Imagining a couple of guards seeing how casually Soren hugs and touches Corvus even just in passing, and they think “oh! Looks like Corvus is getting more comfortable with us in the Crownguard! That’s great!”

So next time they are all chatting one of the guards tries to rest their hand on Corvus’s shoulder he immediately moves away and give them a weird look.

They are people Corvus is close with, they are people he would consider friends and yet anytime someone other than Soren tries any level of back patting or friendly touch like elbowing its an immediate ‘no’ accompanied with a warning glare. But when Soren comes by and literally picks him up that’s perfectly fine, Soren’s allowed to do that.

Soren doesn’t seem to notice he’s the only one allowed to do that though, he’s wrapping his arms around Corvus’s waist and resting his chin on-top of his head without a second thought completely unaware that just an hour ago Corvus smacked someones hand for trying to touch his shoulder

My favorite Corvus headcanon is that he has a perfectly normal, healthy, happy family but he just liked to keep work and personal life separate

For anyone curious the Jelly Tarts from The Dragon Prince, are a real desert. They are called Hamentashen, and they don’t have to be filled with Jelly, they can also have a poppy seed, date, fig or chocolate filling, (at least those are the most common I’m sure there are more) and they are delicious.

And here are some I made with my family, it’s really not hard to make:

As you can see I’m not much of a baker, but they did taste good.

They are eaten on the Jewish holiday of Purim.

The jelly tarts fell apart in the oven🥲 But they tasted really good 😊

I used homemade feijoa jam for the jelly tart cause it was the only thing we had

I can't get over how Mystery of Aaravos just like reinvented Hamentaschen. Like I know that they can't name it the same thing for fictional universe reasons, but I do need everyone to know that that is a hamentaschen and it is an inherently Jewish thing. It's a Purim cookie and it literally represents the villains (Haman's) hat and/or ears depending on the language you speak

Those are hamentaschen. And it's not just a "wow I'm surprised to see that" kind of thing, I'm concerned that this will lead to hamentaschen being adopted by the goys. I'm already seeing it cause there are a bunch of videos and articles about how to make this fiction food, and it's hamentaschen. This is not a fiction food anymore than the donuts are.

And, I don't think it would be an issue at all if more people knew about hamentaschen. Then it would be just like the donuts where it's just a fun little joke that it's called something else and everyone still refers to them as donuts in discourse. Jelly tarts are treated like something that the show made up all on their own. Well i'm telling you now that they didn't. Those are Hamentaschen, a Jewish food.

Please, if you make them, do not act like it's something new, and do not just call them Jelly Tarts. find Hamentaschen recipes and call them hamentaschen, at least recognize that they are hamentaschen.

me and my sister baked jelly tarts for tdp’s 6 year anniversary!!

(ignore how they exploded in the oven, I promise they are delicious)

and this is the recipe we used for the dough incase anyone else wants to make them too. We didn’t make our own filling (because it isn’t berry season where we live) and used stored raspberry jelly and cinnamon plum jam, but a more solid jam/jelly seems to work better than the runnier one, for holding shape after baking
