i think the primary reason why K/S has such overwhelming appeal is and always shall be that it is, at its core, a soulmate bond that has to be forged. the only way a t'hy'la bond can manifest is through shared toil, hardships, and undying devotion; it must be given effort and put together piece by piece - but at the same time, by the nature of its creation, it alters all realities on a cosmic level, to the point that Kirk and Spock must meet in every universe.

t'hy'la is not spontaneous. it is not a soulmate mark, it doesn't spring to life at first sight or first touch or first word. it is destined - because it is chosen, time and time again. you cannot have one without the other

Hestia Devotional Activities

I was cleaning my room last night and found this list on a random piece of paper. I've been worshipping/working with Lady Hestia for roughly 2 years now so I have no idea when these ideas are from but I hope you enjoy!

Pick up rubbish in communal areas

Offer the first or last bites/portions of food your to her

Cooking/baking for yourself or others

Having a candle lit whenever possible (electric or real)

Alternatively, playing a video of a fire place. (This is my favourite)

Volunteering at or donating to homeless or DV shelters

Setting healthy boundaries with friends and family

Tea/Coffee magick is always a great devotional opportunity

Get involved with your local community in anyway possible.

Additionally, getting involved in politics! Advocating for policies you believe will better the community is absolutely in alignment with Hestia and her role in ancient Greece.

Allow yourself to rest (this is UPG but i've always found that she just wants you to take care of yourself more than anything).

Do a chore you've been putting off for a long time and dedicate it to her

Organise to hang out with some friends and/or family

Be kind to others AND YOURSELF!!

Veil or bind your hair!

Wear something red or orange (I normally opt for a red hair tie and bind my hair with it. 2 birds, 1 stone)

Make a devotional playlist for her

While we're on the topic of digital witchcraft, make a pinterest board or a mood board for her

Learn about kitchen witchery

i have such a fondness for the relationship between sam and dean in the earlier seasons, and especially when viewing it through a slashy lens. like. it reeks. it's bitterness and it's an agonizing familiarity. it's offputting pangs because even at this height of disconnect, everyone else is still an outsider. it's crammed full of some weighty thing there might never be a word for. something's been gutted and the rot of it festers. scoop out the bad parts, but it'll never go away. they love through their hate and hate through their love. and it's so fucking horrible a lot of the time. how they meet each other's every breaking point, how they design it just by being. it is so much pain brought by love and they throw themselves on the sword every time. part of me always gets the aftertaste of "nothing will be okay. not ever". there will always be this thing that terrifies them to touch and it drives nearly everything they do for (and to) each other. it's like watching them prolong an inevitable loss by losing bits and pieces instead. but they cling and cling to the crumbling edge. and no matter what else it is it will always be a kind of love. this is pretty much exactly why i fell so captivated by them. the biggest horror of supernatural is them.

Is anyone talking about Megatronus' cog and how maybe Megatron taking that was also a sign of him being not a good leader.

Is anyone complaining about how Orion got the Matrix going to also complain about how Megatron stole Megatronus' cog out of Sentinel's chest even though 1. he supposedly doesn't believe in Primes and false prophets any more and 2. Sentinel stole that cog from Megatronus' body who he murdered, so Megatron is literally just perpetuating that cycle of treating a dead hero's body parts as a collectible one is owed for having the Vision And Initiative To Seize Power. And being a hypocrite because despite supposedly hating Primes, he still covets Megatronus/his iconography so much he stole his cog and used it for his own despite the fact Alpha Trion (the last living Prime) gifted Megatron a perfectly usable one that he got consensually unlike Megatronus'?

Bc like. If we're talking symbolism into account. Idk it felt pretty symbolic to me that one of Sentinel's evil acts was to steal someone else's t-cog and then what does Megatron do? Steal someone's t-cog. Sure, Sentinel stole it first and was a bad guy so he ostensibly doesn't deserve having his corpse treated with dignity, but like... was it not obvious to anyone else that that act was where Megatron definitively went over the line of "revenge on an evil leader" to "stealing dead a dead guy's organs to suck out his physical power and symbolic presence for himself."

Are we going to talk about that or are we just going to keep bitching about how Orion was given the Matrix while he was dead, not expecting to be given a chance at life again, not seeking power for his own gain, with the consent/blessing of the previous Primes which somehow makes him evil and unfair

On the real, were i not so sleep deprived, i have a great many thoughts and pained feelings about them, their bond, the potential of their story, the way they speak to each other. I'd like to dive deeply into it. I haven't the faintest if anything I've written already carries a vague sense of coherency. Another day, perhaps.

For now. Someone commiserate with me in regards to these gith men, their common goal, the bond they share, and gods know how long they've known each other. They speak as friends. Was voss there the day orpheus was chained? Was voss there and forced to turn traitor? Only to spend eons awaiting his chance to make things right? Was voss there to watch vlaakith subjugate orpheus, knowing he had no power over either? Hopelessly watching? Horrified by what he could not prevent? Eons he's spent seeking ways to free orpheus. Eons. Hiding, lying, mapping his plans in the skies, waiting. How many millennia until he's free again?

Will he remember me?

Will he know i fought for him?

Will he know i would have stopped her had i the power?

Will he know the heights of heresy I've arranged from the depths of our bond?
