A kind reminder to respect nonhumans (mostly fictionkins/fictives) who are uncomfortable with doubles and don't interact with them.

Everyone's experience is different. I personally have nothing against doubles interacting with my blog, but I understand that some are not.

I stumbled upon a discord server for folks who identify as creepypasta characters. While reading the rules, I saw, that the creator of this server is uncomfortable with other people identifying as Jeff the Killer.

So I immediately left.

It's not offensive if someone does not want to interact because you're a double.

It's not offensive if someone is not comfortable with fictionkins/introjects from a certain source.

This "someone" doesn't hate you, they just have specific boundaries.

It IS offensive and mean if you don't respect those boundaries on purpose.

Be kind. Be respectful.

Doubles, or introjects who share the same source individual, are a common occurrence in the plural community, and may be common within a single system! Most introjects are unable to choose their source, and there is nothing wrong with having multiple introjects of the same person, character, object, being, or concept in your own system. This post goes out to all the systems with doubles out there!

We hope every introject out there who has met or interacted with a double, inside or outside of their system, can have a wonderful day! There is absolutely nothing wrong with two headmates sharing the same source individual. You should feel welcome to live your lives in the ways that you choose, without feeling like your choices are being policed or dictated by others!

Doubles, not only are we wishing you ample agency and autonomy in your lives, but we are also wishing you happiness, comfort, and self-acceptance! Rest assured, you are wanted, you belong, your relationships are meaningful (yes, even if they are with other doubles!) and you are unique and special in your own ways. Could we get a little insight into MC and Sam playing doubles? (any rituals, how successful were they together, did they beg the coach to end up together, etc.)

For same gender Sam and MC:

In freshman year, MC was already ranked second on their high school team, and Sam was ranked no. 6, good but well-they'd never been that serious about tennis before.

MC and Sam were already best friends then, but coach decided to partner MC with the no. 3 seed. MC said, "I'll wait for you", and it was all the motivation Sam needed.

Next season, Sam cleaned up their act, got a lot better, and made it to No. 3. MC was already the no. 1 seed by then, and they managed to persuade their coach to pair them together.

Honestly? It was a no brainer, given their chemistry, and they absolutely decimated their opposition. It was the birth of an absolutely unbeatable pairing.

There was even an article ran about them, and their meteoric rise to the top of the high school doubles rankings, where Sam is quoted as saying, "what can I say? [MC] and I are dynamite on and off the court." There's a picture of them wearing bright grins and each other's team jackets.

For opposite gender MC x Sam:

They get less opportunity to play together, but they did win the National mixed doubles championship twice (see interview above), and show the same astounding chemistry.
