listen, aaravos is SOOO attentive. he probably has your cycle memorized better than YOU. he's always prepared for when you're on your period, and will approach you about it a few days before it starts

After Rayla first visits Ethari, he puts up mirrors around the house. They're everywhere. He does this in the hopes that Rayla will visit him again. The village believe he has gone mad, but they leave him alone.

When Runaan returns back home, he has panic attacks when he sees the mirrors. Ethari takes them all down. Because of this, he doesn't see Rayla, crying in their house as she watches Ethari comfort his husband.

Ethari will never have Rayla again, but at least he can have Runaan.

Corvus headcanons part 2!

One I’ve said before but I will say it again: he grew up with tracking dogs and now he spoils the royal tracking dogs with treats and pets.

He used to get slightly airsick when he first started riding on the dragons. Now though he’s much more used to it!

In the future Corvus gets ear piercings, specifically studs.

When it comes to new recruits for the guards both Soren and Corvus tag team to train them. Soren starts them off with the basics and then watches them spar with Corvus, shouting out corrections and instructions.

The town of Noct is one Corvus and his family passed through often and he’s very familiar with the area.

The only dancing he knows how to do is ballroom dancing.

The Twin-Tail Cats love Corvus but he’s not sure how to act around them. They’ll nuzzle him and purr super loud but he just gives Amaya and Janai a fearful look the entire time.

Corvus and Amaya found each other at the lowest points in their lives. Corvus coming from his own issues and past and Amaya having freshly lost her sister. They are very close for this reason.

Along with sweets Corvus can make like REALLY good bread. Pumpkin Bread, Pesto Bread, Ricotta bread, Braided Bread, Lemon Bread, etc. he’s always down for a new recipe.

Following off of that Opeli will regularly ask for loafs in exchange for favors. Corvus declines as he’s just happy to give it as a gift.

He is awful with a bow and arrow, its his worse weapon skill.

Corvus has licked rocks to determine if they were actually bones. When he did this for the first time in front of Soren then explained why Soren started trying to lick rocks too much to his dismay.

If accompanying Ezran to the Summon of the Pentarchy and asked to remove all his weapons it would just lead into this scene

Corvus headcanons no one asked for in no particular order

Given a choice between coffee or tea he will almost always go for tea. He made his own blends when he was on the road.

He doesn’t have a sweet tooth and more often than not he gets stomach aches from overly sweet things.

He’s been to all of the human kingdoms for missions before.

As a side effect of his job Corvus knows basic sentences/phrases in several different languages. Ever since peace was established between elves and humans he begun picking up Elvish words and phrases as well.

Picking up from the last one, Janai was pleasantly surprised when Corvus referred to her as “Your Radiance” instead of “Your Highness” like most of the other human residents.

He’s always been pretty accident prone, his scar is actually from a rather embarrassing accident when he was 8 years old.

Amaya’s Sign Name for Coruvs is “C-Bird”

He is not a great singer and at most will hum.

Corvus doesn’t like physical/monetary gifts, preferring either items that are useful or acts of service if anything. Exceptions can be made for handcrafted gifts!

He is extremely competitive, if you want to get Corvus to agree to something just make it a challenge and more likely than not you’ll see a competitive glint in his eyes.

When he was 14 years old he met Harrow for the first time, and thought he was a wonderful leader. His feelings got complicated after the murder of Avizandum.

Gren gifted Corvus the cloak he wears in the book.

Corvus has a step mom he loves. When Corvus (15) met Soren (13) he made a “step-prince�� joke making Corvus dislike him to the point he avoided him.

If you tried to take Corvus out for a “Treat-Yourself” day he will come back with a pair of socks.

He can mimic the whistles of birds and make several animals calls extremely well. This was his signature on espionage missions he had to go on.

Corvus has several younger siblings but they are all 7+ years younger than him.

He has an uncanny memory, he can and will recall one small detail from a large conversation in full detail from 3+ years ago.

General Amaya drilled healthy breakfast routines into Corvus after noticing him only eat light meals in the morning.

Although he can cook really well Corvus got used to packing lightly and eating plain food during his travels.

Corvus is a history buff, he enjoys reading about major events in history and knows a fair amount about Elarion and Sol Regem (this is why he was able to catch onto Karim).

Corvus and Kazi got along well because of this and they kept him company while he was on bedrest.

His scarf belonged to his late mother.

Everybody thinks Soren is the more clingy. All Katolis thinks like this. Ezran is still asking himself how Corvus, a person that doesn't like physical contact, ended up with Soren.

I'm reality, Corvus is, he just doesn't show it.

The moment Soren and Corvus are alone, Corvus is the one who takes his hand, or clings on him in bed, sleeping on him.

I have headcanons for Traditional Katolis and Moonshadow Weddings

Katolis

In many ways a traditional Christian marriage. White dress, Dad walking daughter down the aisle. Some exceptions:

If a man doesn't cry during his wedding it's considered very bad luck, "If a man sheds not a tear at his maiden fair, Dressed in white with flowers rare, Then cursed be the vows they weave, For love unwept is love deceived."

Women must fast for weeks if not a month leading up to the wedding day, something about commitment.

Men can't look at other women for weeks until the marriage is finished, the only exception is the mother. Amaya grants herself the exception.

The one officiating the wedding must blind themselves, Stems from an old legend that an old priest who couldn't find love himself was so angry that he has to officiate weddings that chaos itself helped him and Everytime he gazed upon a woman or man the wedding would end in tragedy.

Having any sort of aches and or pains during the wedding is a seriously bad omen, any type of pain is treated very, very seriously my apothecaries if they know you're getting married. This story is simpler, back before more modern medicines and when a simple infection could kill you.

Gifts are mostly based on profession and class, farmers will be gifted farming equipment, carpenters will be given tools, royals linens and gold. It's becoming more and more of a "Joke" in recent years. 10 people gift the same exact thing knowingly. In a similar vein some people give gifts that are mostly useless, inconvenient or cumbersome and are too noticeable to regift or throw away so someone is stuck with it. It's an act of love.

Katolians tend to invite quite everyone they know, Callum even invited Elmer from Scumport.

It's tradition to have the groom's dad put on his jacket and tie for him, Ezran takes up this task. The groom's mother helps the bride, Ethari and Amaya take up this task.

The bride has to ask for permission to marry him as much as the groom does, if both parents are dead the bride goes to where they are buried and asks for permission. It's common for both bride and groom to debase themselves asking for permission.

It's bad luck to immediately consummate the marriage, Katolians typically give it 7 days. If you can go 7 days without touching your love then it's true love it whatever.

Honeymoons are typically a pretty ridged framework, a couple- especially Royal- can pick between 5 spots. Lodge, Beach House, forest cabin, mountain Lodge, or a boat retrofitted for comfortable living.

Drinks and Food are hearty and plentiful. All types of alcohol but particularly the grooms choice of alcohol and the brides food. They have been known to get quite wild.

Dancing is quite conservative, having a select few songs and dancing is between family or those in a relationship. The groom's father dances with the bride and the bride's mother dances with the groom.

Cakes are huge and intricately decorated. Again becoming a joke in recent years.

Moonshadow

The bride and groom have to hunt each other, this is obviously harder for Callum so he just flies. Not against the rules. Rayla gets him though.

Katolians are shocked at how revealing Moonshadow wedding clothes are, Definitely less conservative than Katolis. Lots of sheer/translucent clothing and exposed skin. Callum nearly faints.

Moonshadow weddings are very small. Family are a given and only very few are invited.

Moonshadow weddings typically happen wherever is beautiful enough, The bride finds a location she likes after a week of searching and her family decorated it properly. Could be a waterfall, Could be a forest, could be a boat. Who knows.

Moonshadow weddings are at night and under a full moon, Explains why Katolis wedding was first.

Consummating the marriage is immediate.

Many couples have a temporary shelter just a little bit off the wedding spot, The couple retreat there after partying. Think of it as a honeymoon. They relax there for days to weeks doing whatever.

Gifts are given more based on need, Clothes to cooking to weapons. Ethari gave Rayla a contract for 10 cribs.

Food and drinks are limited to how many people are there, drinks are typically low in alcohol.

It's common for the bride to engrave a weapon for her husband.

There are no cakes in Moonshadow weddings, just basic food.

Dancing is very free, it's even tradition to dance as seductively as possible for your spouse.

It's common for the bride and groom to consume aphrodisiacs

Personal headcanons

Before the official wedding when Callum sees Rayla he collapsed and Soren catches him, he bursts into tears at the altar.

It got very awkward when Opeli, out of tradition, announced the Father of the groom's dance.

Soren kept giving Callum more and more drinks and he threw up at his own wedding.

Callum ordered a small basic cake but Soren intercepted it and made it supermassive and ornate. They could've had cakes for months.

Ethari liked the idea of a cake at a wedding so much he made one.

Callum absentmindedly invited Claudia and Viren.

Bait and Stella were the ring bearers

Terry helped a lot in crafting Raylas Moonshadow wedding.

Rayla picked under a waterfall for her wedding, unfortunately for her when the full moon came around the mosquitos came out.

Thinking about Soren in S 1-3. (Current character obsession, obvsly been studying the wiki too.)

How he's canonically the youngest crown guard in history, tasked to protect the king at the age of 18. How other soldiers already refer to him as sir, even if they're probably older than him. Quick Rayllum headcanon for you

Every time they travel and have to sleep in an inn or anywhere that isn't either Katolis Castle or their separate home, instead of having the usual couple thing of "who always has what side of the bed," Callum always takes the side of the bed closest to the door of the inn or wherever they're staying. And that's another way he protects her, making it so if anyone dangerous or if anything bad were to happen, he'd be shielding her from it first and foremost. This also doubles as helping Rayla feel safer and more comfortable in different and unusual environments, having him always being her first defense helps calm her anxieties and makes her sleep easier

This came to me out of nowhere
