small hc that Thire is the most foul-mouthed out of any Guard on Coruscant when he doesn’t think he’ll be heard by non-clones, and it really surprises non-Guard troopers. he gets it from Fox and the citizens he’s around, but Fox swears he has nothing to do with it and that Thire is just immature. this sort of adds to the “Thire slowly becomes more like Fox in every horrible way including taking his place” idea I have in my head too, but is nowhere near as angsty/depressing as the rest of what makes up the idea. well besides the arm-crossing and eyerolling habit they share.
#radio.static#thire and fox mean a lot to me. okay. thire’s entire life is a consequence#basically he becomes fox but nothing changed bc they’re both clones so thire was always fox. thire’s never passing a psych eval btw#commander thire#commander fox#lieutenant thire#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw tcw#tcw#sw#clone wars headcanons

I like the idea of Fox sending out Captains to do “loyalty checks” among GAR Battalions that are temporarily on Coruscant to ensure nobody is saying anything that would get them reported/investigated / possibly killed bc it sounds anti-Republic or treasonous in some way. basically the Coruscant Captains will go around as if they’re relaxing with the troopers (in any setting, the showers are not safe either), and try to goad them into saying something honest/incriminating. most of the GAR is aware of these checks and act accordingly to pass them, but some have to learn as it’s happening (most Captains or nearby troopers will start helping them out by going “No, you think…” or “You must be really tired to say…”). it’s still scary, even worse when a Commander is doing it. Fox says this is just to keep everyone safe from “insane politicians and conspiracy theorists that hate clones and just need a reason to kill them all”, and it unfortunately does end up reinforcing the brainwashing/propaganda/military mindsets/etc. i also like how it’s a genuine point of conflict/distrust between the Guard and GAR among their pretty positive/stable relationship.
#radio.static#there’s also other things i like about this idea: 1- how well it works with a no chip canon / 2- it makes corries fit +#the corrupt and creepy cops role way more / 3- allows more fives death angst bc corries can be like ‘well he should have learned !’#and bc i like the idea of the air becoming tense and cold when thorn is doing a Loyalty Check. he makes it very obvious you need to answer+#correctly or you’ll die within the night#commander fox#coruscant guard#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw#tcw#sw tcw#clone wars headcanons

most of the clones are emotionally stunted and bad at talking about their feelings but Fox is among the worst due to a lot of his speech being influenced by the types of politicians and criminals/prisoners he’s around, so whenever he tries, it comes out threatening. he would say, “i would hate for anything bad to happen to you…. so watch yourself….” with a completely dead expression and/or tone, and whoever he said that to is going to be checking over their shoulder for the rest of the day. he thinks he’s baring his heart to somebody and that somebody thinks he’s going to kill them and feed them to corridor ghouls (valid fear). thankfully this doesn’t happen that often because Fox would probably rather time travel to relive his life on Kamino before he’s vulnerable with anybody.
#radio.static#fox: life is so fragile…. all it takes is a second of hesitation …. / wolffe: i miss you too 😐#help fox talking like palpatine…. if someone ever told him that he’s doing ten sets of ‘i loved her’s in busy traffic#commander fox#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw#tcw#sw tcw#clone wars headcanons

as much as i love super overworked guardsmen with no free time, i like i when they have tend to have a little bit of free time due to Fox's plotting and generally great management of the duties they have. there are several times where the Commanders use their sleeping periods or meal periods to sneak into random places in normal clothes, just to see what those places are like. there's a 30 or 40 percent chance you can catch a pair of guardsmen hanging out in a market just browsing on most days. don't call them out. Fox and Thorn have snuck into plays and operas at least three times (and didn't like any of them). this also ties into my "the Guard secretly tests things out before letting the GAR troopers get involved"
#radio.static#fox: now that you're a commander you have commander duties. such as “investigating” this restaurant for the fifth time this month#i think they would bribe people more than simply sneak into a place... it would help with Fox's networking in the end#coruscant guard#commander fox#commander thorn#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw#tcw#sw tcw#clone wars headcanons

i don't like clonecest (or proship stuff if that's what you're putting it under) and none of my posts are made with that in mind, so people who like it / make fanwork of it, don't interact with my posts.
#radio.static#i originally wasn't going to make this post because i just block the people on everything but it's not really working

hc that Stone is really good at driving but also usually does it dangerously (he sees it as normal), so Fox, Thorn, and sometimes Thire do everything they can to prevent him from breathing in the direction of the driver’s seat. they’ll argue with him over it, they’ll launch themselves (or another trooper) an impossible distance to land behind the wheel, they’ll mess with the vehicle so it doesn’t start at all if they don’t actually need it (doesn’t usually work, Stone finds a way), Thire will actually lie and create actual issues of varying severity someplace else that needs Commander Stone’s Attention Right Now, Yes Sir, You Specifically, Nobody Else. Thorn’s passed out from Stone’s driving once, and makes sure he never forgets it. they’ve done this for so long that they’ve refined the process enough to the point where a lot of Guardsmen don’t even know that they’re being spared from anything.
#radio.static#commander crumple zone has something really cool he’d like to try real quick#stone and all of his squadmates from kamino are all like this btw. i think of CC-1010 and Fox as two different people in the same body, and so sometimes Fox will try to communicate via notes/videos/the other Commanders with CC-1010 to tell/ask it to stop sabotaging so many relationships or opportunities with his brothers in the name of being a “good soldier” (he doesn’t know about the other horrible stuff yet), as well as try to figure out why it even fronts/takes over in the first place. Sometimes CC-1010 is helpful (it was actually very helpful when Fox first found out about it) and communicates with or even through Fox, which makes him and others who know of CC-1010 hesitate to get rid of it in some way, since it must be here for a reason? right?? anyway i see it as both a coping mechanism turned control mechanism by Palpatine, but not that much since that honor goes to a different clone. i also hc that other clones go through either the same thing or something very similar, Neyo being a prime example.
#radio.static#sprinkles my dissociative disorder hc onto your pathetic man#coconsciousness between them is actual hell im not wishing it on anybody#if it ever happens. 1010 usually just sees stuff Fox wouldn’t do (aka would be a Bad Soldier about) and jumps in ASAP#commander fox#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw#tcw#sw tcw#clone wars headcanons

it would take a lot to make a clone stir-crazy, but it is worryingly common among the Coruscant Guard, so Fox and his Commanders had created several over complicated challenges, weird rules, and straight up obstacle courses that they update every so often, and sometimes make up problems on the spot that their more antsy men need to solve immediately, like “you need to (spins wheel) MAP OUT all the (throws a dart at a board) MID-LEVEL FOOD STALLS with (pulls name out of hat) YOUR ANGRIEST SERGEANT within (rolls dice) ONE HOUR or else!!!!!”, because they can’t just send the men off world for no reason. the Commanders have to reach out to the GAR sometimes to get ideas about what to have the men do next that can get more adrenaline out, and usually try to recreate battle/recon scenarios inside of their own training rooms from what they hear back, which i imagine instills some pride and amusement in the GAR troopers learning about that. and the Guard tasks usually get adopted by GAR Commanders when they have misbehaving or bored troopers that want something to do since Fox and his Commanders would need to explain why he wants this extremely detailed battle information.

hc that there are clone preemies, but it means clones that developed faster than expected and could be taken out of their tubes prematurely and continue growing while now being trained. It’s very uncommon and the clone is heavily monitored for several years due to physical/mental/social side effects, but is not outright decommissioned the second signs of this start showing up in the tube since this isn’t inherently a bad thing for business. Rex is one of these preemies, not that most people know that, and i think it would add to his “otherness” and the constant need to be perfect growing up, along with his hair. also because i see him as older than most clones and i wanted a more interesting and relatable way for that to happen.

totally self indulgent, i hc wolffe to barely be emotive with his face or his body most because he’s always been like that but also because of the loss of his eye severely hurting his confidence in movement, increasing the difficulty of things he used to be able to do smoothly, and the general pains that would come of moving your face at all after someone attacked it with a lightsaber, which spreads to not really moving his arms/hands/shoulders either (i assume the surrounding nerves are very damaged/sensitive/generally messed up for a while). he speaks less but more directly, and also more monotone. 70% chance that he will not visibly react to the best news of his life. this isn’t really a big deal to a majority of clones or even him outside of how much it hurt (always under-exaggerated) because it’s seen preferred for a Commander to be as stoic as him and as natural behavior after serving under someone like Plo Koon for long enough.

in the same vein of my last post and my “GAR brings souvenirs back for the Guard” hcs, the Guardsmen tend to ask their COs who then ask Fox to order/request GAR Commanders to bring them certain allowed items, and usually this is for official business (medical, repair, security, politics, etc.) so there will be records of it. Fox doesn’t always need to be the one to make the request (always needs to be aware and for it to be made an actual order though), the other Guard Commanders, Captains, and the medics can also do it as long as they get a Commander’s signature when needed. For the unofficial/illegal asks/requests, it’s basically the same procedure, except Fox is more likely to throw in some thinly-veiled threats and doesn’t report anything to any superior or non-Guard clone that wasn’t involved, so any records are just for himself to keep track of his favor system.
#radio.static#there’s a fine line between ‘making a senator feel at home’ and ‘actual bribery’ but fox can clearly see it lol and he’s NOT telling.#commander fox#coruscant guard#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#tcw#sw#sw tcw#clone wars headcanons

the coruscant medical clones tend to have more freedoms when it comes to what they do / can treat for obvious reasons, and they also get more chances to develop and help develop new cures, treatment methods, or discover certain things that are/aren’t actually cause for concern despite what they (clones) were told beforehand, but it’s almost always specifically for clones. while the planet is diverse (which helps them find more medical stuff out in the first place simply by talking to people) they have to reach out to (or more accurately, they’ll get Fox to) the GAR a lot of the time to get plants, animals, or other sorts of materials brought back that could help in creating things tailored to fit a clone’s health-related needs, like an anti-venom that’s naturally potent enough for them, or a type of injection that can reverse damage to their teeth or small bones in the wrist and ankle. this ties in to my “GAR troopers being stuff back as souvenirs for the Guard” hc too so that makes it more fun to play around with.

in line with my "GAR troopers sometimes bring souvenirs for the Guard to give them a taste of the wider galaxy" hc, a majority of the Guard has never left Coruscant (doubly so if you wanna stick with the "shock troopers were trained on Coruscant" canon), so if an animal that doesn't exist there suddenly gets seen by one of them, like someone's escaped pet or an animal being transported for another reason, it's a huge deal for a lot of them. im talking pictures spammed in chats, large patrol groups crowding near the reported area, it's brought up for several days afterwards, new names and tattoos based off the sighting, etc... the troopers who transferred into the Guard and Guardsmen that go off-world might not get as excited, it's a spectrum that depends on several things, so you may have Stone, Thire, Thorn not really caring for their own reasons, but Fox will be trying to subtly get up close pictures.

thinking of some of the corries having the duty of scaring visiting GAR troopers or other corries into traveling in groups, as is the (widely known and stressed) rule when it comes to traversing Coruscant. Fox and the other Commanders probably choose some Captains and Lieutenants to do extra patrols where they chase, threaten, and/or disturb any lone clones they find until the clone is at least with two others. or they send some bored ARF Scouts and their massiffs after them, because why not. maybe this is even a slightly-fun activity for some of the chosen scare-clones. it's mostly just amusing to me but i can see how it can also be used to fuel a GAR and Guard rivalry a lot of people like to explore, even when the GAR is aware of the reason here.

hc i have is that some clones don’t experience some feelings (body-wise, not emotionally) they should, but it’s a bit easy to have this go unnoticed (or underestimated in severity) all throughout their childhood since they’re raised super rigidly & in groups that learn to rely on each other to survive. this could be the side effects of mass producing a bunch of clones at once from a single guy. for example, fox doesn’t feel hunger, but was always fed at certain times and then followed his brothers to get food as he got older, and would also get food alone at those times bc it’s routine, so this was never picked up on, and that’s why he struggles so much with it on Coruscant. Monnk can’t tell when he’s in pain unless he looks at the injury/reason, but constant routine of checking over himself (plus a natural response to feeling something touch you lol), basic first-aid training, the fact that his blood would have floated nearby in water if he was bleeding, and being surrounded by brothers who care and will tell him to seek medical attention let him coast on by to adulthood. stuff like that made it easy to just not notice it when a clone wasn’t exactly what Kaminoans wanted lol.
#the author’s barely disguised autistic projection#radio.static#monnk will notice if he’s slashed but the pain will wait until he’s finished his ration THANKS.#wolffe almost has the same thing going on as monnk but it’s just a really high pain tolerance that’s very worrying#commander fox#commander monnk#star wars#the clone wars#star wars the clone wars#sw tcw#tcw#sw#clone wars headcanons

been liking the idea of Fox not actually being helpful when it comes to questions about what to eat on Coruscant despite having tried out several new types of food compared to most clones. one day Wolffe asks him to introduce him to a brand new meal since he’s going to Coruscant soon, and Fox just sends a picture of a deep fried cigarette and an energy drink that has a concerning glow. wolffe warns his men not to eat anything the guardsmen want them to try.

if the Guard's silly rumors about Fox's villainous acts ever somehow became known to a small section of the general public it would only be a matter of time before people start also saying random evil things fox didn't do. of course this is Bad, but in a world where nothing bad happens and everything is beautiful,
