At least they'd put her out of the sunlight.

Imayo felt the dim heat of flame--candles, she guessed, by the smell of beeswax--but the blindfold they'd fastened over her face admitted only the faintest traces of light.

She flexed her wrists with great care, wiggling her fingers periodically to keep circulation going, but otherwise... Imayo simply sat and waited.

What else could she do, truly?

All of her learning involved herbs--medicines and poisons--or tattooing, exorcisms or prayers. Those would be of no help to her against the living. Not even against the Kurosawa, whose voices she'd recognized. It didn't surprise Imayo that they'd have a place such as this--a cave thick with the scent of old blood, beeswax, incense. She'd been unconscious for an indeterminate time, and so couldn't even guess the cave's exact location.

Imayo did, however, know the whispers that wafted past the nubs of her horns. How long had the Kurosawa been holding onto a haunted cave on Mount Rokkon? She couldn't see her surroundings, but she did feel the aether. A former shrine attendant knew what the sacred mountain felt like.

She moved a bit, shifting on the cool stone, and let her body slump forward to rest her head on her knees. Imayo closed her eyes behind the blindfold and worked her lips together, swallowing hard to push back tears.

If anything happened to the toy, Kokoro would be unharmed. She hoped. The rules for hitori kakurenbo didn't explain much beyond the game itself; nothing she'd found detailed what might happen when the possession of the doll went far beyond a single night. Or what could happen if the possession became willing.

However, the doll didn't hold Kokoro's essence permanently. If they chose to break the link, or the doll became so badly damaged that the rice poured out along with the bits of herself--scales, hair, nails, blood--that she'd used to bind them... Surely that would just release Kokoro and not keep them captive.

She sincerely hoped so. And hoped even harder that she'd dropped Kokoro as she ran from the wildly laughing man who'd chased her across the old battlefield. If she'd lost her grip on Kokoro then, the Kurosawa were unlikely to have them.

Imayo swallowed hard, pressing her blindfolded face against her knees.

"I'm sorry," she whispered.

To Yein, the only precious friend she'd made. To Isamu, who she'd entertained daydreams of while enjoying what little time he deigned to give her. To the yakuza who came to her for their tattoos, to the elderly miqo'te woman who bought a year's worth of dried pennyroyal at a time. To the rooftop garden, the plants which would likely wither and die without care, and the sparrows that rested there on their journeys.

She swallowed again, feeling how dry her throat was becoming, and shrugged her shoulders a bit, simply to let her loose hair fall over her arms to give her a little coverage.

All she could hope for now was that Kokoro's doll would disintegrate and give them freedom, and that she wouldn't end up one of the very onryō she'd spent so many years sending to their rest.

Darling: *Picks up a few papers, sneezing when dust went up her nose* They seemed terrified of their boss

Ophelia: Or they could be acting, how do we know Livia and Minako are here?

Isamu: Guys, is that TV supposed to be on?

Freya: *Perks up and turns around, looking at the TV* Huh?

Estella: The clocks around here work too

Isamu: *Reaches over hitting the TV*

Ok, so.... I've IDed most of these Licca dolls that are coming in by character at least. I've not tried going any farther than that.

Kira, Izumi, and Licca

Sailor Moon, Papa/Pierre, either 2nd or 3rd gen Isamu (they look very similar, I think those are G3 eyebrows, G2 Isamu has some monster brows)

I think all three of these are Licca but one's taller so I'm not sure as there aren't any clear photos of their faces, ??????, one of the Kindergarten Friends or someone's younger sibling.

Ok I’m not putting this in the tags or tagging it cause I want it to remain a surprise that I figured out first, but I need to share it to the world. I’m pretty sure I know the two songs returning in DAEMON/DOLL.

Wildcard by Kira (track 2) and Pathological Facade by Ghost (track 9)

So on the site they have all the names and producers X’d out but they kept the same amount of letters in the producer name and song title. Track 2 is 8 letters long by a 4 letter long producer, and Track 9 is 12 and 6 letters long by a 5 letter long producer which perfectly fits the titles and producer names of them.

Secondly, the artist section has some text when you hover over each artist, which what I believe to be song lyrics for the musicians (the merch artist, key artists Crispy, and Organizers Lone and Rice all have short descriptions of who they are instead). And for two of those artists (both second from the top), they have lyrics from those songs

“Something theoretical, I guess” (from Pathological Facade)

“Are you ready?” (From Wildcard)

The only hole here is that “are you ready” comment comes from someone with 6 characters in their name rather 4 characters (though the one with 4 characters is right above so it might be a coding error, plus they got the right amount of characters for the other producer so idk).

Plus the songs themselves make sense from a marketing standpoint. Both Ghost and Kira are huge in the vocasynth fandom, have been around for about a decade now I believe, and both their songs have hit over 1 million views on YouTube (currently WILDCARD is at 1.9 million views and Pathological Facade is at 2 million). Not to mention both being in the top 8 most popular synthv Teto song category (with WILDCARD at number 2 and Pathological Facade at number 4). If they have only brought back 2 songs for the album, it would be those two. So maybe it’s a non-brainer.

But still, I am running on the quarter to 2 in the morning fumes and I doubt any of this makes sense.

Either way, huge congratulations to Kira and Ghost, and also the other people who helped make both songs (Johnny R, monii, Hissya, Okiku and Isamu from ASTEROID for Wildcard; and Monstrosity and mora for Pathological Facade). Full credit to everyone, I love Teto SynthV and may it always be her territory.

feeling very. existential i guess. about isamu. ofc i was already feeling not great about him lately because i feel like i have to hide him because barely anybody really seems interested in him. but its like, I don't owe him. he's not my oc. he's just the krypt guy. i just took him for my own. he's not my oc, i don't own him to any capacity. my characterizing of him doesnt matter, because everybody has a completely different take on the krypt guy, mine doesn't matter. i put literally years into working on him and making a character for him, but none of it matters because he's not mine. and itd be fine just characterizing him if i didn't keep calling him my oc when he's not.

but i can't bring myself to stop playing with him like he's mine. he's my barbie doll. hes significant to me like any other oc. but it's still just... sorta heartbreaking suddenly feeling this huge disconnect between me and this "doll" ive been playing with for years.

“Goodbye, darling! Have a good day!” Izuku says, waving before he heads out to work and to take his daughter to daycare. Isamu waves at you too, smiling widely at you. “Bye bye, mama/daddy!” Isamu says, waving at you too before both of them head out.

“Bye, see you later!” You smile as they both walk out the door. You couldn’t believe that you found yourself liking it here. You’re not sure how long it’s been since you’ve been kidnapped by Izuku, but even after being taken by him and almost forced to play family with him. Acting as a parent to his daughter and as a partner for him. And for some reason you liked it.

You liked greeting both of them when they came home. You liked picking up Isamu in your arms before giving Izuku a kiss on the lips. You liked helping him cook dinner and do the laundry. And you genuinely don’t know why. You should hate him, you should fear him. Yet you loved him, you felt like you loved him. You could see a life for you and him.

After reading a bit of a book and finishing up some laundry, you remember a newfound freedom that Izuku has given you. He had given you access to the TV! Izuku had said that you deserved access to it because you had been so good for him lately. So you decide to watch a little bit of TV.

You press a button on the remote to look at the different channels. The first one that comes up is the news and you’re immediately met with a familiar face. It’s you. A photo of you taken before your kidnapping. You look over the photo, you don’t even recognize the clothing in the photo as you’ve been wearing the ones Izuku got you for so long. Your hair is shorter in the picture as well as it had been taken a while ago.

You keep watching. It was had been three months since you disappeared. Massive search hunts had been sent out to find you. Yet they never were able to find you. They were never able to find you because you were stuck in the number one hero's apartment.

You don’t even notice the tears on rolling face as you watch your friends and family beg for you to come home. And begging for however has you to give you back. You glance around at your surroundings. You’re kidnapped by on obsessive stalker who forces you to play house with him and his daughter.

You don’t even bother turn off the TV, simply walking to the bedroom in a daze and collapsing onto the bed. You just need some rest. You slip into unconsciousness fairly quickly.

Izuku comes back not understanding why you are suddenly so quiet. It’s like all the progress you had gone through had suddenly disappeared. You don’t even bother getting out of bed when Isamu climbs on top of you wanting you to play dolls with her. You just lay there, numb.

Izuku just tells himself that your tired. You’ll relearn to love him eventually. You have to eventually love him, he knows that you just have too.

All of the Jenny and Licca dolls' hair is smoothed.

The conditioner doesn't seem to be doing anything anymore. They did change their formula a while back, and I had dumped the new conditioner into the old pump bottle with what was left of the old conditioner. I guess I hit the new stuff and it's not very effective. That sucks. Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine conditioner was the best with synthetics that I've tried and relatively easy to get a hold of.

As for soaking them in laundry sanitizer to get rid of the mold smell, some of them smell like laundry sanitizer and some smell like dirt which is weird but better than smelling like mold.

I need to pop out Isamu's arms and straighten the wire. It looks weird on one side. I'm not sure I want to attempt it, though. It's not something I've done before.

A lot of them could use a little SunBox time for their fingertips, and one has stained arms which could be discoloration from the internal wire.

Now I have three of the set!

Need to find Izumi something to wear.

All three's hair change color with the flat iron but it does take a good amount of heat to get it to change. Aki's goes from orange to yellow, Licca's purple to blue, and Izumi's strawberry pink to peach.

The other Izumi's hair goes from a dark forest-y green to lime.

The joy of getting one more from this set is tempered by having to face needing to get rid of all of my dolls, again. I'm really struggling with being ok with doing that.

But if I can get enough job to get enough home, maybe I won't have to get rid of all of them.
