Magical girl video game charts! I originally posted these to my Twitter account, but wanted to repost them here as I feel the magical girl comm on here is a bit more relaxed. Please note that some are eroge titles, while some aren't.

The first chart's first half was made to list more well known titles in the US that have games. There's a misconception about magical girl video games not being a thing, which is... definitely not true. The next one should cover indie titles, along with a separate list to list magical girl manga I think people should check out! :]

It's episode 28 and they're finally explaining to us why the villains' solution for saving the kingdom wouldn't work.

For 28 episodes the villains looked better than the heroes because at least they were attempting to do something about a problem (Doll Land potentially disappearing) even if their methods (kidnapping) were wrong, while the heroes tried to stop them without posing any alternative way.

It turns out the heroes knew that Rika becoming queen wouldn't actually solve the problem and would in fact make it worse... but the viewers did not know this. If I had known this it would have been so much easier to sympathize with the heroes. As it was, they seemed callous and unfeeling.

ok i dont know if this sounds stupid but i want to get into playing dolls again. like i do it mentally but staring at the ceiling for hours on end makes me feel unproductive. i just feel that adding a physical element would be fun. PROBLEMS !!!!! for one i collect porcelain dolls. which are nice to look at. difficult to handle in play. so i would have to collect something else but NEW PROBLEM barbie dominates the play doll world. any other famous (western) dolls are just. kinda ugly imo. or too specialized in their intent. barbie is more generic and in recent years more diverse which does lend better to my characters but also i do not really want to be a barbie girl….i mean i like licca chan i think shes really cute and currently the only not western major doll brand i can think of…but also really not diverse lol….

ANOTHER PROBLEM !!!! literally all my stories with the singular notable exception of like. time and again. are set in like a vague high fantasy historical western setting. most dolls are not dressed like that so id have to make clothes lol….god idk maybe it is stupid. or maybe ill go to like walmart or some shit and see what kind of dolls i can find < i dont usually see barbie dolls at thrift stores but maybe my eyes just brush over them cause im focused on porcelain. idk. to be thought abt

Got busy again, but I want to doll a poll on which topic followers would want to read the most!

Going to go through summarizing what each piece would be about:

1. Magical Girl media recommendations - This will be about more obscure, less popular, or shows that are considered to be 'forgotten" by the Western magical girl community. While I do find a few of the more mainstream titles worth talking about, I don't really feel anyone needs them recommended to some high account because fans will watch them anyway. Titles being addressed will include (but not only) Fancy Lala, Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san, Prétear, Alice 19th, and Jewelpet Twinkle. The games would include Community Pom, Moco Moco Friends, and Deathsmiles (will add more onto the list later)

2. Gender Roles - What is says on the tin. I have came across a few series that manage to address these themes well, and... some that manage to miss the mark. Sugar Sugar Rune is one title that will be addressed here. The other series I was considering addressing would need a content warning and I feel the author fumbled the concept as the manga went on.

3. Strange/Unconventional Magical Girl Titles - This is a piece I was considering to overall fuse into other genres and have not started on yet. While there are certainly titles I consider to be more experimental or have odd humor, most titles in the genre do not stand out to me for being "strange." I do not consider content that is dark automatically strange or unconventional, either. I mean strange as in concepts, and moreso along the lines of shows like Tenshi ni Narumon and not what Google kept telling me people find "weird" (ie Symphogear???) The only odd title I can think of right now would be Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo, and I doubt anyone on here even knows what it is. At the very least if it ends up not being all about magical girls I can write about Key, the Metal Idol or Kirameki Project? Alien Nine? No idea.

4. Disturbing/Strange Magical Girl Episodes - This is an abandoned idea I started on years ago and meant to publish on Halloween. I've done a piece like this before, but about non horror media with disturbing elements. For example, Tokyo Babylon and Dead Demon were addressed in that article. Super Doll Licca-chan, Fancy Lala, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Shamanic Princess come to mind with episodes to write on.

a year ago i was like "i won't ever get into custom doll making it seems super hard and fiddly" well i lied so i decided to make aria as my first custom doll!! pretty ambitious of me lol BUT i am very happy with the outcome

her face is one of licca-chan's friends slightly modified and the body is an obitsu knock off and i made everything else myself :)
