😂😂😂This is a novelty for me....and a bit of a reality check. 13steps only As an artist working in my my own business for over 20yrs now it's a rarity for me to sit still for long unless at the movies or asleep in bed. l don't carry a phone with me all the time but an average day for me is at least 5000 steps or more on a busy day with 4 classes to teach it's not uncommon to take up 17,000 steps. But l think my year caught up with my and body was attacked by the common COLD😪 So even though l usually fight through it l caved and spent the whole day on the couch. l watch 4 movies on SBS WORLD MOVIES. Been incognito for a while as I was unwell and ordered to rest by the medics. As a Woman and Mompreneur, we feel like ‘Super-Woman’ (the can-do-it all type of woman) and tend to ignore the tell-tale signs of fatigue and illness slowing creeping up whilst somewhat still believing that we can withstand any hindrances to our daily lives and push on as normal ignoring the symptoms. Well, I’ve been doing just that for a long time and my body now said: enough is enough! And I have learnt in the midst of this rest-period; that the body does need to refurbish itself and that means giving in to its demand whether I like it or not. Does it mean the planned out Journey stops? No! As giving up is Never an option on the Table. But it does means; nourishing the bodily tools that will enable you complete the journey. And so I did just that! In this reflective rest-period; I have also made a conscious decision to allocate a monthly Self-Care time for Me and Me Alone so I don’t get caught unawares again.
