This book is a guide for those who are interested in Japanese-language teaching and those who want to become Japanese-language teachers, and consists of four sections, with authors who are active in Japanese-language teaching institutions in Japan and overseas introducing the various fields of Japanese-language teaching in a broad manner in Section 1 and in depth in Section 2. Section 3 introduces the means of studying to become a Japanese-language teacher, Section 4 gives an overview of the content of the Japanese Language Teaching Proficiency Test, and Section 5 introduces the significance of taking the test. Section 3 provides an overview of the means of studying to become a Japanese language teacher, while Section 4 gives an overview of the content of the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test and the significance of taking the test. Although the act of ""teaching Japanese"" is the same, what meaning is attached to it differs from person to person. This book contributes to the reader's own 'meaning-making'.

Here's an example of some of that shifting frame I'm talking about, as we truly enter the 21st, and leave behind the 20th Century. This is actually a really normal interaction that you see in 20th century media. Most people my age and older understand it as completely normal and it is not seen as autistic.

I have had to reassure any number of people that asking for the same beverage two visits in a row, and or being a regular at a specific restaurant, is not weird.

Maybe it is weird now. I don't know.

But it would not have been considered weird at ANY point during the majority of my lifetime. You will see this kind of an interaction in a majority of 20th century sitcoms. Probably even later ones. But I suspect that the people the most worried about this, are not in the media consumption silo that would show this. Sitcoms will show this, but lots of the most socially anxious people do not watch sitcoms. (I've noticed this for ages.)

"The Usual" is actually NOT an inconvenience to shopkeepers.

Hello my dears

My life consisted of my beautiful, wonderful work with international companies and agencies. In addition, I was working on developing myself and my photography equipment.

Suddenly it was gone and all my dreams, ambitions and equipment in the family’s 5-storey house were destroyed

I was trying to create a project of a lifetime after hard years of continuous work, but before starting it, it was destroyed as well

Now I will tell you about my brother. He is a visual artist and a calligraphy artist, and everything he owned was destroyed

Now I will talk about my mother, the beautiful, generous woman. We owned a kindergarten and she ran it despite her illnesses with diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis. They also burned and destroyed the kindergarten to the point that they did not leave us anything to earn a living from, and now, after the difficulty of the road out of Gaza, we do not know how to travel to treat my mother.

I am asking you to please save the life of an entire family and I hope that you will help me so that we can all travel 🙏🏽

Random writing tips that my history professor just told during class that are actually helpful

Download all your sources or print them so you can turn off your wifi

Give your phone to someone

Just. WRITE. Writing is analysing, you’ll get more ideas as you write. It doesn’t need to be perfect, for now you can just blurt out words and ideas randomly. You can fix it later.

Create a skeleton/structure before writing.

Stop before you get exhausted. It’s best to stop writing when you still have some energy and inspiration left, this will also motivate you to get started again next time.

Make a to do list

Work in bite sizes. Even if it’s not much, as long as you put some ideas on paper or do some editing.

Simple language =/= boring language, simple language = clear language.

Own your words. If they are not your words, state this clearly in the text, not just in the footnotes.

STOP BEFORE YOU GET EXHAUSTED. Listing it again because it’s easily one of the best tips a teacher has ever given me.

Internal inquiry? What does that look like

so basically i got a U in my physics A(S)-Level exam (twelfth grade for people who didn't attend school in england). which means that i scored so badly that i couldn't be awarded a grade. and i attended an academically selective school which was considered one of the best public schools in the entire country (my parents' doing, i did not want to be there lol). they had never had someone get a U grade before, ever. so i made history! unfortunately though it did mean that my physics teacher had to be investigated to make sure it was my fault for being stupid and not his for being a shit teacher.
