I don't know about you, but I could definitely use more happy juice (aka serotonin) in my body. I've been getting the sunshine, I exercise, I take my vitamins and have a massage scheduled in a couple days, but the rest...I'm lacking a bit. Good reminder that if I want to play at the top of my game, I have to take care of the vessel I need to take me there.

When I went for my last round of blood tests way back when I was still seeing the rheumatologist, the nurse gave me this certificate. I was 30 years old and proudly walked out of her office with my bright pink certificate saying what a brave girl I had been. Back then I didn’t feel brave, so this piece of paper really meant something to me. Then, I was still wrestling with the decision to stop treatment or continue, to keep going for tests or to stop, to listen to the “specialist” or to take my health into my own hands. Luckily I decided to forge my own path. Back then I was constantly sore, could barely walk properly. I was foggy and tired and everything bad that I could be. The doctor told me nothing I did could improve how I felt, and that included what I ate, if I lost weight or exercised or anything else. Today I know that that is a load of hogwash! Since changing what I ate, how I exercised, how I slept as well as what else I put into my body I have felt better than I ever did on any of his medication.
