even though i know the leverage team gets back together as soon as season 2 starts and we barely see any time of them being apart, it makes me unreasonably upset that they not only spent six months apart, but that they didn't know they'd all join back up eventually!! like wdym hardison spent months trying and failing to track down parker?? wdym parker gained a family and then spent half a year alone again?? wdym eliot had found a way to do some good or have some kind of purpose until it was suddenly over?? wdym nate & sophie had finally caught up with each other but came to realize that neither of them were in a place to have that relationship and spent months not knowing if that had been their last chance??
#leverage#leverageposting#especially parker and hardison. i get sad thinking about how she had adapted to maybe finally having people and then it was over#only for 6mo but as far as she knew it was probably forever#and then for hardison like. trying to track her down and failing. desperately trying to figure out how to find her. wondering if shes upset#that he hasnt contacted her. but also wondering if maybe she doesnt want to be found. maybe shes over him? maybe shes gone.#sophie at least evidently spent some of that time devising a way to get the team back together (and putting on a play)#the fact sophie managed to get an invite to parker while hardison couldnt find her is funny tho. i imagine soph had a different strategy.#trying to track her down means always being a step behind. id like to think soph instead predicted where parker *would* be.#wherever the shiniest thing to steal is. or that she set up a whole grift to both steal from a museum herself but also to entice parker to#steal from the museum and find a note hidden in the back of the most theft-worthy painting etc. idk.#but anyway hardison also looked so sad in the stork job when they briefly thought parker had run off ('trust me she is gone' 'whos gone?')#so actually losing her for 6mo + assuming it was probably forever is SO SAD#and parker not having her 'more than a team' team OW OUCH IM IN PAIN

kingsisle stans for some reason exist and will get so sweaty over shit tier decisions and lazy developers for no reason other than to have a total ☝️🤓 cope whenever you suggest the team is lying about the most menial bullshit.

People seriously be thinking Akutagawa is the brain in sskk like?????? Uh??????? Dude was born with half a brain cell and was probably tricked into donating it to Dazai when he was 16?????????????
#bsd#bungou stray dogs#Don't get me wrong Atsushi isn't much of a plotter either#Seriously remember the Fukuchi fight. seriously#Like the best strategy they manage to come up with is#“two hunters joining forces will catch a bigger pray than what both could find working individually”#which is like. primates level of reasoning#AND IT STILL TOOK THEM TWO SEPARATE BATTLES TO REALIZE THAT#They have a single brain cell combined#“But then how can they make a powerful team (even most powerful than s/kk according to you)?”#Well you see that's the power of their love. Next question ❤️#On a slightly less serious note their teamwork is all in the fight against Fukuchi.#They come up with a strategy together thinking over it together and brainstorming together‚ and honestly... That's kind of cute.#Great‚ even#sskk#shin soukoku#ryūnosuke akutagawa#atsushi nakajima#mine#q.#31/07/22#Mmmmhh I got distracted but the point I intended to make is that I truly believe Atsushi is very argute#Because I think he really is a member of the Armed //Detective// Agency now.#Because I think he would take a lot from Dazai for the best and for the worst#While Akutagawa... Is just too impulsive to be a reflective person you know?#There's nothing wrong with that. I love him. He's just not much of a tactician#I know this is a controversial matter and the brain-Akutagawa brawn-Atsushi is actually quite popular-#yet it just doesn't sit right with me ahah#Edit: Sorry more but it all eventually comes down to:#Atsushi being surrounded by positive influence that helped and supported him grow (Dazai)

I just watched Kuroko No Basket, and it's just reminds me of that one Kaishin fanarts.
And now I'm thinking about an AU, where KaiShin plays basketball.. 😧
We know that Shinichi's leg strength is stronger, right? Maybe that makes it easier for him to jump higher than the others. Maybe he can do the dunk thing? (or MAYBE He also like to play football. His friends would think that makes sense for his leg muscles to be so strong.)
And for Kaito, UGHH, I really like Kise. Kise reminds me of Kaito, A LOT. His charm and childishness!! 😭😭
Okay, maybe for Kaito, he will easily avoid blocks. Because he's a phantom. You know? :333 And maybe he doesn't really like playing basketball? Because that's not his thing. BUT– *cough* He is interested in playing basketball because he wants to compete with Shinichi.
I don't think they will be team leaders. Tho, if Gosho Boys applies here, Saguru will probably be the team leader. And for Heiji, he could go to the same school as Shinichi and become an basketball player too because.. why not? I like it if Heiji follows where Shinichi is 🤷 (But it would be more interesting if he would be attracted to Hakuba 😏)
And yes, Saguru is on the same team as Kaito and Heiji is on the same team as Shinichi. They will face each other on the basketball court someday. And that's what's exciting >:D
#They will play fair. Don't worry#Saguru will rack his brains for his team's basketball playing strategy#wait- Aoko will be their manager? or coach?#And Ran!?#Okay that's alots of ideas in my head.#But I can't spell it or type it all out#grammar is suck#yeah#One day Shinichi will try Kaito's way of avoiding blocks#Kaito didn't want to lose#Heiji will be frustrated with the strategy of Saguru's team#detectives have the same brain but different skills#Alright this is very long#I'm typing this before I sleep#kaishin#dcmk#kudo shinichi#kuroba kaito#hakuba saguru#hattori heiji#detective conan#case closed#Au#ideas#free to use#i guess?#kuroko no basket

having 2 number 1 drivers is all fine and dandy when they both have a viable chance to win the championship. when you have one driver that only barely has the ability to catch up and 9 races left, you prioritize that driver.
#my take on mclaren not knowing how to win a wdc#it’s not lando or oscar’s fault#their job is to race#no matter who their racing#its the teams job to manage the drivers and come up with a strategy TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP#this is not a brocedes or prost/senna situation#OSCAR HAS NO HOPE OF WINNING THE WDC AT THIS RATE

You know, I've held for a long time the belief that canon!Denise eventually surpasses Sylvia and is just a notch above her in terms of battle prowess despite being younger. But the more I think about it the more I realize Paldea!Denise blows Sylvia out of the WATER with how strong she is to the point it's not even a contest
#mel's musings#forest for the tree#little songbird#first of all. dena started 3 years younger in this au. she got her sprigatito at 15 whilst syl got oshawott at 18#she's got FIVE rivals as opposed to syl's three. one of whom has a reputation for being a battle maniac#(honestly. nemona alone does wonders for dena's growth as a trainer but I'VE STILL GOT MORE)#dena literally has battle studies on her academic record and has studied at two different schools for it#she's fluent in both singles and doubles strategies and beaten elite and champion ranked trainers in both playstyles#plus she's got 4 legendaries AND access to terastallization. syl would get WASHED#to be fair to her though. she certainly would not go down without a fight#she's got 2 legendaries herself plus a mega gardevoir she can communicate telepathically with#and she's significantly more adaptable than dena when her strategies don't go as planned. whereas dena tends to get boxed in her mind a bit#meaning if she manages to catch her off guard it's even possible she could pull a win from her in some circumstances#but after she spent so long wearing herself into the dirt gaining the strength she needed to beat team plasma#and trying her best to live up to everyone's expectations for her as the hero of truth (to say NOTHING of her expectations for herself)?#she's just not the grinding type anymore. she's simply content to live out her life with her beloved pokemon#and if she gets stronger as a side effect of that then cool! but it's not her main focus and she wants to keep it that way#paldea!denise was never forced into getting stronger the way syl was. and she's less beholden to others' expectations in general#and having that agency means her natural inclination to gain knowledge and grow isn't stunted by feeling like it's her only option#so she doesn't have the same reservations about striving for strength as her cousin. but that's not to say she's inherently better for it#point is. both girls had different circumstances behind how they got to where they are and the struggles they faced along the way#but regardless of that they're both content with where they ended up. they're living their best lives and that's what matters#sobs. they're so everything ;_;

do u have ant thoughts on the pens play style ? i love to hear ur thoughts and the way u break things down :0
i love those old geezers so much okay
so the pens, coming off the three cups/crosbymalkin era, still play with a pretty straightforward forechecking style -- they're up there in hits/game and pretty good with the "first pass" (that pass once regaining possession, from defender to forward, out of the defensive zone.)
their major advantages: sid and geno. like, for real, that's THE number one reason. intangibles are hard to measure, but it's well known that the pittsburgh locker room is a very welcoming environment, one players want to stay in into their old age. which is why everyone in there is a million years old. also, the two of them (plus kris letang!!) have aged as players VERY well into their mid-thirties and are showing pretty much no signs of slowing down or stopping, all three of them almost exactly as effective as playdrivers as they were in the championship years. sid is on pace for nearly 100 points!!! he's 35!!!! that's simply not done.
their major weaknesses: their bottom six is not good, and their goaltending is inconsistent as hell. i think their bottom six has changed up a bit since the deadline and might be better now, but either way it is a very very weak set for a contending team. little goalscoring and negative defensive effect. also, their starting goalie is injured often and their backup is straight up bad.
the penguins: power of love for your captain and city. pros: they love each other :) cons: why is every single one of you thirty years old with two kids
#pittsburgh penguins#asks#this sounds pretty pessimistic tbh but . fire ron hextall that flyer ass sonofabitch#also this team IS the sort of team you get at the end of a Dynasty With A Capital D (what the pens are/were for the past fifteen plus years#very charlotte from pride and prejudice. im 27 years old. ive no money and no prospects#the construction of the modern pgh dynasty is very interesting to me! they got a lot luckier in drafting than any other significant dynasty#(two 1OA in sid and flower plus a 2OA in geno)(and kris a high pick in his own right)#and also managed to create an environment where people WANT to stick around#but the inevitable march of time comes for all of us and you simply cannot be contenders forever if you also want to keep your guys togethe#r#hockey strategy

Why Angel Investors May Reject Funding for Your Startup
Securing funding from angel investors is crucial for many startups, but it can be a challenging task. Angel investors are often high-net-worth people that offer funds in return for shares to early-stage firms. However, getting them to invest in your company is not always easy.
There are several reasons why angel investors might say no to funding your venture. These reasons can include a lack of trust in the management team, unrealistic valuations, unclear exit strategies, and poor research. It's essential to understand why potential investors might reject your proposal and to take steps to avoid these pitfalls.
This can increase the chances of success in raising capital and move your business forward. In this article, we will explore some of the reasons why angel investors might say no to funding your venture and provide insights on how to avoid them.
Investors find you untrustworthy:
Trust is crucial when it comes to securing funding from angel investors. If investors perceive you as untrustworthy, it's unlikely they will invest in your company. This could be due to a lack of honesty and transparency in your communication, or a history of shady business practices. To avoid this, it's essential to be transparent and honest with your investors and to establish a strong reputation in the startup community.
Lack of research:
Angel investors want to see that you've done your homework before approaching them for funding. If you haven't conducted thorough research on your market, competitors, and business model, they will likely reject your proposal. To avoid this, make sure to conduct extensive research and provide detailed data to back up your claims.
Unrealistic valuation and/or investment terms:
Valuation is one of the most critical factors in securing funding from angel investors. If your valuation is too high, investors will be less likely to invest, as they will see a lower potential for return on their investment. Similarly, if your investment terms are too onerous, investors may be hesitant to invest. To avoid this, make sure to conduct thorough research on industry standards for valuation and investment terms, and use this information to set realistic expectations for your company.
Poor management team:
Angel investors invest in people as much as they do in ideas. If your management team lacks the necessary skills, experience, and vision to execute your business plan, investors will be less likely to invest. To avoid this, make sure to assemble a strong management team with the necessary skills, experience, and vision to execute your business plan.
Unclear exit strategy:
Angel investors are looking for a return on their investment, and they need to know how they can exit their investment. If you don't have a clear exit strategy, investors will be less likely to invest. To avoid this, make sure to have a clear exit strategy in place, and communicate this to potential investors.
In conclusion, getting funds from angel investors might be difficult, but it is not impossible. By understanding the reasons why investors might say no to funding your venture, you can take steps to avoid these pitfalls and increase your chances of success. Remember to be transparent and honest, conduct thorough research, set realistic expectations, assemble a strong management team, and have a clear exit strategy in place.

How to handle miscommunication
Have you ever encountered or been in a situation where an information that you conveyed was misunderstood by a person and it resulted in a huge chaos? Have you wondered in such timings if there was anything that could have been done to avoid this? The root cause of this lack of understanding is often the lack of communication, the lack of effective communication in particular. By ensuring that you have a good communication, and the listener understands the message in the sense you meant it will avoid a lot of confusion, chaos and conflict. In this blog we will attempt to explain the ways in which miscommunication arises, the ways to avoid it, how to deal if a miscommunication happens and a few tips which can always help you steer clear of any mishap.
How does miscommunication arise?
Miscommunication may arise due to several factors like:
a) Lack of context:
When the context is not clearly explained, it provides the room for a lot of assumption and confusion which can lead to major misunderstanding.
b) Assumptions:
The ambiguity and vague description can lead to assumptions which when not cleared can give results which vary vastly from the expected result or outcome.
c) Poor listening skills:
It is often said that when listening to a person, assume an invisible cocoon around you so that you are able to pay attention. When an important information is being conveyed and you get distracted then you may miss out on crucial information which can lead to chaos.
d) Poor speaking skills:
Another common reason why miscommunication may arise is the speaker being unclear in their communication. If the speaker does not structure their sentences, streamlines the message or uses words that are not easily understood then a lot of confusion may arise.
How to handle miscommunication once it occurs:
1. Discuss the problems and ask questions:
Let both the misunderstood parties sit and discuss what happened in order for the miscommunication to arise. You have to ask questions and really listen to the other person when they speak to understand how the situation looked from their point of view. Be open in the discussion so that you do not have any pre conceived notion or biases.
2. Identify the source:
Through this you may reach the root cause of the problem. A sentence, a word, a gesture or something else that was misinterpreted or not communicated effectively must have been the reason the miscommunication happened. By identifying the source you realise in which way the communication has to be streamlined in the future to avoid such mistakes.
3. Deal with the emotions involved:
Chances are if the miscommunication has caused any major problems then there are lots of emotions involved and a blame game may also occur. Deal with these emotions maturely by acknowledging each one’s emotions, cancelling out the need to blame someone and acknowledge that it was a group communication which failed.
4. Agree upon further communication:
To steer clear of such problems in the future, agree upon a common channel of communication and a way in which any misinterpretation can be checked and avoided.
Tips to avoid miscommunication:
Here a few sure ways to communicate effectively always:
1. Use the 7Cs of communication:
Namely the clear, concise, concrete, correct, coherent, complete, and courteous, the 7c’s of communication would ensure that you have communicated the message effectively without leaving out any crucial points.
2. Check for understanding:
If you are the speaker then ask the listener if they have understood what is being said. You could stop at certain moments and keep checking for understanding.
3. Paraphrase:
As a listener you can paraphrase what has been said to you so that the speaker can correct if there is any misunderstanding.
4. Address issues promptly:
At any point of time if you sense that there is a miscommunication or confusion, immediately check with the person and go over the conversation again. You can also clarify on crucial points.
Conclusion:
Miscommunication can lead to unnecessary conflicts, but with patience and empathy, we can build stronger connections and reduce misunderstandings. Remember, good communication is an ongoing practice—invest time in improving it, and you’ll find both personal and professional relationships becoming more fulfilling and resilient. With these tools in hand, you’re well-equipped to communicate with confidence and clarity.

The Essence of Proactive Leadership
Written by David Dantes In the dynamic landscape of modern leadership, one quote by John C. Maxwell vividly captures the essence of effective leadership: “The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The leader adjusts the sails.” This statement, sourced from SUCCESS.com, offers a powerful metaphor that underscores the proactive nature of true leadership.
