Re-watched the Boba arc and RIP Ponds :(
-------------
They all feel it when Ponds' light in the Force is extinguished.
The voices that cry out from the 187th are the loudest, the loss of their commander a great blow.
Once all has been said and done, Mace Windu spends almost a full week out in deep space. Ponds looks like he's merely been sleeping, save for the blaster bolt in the middle of his forehead that made the Jedi sick to his stomach.
Mace sighs, and gathers up the body to place in a coffin that was stored carefully in the ship's hold. He doesn't always get a chance to bury his men, but when he does, it helps the sting of loss feel a little bit lighter.
His men are waiting when the Jedi finally returns, and he watches as Ponds is taken by his own to be buried on a small world they had been to once a long time ago.
Mace meditates in the barracks once the somber ceremony finishes, taking a page from Plo Koon's book to open himself up to the Force around his men. Their lights are dim as they mourn, and one by one Mace can feel them starting to surround him, as if drawing some strength from their general. When he opens his eyes sometime later, Mace realizes nearly all of his legion are sleeping or working, with the Jedi safely nestled in the middle as if he was the calm center of a storm.
Mace understands now why Plo loves his children, and closes his eyes once again.
He's not concerned about letting go, for Mace knows his men will be there to catch him.

Okay hear me out on this one.
Command batch get to go on a mission together, cause Cody missed his brothers and said pretty please to Kenobi. They all get cursed to temporarily hear others thoughts and are all panicking cause their deepest and most embarrassing secrets will be revealed which are as follows:
Wolffe loves and cares about and cherishes his brothers so so so so so so so so so much.
Cody had sex with his general multiple times but they haven’t kissed yet.
Ponds has several pet rocks, all with names and distinct personalities and boxes that he’s turned into little houses.
Bly has a crush on his general.
Fox is blackmailing and/or threatening at least half the senate and is attempting (unsuccessfully) to blackmail the chancellor.
Rex daydreams about bullying Skywalker like a middle schooler (swirlies, wedgies, ext.)
When they all stop panicking they take turns taking the piss out of each other about their various things. Not Fox though, he’s pretty damn close to getting clones rights but they do make fun of him for not knowing how the chancellor electrocuted him that one time. They are all still in the middle of the mission while this happens, so they’re hiding from the enemy and communicating half telepathically and half in sign language. Later they all individually start collecting rocks they think Ponds would like. Everyone starts giving Wolffe more hugs cause he’s too self conscious to ask. Fox is sent whatever blackmail material they can get their hands on.

See what Fox doesn’t remember is that it was his idea.

In a world in which Fox died saving the republic from Palpatine, the newly reformed government, maybe out of gratitude maybe out of a publicity stunt, decide Fox should have his own monument.
The corrie guard commanders are initially opposed to this ‘cause they know fox would despise the idea, and they don’t want to remember fox as some martyr, he was a person with thoughts and feelings not a symbol.
After a while though, the want for Fox to be remembered for what he did wins over. They are also promised a large amount of creative influence, unfortunately they have to agree to share this with Fox’s batchmates.
There is, understandably, a lot of friction and arguments during the design process. The Corrie Commanders despise Fox’s batchmates for what they perceive as Fox’s abandonment, they dont think the others have any claim on Fox. The command batch on the other hand are immensely guilt ridden and are torn between doubting their right to be involved and hating the idea that they don’t have a right.
They do come together eventually, after a lot of blood and tears. They may never fully like each other but Little Gods did they love Fox. They really cant help but see little fragments of their lost brother in each other and together they really do manage to capture Fox’s essence and create something even he would struggle to hate.
The monument they settle on is a slightly larger than life statue of Fox, showing him with a rather feral look in his eye and a grin as he flips the middle finger, which they position to face the senate building.
It sends the senators into fits but the Clones adore it and many bring their kids to see it over the years.

a cute thought i've had lately is that since the Guard likes to spoil other battalions while they're on leave with higher quality replacements, new foods, and small gifts like nail polish, the other battalions like to bring back photos of really interesting animals or pretty scenery, and sometimes even rocks and small plants (though that's harder to sneak) that they've seen throughout their battles. a really specific idea in my head is that one time, Ponds brought them an actual fish and a tank, which is one of Fox's most prized possessions, and inspired many new names and interests in marine life. i also like to think that the Guard has a hidden trophy room, where the more rare / difficult to obtain items (like the tooth of a very dangerous animal) are kept.

You all know the trope of the Corrie Commanders becoming increasingly closer and protective of Fox as the war goes on, and sometimes become even hostile towards the rest of the CC's.
That, but they are really just competing over who Fox likes more. Thorn and Cody have a fistfight about it on the streets.

Command batch going out for drinks- and Fox is invited.
They all sit around the table, with Fox trapped between Wolffe and Bly, and it’s all chill until Bly feels some weight on his side, and he’s quiet giggling from around the table. He looks to his side and finds Wolffe asleep on Fox and Fox asleep on him. They decide to just let the two sleep, figuring they either wake up (and go back to enjoying the night, or leave), or they don’t, either option’s okay.
Fox has woken up a few times, but Ori’vod Bly can tell he’s still tired so prompts him back to sleep.
By the end Bly’s carrying Fox, Rex’s carrying Wolffe, and they all go back to the guest barracks and have a cuddle pile.
Good ending:
Fox wakes up to a light breeze, feeling well rested, and cozily buried in the pile. He checks his comms and the Chancellor is dead. Thorn, Thire, and Stone, along with other commanders, and the Jedi, are able to make do without the command batch presently, so he’s able to sleep back into a light doze.
Bad ending:
Fox wakes up to his comm going off, annoying his brothers into kicking him out of the pile (they’re annoyed by the noise and it’s meant to be a joke dw) before Fox can get back in he realises he’s been summoned by the chancellor multiple times. He’s in deep shit. And he’ll feel it.
