so even though fandom/hameron shippers/etc tend to take it as a Canon Fact, chase is actually the only person to suspect that fwb-era cameron is trying to make house jealous. he brings it up repeatedly, in top secret and fetal position. chase is generally speaking perceptive and tends to be pretty spot on about cameron in particular, but cameron actually doesn't seem too concerned with house's feelings — she's a little bothered, but also very much keeps sleeping with chase after house knows, even if getting a reaction from house was the goal… well, cameron failed, and isn't too upset about it. cameron never pursues house after s1 (and from s1 we know she would have if she felt she had a chance), and yet chase alone is sure she is madly in love with him.

half wit: quick and not a big deal, but when the kids show up at house's to tell him he doesn't have cancer, foreman has a line about how house should be "making out with cameron" and chase gives him a quick, unhappy look. i wouldn't call this unncessarily jealous tbh, but it does show that he's already worried about this.

no more mr nice guy: maybe house has an std, and chase is worried cameron slept with him. i'll cut him some slack, i think it's fair that he ask her… but not in front of literally everyone they know, and not the way he did, where he takes her refusal to answer as "proof" they slept together and is in a clear snit the rest of the episode. especially because he knows they never slept together; cameron says as much, in his presence, in half wit. and even if they had, it would have been long before he and cameron got together, so … whatever. but once again, chase is going around acting like he's in a love triangle when he truly is not.

saviors: chase briefly floats the idea that cameron is in love with house when he's trying to figure out why she's ghosting him. he doesn't seem all that concerned about it, or all that convinced of the theory. i kind of give him a pass for this one -- he's trying to figure out why she's ghosting him and has a right to be upset about it -- but again: when chase is feeling insecure, he immediately jumps to cameron wants house, not me.

under my skin: chase's problem with the sperm is that he very clearly takes it as "cameron cares more about her dead husband than me." we see he spends most of the episode arguing that "she has [him] now," "she found someone [himself]", she likes "him" better. he eventually shifts this to "she doesn't really want to marry me, she isn't sure about us." i don't know if i'd say he's jealous of her dead husband, but he's absolutely insecure and, as usual, assuming he's cameron's second or third choice. luckily, this time chase gets over it pretty quickly and does the right thing (realizes she's obviously not in love with her dead husband, and just has trouble letting go).

lockdown: the big one! chase immediately moves the goalposts from i murdered a guy and my wife left me to my wife actually never loved me in the first place. this is a huge fucking retcon, but sadly it's completely in line with chase (and even he later admits, in the episode, that "if you never loved me, i never did anything wrong", that it is self-protection and he knows it is not true). but as usual, when chase is feeling insecure, he jumps straight to cameron wanted anyone but me. (in s3, foreman makes a whole point about how cameron dumping chase is out of character because when has cameron ever been apathetic?; funny how in lockdown chase falls into the same trap again.)

in a very lukewarm defense of chase: considering his parents and his own issues, i do sympathize a little with him; he is used to love needing to be earned and conditional and being taken away, i think he probably really does feel like he's second or third best for cameron and worries she, like his parents, will eventually leave him because he isn't good enough for them. that said, boy is he a jealous little baby sometimes, and it is not one of his better qualities.

one thing that i think is clear about nam-gyu's character as he's presented in the show is that he hatesss being seen as weak or being associated with weak people, scared that it might reflect back on him. it always seems like he's overcompensating to look stronger (joining in on the fight with thanos when they had mg coin on the floor even though... he looks like he barely knows wtf he's doing and he ??? falls??? myung-gi was already on the ground 😭), lecturing min-su and trying to reaffirm to himself and others that he was strong before the pentathlon to 'not fear death' even though he was literally just as fucking scared and shaking and had to take a pill to calm himself lmao, and then referring to the other players as "cockroaches" after the pentathlon and trying to exert himself over min-su for no reason at all (and then we even got to see that nam-gyu was the only other person besides min-su that didn't get their game done on the first try lol...)

he seems so emotionally constipated, repressed, and terribly insecure about how he's perceived by others, that i just don't see him ever wanting anyone to see him cry, especially not a situationship / girlfriend / partner.

i honestly don't even see him being the type to even let himself cry. tbh, i get some vibes of toxic masculinity in the way he acts, since he's shown to be desperate to control / exert himself over others using aggression and intimidation, as well as how often he feels the need to suppress his "bad" emotions (fear, sadness, insecurity) and come off as confident and strong. this is straying to my own headcanons here but idkkk he just seems like the type of guy to believe in some bullshit like 'crying = weak', preferring to just bottle everything up and pretend it doesn't affect him. he seems like the least vulnerable guy ever.

then, if his partner were to ever see him in a vulnerable state, i think he'd be horrified and reject any attempt at comfort / connection. he seems like the type of guy to hate the idea of someone pitying him. i think he'd just want to be alone and deny it / shut it down immediately if you tried to bring it up after the fact

when thanos died in the show, he was very obviously upset, and idk, watching the closest thing you have to a friend—in a game where you've nearly died three times—bleed out in front of you seems like... a pretty valid reason to cry, imo! and even then he denies feeling upset, pretends he doesn't care at all, and just takes the pills in an attempt to ease his mind.

though, i think if he were without the comfort of the pills, he would've actually cried, or at the very least teared up.

i think to get him to actually cry, it'd likely have to be over something big with the right conditions, like him being alone or with little to no distractions.

so, death, for one. we already saw him get close with thanos's death. i could see him losing it over the death of a family member or a close friend

(headcanon here, but i don't think he had the best relationship with his family when growing up. like, look at how he behaves. hence why he's so insecure and desperate for attention / someone to latch onto in the events of s2. despite this, i think he'd still yearn for their attention / approval, and the death of a family member would kind of cement the fact that he no longer has the chance to impress them / prove to them that he's special or worthwhile. he seems very hung up on gaining the respect of those that look down on him, eg. thanos)

though, i could see him still trying to pretend he's above crying and play it up in front of other people, acting as if he just grieves differently. though when he's alone with no one to perform for, that's when he'd really cry. i could see him being mad about it the whole time, though, laughing / yelling at himself and trying to pretend that there's not tears coming out of his eyes. i don't think he'd want to admit to even himself how much he's affected by it. he'd put off the grief and try to keep going about his life until it caught up to him one day and hit him full force

abandonment

bro seems starved of any and all forms of love and attention. i could see him having a pretty deep fear of abandonment. in the show, he seems very hesitant, timid, and unsure when he's on his own, always following someone and waiting for them to take the lead on things / be there to back him up before he does anything. he does nottt strike me as someone who's independent, capable of making his own decisions confidently, or operating without the validation of others.

if he were to be abandoned / given up on by someone he cares about (whether they respect him or are genuinely good to him or not), i could see this being another thing that pushes him to the edge and makes him cry. he seems like the type to desperately try to avoid / deny his need for affection, but if he's truly abandoned (especially after swallowing his pride and trying to keep someone in his life), it'd act as a constant reminder of his overwhelming desire to be loved to the point where he can't keep avoiding it, though he'd once again try to mask his tears with anger and try to convince himself that he didn't gaf about said person to begin with

from a romantic standpoint, i could definitely see him going especially apeshit over a romantic partner that decides to leave him, especially since said romantic partner is likely one of the few people in his life he's allowed himself to depend on and display some level of vulnerability with. based on how he acts in the events of s2, he doesn't seem like he'd be the sweetest or most emotionally mature boyfriend in the world, so it'd probably cause him to spiral, knowing that it was his own issues that led to his relationship ending.

bad trip

considering his substance abuse and the way he acted after thanos died, he most definitely uses drugs as a means of coping and avoiding his emotions so he doesn't have to deal with or acknowledge them. i could see him doing this, having a bad trip, and then coming out the other side feeling like shit and having to grapple with the fact that he's still alone, still bruised from whatever negative experience happened to him, and still right back to where he started emotionally. i don't see him knowing how to deal with his own feelings in a healthier way, so if that coping mechanism fails to make him feel better and forget about things, i could see him crying over that and just feeling worse about himself and the situation once he comes down from it.

insecurity

clearly, nam-gyu has a lot of insecurities and is unsure of himself. he has a specific image that he wants to uphold, and doesn't like when he's called out. if someone were to directly harp on these insecurities, it would definitely set him off. however, he's clearly used to this behavior, as rjw said nam-gyu's been disrespected for basically his whole life, so i think for him to actually cry over it, it'd have to be something that cuts particularly deep and/or is said by someone he perceives to have some sort of importance or agency in his life and how he views himself. for example, a family member or partner expressing their disappointment in him or being embarrassed by him.

ok now to narrow it down to just specifically what would make him cry within the context of a romantic relationship bc i think that's more what you were asking:

being abandoned for real; knowing that it's his fault and that he pushed you past a breaking point and it's completely out of his hands whether you come back or not

jealousy; feeling like you genuinely like someone better than him or would actually leave him for them, especially if it's someone more 'successful', 'normal', and well-adjusted, with a better relationship with their family. things that he's not and doesn't have. i could see him imagining what it'd be like if you were to be with them instead, and how much easier and more 'acceptable' your life would be without him. he seems like he would never admit this while sober but would become more open about it when he's on drugs and being unable to stop himself from crying / showing you how much it affects him

after a particularly bad / intense fight, especially if either you or him threw some harsh words at each other. though, he'd wait til he was alone to cry

feeling like he's disappointed you or has done something that has altered your relationship forever, something that he can't come back from or fully fix / gain your trust back no matter how hard he tries or what he does (eg. maybe if he stole your money for drugs, lost your money by investing it into crypto lol, made a bad impression on your parents / family because he couldn't control himself)

The fact that you went out of your way to actually buy him something makes him feel special.

Doing it just because without expecting anything grand in return.

If you give him flowers in private, he puts up less of a fuss.

“I'm not sick or anything, you know. Besides, you could've just plucked some weeds instead of spending so much money.” He says after (not so) begrudgingly taking the small bouquet from you.

Already knowing they won't last more than a week in his care. But still trying to hide the heat rising to his cheeks.

But if you give him flowers in front of his friends, namely Kuwabara, he makes a big show of it.

“What am I? A girl? Or did you just wanna take on gardening, because there's no way in hell you actually got me flowers.”

You end up calling him a jerk before leaving.

And he feels really bad after.

Despite his tough guy act, he genuinely does care about you and hates to see you upset. Especially when it's because of him and his big mouth.

So he shows up later to your house with an even bigger bouquet of roses.

“I'm sorry for being an ass. I didn't mean it I just…didn't want- Well, Kuwabara would never let me live it down.” He tries to explain.

But you weren't buying it, judging by how you still hadn't opened your door all the way. So he tries to apologize again the only way he knows how.

“I'll take you out wherever you want for a week if you let me in?” He says hopefully.

“That's not enough. You really hurt my feelings today.”

“Two weeks. And I'll buy you flowers every day. Your favorites~ sunflowers.”

He keeps true to his word and makes sure to always accept whatever you gift him with a huge smile from now on.

GMMTV 2025 Riding the Wave first thoughts

We have 15 or 16 BLs, 2 GLs, one mixed het and BL and 1!!! het series. GMMTV really said we don't give a shit about straight people anymore and I'm so here for it.

Dare You to Death: Messy teen slasher meets murder mystery BL. Feels a little bit like two stories mushed together in the pilot trailer but very interesting concept. I'm quite neutral about JoongDunk but the story looks fun. Will almost certainly be watching.

Head 2 Head: Bad Buddy with fashion design students who are also car racers and one of them has visions of the future? There's a lot happening but tbh none of it really caught my attention. Haven't seen SkyKeen before and JavaSurf are new so I have zero opinions on them. I'll wait for the official trailer to make a decision about this one.

Burnout Syndrome: Love triangle kinda but make it serious. Directed by Nuchy, looks a bit darker and mature. OffGun + Dew as second lead looks intriguing especially because there seemed to be more romance shown between Dew and Gun than Off and Gun. This will probably be good. Not necessarily hyped but will definitely watch.

I Love "A Lot Of" You: The only exclusive BG show in this lineup about a guy trying to make all 5 personalities of a girl fall in love with him. Nanon and Mind of 4Eve. Looks very good actually. But it's a straight romance and so far I haven't seen anything that would make me watch anyway. Will probably not watch.

Whale Store xoxo: Down on her luck grocery store owner meets manic pixie dream girl errand girl. Happy for MilkLove to have graduated from school, MewnichJune with history looks promising. Not necessarily hyped but will definitely watch.

Only Friends: Dream On: Season 2 of Only Friends, this time centered around a theatre production. EarthMix as exes, JossGawin and OhmLeng. This is all I ever wanted. I'm so here for this. I would watch anything with EarthMix without hesitation but this has me extremely hyped. Will definitely watch.

That Summer: Troublemaker meets amnesiac prince in seaside setting. Neutral about WinnySatang, looking forward to NeoMint, hyped about MondRyu. Looks good but doesn't really catch me. Will probably be watching for Mond in a BL role finally.

My Romance Scammer: Two rich boys marrying scammers. They are making full use of marriage equality already. JuniorMark look good, Gmmtv went for OhmFluke and it's hilarious, they also look good. Looks like fun. Will almost certainly be watching.

Melody of Secrets: Mystery with murders and unreliable memories. Gives Hannibal vibes a little. (Which doesn't really work in its favour because Hannibal is on another level) Not a ForceBook fan but the plot seems interesting. Will wait for official trailer but probably watch for the fandom speculation.

Love You Teacher: Elementary school teacher who hates kids has to care for his amnesiac, age-regressed partner. Directed by Dome. Looks very fun. PearthSanta look good. They're gonna have to walk a fine line here with the whole age regression thing but I trust in Dome. Will be watching.

MU-TE-LUV: 7 Stories centered around Thai supersticious activity. Too many people in this for me to list. Will wait to see how much the stories are intertwined or if they're all separate from each other. Looks like fun. Definitely seated for the Fluke, Lego, Yacht, Neo story, the two BL stories didn't really catch my attention, some of the straight ones seemed more interesting. Will wait for official trailer for anything except the FLYN part which I'm super excited for.

Cat for Cash: Debt collector can understand cats, helps new owner to manage cat cafe. Family drama happens. I like FirstKhao but tbh the trailer bored me a little. (Pls don't kill me FK stans). Will wait for official trailer, might binge after it's done.

Girl Rules: Jojo directing basically Only Friends lesbian edition. Although mostly MilkLove and NamtanFilm seem to be mixed up, ViewMim seem to be doing their own thing. Gmmtv turning up the heat on the GL side. This looks very fun, I'm here for it. Will watch.

Boys in Love: Three high school couples and some gay teachers to round it out. Don't know any of these kids and tbh didn't even realise until the end that there were three couples. Looks like a nice high school BL, but I'm probably too old for this. Will probably watch for Podd and Papang.

My Magic Prophecy: Doctor x fortune teller with some mystery and escaping to the country side. JimmySea romance storyline didn't really catch me but the mystery plot seems interesting. 2 seconds of TeeFranc look intriguing. Will wait for official trailer but will probably watch for the mystery.

A Dog and a Plane: Scruffy first responder x prim flight attendant who's getting cheated on by his pilot boyfriend. This looks extremely fun. TayNew and MarcPoom has me seated. Jojo directing again. Second most hyped show for me. Will definitely watch.

Me and Thee: Teaching an out of touch mafia boss how to court someone. Looks like a lot of fun. PondPhuwin seem to alternate between uni and mafia, good for them. Directed by X. Will almost definitely be watching.

Wu: Probably BL but could also be bromance, the Pilot wasn't definitive but from the discussion afterwards I'm leaning towards BL. Either way, down on his luck athlete fated to protect supernatural fortune teller kinda guy. This story seems to be in its early developement stage still but SkyNani/NaniSky has my full attention and what we've seen of the concept so far looks very promising. Looking forward to this. Will be watching.

Memoir of Rati: Period BL, translator of French diplomats falls in love with some sort of nobleman. IFYLITA vibes. GreatInn are a perfect fit for a period BL. AouBoom look promising as well. Personally not a big period drama enjoyer but this looks very good. Will almost definitely be watching.

Ticket to Heaven: Return of Aof, based on real events, slight period + heavy christianity. Aof is angling for his next award with this one. Looks very good, more queer cinema than BL. Not the biggest fan of GeminiFourth but they're talented and this will be really good probably. Have to watch it for my ultimate bias Aof, anyway. Will be watching.

Overall thoughts: 16 out of 20 BL is crazy, so much for the fear that Gmmtv will switch to focus on bromance. Would have liked some more GL but what we're getting looks good. In general this lineup has me very excited. There's not a single pilot that made me instantly say "Nope" this time. Even the one single straight show which I'll probably skip, looks very good. We're getting a good variety of genres and moods as well. Also not a single remake afaict.

The new BL trend for 2025 seems to be superstition and mystery. I'm very happy with that.

I don't know much about technology tbh but i downloaded this app less than 30 mins ago and in that time google tried to track me 112 times?? And they tried to collect finger prints? And my first and last name? And my gender? And my country, state and city? My gps coordinates? My postal code? My network carrier? My fricking battery level for whatever reason? Can you please tell me if this is normal at all, because i'm freaking out right now. I just turned 18 and started using mobile banking and stuff and this shit scares me

And yeah, I'm very far from an expert about any of this, but as far as I know that's just. Normal. That's the normal amount of spying they're doing on your phone. I assume the numbers we see are to some extent because having been foiled, a lot of these scripts try repeatedly, since I can't imagine what use thousands of trackers per phone would be even to the great aggregators.

Tracking the phone stuff like screen resolution and battery level is because (apart from that definitely not being considered remotely 'private' so it's Free Real Estate) in aggregate that data can be used to track what phone use patterns are like on a demographic scale and therefore. Where the smart money is.

Almost all of this is getting sold in bulk for ad targeting and market analysis. This does presumably make it very hard to notice when like. Actually important stuff is being spied on, which is why I feel better about Having Apps with the duckduckgo app blocker thing.

My bank's app reportedly sells data to a couple aggregators including Google. Not like, my banking info, but it's still so offensive on principle that I avoid using the app unless I have to, and force stop it afterward.

The patterns that show up on the weekly duckduckgo blocker report are interesting. Hoopla attempts about two orders of magnitude more tracking than Libby, which makes sense because they're a commercial streaming service libraries pay by the unit for access, while Libby is a content management software run by a corporation that values its certification as a 'B' company--that is, one invested in the public good that can be trusted. The cleanness of their brand is a great deal of its value, so they have to care about their image and be a little more scrupulous.

I feel super bad because Valentino is a character I really like visually and conceptually but he is such a horrible character.

I love Moths, moths are my favourite insect probably, so a character inspired by moths is already up there for me (I wish Vaggie had a better moth motive tbh) PLUS I love the whole Heart theme he also has going on, I feel like it actually justifies him being red, and the purple makes a really nice analagous color scheeme.

Then there's his POTENTIAL as a villain. Out of all the Vees he is the one who clearly has a more presonal conection to a main character of the cast (Vox and Alastor just have weir beef with eachother, and Velvette has no relation with any of our main cast) and I feel like if he wasn't written like a volatile stupid clown (Cause let's face is in all his scenes he is either super dumb, or super agressive) but more of a suave manipulative person that doesn't inmediatly come across as an abuser but more of a smart manipulator. He could possibly be one of the best antagonists in the show. There are a lot of stuff about him that make me go "Yeah I like this character" but I also feel like I can't say I like him because people will think im a rape apologist, which I'm not. I just like his design and potential, I don't condone his actions at all and obviously Angel doen't deserve to be trapped with him.

It's just the fandom/criticdom is so strict that I feel like the moment you compliment/like Valentino for whatever reason they all jump at you and consider you a rapist by defect. When people don't do this with let's say Alastor, who is ALSO an abuser, yet people never hate on his fans for "Being slave owners" or "having control/powerhungry fantasies" or whatever. I find it very hypocritical and double standarish, if I'm honest.

Yeah, liking Valentino is a double edge sword. If Valentino’s whole personality wasn’t a rapist personified then I’m sure at most or half of the fandom would openly like him. I do see YouTube comments walking on eggshells when it comes to him.

Even I will admit when watching the show with my brain off, Valentino was at least top 5-10 characters I enjoyed. At the end of the day, me personally I don’t care if people like or compliment Valentino. You can obviously like an evil character and still acknowledge they are bad.

Though, there are some people in the standom who are very protective and say very questionable things regarding Valentino which do not help their case. Obviously there are bad actors in the fandom who go way too far.

Valentino is supposed to be a suave manipulator:

💀 But the show doesn’t illustrate that aspect. Season 1 just showed a man-child rapist who complains and beats up his sex slave any chance he gets. He has so much potential. Valentino could’ve been the Slade of the Vees. Getting into the Hazbin Hotel squad’s heads, planting seeds of doubt: especially to Angel Dust. Indirectly cause drama in the hotel, the possibilities are endless.

The difference between Alastor and Valentino is the way they conduct and interact with their slaves. Valentino uses any chance to beat, exploit, rape Angel Dust. Valentino is super aggressive and annoying to deal with. Alastor is also a loser but he has a prim, proper, mysterious reputation to uphold.

Alastor’s interaction with Niffty and Husk are practically nonexistent. When Niffty and Alastor do interact, they are pretty chill so far. Husk and Alastor’s only interaction is in episode 5, where Husk expresses concern about Mimzy to Alastor and brushes Husk off. Alastor teases and mocks Husk similarly to another overlord (wink, wink nudge nudge) does to him. Then Husk exposes Alastor’s ass, causing him to forcibly use the chain and threaten him.

Whether you see Alastor threatening and dragging Husk with chains is abuse is up to you guys. You guys can argue about it. Me personally, I want to wait because Husk, Alastor, and Niffty’s dynamic is so nonexistent that’s hard to put a read on how Alastor treats them especially Husk. The other big difference is that Valentino is rapist and Alastor isn’t.

So okay there's some arguments i hear from people why Home x Wally is not valid ship, so i decided to explain these and try to counterargument them! If you have an argument of your own feel free to write it in the comments :3

1)"This is incest! They like father and son to each other"

Canon of the show is that Wally didn't know Home before the he moved into him and also he like. A Building. If we're going to build on the show's lore Its would be just popular headcanon. Just because you see them as parent and child doesn't meen everyone does く⁠コ⁠:⁠彡

Some people are like to thing that Home is a creator of the show/his soul in there. I get it too, this theory KINDA makes sense, but still... We didn't see Wally acting like Home is his creator/getting revenge on Home for make their life hell (you can count worshiping as a sight but evidence is too weak), they are pretty chill with each other! Plus, it doesn't explain why Home is doesn't like humans, and from new update we learn that Welcome home is another world, so this theory is 99,99% is false i think

2) "Home is a building!"

Eah. LIVING building. With emotions and fears. Home is fully aware and sentient, it just so happened to have a different body then the rest of the puppets

3)"Home is abusive/evil!"

I understand why some people see them having Dynamic like this, but honestly I never saw it as inherently abusive? Maybe Wally is actually obsessed with Home, or maybe it’s the opposite, or they’re both crazy about each other, but it could also just that they act the way they do because of their self awareness. I do also think they’re overprotective of each other as well.

First. Wally/Barnaby isn't confirmed canon. Yes, there have been many, and I mean MANY, hints at this ship. I personally think that in fact in near future it is going to be canon. Second. Im still allowed to do whatever i want with them. They are my comfort ship, they make me happy and it doesn't hurt anyone.

So, what's conclusion?

People like to think that their personal disliking of the ship is a valid point to bully shippers. They would make TONS AND TONS of excuses just to make others dislike it too. "They like son and father!", "They are abusive!", "This is proship, its gross!' despite not having evidence at all. Idk why ppl so scared to say "I don't personally like Home/Wally, its not for me" and go with their lifes. It much easier then to digging internet searching for art of them two and then show it to others saying: " LOOK HOW GROSS IT IS!!! SHIPPERS OF THIS SHIP IS TOTALLY UNHINGED!!!! The Karai / Miwa character concept in tmnt is interesting- but I wish it was done well often or more (mainly in 2012)

The main character of Karai is to be known as shredder’s daughter, teen or adult, a fierce ninja warrior. It gives a branch of possibilities for how shredder’s like familial in relationships, is the shredder the type to use her as a weapon to fight off the turtles? Or does he actually care about her, but he doesn’t want to get too close to her. Because, if something happened to her, he would blame it on himself for it. or it would just make him blame on the turtles more, or more specifically hamato yoshi.

For the miwa hamato twist- it’s kinda a bit cliche? Like- oooo shredder’s daughter is actually yoshi’s kid, his main enemy all long! I mean yeah you don’t see that often- I think- but meh tbh? I mean it can be interesting, but idk how to explain a lot abt it more except the karai part.

Okay- No hate but, 2012 karai to me is just- there? Of course she’s a good character by herself and stuff- but story? It’s kinda lacking a bit- like- it’s not empty, but barely. But Of course that’s just me and how I think!

Karai as a character is cool- so I hope if future iterations use her, they take inspiration from 2003 or rise!, I like the gram gram karai LOL 💀

You're completely right about this being such an obvious opportunity to explore Shredder as a Father / parent and how that either does or doesn't influence certain aspects of Karai as a character ! I think honestly the most interesting take on this is the '03 version, considering what Shredder turned out to be in this version, you know? 👀✨

And I have to agree- I think you're right about Karai just existing for the lot part in 2012. This is why I say 2012 Karai deserved a lot better. In my opinion, I don't think that there wasn't a story going for her, but I think the show constantly took away focus from it,, So she really did end up being just there or being used as a replacement antagonistic plot device when Shredder wasn't available (Or other main villains-). This felt the most apparent in Seasons 3-4 to me personally. But I do think a story was there for her-

Being caught up in not only a sibling rivalry between her Father and her Uncle but a generational feud, being manipulated into almost assassinating her biological Father and by extension her younger brothers who she didn't even know she had, the fact that she was being encouraged to assassinate anyone as a 16 year old girl in general (And the long-lasting trauma that would be inflicted upon her if she had found out about the truth after she had assassinated them or just her Father-), being continuously hurt over and over again after finding out the truth via forced mutation AND forced mind control by her Uncle- Karai having to muster up the mental and emotional courage that it takes to unlearn a bunch of horrible shit that she were honestly trained to believe for 16 consecutive years of her life practically by herself, and even then having the people that she wants to prove herself to the most still not fully trusting her / fully accepting her as one of them (Their sister-).

All of these things are so captivating to me and had so much potential to give her a more thought out narrative within the series- But no. These writers don't care about Karai at all. If you're not the Turtles (Mainly Leo) or April, then "too bad". It makes me so pressed, I swear. 🙃 Lmao

I think the best way they could have developed Karai's relationship with her Brothers and vice versa is if they were able to find her during the Season 2 finale and take her with them to the O'Neil's Farmhouse (Also like a context for Splinter got to go with them as well, maybe even Irma with my interpretation of her character outside of canon too !). Having all of those months to really be around Karai and honestly be the reason why she started to regain her humanity would've been fantastic to see. I also think it would have been helpful if Leo was still in his coma (As messed up as it is to say- Lmao), since it would allow the other Brothers (Raph / Donnie / and Mikey-) to actually form a relationship with her without Leo kind of shoehorning his way in every time- 💀

I'm also super biased when it comes to Raph in this scenario, because I really feel like him and Karai share a lot of similarities as people and it would have been great if those two in particular were super close (in my opinion)- In pretty much every AU that I have, those two are either be super close off rip, or they have the most formative sibling relationship Arc (Like my Adventure Time + 2012 crossover AU for example-) ! I know I'm probably biased, but it's something I really really wanted to see and I'm really upset that it didn't happen, so I'm making it happen fanonly- 😤✨

I don't know if you guys have heard the song "Yucky Blucky Fruitcake" by Doechii but that song is literally 2012 Karai and Raph to me. The second half of that song?? Sorry, but if said work is supposedly professional work but carries horrible messages, I think it's completely fair to find your own project better??? I'm not going to pretend that an ableist show like MP is good just because I created a story with a lion theme too. That's why I will always support fans of a show/media creating their own original stories. I think in some cases it's much better than just stopping at creating alternate universes.

For example, there is a popular franchise about wizards that, in addition to having several harmful messages and a shit universe, has a old rag bigot as it writer.

And while there will be people who will try to "fix" this story with fanfics and AUs, whether they like it or not they will still continue to give relevance to it and it's writer. I think everyone should just get over it and create their own wizard story if they like it so much. That's what I did. And while my writing isn't the most perfect, I can spend hours shitting on this writer's work and while I actually try to improve my own.

I don't know why people have this idea that Tribble is somehow this unspoken deity of lion media that we must give thanks to every time we say grace or whatever because the fact of the matter is that she doesn't own any of the tropes she utilised for MP. There's no ultimate creator of such broad, generic tropes to give credit to. lol

and tbh? I feel we've done things differently enough by this point for people to stop complaining about how a) we "ripped off" MP and b) we speak ill of the show and their senpai.

We give Tribble credit and we're transparent about MP's influence over IHS. That should be satisfactory enough.

And what you've said about the wizard series we won't name and its creator can very much apply to Tribble too. She isn't a nice person, and she held problematic opinions. Like Cat said previously, our opinion of her is very much formed by first hand experience or by what we've heard from people who used to work for her.

So, yes, we disassociated from her and her show entirely by taking our AU and making our own thing with it. It's something that people do all the time. We didn't want to throw away what we deemed a fun concept and a lot of hard work because Tribble decided to be awful.

So, this has the potential to be a really good image! Unfortunately, it's a little hard to formally verify anything I see in it.

Here are the potential problems:

All platypuses are wild animals, and generally unsuited to being pets. I want to assume that most exotic pet owners have ethically sourced and well-cared-for animals, but unfortunately, a lot of them just aren't. Most people don't know how to properly care for wild animals, and a lot of exotic pets are poached.

I'm Unsure that the plaidypus is in a safe position; someone who knows more about their spines weigh in.

There is some debate about whether plaidypus fur harvesting is actually ethical, since it's often stressful for the plaidypus! If it's a pet animal, though, you can probably easily pick up naturally shed skins. (Also, to be honest, it seems like a lot of the people who hate plaidypus skin harvesting have no problem with factory farming.)

On the other hand:

Is your local Ford Pines a biologist like the rest of them are? That gives a lot more credence to proper care.

Plaidypuses are much friendlier than platypuses. I've heard they'll do the cat thing and just walk into your house and decide they live there. (To my understanding there are a lot more plaidypuses in 04'\ than in most other dimensions, since we have higher ambient Weirdness but aren't actively collapsing into Entropy.

It isn't wearing a harness or anything. It could probably just leave if it wanted to.

I've never really been a fan of Marebekah (although I do enjoy a lot the characters), and honestly, since I've never watched TO, I have 0 thoughts about Freelin (but from what I've gathered, they just happened out of the bat).

I know you already said you don't care for the individual character enough to change their plot/history, but still, since i know you're not a fan of the former either, do you plan on let them go their separate ways, or to just give them the same treatment you gave to Kolvina — aka, keeping them together but only giving them scenes that are important for the plot? (assuming that they have any).

The same question goes for Freelin, too, of course!! from what I've heard, they're quite problematic, too, even if not as much as Marebekah. Now, since Kreelin was only useful from the venom (or at least, I believe so? I mean, she's not even a Crescent) do you plan on bringing her back and giving her any story with Freya?

AND NOW, ABOUT KLAROLINE: Are you planning on writing the actual wedding scene, or just do a "fade to black"?👀

I understand that, in both cases, we'll probably have to wait until the very last chapter, so perhaps you're still not 100% sure about what to do... but I felt the need to ask about it🫠

I think it might not be from the flu, but rather that mystical thing I've heard so much about called pollen. It's not really a thing in Brazil, but apparently it fucks people up a lot here, and I was told this annoying allergic type of cough is one of the symptoms. Anyway 😂 So, for Marcel and Rebekah, I have to say I'm on the fence. I wasn't really thinking about that, but once I started writing TW4 I realized I have a very good opportunity to break them up for good and I might do it. As for Freya and Keelin, as I said, I just don't care about Freya enough 😂 I'm keeping her story as it is and adding Keelin whenever relevant. I realize there is a problematic factor there, but tbh it doesn't bother me? I mean, what isn't problematic in that show? I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to fantasy because you need a certain degree of tolerance towards certain things otherwise you can't enjoy anything anymore. There are things where I draw a line (*cough*Damon*cough*) but Freelin I don't mind. So yeah, they're still a thing. Not like Kol and Davina, though. Kol is a much more present character, he gets POVs and all. Freya doesn't, so her story only happens as background. The Klaroline wedding I will keep to myself for the time being 🤐 I need at least one person to keep reading so I might push myself to the finish line, so I will hold you in suspension 😂 I will tell you tho, you're right, I'm not 100% sure yet. I have changed my mind so many times about so many things. I have an outline, but it still feels very much up in the air. Honestly? No, not really.

Realistically speaking, assuming he's in a 'relationship' (tbh I can only see him in one if it's arranged and he can't get out of it), cheating would be too much effort. Like. Bro could care less about his spouse but even less so of other people.

He's too busy to cheat. Also doesn't see the point in it. Plus Roxana would probably actually put him on house arrest, constantly using her butterflies as punishment. Like, not giving him the illusion of a perfect death like in the novel, but instead showing him things he never wanted to see.

And I say this because I do think Roxana absolutely hates cheaters. It canon, trust me.

Now, if he's willingly in one? Listen, he owns you. Or at least he thinks he does. You see how he is around Roxana. He's worse with a partner he wants.

I also think he'd be offended if you think he would cheat. Listen, he's horrible and terrible and should be on a watch list, but he wouldn't go that low. It sounds like something Lante would do. And he's trying to shake off his influence still.

He owns you but maybe you also own him. If he were to cheat on you then maybe you'd get this silly little idea that you could also cheat on him. In canon I'm not sure if he would actually kill you, but he'd definitely kill the person you cheated with.

He's devoted to you if he actually wants you. A different type of devotion than the one he has for Roxana for obvious reasons.

Now I can fully see him being a neglectful partner. It's still horrible, not really better. But I don't think he'd be a cheater.
