I've already talked about this a wee bit on my kofi page, but I thought I'd post something here too.

I haven't been writing very well this last month. I think it's all the grey, cold weather. That usually knocks me down a peg. Plus, I'd really hoped to have another manuscript finished by this point in the year... and I don't.

I'm feeling a little disappointed in myself.

Which is silly! I know I don't always have to be super productive all the time. It's fine if some months are slower than others. And yet, no matter how silly those feelings are, I'm feeling them. It's frustrating because I WANT to write. I WANT TO WRITE SO MANY THINGS! I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS! But sometimes the words come at a trickle instead of a flood, and that's fine, even if it's annoying.

That's why I haven't been responding to many asks and why some of the weekly Thicker Than updates have been a bit short. I hope you can understand, and I hope no one is disappointed in me.

I'm being easy on myself, eating a lot of yummy food, and dreaming of summer.

Still stupidly excited to talk more about Of Monsters and Mainframes and to really dig into Thicker Than - Chapter Eleven. Both those things have one very wonderful thing in common with each other: Werewolves.

So you can see why I'm so keen.

What's stopping the possibility of a ceasefire is pretty simple. Hamas is holding 239 Israeli civilians hostage including children and the elderly. What's happening in Palestine is a travesty and horrendous. But Israel can't initiate a ceasefire from the position they're in, so we need to be agitating for Hamas to release the hostages and call for a ceasefire instead.

if you saw my previous post about mohammed shehab’s campaign, here’s an update. mohammed has posted on a new account that, due to issues with taxing on gofundmes in germany where the previous campaign was located, he has had to remake the campaign.

this new campaign has a higher goal and i’m not sure if he’ll be able to access the funds from the previous campaign or if it will be refunded or something, from what he wrote on his new post it sounds like he can’t access it right now, so here’s a link to his new one. obviously the higher goal and the fact that it’s starting from scratch throws a wrench in my original plans to post a fact for every milestone reached until the goal was met as i simply don’t have that many drafts ready, but hopefully people will help even without an incentive from me.

The most exciting and I think ... brain candy worthy today was Rhys and David posting a BTS picture of Rhys in the colonial hat/outfit. It sparked some interesting ideas on the status of season 3.

I have to say, hats off to the folks over on twitter @fowlfiend for making this connection

Earlier today, Chaos Dad, David Jenkins posted the following picture of Rhys that Rhys shared on his Instagram with a song attached to it called "I'm a Man" by Jobriath.

Now, all well and good right? Rallying cry to all the crew! BUT Twitter folks think there's a deeper meaning and I'm inclined to agree.

How fucking cool is that? Thank you to @lamentus1 for pointing out also that Chaos Dad's post had the "three finger" I love you which is yet another 3 today.

Add to that, Taika's Instagram's been pretty quiet lately, and he happened to post a picture today of his mother-in-law @veraora on IG for her birthday, which just happens to have... 3 pigeons in it. Once again, thanks @lamentus1 for bringing this to our attention. ---also please wish VeraOra Happy birthday!

Now, could all of this be just coincidence? Sure, but where's the fun in that? Seems like we're going on a treasure hunt.

We all know we care, we all know we're doing a great fucking job at taking care of each other, helping awesome causes, and still having fun while doing it. You don't have to prove to anyone that you are allowed to enjoy your pirate show that means something to you and spend a few bucks to support it.

Genuinely Silver is essentially just transport at this point which is a shame because he started out as one of the most compelling aspects of chapter 7 as a whole and I yearn to get back to his and his family's (being diafam but also his bio family) story sooooo badly

As fun as it is to re-explore these aspects of the other cast, I was really loving Dipsomania's contributions to the main story and I miss them, and Silver finally got to shine a little bit after being a mostly off in the background kind of character 🥺 and I want more sleeping beauty

Thsu is really important and shouldn't be ignored or looked over, these workers have been underpaid and without health insurance for some time now. What's worse is that people will demonize them for the crime of understanding the value of their labor and wanting better, as usual those people view workers from industrial manufacturers to service workers to be invisible or inhuman beings that do stuff for them. If anything I'm lucky Boeing has an awful reputation right which might sound strange but hesr me out, with everything going on with the suspicious deaths and widespread visible safety failures you'd look really bad defending Boeing in this strike given their current reputation, though you'll always have corporate stooges who love the taste of leather in their mouth. Dontate to the strikers if you can and promote the news regarding it, the more eyes and ears the better, don't let this simply fade from the news cycle!!!
