Varian: It's a vote between the Mad Max series and the Twilight films.

Nuru: I vote Twilight. After getting through all the Fast and Furious films, I'm tired of crazy car chases. I don't understand how you can find them so entertaining, Hugo.

Hugo: What's not entertaining about heist movies with cars?? Anyway, my vote's for Mad Max.

Varian: Considering that the Mad Max movies are rated R, I'm not sure they're age appropriate to watch them with Yong.

Hugo: First off, Thunderdome is PG-13. Secondly, maybe Yong wants to see more cool film masterpieces that just so happen to have cars in them instead of some sappy vampire werewolf romance. Let the kid make the choice.

Yong: I want to watch the vampire werewolf romance.

Hugo: Et tu, Brute?

Yong: Romance movies are nice. Especially when they have happy endings.

Varian: It's decided, Twilight it is.

Yong, getting cozy with the group as the movie starts: I like our movie nights. Hanging out together like this is my favorite thing to do. I hope we have movie nights every week for a long long time.

rewatching this ending scene from fast and furious: tokyo drift and. okay i know the MCU has well and killed this kind of ending. but please just remember that this movie is from 2006. and you've been outside LA for two whole movies, okay -- yeah, the second movie was in miami, but not the miami part of miami, you know? and the entirety of this third movie has been so fucking far from anything else we've seen in this series. it's been fun, it's been great... but then we hit the end. and you're wondering how this movie ties into the others. and the random kid who's starring in this movie drives over, and we're hearing the same music we've been hearing all movie, and then very suddenly the music very visibly switches over into reggaetón, and there's spanish in the lyrics. and you know even before the camera pans to the other car who's going to be sitting there.

I watched Fast Five and the ideas been bugging me for some reason but! What if Brian was Dom’s brother and Mia was the undercover cop?

That second part doesn’t really matter because this is just focused on Brian having grown up with Dom and Vince and at some point or another Vince comes to fall for Brian, his behaviour flipping with constant advances toward Brian.

Dom probably wouldn’t have worried about it had Brian been anyone else, since anyone else would realise Vince was a dumbass and they were probably too good for him (no offence to Vince) but Brian wasn’t anyone else. And he loved flirting and playing along with advances without actually giving them any hope of getting into his pants.

Which meant there were a lot of instances where Dom probably could have, and should have, punched Vince over for what he did but because Brian was laughing and smiling he didn’t. And the chasing went on for years. Way longer than any normal sort of crush did.

They still fucked around with other people sure, they weren’t exactly exclusively together or anything, but at the end of the day they’d come back to the house and play their weird little game again, regardless of who was there to see it.

It was amusing in some cases. Downright pathetic in others on Vince’s behalf. But it was the usual for them.
