🚁🎲🐒 A wild ride of a book! As a drunken pilot and gambling fiend, I was ecstatic to read "Straight Flush" by Ben Mezrich. 🔥 This tale of a group of college friends who started a high-stakes online gambling business, Absolute Poker, had me hooked from start to finish. 💰 🚀 The book captures the cutthroat nature of the industry and the need to stay ahead of the competition. But it's not just about the business. It also delves into the personal lives of the characters, exploring their relationships, rivalries, and moral dilemmas. 💔 A rollercoaster of emotions that I won't forget! 💸 I unfortunately know the feeling of losing a fat stack, as I lost $111,696.11 in the Absolute Poker bust. 💸 Ben Mezrich seems to be the only winner in this story. 🙈 And let's not forget my trusty imaginary monkey, who had his own thoughts and opinions as I read. 😂 📚 In conclusion, I highly recommend "Straight Flush" to anyone interested in online gambling or just a wild tale of greed, betrayal, and redemption. Back from A.C., I will post a trip report, just not today. I played in DADI last night and busted around 60th when my Q's were beat by CJ's Kings. I don't think I played the hand wrong, I just ran into a monster. Owell. I was probably the only เว็บสล็อตเว็บตรง at the table that included CJ, Maudie, Derek, Kaellinn, Surflexus, Easycure, and a couple others that I can't recall. Fun times as always, but one of these days I'm gonna go deep. But for now I'll take another DADI assbeating. Congrats to the winner, and to Guns and Poker for his second blogger tourney in a row in the money

Not sure if I'll be able to make Mookie on Weds., although I am going to try. If you haven't played yet, give it a try, it is a lot of fun. No WWDN this week, but I am curious about the Tournament of Champions that is being set up. I'll just have to wait for more info.

Okay, I am going to post some about A.C. now, probably more later though. We left from Baltimore around 12:30-1:00 and arrived shortly before 4:00 p.m. The drive as a little long because it was raining and there were a few accidents slowing down traffic. I had enough money with me to play in the 6:15 tourney that was $300 + 60, but I wanted to see how I was running at the time before I committed. My table was a Grade A Donkfest. I started in the 2 seat and had a view on the whole table. I recognized 2 people from previous trips and began to avoid these players for the rest of the night. One was a very friendly man in the 7 seat who I had played multiple times with and was a very solid player, the other was a very stone cold guy who was balding and talkative, but I had seem him win consistently whenever we played together. Within an hour I was up $60 with about the tightest play imaginable. Two of my early wins were in my BB with garbage hands that hit hard. Betting out and getting 3-4 callers on the flop, 2-3 on the turn and 1-2 on the river is an excellent situation when holding the nuts. Limit poker does have it's downfalls though. I had a flopped two pair (KQ) beat by (J4 soooted) on the river, AQ beat by A3 with runner runner 3's on the turn and river, and other such beats. Hovered around/below even for a long while before I picked up 45 of clubs in the BB. 5 callers and the flop came Ah 3c 6c. So I had picked up the openended straightflush draw, good stuff. Flop is capped by myself, young player (not good player, yes I can say young, he was younger than 25) and old asian lady (note: OAL has invested AT LEAST $300-$400 into this game, as I've seen her play and rebuy for 6 hours at this point, this happens when you play every hand). Turn is a blank the betting is now capped by OAL and the young player. River is 8 clubs. OAL bets and I am a little worried that someone was drawing to the same flush so I just call. Young player has AK and OAL has....wait for it....almost....THE SOOOTED HAMMER!!! So, her flush with a 7 kicker beat my flush with a 5 kicker. She also had both of my straight flush outs and I was in deep trouble from the start of the hand. D'oh. Made me laugh though, as I hadn't had the hammer, nor seen it dropped the whole day. Not that she knew what it was, but I yelled hammer! anyway, bringing the weird stares from my tablemates.

My favorite player was the kid to my right who I had the pleasure of spending 5-6 hours with. We'll call him Scott Evil, since he beared a striking resemblence to Seth Green. Scott Evil loved to play poker, loved to criticize people for drawing to straights, making bad plays, etc., etc. Problem with Scott Evil, he played every single hand. UTG with J4? Well, maybe I'll flop two pair, call. No raising, position is useless, just an idiot. Scott Evil cracked my aces that I raised with UTG. The whole table folded and he called me down with Q4. Flop ended up being A3756. Rough, but fine.

I am generally as quiet as can be at the table. Small talk is good, but I just keep to myself and observe everything I can. On this particular trip, I was certain not to be driving home, so I had myself a few rum and cokes. I happen to be a happy drunk. Want to hear me talk a lot, give me a couple drinks, I'll talk your head off, otherwise I'm tend to lean towards the shy side. After the second drink Scott Evil folded a hand in MP. Not missing a beat I turned to him and asked, "What on earth could you possibly be folding?"

As the table erupts in laughter. Although his bad play was the main factor, I take credit for the tilt induced state he was in for the remainder of our time together.

Scott Evil started with $150. I am fairly certain he was up over $250 after a couple of fat pots early on (suckouts, but they were huge pots). When I got up at 1 in the morning, Scott Evil had won his all in hand with his last $2 in the big blind to get up to $10. Far from a Billion dollars Scotty boy. Shame I couldn't stick around to take the rest. That's all for now, gotta get back to work. Had a great time last night, can't wait for the next event. Take care.

McZupp Corporation

McZupp Corporation is the sole Hexopoly corporation that remains a major player in the Void outside of the Hexopoly's sphere of influence. Its CEO, Emericald McZupp, masterminded the shattering of the Fourth Wall and the subsequent disaster reconstruction efforts by utilizing his late wife's research notes, and the corporation immediately moved to acquire a monopoly on Chancylvanian-produced voidship engines and shielding. While its industry was once solely robotics and consumer electronics, it now also serves as a vector for the other corporations to gain a foothold outside the Hexopoly's influence.

As of the present day, McZupp Corporation handles military technology and mercenary work, drone-based e-commerce shipping for hyve.net, printing and distribution for card game Crossfire Monocle Breakdown and its expansions, and the extremely popular Loot In The Box fast food chain (known as Substantially's in its home universe). Still, it maintains a connection to its roots by continuing to operate a consumer electronics development and manufacturing plant in Straightflush Swamp, built a few miles away from the long-abandoned Chancylvanian And Shellestokaran Institute for Narrative Occurrences.

Emericald McZupp himself is considered by many to be an unabashed eccentric. Perpetually """overworked""" (his own words) and entirely flippant, his quirky, disarming exterior hides an extremely sharp and conniving mind- or at least it used to. In recent years, Emericald has been less headstrong than in past times- and some rumors swirl about that he's become entirely apathetic to the inner workings of his own company. These reports are corroborated by McZupp Corporation's startling (and heavily suppressed) workplace injury statistics, which have only trended upwards in recent years but of which the general populace remains unaware. Emericald's son Daniethyst Keanezite McZupp (known as "Keane" to his fans), a model for the McZupp Sentinel™ line of power armor and a (relatively minor) celebrity on the Voidic stage, was recently entangled in the events of the Paradox Wars as a Descendant. The publicly available Vwitter feed of his (possibly self-described) best friend Ian Lunaris indicates that Keane's small and reclusive friend group acquired and played a pirated game of SBURB for an unknown reason; shortly after, the esteemed grounds of McZupp Manor disappeared, as well as Keane himself. Keane has since been identified as one of the Descendants in conflict with the Godmodder, elevating him to the status of a Chancylvanian national hero- albeit one who has mysteriously remained out of contact with authorities for many months.

The Chancylvanian Hexopoly

In the early-ish days after the Second Godmodding War and the collapse of the Trifecta, no one was around to help pick up the pieces. As the Void darkened and grew more caustic, the effects of the IUPC's removal from the timeline began to pile up more urgently- the various remaining Voidic polities were doing what they could, but that only goes so far when one of the Void's biggest peacemakers retroactively disappears from existence.

Then, a salvation of sorts. A lone universe, previously thought unremarkable- mostly because almost no one had ever heard of it- shattered through its fourth wall to lend aid. With only a small functioning fleet of voidships and an above-average understanding of narrative trope invocation, one universe alone could not hope to help everyone, but a sizable chunk of smaller polities found themselves indebted to Chancylvania for its assistance.

Some of them very literally, when the bill arrived.

The Chancylvanian Hexopoly is not the Chancylvanian government, but only by the barest of technicalities. Instead, each of the six corporations in question- Obsidian Investments, McZupp Corporation, Explosion Collective, Hyve.net, Lucky 7 Entertainment, and Substantially®, Limited- are owned by one of the six Oligarchs, with each company specializing in a breadth of different industries- and due to the oligarchic capitalist structure of Chancylvania, the CEO of each business also serves as a member of the nation's executive council- the High Rulers.

what started like a simple, tranquil day rapidly became much more hectic and irritating, so much that rouxls just wants to go to sleep. he’s been surrounded by enough problems to not even wish to solve a puzzle to calm his nerves down  ——  he solved enough of them already, with all the happenings of the day. between confused soldiers not knowing where they’re even supposed to stay, sudden requests from above that made him run through half the reign, parts of the castle that fell, they just fell with no reason, and that little goofball brat of lancer causing mayhem on purpose, rouxls could be defined absolutely done.

reason why seeing someone walking in a part of the castle that is supposed to be empty, and not recognizing them immediately, doesn’t exactly makes him happy.
