Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear by Seanan McGuire is the newest Wayward Children book! This one takes place in a Drowned World, with giant turtles.

I Am Made of Death by Kelly Andrews is a horror romance starring the signing interpreter of a selective mute who is also an heiress! I loved Andrews' last book, which hd lush folk horror vibes, and this one has a gorgeous cover and involves curses and a spiritual exorcism, so I'm IN.

Love Points to You by Alice Lin is about someone making a dating sim! And the MC being hired as character designer. This is an Asian-led sapphic romance, and as a dating sim fan, I'm super pumped.

They Bloom at Night by Trang Thanh Tran is a horror novel full of mutated monsters, and a cult-ish submerged town where the MC and her mother are stuck, where the people believe their dead family have reincarnated as sea monsters. The summary also heavily implies the MC has monstrous qualities.

What Wakes the Bells by Elle Tesch involves malevolent souls trapped in bells and fighting gargoyles! This sounds like an exciting fantasy world with a really fun adventure.

I Am the Swarm by Hayley Chewins is a trauma-centric horror with a magical bloodline and the power/curse of summoning insects. This one really leans into female rage, and I'm really interested in the magic.

Holy Terrors by Margaret Owen is the third (and I think final!) book in the Little Thieves series! Fairytale-retelling fantasy with a snarky, morally gray, damaged MC (whom I love)

Roll for Love by M.K. England is one of my favorite kinds of books coming out lately- a D&D based romance! This one involves a new campaign & roleplaying group after a big move, and a no-dating rule giving some tension.

The Summer I Ate the Rich by Maika Moulite & Maritza Moulite is Haitian-American Hannibal story! It's also a zombie story.

The Floating World by Axie Oh was pitched as an amnesiac sword-for-hire teaming up with a theatre troupe performer with mysterious powers, and I don't need to know any more than that!

Don't Let Me Go by Kevin Christopher Snipes is Snipes' second book- and I was absolutely gut punched by the queer tenderness and mental revelations of his first book. This one will also break me, as it's about two boys trapped in a reincarnation cycle.

And They Were Roommates by Page Powars should need no further explanation than the title!! But in case it's not- this is an MLM story of a stealth trans boy coming to a new school, where- unbeknownst to the roommate- he's roomed with his former, pre-transition fling.

Nobody in Particular by Sophie Gonzales is a royalty romance at a boarding school, and it's sapphic! This has a disgraced princess falling for the new girl pianist 😍 As a big believer in Gonzales, I am lined up.

The Listeners by Maggie Stiefvater is not my normal kind of read! This is historical fiction, taking place at a hotel/spa in the 1940s- but Stiefvater wrote one of my favorite series, The Rave Boys (and The Dreamer Trilogy!), and she'd super excited about it, so I'm just looking forward to seeing her spectacular writing coming at a new angle.

Love Misha by Jam Aden has been on my list for a LONG TIME. Why? Because it's promoted as A Goofy Movie meets Spirited Away with a nonbinary main character. SAY NO MORE.

If We Survive This by Racquel Marie is a apoclaypse survival horror. Lesbian zombie stories are surprisingly not that hard t find right now, but I'm definitely interested in seeing more of them!

Predatory Natures by Amy Goldsmith has one of my favorite things- TRAIN SETTINGS. The MC is working on a luxury train during her gap year, but the trip is derailed by the arrival of a mysterious greenhouse and a pair of odd, enigmatic siblings. This is fantasy horror.

Evil-ish by Kennedy Tarrell is about disillusioned teen trying to become a supervillain. I love supervillain fiction, and this one sounds really fun and with surprising characters!

Villain by Natalie Zina Walschots is the very longwaited (for me, at least) sequel to the wonderful villain-led, radicalization story Hench. I'm so looking forward to seeing Anna as a full supervillain!

Mistress of Bones by Maria Z. Medina stars a necromancer trying to resurrect her sister, and getting caught in a game of cat and mouse with the Emissary of Death. This one sounds really magical.

Hollow by Taylor Grothe is YA horror with an autistic (and trying to deny her diagnosis) teen in Upstate New York. I, personally, seeing book in Upstate NY and love autism rep, and this is queer!

The Cuffing Game by Lyla Lee has one of my favorite fluffy queer romanc writers tacking reality show romance by the way of Pride & Prejudice! There's also (no surprise) going to be K-drama vibes.

For No Mortal Man by Keshe Chow stars a girl who can resurrect herself, traveling the Underworld to find her grandmother, and being haunted by a former betrayer.

We Were Never Here by Sophie Hannan is a heist story! This is about ghost hunters being blackmailed to do a heist, stealing a haunted painting. I love weird heists, I really do.

You Weren't Meant to Be Human by Andrew Joseph White is probably my most anticipated release of 2025! I love AJW's autistic, trans horror, and this one has aliens and pregnancy horror. I see no way this won't be weird as hell, and therefore no way this isn't gonna be amazing.

Everything you said about hanma 🥲 finally turning human when his first friend dies it's Greek tragedy level of cursed. His way of crying is representative of that I think, still smiling with tears streaming down his face, like he doesn't know how to do it.

Oh my good yes I hc his flirty personality as a side effect of his education too, especially since he looks so much older than he is it wouldn't be weird for him to be a host~ the play pretend boyfriend type that are popular with women. So the words come easily to him, but the feelings are buried so deep in him he doesn't even realize there's something more to that relationship he has with that one little guy.

No but fr, what was Mikey even thinking. I go with different routes depending on the mood, like with how Hanma was just some guy in the end it could be anything but there's: 1) Hanma asked to be let in ~ maybe to get revenge on Takemichi, or because there's no future for him and that's the only thing he knows, or because he wants to kill himself through Mikey's violence and that brings us to 2) Mikey asked him ~ because indeed he respected Kisaki and took pity on Hanma, or he was suspicious about Hanma and wanted to keep an eye on him to protect Takemichi, or he wanted to take revenge on Kisaki for the murders, Emma's among them, through Hanma (this one is interesting for hanma whump and that's my jam)

Okay but the vision of the two time travellers fighting over small Kisaki is hilarious. Divorced parents arguing over guarding their child vibe, except one parent wants to make him a crime lord and the other wants to stop the kid from murdering people. Or darker Takemichi is torn between killing baby Hitler and being nice to him and Hanma protecting the kid and shaping him into a super villain for more moral nuance, the qui pro quos would be so funny my god.

Hanma as a jaded criminal my beloved, falling into insanity with hallucinations of Kisaki telling him what to do? I feel like he would go for Takemichi first since that's the guy who watched Kisaki died, almost killed him himself (I want to read a fic where takemichi pulls the trigger before the track arrives... the moral dilemma) but him being the subject of Sanzu's suspicion sounds hilarious tbh, Hanma acting innocent with angel of death Kisaki on his shoulder screaming kill them all 😭

@gratuiciel ur tags hurt me (and I love that) I'm fascinated with depressed era hanma, the fact that he relaxed thinking that Kisaki got away! Only to find his corpse on the road. Keeps thinking about what he could've done, if he had hold on to the bike better, if he had spent less time fighting with draken, and yeah always looking back at these six (6!) months of his life where everything was so colorful and he took it for granted. Maybe the first time in his life where he actually (somewhat) cared about another human being, only to have it ripped out from him.

I always wondered how he came to be in bonten, especially as he wasn't that useful anyway. We joke about Hanma being just some guy at the end of the manga but there was something to be done with him that just didn't happen and it makes me sad. So many fanart of him going back into the past and meeting little Kisaki... I want to develop that idea cuz I feel like he would try to shape into the boy he remembers but at the same time he would be scared to death of something happening to Kisaki. Plus, with the kid not being lonely to death I doubt he would develop that same passion for Hinata. But even if Hanmas not a time traveller, just the idea of him taking revenge on Takemichi and Mikey in Bonten is just, chef's kiss. Wanna write something about that (girl who has 1384949 wips)

Release: OMEN​/​CONSTANCE

Presenting OMEN/CONSTANCE - Soundtrack for Oneiric Roleplaying, the next release from Ri47 Heavy Industries

this album's been a while in the works, and I'm happy to finally have it done! following up the previous ttrpg soundtrack I wrote, NOMAD/VIRTUE, I thought it'd be interesting to make an album that focuses less on music for action sequences and more on those quieter moments that don't necessarily take place on the scale of mechanised warfare

so without further ado, here's 46 minutes of otherworldly atmospheres, unsettling revelations, and stories spun in astral silk

included in this album are ten tracks, including three experimental ambient tracks intended to lend a tense emotional atmosphere to any scene without necessarily implying a specific physical locale

while this album was assembled with gothic and eldritch horror in mind, pulling influence from survival horror classics, it also works nicely in plenty of other genres, bringing a unique otherworldly atmosphere to any table

as a bonus, two variant colours of the album art are included, whether you want to enjoy OMEN/CONSTANCE in tones of Masque Red, Royal Yellow, or Chaos Crawling

Zomboid questions: the game seems really interesting and I think it’s something I would enjoy if I got better at it/knew what I was doing. Do you have any tips? Or is this a “play the game more and git gud scrub” situation?

I just like… put 15 minutes into making a character and get invested and then I aimlessly wander around for an hour and a half and then die.

well, your goal is SURVIVE: you will die eventually, but you wanna live as long as possible. that means you need to stockpile food, get your hands on a power source, pick out a base etc.

my favourite starting spot as a new player was Rosewood. if you can manage to find it, there is a fire station that is incredibly good to take as a base if you can clear it out without breaking any windows/doors. there’s also a police station nearby which is good for armor and weapons.

make yourself both big goals and little goals. if you make yourself a goal like, “i want to stockpile gas for when the power cuts off” then naturally you have to set yourself smaller goals that keep you moving (and having fun!) so in this case it would be like, find a gas station, find a suitable vehicle, find some tanks store gas in. and then when you have valuables you’re like oh shit, i need to fortify this base against attacks so i don’t lose all my crap, and you’ll start building fences etc. but to build fences you need to go find/make materials, and it’s also really loud so you need to clear out zombies in an immediate area for it to be safe enough to do that, etc. systems lead to systems!

also, i know not everybody cares about this kind of thing, but PZ is perfect for roleplay, even just on your own. if you’re struggling to motivate yourself, invent a motivation, make a character you want to protect. last time i played with friends our internal goal was to find & clear out the secret military base — so we did that, and it fucking ruled! sure we got cool gear from it but the big reason was just because it would be awesome, and so we did it.

besides, the game starts (by default) in the summer. don’t you want your survivor to at least live long enough to see the snow one last time?

Hello! Our next round of applications is planned to open for The Trove of Twisted Tunnels, which is one of the two functionally "unique" branch groups ThreeClans has to offer! When we started our roleplay we were originally three clans, as the roleplay title states: NettleClan, CreekClan, and JaggedClan. As time went on and the roleplay group developed, however, new groups came about, forming FogClan and The Trove. FogClan, of the two, is the more traditional in its clan-like structure, containing warriors, apprentices, a leader and other Warrior Cats typical canon roles, though their culture within our server stands out from the very regular traditions that the "original three" take up and maintain. For example, they use a system of governing that contains a "council" that the leader confers with and operate under a slightly modified warrior code, as well as conducting ceremonies differently in which parents promote their kits to apprenticeship; mentors promote their apprentices to be warriors, and so on.

The Trove is still an inherently Warrior Cats inspired system, but their way of functioning is much different from clan roles of warrior and apprentice. Even their leadership looks different! In The Trove, their home is made underground in a network of tunnels and caverns. Aboveground territory is utilized as well but is much smaller than that of the clans.

The main way they differentiate between what function a cat will serve is by seasonal roles. A cat's time of birth dictates what sort of duties they will be assigned, as each season comes with specific associations for Trove cats. The only exception for a cat not belonging to the season they were born during is when a litter of four kittens is birthed, in which case, the kittens are split evenly between the four seasons in descending order of when they were born, with the first kit assigned to the season that they are born into and so on.

As far as seasonal duties go, Summer-borns are hunters and providers. They keep the Trove well fed. Fall-borns are the Trove's tacticians and healers. They learn how to utilize herbs to their fullest extent and are the cats relied upon in matters of the mind. Winter-borns are battle ready, responsible for patrolling and safeguarding the territory against trespassers as well as potential threats. They know how best to protect. Spring-borns are nurturers expected to handle the youngest, most fragile cats within the Trove, raising them from kittenhood and guiding them on their proper paths. They keep the tunnels and the Trove's home in its best conditions and are caretakers to their core.

A young Trove cat will be considered a part of their season from birth, named in one simple part (such as Moon, Drizzle, or Stone) and may begin "training" as early as they consider themselves ready for it unlike traditional apprentices. To earn their full name and title, however, they do not complete assessments in the way of clan cats but instead take a journey that the Trove reveres up a mountain; this trek is highly dangerous and has in many instances resulted in the loss of life. Should they survive the trip to the top, they will dream alongside their fallen Trovemates or be given a form of guidance before being left to complete their quest home where they will then be granted a second, seasonally specific portion of their name. These suffixes may sometimes modify their original prefix, creating names that change from something like "Rabbit" to "Hopping Rabbit," in the case where the suffix taken on would be "-Hop."

Another fun tidbit of Trove lore is their leadership and how it is chosen. As the seasons and the turn of them are considered highly important to the Trove, so are the elements. The Trove, at any given time, is technically under the jurisdiction of four leaders: one for each season. When one season is in swing, that specific leader will be responsible for the majority of decisions (as it is Winter now, the Winter leader would hold the most sway) but may confer with the others in their choices. Trove leaders are chosen not by random selection from the masses, but instead when dramatic weather events or other natural phenomenon occur on or during the date of a kit litter's delivery. The Trove sees this as a way of marking the litter for something great, and thus, any kits born during these events will be marked as "heirs." The Trove leader associated with their season is then given the ability to choose a specific heir to follow in their footsteps, although heir status technically never fades (a first heir may be chosen, though all other heirs may be considered "in waiting" should other leaders ever be needed to step up) unless a cat dies or is otherwise banished/punished.

The Trove comes with a lot of fun lore to dig into, as this is covering some of it but not all that there is to explore. More elements exist to delve into, such as the incorporation of the last loner group to have made their home alongside the Trove known as The Hunters — a group of cats who hunt ghosts and insist upon their capability to communicate with the paranormal — but as the time gets closer to apply, we'll be sure to offer up more for you to explore! There are many documents as well as plenty of information here on our blog if you'd like to do some digging; The Trove is always a super fun group to get into due to just how unique they are, in my opinion, and if you have more specific questions I would be happy to answer them for you!

Who am i?

Hey everyone, it’s still me, Serhii. I thought it might be a good idea to write this post since some people have misunderstood my invitation to join the jam as a scam. So, I’ll tell you a bit about myself.

I’m 33 years old, I work at a hospital, and I live in Ukraine. TTRPGs are my passion, and I try to combine my love for them with doing something good.

Before 2022, our small group of 40 people used to play various games in Ukrainian on a local Discord server. Before the Russian invasion, the development of roleplaying games in Ukraine was almost nonexistent. We just played in local groups without much interaction. Meanwhile, there was a huge post-soviet russian-speaking space, and everything Ukrainian developers created benefited that sphere, despite the ongoing war since 2014.

However, the brutal invasion and shared hardship brought Ukrainians together. By spring and summer of 2022, after we gathered ourselves, we started building our own community. Since then, we’ve achieved quite a bit: offline and online festivals, our own games (even in English), over 30 translations of well-known and indie games, educational work, lectures, reviews, new YouTube videos, and of course, ongoing charity fundraising. Charity has become part of our daily lives because we know if we don’t donate, both we and our families and friends won’t survive.

Personally, I helped found Roleplay Solovinoiu, a Ukrainian-language group I started with my wife to promote RPGs here. We’ve hosted tons of online festivals, introduced people to games other than D&D, and I co-organized the international Roleplay Ukraine festival, which we’ve held twice: in 2023 and 2024. Hopefully, nothing will stop us from holding it again in May 2025.

I’ve also been involved in translating games into Ukrainian, like Lady Blackbird, Call of Cthulhu, Vaesen, Dune: Adventures in the Empire, Fallout 2d20, Lasers and Feelings, and some indie stuff. Soon, Durf will be released—we hoped to finish it this summer, but we had an unfortunate situation with our layout designer. And I’ve also made the best social deduction board game, but I’m not allowed to talk about that :).

Now, we’ve decided to organize a bundle to raise money to help Ukrainian hospitals. Since I work in a hospital, I can see the massive need that the government can’t fully cover right now. In the jam’s post, you’ll find pictures and stats on how many hospitals have been completely destroyed, and how many are still hanging on, despite the damage. We’ve partnered with one of the biggest charitable foundations and know that all the money will go directly to helping hospitals.

Part One: Writing Your Character

Hi there. I’m EJ, proud creator of multiple RP blogs and a PJO Tumblr Community. Quick disclaimer to note that I’m speaking from experience, and my way may not work for you. That’s okay, so feel free to modify or skip steps as desired. With this out of the way, let’s get to work!

Personality/Vibes

Alas and alack. This is the first step, and the hardest.

The best way, in my opinion, to build a character, is to start from the vibes. What type of a character would you want to play or do you think would be fun?

If you’re stuck, consider the characters within the Riordanverse that you find most interesting, then consider making a character like that. A big fan of Luke? Maybe your character is trying to start a rebellion. In love with Percy? Your character could be the charismatic hero. Your heart lies with side characters? Not everyone has to be in the spotlight!

Don’t forget: a good character doesn’t have to be in all the action. They just need to be interesting. What stories do they have to tell? What adventures have they gone on, or want to go on? Will their character arc revolve around becoming more (for lack of a better word) exciting?

I’m always happy to answer DMs if you need more help with writing personality, because it’s the most personal step and the hardest to create a one-size fits all guide.

Godly Parent

Let’s be real, we’re in the world of Percy Jackson, where a godly parent is practically a personality trait. But how do you choose the right one? Here’s a few options.

By vibes

While I’m entirely aware I sound like a broken record, the best match for a godly parent is often the one whose domain and/or personality match best to the character’s personality and interests.

Another good site/resource I use is the CHB Fanon Wiki! They’ve got lots of gods and minor gods and also power ideas for them!

Powers are very important in the world of Percy Jackson, and they may be very important to you in roleplaying!

Here’s the Riordan wiki rundown of powers by godly parent, but feel free to consult the previous Wikipedia article for more obscure deities.

Sure! Here’s a godly parent spinner based on the current cabins at CHB, weighted by canonical commonness!

Backstory

Questions to ask yourself

Who is their mortal parent? Did [parent] know they were having a child with a god? If not, how did they find out their child was a demigod?

Do they have a stepfamily? How do they feel about this?

What is their home life like?

When did they come to camp? Why then?

How many wars/battles have they witnessed and/or fought in? Why that amount?

Are they a summer camper, or year-round? Why?

Did their demigod traits impact their life before CHB? Why or why not?

Things to consider

Vibes inform backstory

Try to give your character a backstory that helped shape who they are today. That said:

Demigods go through a lot

Your character likely won’t be innocent forever. Most campers have survived something in some way, be it monsters before coming to camp or the variety of battles fought over the course of the series. They’ve probably killed at least one monster, and they may have seen dead bodies.

Their experiences are not the sum of their parts, of course, but just try to keep it in mind! A sheltered child will eventually have to confront the horrors of the demigod world.

Identity

Who is your character? Or, more specifically, who do they think they are? This question is probably gonna be pretty easy if you’ve already answered the other questions.

Nevertheless, we have a couple questions to get you started!

If your character met someone, how would they introduce themself?

Who and what matters to your character? Why?

What are their hobbies and interests?

How do they feel about themself?

What does their average day look like?

Not to be biased, but this may be literally one of my favorite parts. I love the little details, and hopefully you will too!

Naming

Juliet of Romeo & Juliet fame once lamented, “What’s in a name?” Well, a lot, actually, especially in the world of Percy Jackson. Names have power, and your character’s will be one of the very first impressions people get. So let’s go!

The first thing to loop back to is how you want the name to feel. A name given to a dangerous killer will likely be different than the name you’d give to an everyman.

Don’t be afraid to be a little on the nose: Travis and Connor Stoll are Hermes kids, go figure. (Stoll = stole, and Hermes is associated with thieves) Katie Gardner? Demeter kid.

Another thing to consider is how the name sounds. This might be less important to you, and that’s okay, but it definitely helps if a name rolls off the tongue. Think about how the full name goes together.

Finally, don’t forget the cultural and familial context of a name. Most parents of demigods at camp will be from North America, and the mortal parent’s cultural background and naming preferences will heavily influence the name. There may be mythological roots (ex: Perseus, of course), but the majority of campers will have names that wouldn’t be out of place in the mortal world. That isn’t to say you can’t go with a name from history or mythos, but try to keep in mind what would make sense for your character.

Powers

Powers! One of the best parts of Percy Jackson is the iconic powers, so here are my best tips.

Firstly, don’t be afraid of giving your demigods some kind of a power. Nearly every demigod has some ability to control their parent’s domain. Rather than seeming overpowered to give your demigod something cool, it’s nearly the norm. Just make sure whatever you’ve picked makes sense. For example: giving a child of Athena the power to touch a ball of yarn and instantly turn it into a tapestry could be a bit of stretch.

Weapons (+ Magical Items)

Weapons say a lot about your character. Take Annabeth and her dagger: it was given to her by Luke, who told her that only the smartest demigods would be able to use it. Riptide: given to Percy by his mentor in a moment of distress, and the only blade that has ever seemed to fit. It also ties him back to his roots as a demigod and to the ocean. So, by all means, PLEASE go wild with your weapons. They absolutely reflect the personality and connections of your character. Here are a couple questions to get you started:

Does your character use only one weapon, do they have multiple, or use whatever they can? Why?

(If singular) How did they acquire it?

(If singular) Does it mean anything to them?

(If singular) Does the weapon have a past?

What is their preferred weapon type?

What is their preferred way to fight? (ex: ranged attacks, melee)

EXPERIENCE: Let's see, my first tumblr blog was a world of warcraft oc in 2015. But I've been roleplaying for two decades or more. I was there when go-gaia was born! As it happens, I met Sensei @mukagenborn online in the fandom I was in at the time, around '09? 2010? We starting writing together back then and now we're Best Friends. So be careful who you talk to online!  I started playing Megumi with Sensei in the Summer of 2021 after we watched season 1 together. I only played off and on when Gojo or Yuji came up in our rp. Much later, I was watching JJK0 with Sensei, because I wanted to know Okkotsu's character better, and realized: I need to be writing Getou immediately. I've been writing Getou since... September 28th, 2024. lol. But truly, these have been the most enjoyable 6 months and 2 weeks I've ever had with a muse, so expect to see a lot more of him!

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT: My favorite genre to write is Adventure-Romance! And I like to rotate all three of those themes in circles throughout, like delicious rotisserie.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I'm partial to longer, but I can work with brevity if we're short on time or collective braincells.

PET PEEVES: I have two. Let fiction remain fictional and make sure that in offline life, a person acts with the same - or higher - integrity and social activism that they extol when it comes to another person enjoying their creative hobby. My creative space is not a platform for someone else's virtue signaling. I'm writing for fun, for self-expression, to explore my muses, and to entertain my writing partners. And two: “Comparison is the death of joy.” Embrace unique. Celebrate perspective. Resist total homogeneity. There is always an open invitation for discussion and clarification, but a person's writing is like their thumbprint - it was meant to be recognizable but relatively distinct to the individual. I won't imitate you, so don't imitate me.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: It would be a pleasure and an honor, imo. I also obsess over meaning, the human condition, my best friend and my found family. In my birthchart, it warns that I can be too defiant and inflexible in my views, but because I like to take up and stand for righteous causes, that I should try not to become a cult leader or an eco-terrorist. Lmao. So in that, Getou offers something like... 'If I had leaned into the extremism degree of my values, would I have done the same things? What would those drastic measures feel like?' Thinking like that gives me so much to write because I can see how someone so soft would develop so much edge.      Possibly? There are some similarities, as I like my main muse to have a degree of compatibility with my thought process, values, and relationships. I like to take a look at life through a different but relatable perspective, to see things I might have missed about them - or myself, because sometimes I can miss forest for trees and all that. A fresh take can help add a little dynamism to creativity, but if the muse is a good fit, it can also help me express facets of my nature that are a little shaky because in our daily lives, sometimes we are severely limited in what we can demonstrate, and when, and for whom. It's within my nature to prioritize other people right along with my own importance. I think uplifting another person can be restorative, if it stems from the heart and not the ego. If I see someone suffering, and I can take the weight of a 'curse' off of someone, I will. If I can use that curse later, in defense of something precious or invaluable, I will. It took me a long time to learn how to survive my own empathy, and what to do with the burdens that I collected from others out of a sense of responsibility and compassion.     Getou has been a fascinating muse to me, in that the trait I was trying to refine in myself, was built into his character as his operative ability. If nothing else, it's been helpful to me when I start to feel overwhelmed by what needs to be done in regards to another person's situation, to pause and consider whether I want to take on their curse or not. Putting it in a voluntary sense helps realign my purpose for being involved in the moment. Are any of these similarities between mun and muse? That's so subjective, who can really say. But I do enjoy the hell out of his character and the insights I associate with him. I also like that Getou has a soulmate who just happens to be compatible with Sensei. We're at work together, on the phone with each other, writing to one another, playing online with each other, living together and reading or watching JJK together - we spend most of the day IC, and so sometimes it feels like we're just getting to live out a softer chapter of a long, enduring love story.

TIME TO WRITE: During the workweek, all bets are off, I am too dead even for Kenjaku to pilot. On my days off, though, I write best at about 2am-10am CST. If I get started on my drafts as soon as I wake up, I'll have the most success. If I get distracted by a single leaf outside and the weather is nice?? I'm gone. I'll be outside playing all day, gomen.
