A beginner guide to tea blending 🌿
⚠️This is meant to be a simple guide based on my own research and experience, by all means, educate yourself further and double check everything before proceeding!⚠️
First, define your intention or goal for this blend: what medicinal properties do you want to extract from these plants? You should know the medicinal value and effects of each plant separately before trying them out together and finding out how they interact with each other. Similarly, taste all the herbs separately before putting them together to get a better tasting blend. You’ll have to find a good balance between:
the right dosage of each herb to get their medicinal value,
the taste of said herbs to your liking,
the right dosage to avoid any possible side effects.
The herbs that cause the main desired effect should take up to 70% of the blend.
One type of effect can be based on which system you want to work in (if the herbs all have similar positive effects on immune, circulatory, digestive, or other systems, like for example calming nerves or easing digestion). The other would be a nourishing effect (if the effects on each system cancel each other and thus you’re only taking in the nutrients, like minerals and vitamins, of the herb). The first kind would all have herbs that work together towards a common goal, the second would have effects that counteract each other so you only absorb their nutrients.
Then you’ll have supporting herbs, up to your 20%, that either boost the good medicine, and/or relief possible side effects of the main herbs.
Depending on the effects each plant has on your body, you’ll want them to boost each other or counteract each other. Also take into account if it’s an overall cooling or warming effect, boosting or slowing down metabolism, if it dries or moistens the tissues with minerals and fluids, and whether it’s relaxing or constricting/toning in tissues aswell.
Last should be possible catalysts. These are optional, but recommended. That would be up to 10% of stimulant herbs that boost metabolism or enhance the overall effects of the others, to really get all the good stuff into your body.
Some good examples of catalysts are ginger root, cayenne or licorice root, but be careful with licorice as it can be toxic in high amounts!
To give you an example of how I’d put everything into practice: if my goal is to make a tea blend that’s toning, rich in minerals and vitamins and strengthens the immune system, I’d use 5 parts stinging nettle, 2 parts lemon balm (for the main effects), 2 parts thyme (supporting), and 1 part ginger root (catalyst), then sweeten to taste. Parts can be grams, teaspoons, or smaller measures, depending on how much blend you want to prepare. If you’re going to try this blend, do this exercise: research each plant, it’s medicinal value and side effects, and you’ll find out why I put them together!
Also, I personally love the taste of stinging nettle, yet someone else may prefer to use 5 parts of lemon balm and 2 parts of stinging nettle instead and get a slightly different result, more soothing to the nervous system, try it for yourself and always check for the effects and right dosages. I normally measure each part as grams, and this formula gives me around 2-3 liters of infusion, depending on how strong you make it. That is, using dry herbs, if you’re using fresh plant material you’ll need more grams. Normally 1 teaspoon of dry herb equals 1 tablespoon of fresh herb, or 1 part dried equals 3 parts fresh, but there may be slight differences between each plant depending on how much water it contains.
Finally, write everything down! The formula, how it worked for you and what it tastes like.
Thanks for reading ♡

Nobody can tell me that the worst punishment for Price or Ghost wouldn't be to tell you 10 things they like about themselves without it being physical features.
Like he's pinned down beneath you, squirming, practically begging for you to flog or spank him, do anything but that, and you're just sweetly ordering him to continue, ignoring his embarrassed whine and the watery tears wetting the corners of his eyes as you throw out suggestions and make it so much harder for him as he can't use them

you could scream into a pillow right now.
In fact, you did scream into the pillow for a couple of minutes, but it never seemed to be enough. you might need to go to a cliff in order to release all that rage in you because it still hadn't lessened.
your colleague (fuck you, minwoo), had misplaced an important document needed for the project you had to submit. which ended up in your department head lashing out at you.
"who the hell does he think he is!?" you scream, now beginning to pull on the ends of the cushion.
minghao sat next to you, half in concern and half in fear. in all these years you two had been together, he had never seen you like this... like you could tear apart your whole office if you could. to say he was concerned was... putting it lightly.
he gently took the cushion from your hands. he took great care of it; he couldn't even think of it being ripped apart. placing it aside, he pats you on your back a few times.
"you know what? i'll go make some tea real quick, while you take a few deeeep breaths to calm a bit dow-"
"but he's at the wrong!" you butt in.
"I know, I know," he says as he places a hand on your cheek, "lemme just make the tea and we can put on some diss tracks and talk trash about him, okay?"
even though you were seething right now, you couldn't help but smile. hao had never been one to talk bad about someone, but you know that he's ever ready to put aside his meditated mind and join you, if that means you'll feel better (and that his cushion will remain safe).

How to Use Herbs : Rosemary
Hwello there. We have talked about rosemary and its uses in a previous post. If you haven't read it, please click here: Rosemary
Now I shall provide some spells, tonics, recipes and etc on where you can utilize it. Let us begin :)
Author's Note: From I noticed a part is usually a teaspoon. You can add more according to your needs, but I would always start with that measurement first.
Alchemist Formula for Binding:
One part benzoin gum (Saturn, binding)
One part patchouli (Saturn,binding)
One part Solomon's seal (Saturn, protective)
One part rosemary oil (Saturn, protective)
One part frankincense oil (Sun, success)
Mental Focus Magical Tea:
I part rosemary
1/2 part spearmint
1 cup of boiling water
Mix herbs in a small jar
To brew, pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of the herbal blend.
Steep for 5 - 7 minute. Strain and drink.
Spells:
Remembrance for Lost Love (Heartache Healer)
6 drops of rosemary oil
3 drops of peppermint oil
1 drop of lavender oil
White candle
Add the oil to the top of the candle, one at a time, in a clockwise direction around the wick.
LIght the candle and gaze into the flame
Visualize your fond memories of the person who left your life. As you do this say, "I thank you for the time we had together, I thank you for the love we shared, I thank you for being an important part of my life. We have parted, we move on, we remember. I wish you the best life has to offer and hope you have found happiness."
Allow the candle to burn out of its own and dispose of the remaining wax away from your home or bury it in the spot you and the past partner enjoyed together.
Broom Cleansing Spell
Use one or any combination of the following botanicals: broom, cedar, fennel, hyssop, rosemary, sage, vervain.
Arrange the botanicals and tie them to the bottom of a branch withraffia, visualizing, charging and knotting. (Any branch may be used, however an ash branch is considered particularly powerful.)
Sprinkle with salted water or any preferred purification formula.
Sweep the area.
Disassemble the broom outside, away from the cleansed space.
Bury the components in the ground or toss them into living waters, flowing away from you.
Ghost Keep Away Spell (Boundary Line Spell)
Place three peeled cloves of garlic in a bowl, together with one handful of sea salt and one handful of fresh rosemary leaves.
Grind and mash the ingredients together.
Sprinkle them to create a boundary, as needed.
Bad Habits Bath
Add the following to a tub filled with warm water:
Essential oil of clary sage
Essential oil of frankincense
Essential oil of lavender
Essential oil of lemongrass or May Chang
Essential oil of rosemary
Enter the bath and inhale the fragrance, and accompany with affirmations and positive visualizations.
Kitchen Witch Recipes:
Super-Quick Bonus Recipe for Gwion’s Red Onion Pickle Bliss
Fills one pint-sized jar
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes, plus 30 minutes to cool in the fridge
1 medium red onion
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup water
10 black peppercorns
2/3 cup white wine vinegar,
rice vinegar, or apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 sprig rosemary
1 clove garlic, peeled and halved
Slice the onion very thinly and place it in your clean, dry jar. Set it aside.
Add the rest of the ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil until the sugar has fully dissolved. Stir carefully so you don’t break the rosemary. The sprig is in there to add flavour, and you’ll discard it before the next step.
Let the pickling mixture (the water, vinegar, and spices) cool down for about 10 minutes. Discard the sprig of rosemary and pour the remaining
ingredients into the jar of onions. Make sure all of the onions are submerged
in the picking liquid. If you have to, use a spoon to push the onions down in the jar. Seal the jar and put it in the fridge to cool. The onions are ready to eat once they are cool, about 30 minutes.
Serve them on avocado toast, burgers, salads, or just with a fork straight out of the jar. Remember to kiss your partner or partners before eating the onions out of the jar, unless they’re into pungent kisses.
Goat for a God: Roasted Goat Leg with Grape Molasses
Great for Deities: Dionysus, Pan and Thor
Serves : 6
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
1 goat leg (about 3 pounds)
1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoons black pepper
4 tablespoons grape molasses
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon coriander
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 cup white wine + one glass for sipping and toasting while cooking (use mead if you're cooking this for Thor)
1 bay leaf
2 large carrots, chopped into
1" chunks
1 celery root, peeled and chopped into 1" cubes
Open the bottle of white wine or mead and take a hefty drink. (This is optional but deities do like when you drink with them but they can respect if you don't partake.)
Preheat the oven to 375° F.
Liberally season the goat leg with salt and pepper.
Rub the minced garlic all over the goat leg too. If it helps, poke a few holes in the goat leg so you can get the garlic right into the meat.
Place the rosemary sprigs and bay leaf in the bottom of a large roasting pan and put the goat leg right on top. Add the carrots and celery root around the edges. Pour the olive oil all over the goat and rub it around. Coat the carrots and celery root too.
Pour the white wine around the bottom of the roasting pan.
Loosely cover with kitchen foil and put the whole pan into the oven for 2 hours.
About an hour and forty-five minutes into the cooking process, it’s time to make the glaze.
Mix the grape molasses—which is a super-condensed syrup made of grape must—in a bowl with a tablespoon of olive oil, the coriander, and the cumin. You can substitute honey for the grape molasses if for Thor.
At the two-hour mark, pull the roasting pan out of the oven and paint the goat with the grape (or honey) and spice glaze.
Pop the goat and veggies, uncovered, back into the oven for another 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 145° F.
When you’re ready to serve this dish, scoop the veggies into a bowl (fornow) and put the goat leg on a platter. If you have access to one, get a cedar plank and serve the goat on it.
Medical Tonics and Infusions:
Infusion- An infusion is the simplest way to prepare the more delicate aerial parts of plants, especially leaves and flowers, for use as a medicine or as a revitalizing or relaxing drink. It is made in a similar way to tea, using either a single herb or a combination of herbs, and may be drunk hot or cold.
Pot Infusion
For a cup:
1 tsp (2–3 g) dried or 2 tsp (4–6 g) fresh herb (or mixture of herbs) to a cup of water
For a pot:
20 g dried herb or 30 g fresh herb (or a mixture of different herbs) to 2 cups (500 ml) of water
Warm the pot, then add the herb.
Pour in water that has just boiled, replace the lid, and infuse for 10 minutes.
Strain some of the infusion into a cup. A teaspoon of honey may be added if desired.
Storage:
Store in a covered jug in a refrigerator or cool place for up to 24 hours.
Tonic Making
Standard Quantity:
200 g dried or 300 g fresh herb chopped into small pieces to 1 quart (1 liter) alcohol—vodka of 35–40% alcohol is ideal, although rum hides the taste of bitter or unpalatable herbs
Standard Dosage:
Take 1 tsp (5 ml) 2 –3 times a day diluted in 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp (25 ml) of water or fruit juice.
Place the herb in a large, clean glass jar and pour on the alcohol, ensuring that the herb is covered. Close and label the jar.
Shake well for 1–2 minutes and store in a cool dark place for 10–14 days, shaking the jar every 1–2 days.
Set up the wine press, placing a muslin or nylon mesh bag securely inside. Pour in the mixture and collect the liquid in the jug.
Slowly close the wine press, extracting the remaining liquid from the herbs until no more drips appear. Discard the leftover herbs.
Pour the tincture into clean, dark glass bottles using a funnel. When full, stopper with a cork or screw top and label the bottles.
Storage:
Store in sterilized, dark glass bottles in a cool dark place for up to 2 years. An amber glass jar is the best option.
Sorry this post is so long @_@ But please enjoy and use wisely. Bye byes~

Thinking out loud...
Can't get this thing out of my head!
Thinking about this once again...
How did we get here in the first place???
Was it the rumor of whoever makes the clock move can control time that made Amane try to do it? What was he after? what was his reason???
.............
Thing is... I want to know if Amane managed to make the clock move or not... It seems his actions had a serious impact on the time line if what kako was actually talking about when he said "it's been a while since I moved time so much" is actually the time Amane managed to make the clock move... he had to turn back time because what Amane did was huge. What mess and disastrous events did it cause to make kako turn back time? After all, missing with time must have a huge disastrous impacts???
Hmm… then what were you doing in here? Trying to 'change' things possibly? Trying to change and control time itself?
Now, after what Amane did, let's say Kako moved back time... Then that means...
Hanako in this chapter was...
He still rememers trying to fix the clock but not why... even though time was turned back... he is supposed to forget all about it...
Could that be it? But... that thing comes in contrast with Tsuchigomori calling Amane a normal boy. ???? The boy who changed his future... the future Tsuchigomori read in Amane's book is different from what we have now and maybe back then... it's so so so confusing
... ... ...
Also, since Tsukasa was with Amane in there... Did Amane actually tell him why he was working on fixing the clock or Tsukasa just used to tag along without hearing anything from him? It's really something if Tsukasa just let Amane keep his reasons a secret and was just satisfied by seeing him working... I think Tsukasa knows this clock is no ordinary clock, yet he seemed relaxed with the whole thing... watching his twin missing with something as serious as 'time' not bothered by it at all. I don't know... If something did happen... Tsukasa must be involved somehow? Also, after time was turned back... since I think Tsukasa had 'stronger powers than Amane back in that time' he must remember what happened more clearly than Amane, maybe he even wasn't affected and didn't forget a thing and still does rememebr all of it clearly until this day. Going back to No.1... Where were No.1 when the twins were doing whatever they want in their clock?! Did they just let them? A 'special' human trying to gain control of their clock and Tsukasa... who is defently not normal and with mysterious powers in there?! Did they make a deal with Amane for fun or something?! Was Tsukasa OK with it? Did he even know about it? He must know about the truth of the clock at least? If so... Amane is really not normal? He can interact with supernaturals? No 1 showed themselves to Akane though... Maybe they did the same with Amane? But why? Only to have fun for a moment? They didn't expect him to manage to make the clock move? And when he did... and huge things happened... Kako had to turn back time?
I saw some people say Amane might be the 'present' clock keeper from his time...? And had a contract with the other 2... Trying to present my own view on things... I get to this... I don't know if that can be true or not. I'm not sure about anything... Comparing his case to Akane's case... we get to this... In Akane's case... he had to keep it a secret from everyone even Aoi... while Amane is just letting Tsukasa tag along while doing some No. 1 work? Tsukasa can't know about that? Or did Amane just not care and told him? I can't see that happen... It's top secret right? or is it again Tsukasa just tags along without asking much about it? To make Amane join them... Didn't they have to trick him like what happened with Akane? Then... they had to use Tsukasa? But hey?! How could they even harm him?! I mean...
This will definitely not work on him? Because... If they tried that... then I see he will perfectly avoid getting hit? He even can see them doing it since he can see them?? Maybe it was in a different way then? What if Amane went to them? can that happen though...? What if something else had him join them... that is... if he really was the 'present' clock keeper in that time period... ..........All of it is confusing......... On a side note.... I can see both Amane and Akane really similar to fit in that role... Also, considering Amane used to be that... Amane talk about stopping time in the story is eye-catching... especially in here...
You were able to do that one day.... if that's true... but sometimes he just takes the subject of stopping time in a funny way? Like the little shot with Nene stopped in time? or even how he joked with Kou about it... You can do much more serious things with time you know? I don't think such thoughts used to come to your mind when you had the power to control time, you used to it for much serious things. Did you truely use to be No.1 before and No.7 now after things were changed (and you can't remember anything about being No.1 one day)???
In that light, this has a whole different meaning. they aren't fair to treat him like that after working with him for sometime and making him forget all about it. They didn't want to see his face because of being a pervert... ok... I get that... but there is another reason... that they even didn't take him to see their boundary (that the clock may lead to it). I think that whether Amane was No.1 before or not... they don't want him to recall the momery of working on their clock one day. Since it seems to me when Hanako saw the clock he regained the momory of trying to make it move. Maybe seeing it is actually the trgger to make him remember that memory and they knew it. Did the 'present' No. 1 use to be a human in all generations? Ones before Amane... Then him? Then more until we got to Akane? Or some humans were just a replacement to the supernatural 'present' No.1 who is gone somewhere? Changing the subject to Tsukasa for a bit... if Amane was No.1 and didn't tell him... the clock... all that was going on... Kako turning back time... I bet Tsukasa knows all about that. So, it's really interesting to see Tsukasa's point of view on things now... since we're really dealing with No.1 at the moment. We didn't see anything about his moves in last chapter... Well, thinking about the idea that Amane could stop time for 15 minutes per day... what did he use them on when his day goes smoothly?
Inspired by Akane...
Having your cute adorable precious little brother frozen in time for 15 minutes is not bad at all. You can stare at his face all you want without getting caught and without him noticing a thing. You can say anything that you can't tell him in normal situations a well.
Also... I bet Tsukasa's face will end up squeezed too much... Amane will be looking at his face while it's srrounded with sparkles... He wouldn't resist not to squeeze it?
I don't think Amane will be able to handle ALL that cuteness?! Adorable little brother just... Ehhh... Frozen in front of him... He won't be able to resist not having that cute face in his hands! His big brother instincts will shine! Then, after time starts moving again... You'll see Tsukasa all confused that for some reason his face is red and he will be rubbing it for some reason since it kinda hurts him a bit... While Amane will either leave the place just a moment before the 15 minuts end or will stay and talk about how beautiful the sky is while whistling and avoiding to look at little brother. Imagine this happens almost everyday? How fun! And now I'm imagining it also as... While Tsukasa's time is stopped... Amane will be like *takes Tsukasa's face gently in his hands* the moon is so beautiful... I have the moon in my hands... So perfect... BUT after the 15 minuts are over... He will change behaviour 180°... Why... Amane... :(
Also! Talking about Amane and Akane again for a moment...
Imagining these happen between Amane and his sweet little brother... who to his luck lives with him in the same house... that's fun! "since everyday is blessed with Tsukasa/Aoi around) In the Tsukasa case, it's nice to wake up and have Tsukasa's face as the very first thing you see in your day. A sign for a really good day. (Ch 101 is titled omen by the way...is it a fortunate one or not...?)
Better end things here! This got too long!

Am home sick with viral cold with five year old, so making tea. Thought I would share a very simple and easy recipe.
Ginger
“Ginger is used as a catalyst, promoting a rapid change in conditions. If you add small quantities of ginger to any incense, it will enhance the effects of the incense and make it work more quickly.
Elementally, ginger is the “fire of air.” It is used in spells of all kinds to assist them being brought to fruition more quickly. Take care that whenever ginger is used in a spell, it is the smallest of the components of the spell. If too much ginger is used, it will overwhelm the other components, making the spell a waste of effort.” — Excerpt From True Magic by Draja Mickaharic

Place an image on an altar, either of a snake or of an affiliated deity— the Minoan Serpent Goddess for instance.
Surround this with fresh lavender or warm the essential oil in an aroma burner.
Call the spirit. Be prepared to explain why you have issued the invitation.
Do this spell before bedtime, to receive a visitation in your dreams.
Don’t Sabotage My Success Spell (Workplace Edition)
Prepare a separate mojo for each person who appears to sabotage you.
Write the co-worker’s name on a square of brown paper three times.
Write your own name over each of the co-worker’s names, saying: “I cross you and I cover you.”
Anoint the corners of the paper with essential oils of bergamot, clove bud, and lavender.
Fold up the paper, placing it inside a red flannel drawstring bag, together with a devil’s shoestring root and some cumin seed.
Maintain this discreetly in the workplace, feeding daily with a drop of essential oil of lavender for reinforcement.
Herbal Beauty Glamour Spell
2 ounces of beeswax
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup olive oil
Glass measuring cup
Pan filled with water
Spoon
10 to 12 drops of lavender essential oil
10 to 12 drops of yarrow essential oil
Mirror
Pretty tin or jar
Combine the beeswax, coconut oil, and olive oil into the glass measuring cup and warm it in the pan full of water. This creates a double boiler like effect.
Once the wax melts, stir everything (the oils and beeswax) until well blended and remove it from the heat.
Add the lavender and yarrow oils, stirring them in slowly. As you do so, look into the mirror and say, I am lovely, I am desirable, I am magical. Beauty is more than skin deep. See me for the magnificence of my inner self.
Before it cools, pour your salve into a pretty tin or jar. After it has firmed up, use it on your skin.

10-inch square of thin muslin or cotton
White ribbon
Red candle
Place the herbs in the center of the square of the cloth and gather up the corners.
Use the white ribbon to tie it, forming a pouch.
Run a warm bath and hang the pouch over the faucet, allowing the water to run through it, filling the tub with the essence of the herbs.
Light the candle and climb into the tub. Allow yourself to soak in the warm, fragrant water.
Use the herb pouch to wash your body, as you do, gaze into the candle's flame.
Visualize yourself radiating an aura of self-confidence and power. See yourself as the sort of person who attracts attention from those who are worthy.
When the water cools, extinguish the candle and get out of the tub. After you've dried yourself, dispose of the herb pouch by burying it or burning it.

1 part lavender
1 part jasmine
1 part sandalwood
Masculine Oil Blend
Base note: 10 drops patchouli
Middle note: 10 drops sandalwood
Top note: 3 drops lavender
For the rest of the recipe, you will need:
1-ounce grated beeswax
Double boiler
1 ounce jojoba oil
2 metal 1-ounce containers
Flat toothpicks
Heat the grated beeswax in the double boiler until it is liquid.
Add the jojoba oil and gently mix the two ingredients together to achieve a homogenous blend.
Pour half the liquid into each container and add 3 drops of your essential oil blend.
Quickly stir the mixture with the toothpicks before the wax begins to set.
Keep one container for anointing yourself and the other as a gift to your consort so that he or she may come to appreciate you on a new level. If you are solitary and without a consort, you can use one for anointing your skin and the other for charging candles and ritual tools.
