i get jealous of how other artists seem to just. make good art consistently. meanwhile there is me with my 500 unfinished art ideas that i got bored of or didn't like and the 1 piece per month i actually finish that looks insanely different from anything else i've drawn because consistency is my sworn enemy. and i'll be like "hey i liked how this turned out i should draw like this more often" and then i cant even draw in that style ever again for some reason so that's cool 👍

#probably the nerdiest thing i will ever read in my entire life but I AM SO HAPPY #Its the unabridged and corrected 1992 republication btw. if you wanna get specific #the only book in which i have actually decided to read the introductory notes and i do NOT regret it because the editor's one IMMEDIATELY #brought up the “oh but surely the second dimension has thickness how else would flatlanders see anything” AND GAVE A REALLY GOOD ANSWER.#which i cannot tell you here. bc it is several paragraphs long and idk how i would shorten it. i would hit tag limit. if thats a thing.#anyways. on the subject. my observation has been that a lot of peoples relationship w whump is a lot more fraught than typical forms of fandom engagement/creation. i think this makes sense intuitively because whump is all about pain and suffering and emotional involvement and on that level i think there is a lot of potential for emotional self harm and that seems to be a trap a lot of people fall into or have fallen into at one point. i dont really have a point to make here just take care of yourselves guys <3

had the most specific prophetic dream. back a few months ago i had a dream where (quotes from my notes app where i wrote it down immediately when i woke up) "I was replaying totk from the beginning and i went through the great sky island and realized i forgot to get the energy cell from the construct. thats it. what kind of dream is that."

a few days ago, i had a long plane ride so i decided to replay totk from the beginning. Anyways turns out if you don't get the energy cell from where you're supposed to a construct just shows up and is like "i have forgotten to give you something" and gives you it.

#like i just. completely skipped past it just got across the river using the wind and a raft.#i didnt even realize i missed it until the construct showed up bc i didnt remember where it was supposed to be.#and then i was like. wait a minute. what.#you know its weird usually i dont have dreams related to my hyperfixations usually theyre more based in my real life #but i have had a lot of zelda themed dreams. i dont remember a lot of them but i wake up with the knowledge that link was there.#sometimes multiple of him #another highlight from the note in my notes app where i write down dreams if i remember:#'I was playing botw but there was a gleeok there. specfically a king gleeok.which i killed by hitting it with 3 ancient arrows.#After failing by throwing hyrule bass at it because i forgot you couldnt fuse things to arrows. i am not sure how that resulted in fish.'
