note that it's a Grimm that seems to almost take pride in its acts of destruction
