The sun seed could’ve become a great relic. It could’ve brought light and life to the sunfire elves. All it needed was love, nurturing, and time.

But Karim wasn’t satisfied with that. He wanted the sunfire elves to revert back to a ‘simpler’ time, one of discrimination and animosity. He took the sun seed, a rare, powerful item, to heal Sol Regem. All to restore his civilization to a time long past.

Soren and Terry chasing after Claudia in the last episode cause they still want to get her back VS Corvus following cause he doesn't want Soren to deal with whatever might happen between him and Claudia on his own. (Can't leave his stubborn blonde husband alone frrr.)

Claudia releasing them when Soren couldn't breathe through the bindings (TT) She still loves her brither so much. And seeing him having trouble getting air probably reminded her of her older brother being sick in bed. ( Reminded her of dark magic healing him, but now it's hurting him.)

Also how it was only them on the stormspire, probably holding onto each other when Aaravos got kiled cause if anything they could only see a big explosion, with no idea if the rest was okay. If their friends were still alive.

God, claudia is one of the most tragic characters i've seen in a long time that scene of her screaming on the beach, give her voice actor all of the awards. If she doesn't get a redemption, if she's just written off as crazy evil girl like azula i will be so disappointed.

I think its imporant for the overall story as well. I mean claudia again and again is incapable of making a choice not when her mom ask her or when soren does. I mean she literally begging to be told what to do its why she's so easy for aravos to manipulate he continues to feed into the narrative viren told that led her down the path of dark magic and when viren just left her she was begining to doubt she asked terry if she should stop but he recognises the importance of it needing to be her choice.

I think her redemption is forshadowed in her dropping the corrupted staff to embrace terry, again i'll be so disappointed if she dies. Viren deserved retributation through death, claudia needs redemption.

By doing right by Soren, Viren ended up unintentionally doing harm to Claudia.

Even though Viren didn't give him the letter which I was both happy and sad about. Sad because their mom leaving sucks, but she was scared I just wished she tried to take them both but in the end I understand. Soren didn't need to see the letter and know the truth because it would have taken away all the confidence he built up while Viren was gone he would have broken. By simply telling Soren that nothing was his fault, and Viren simply admitting it was all him bring a sort of closure. It also makes it so Soren isn't forced to forgive his father who was both his savior and abuser.

On the other hand Claudia gets no closure she didn't have the understanding of why Viren did what he did, or why he changed his mind. She was literally left in the dark. Viren thought by leaving her she would be better off and make choices for the betterment of herself. Claudia did everything for family because that's what she believed Viren also did, but Virens actions became corrupted and selfish. Claudia needed the clarity of that letter in a way Soren didn't.

Claudia has only been positively reinforced to use dark magic to solve her problems. Think about how her support structure consists of Terry, Viren, and Aaravos. Viren always had Claudia's best interests at heart, until he leaves free of dark magic. As far as she's concerned dark magic kept her tied to her father, and Aaravos has also been whispering to her about all the benefits, dark magic had gotten Viren back to her not once but twice. Terry on the other hand is supportive of her no matter what, unfortunately that is both a blessing and a curse. He'll let her choose for herself, but Aaravos is shaping her so she'll follow a dark path and Terry is also made to follow because he loves her.

Claudia having no answers or insight from Viren forces her to stay in the dark, while that lack of clarity pushes Soren forward.

Rayllum memory loss fic idea:

You remember how, back in season 3's Dragonguard, when she decides to stay and fight, all Rayla asks of Callum is for him to 'remember her?'

What if, after Rayla leaves during the time skip between seasons 3 and 4, Callum suffers a severe head injury that leaves him with almost complete and total amnesia?

Everything is just gone: his name, his childhood, his parents, Ezran. Maybe even basic knowledge such as the names of the five kingdoms. The only scrap of memory he has, due to hand-wavy magic shenanigans, is his connection to the Sky Arcanum.

Luckily, he has a loving and strong support system in the form of Ezran, Soren, Corvus, Opeli, etc. They band together to help Callum recover from his injury and tell him stories about his past. Yet somewhere along the way they neglect to inform him about one Very Important Detail: Rayla.

It's not something they plan. But they look at this-this new Callum, light and carefree. They've already had to tell that him his mother and fathers are dead-it sparked nothing in Callum's mind and gave him nothing but a sense of loss and regret. None of them can bare to tell Callum that the girl he loved left him.

So life goes on. Callum slowly rebuilds his life: he reforges his brotherly bond with Ezran, becomes closer friends with Soren than he was pre-memory loss, regains his knowledge of magic via intense studying. Opeli puts him through prince lessons, and he excels at them in ways he never could before.

In addition to re-establishing his old bonds, he makes new friends too! One of them being Barius' niece, Taylor.

All in all, by the time of his seventeenth birthday, Callum's pretty happy with his life, and he's at peace with the fact it looks like his memory will never come back.

Then Rayla comes back.

Now, Rayla doesn't know what she was coming back to. Would Callum be happy to see her? Angry? Would he turn her away and tell her never to come back? A million scenarios are running through her head.

What she doesn't expect is for Callum to look at her like she's a stranger and ask her who she is.

At first she thinks he's joking around. A mean joke, but she gives it a pass. The longer he 'pretends' not to know her, though, the more hurt she gets until she's yelling at him.

In the midst of Rayla's ranting she brings up Ezran and Soren, and Callum is quick to go get them to clear up the confusion. Cue the king and his Crownsguard being overjoyed to see Rayla before their joy quickly shifts into horror, and they guiltily explain to Rayla the situation regarding Callum's memory.

Rayla experiences a myriad of emotions: horror that the boy she loves was hurt so badly, guilt that she wasn't there to help him recover, and grief that he no longer remembers her, let alone loves her.

Only of course she couldn't be more wrong.

Callum is drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Just looking at this beautiful elf girl makes him happier than he's ever been. His heart is racing, his stomach is doing flips. All he wants is to wrap his arms around her in an intimate embrace, and he only just manages to stop himself from doing so and limit himself to timidly holding her hand at random intervals.

Rayla is flustered by Callum's behavior towards her. Even her best case scenarios upon returning to Katolis didn't have him being so open and affectionate and, dare she say it, even flirty. She's torn between being pleased with the attention and feeling guilty because if he actually remembered her, there's no way he would be so welcoming.

Right...?

Cue the events of season 4 and beyond with an amnesiac Callum actively pursuing a reluctant Rayla.

I just wanted to share something with you guys: So, today I came across this image of Aaravos (probably from the trailer), and then I spent the next few seconds laughing to myself:

And "why is that?", you may ask...

Because the fireballs (and also Aaravos' expression) reminded me of THAT scene of Mongo: the Giant Gingerbread Man from Shrek

And it wasn't even the first time I saw that image (of Aaravos), but right now I can't look at it without hearing "Holding Out for a Hero" playing in my head.

I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in my own sense of humor ☠️

Thinking about Soren in S 1-3. (Current character obsession, obvsly been studying the wiki too.)

How he's canonically the youngest crown guard in history, tasked to protect the king at the age of 18. How other soldiers already refer to him as sir, even if they're probably older than him. (Who knows how long he's actually been a crownguard at the point of S1.) How king Harrow still dies despite his best efforts. How several other crownguards died during the assasination. How his dad then sends him to kill the two other persons he vowed to protect. How he decides to follow his own morals and vows instead. How he obviously still feels guilty about Harrows death, and admits so to Ezran. How he feels guilty about leaving Claudia but had no choice at this point.

How he then steps up again as a crownguard in the end, even ready to kill Viren to protect his king. Walking behind Ezran after the battle still ready to do his job desptite the traumatic experience he just went through and his sister dissapearing.

How he then becomes head of the Crownguard.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of feelings.
